Filters at filed level in BD64?

I am trying to create filters on field level. But i didnt see any 'create filters' button in BD64 tcode in ECC6 verion.
Any body plzz suggest me y is it so?
or is there any other way of creating filters on field level?

Hi,
You can use the filter criteria even in ECC 6.0 as in previous versions.
In BD64 please when you open all the nodes of the MODEL, you will see no filter set. Double click on it and it will take you to the screen to create the filter.
YOu can create some filter criterias for only some restricted fields.
Anyways whats the message type u r using
Hope this would help.

  • IDoc Filtering at data level

    hi all
I am filtering the Idoc CREAMS ...as i want to send only few fields of segment E1LFA1M .
Using transaction BD53 i could send only this segment only  .
but I even dont want to send all the fileds of this segment  E1LFA1M . I only want to send 3 fields (LIFNR , NAME1, ORT01) from this segment . how can I now supress the other fileds from this segment.?
so that my Idoc will contain only one segment E1LFA1M with only 3 fileds LIFNR , NAME1, ORT01?
    Regards
    Sheetal

    Hi,
you'd need to delete them in a user exit
withing SAP you can only do the filtering on segment level
you can also do it in the mapping inside XI of course

  • Filters at record level and filters restrictions at cell level

    Hello Crystal Report friends:
We are aware that we can apply filters globally (record Level). We need to add additional filters(Restrictions) at cell level. How do we apply filters at a cell Level?
    Regards,
    Joe Gonzales

And along with what Ian said be careful when exporting also, some suppressed fields may export even though you have supressed them, so you are not removing the data, just hiding it. If the user has rights to edit the report they could "unhide" the info.
Depending on the version of CR you are using depends on the output, our export formats tend to change on how they work and what is exported etc.
There are Various DB tools from SAP Enterprise that has the ability to do row level filtering if that is an option for you.

  • Previews missing at catalog and drive level.  Unable to use filters at this level.  Missing folders.

Using LR4 (not 4.1) and Win7 Home Premium.
Catalog had been upgraded from LR3 and  LR4 catalog was working fine until now. I've been using LR since the begining.
Two problems, probably related.  106K photos over two drives, almost 3Tb.
At the catalog level, there are no previews.  Normally previews of all 106K photos would be displayed. Message is "Click the "import" button to begin."  Filter function does not work Message:  "No photos match the filter"
At the drive level, there are no previews.  Message is "No photos in selected folder" Filter function does not work Message:  "No photos match the filter"
At the folder level, everything is fine, except two folders give the same message "No photos in selected folder"  Filter function does not work in these two folders: Message:  "No photos match the filter"  14K photos between the two bad folders
Dozens, hundreds, of other folders and subfolders are fine. Filter function works fine at folder and subfolder level.
Collections are fine, including photos in the two folders giving the mesage "No photos in selected folder"
    What I've done:
    uninstalled and reinstalled LR4 twice.
    Downloaded and installed clean LR4.
    Same problems
Tried to import the missing folders.  Won't import because they're already in the catalog.  Won't import even if I uncheck "Don't import suspected duplicates"
Exported as a catalog one of the "No photos in selected folder" folders.  It appeared to create a viable catalog with previews, search filters, etc.  I edited a few photos with no problems.  Although it did give a message saying several hundred previews were missing.  But they seem to be there anyway.
Deleted the folder from the catalog and imported from catalog the working folder catalog that I just created.
    Same problems.
Exported as a catalog  the other "No photos in selected folder" folder.  Same result as the first bad folder.  I.e. It appeared to create a viable catalog with previews, search filters, etc.  Although it did give a message saying several hundred previews were missing.  But they seem to be there anyway.
Haven't done anything with this second folder catalog.  Intriguing, the same message about missing previews.
The actual files and *.xmp files are in the bad folders.
    Now what?

Discovered a thread in this forum.  Known problem solved by 4.1 beta.  Upgraded to LR4.1 and problem solved.

  • How to give filters from Year level to day level in dashboard?

    Hi all,
I have some 7 to 10 components and i want the filter from Year level to day (Year,Quarter,Month, Week and Day) with "All" option as default from Quarter to Day level.
As default Only current year should be selected for which my components should display 4 quarters data
and when any quarter is selected my components should display 3 respective months data
then when particular month is selected then my components should display 4 weeks data
when week is selected the 7 days data
and last when day is selected only that days data should be displayed.
All the data will be coming from Database, to get data we need to build query & prompts and map accordingly
And those prompts should be mapped to these filters and work dynamically.
If anyone know how to implement this please let me know.
    Regards
    Nithesh M R

    Hi,
As you said try to prompts for all the above mentioned filtering criteria, then use the combo box as a drop down filter, In first combo box take year list. From second combo box take the data in Tree view using filtered rows insertion type. Below given link can give you a idea how to pass the subsequent values to the next cell.
Instead of continent & country & ..... you can take quarter, month, week and so on, so your combo box fills the data automatically.

  • Filtering in Privilege level !!

Hi all. I am not using AAA. Just using privilege command to move commands between levels. now my question is simple. I want to assign level 2 to my user admin. And he can ONLY run sh interfaces. No other command ( this includes the default set of command coming with privilege level 2) shouldnt be allowed. The user can only run sh interfaces and thats it. Kindly tell me how to do it
    1) without AAA, using privilege commands
    2) with AAA using local authorization.
Thanks in advance, kindly guide me

This link should work for both.

  • Page and filed level security

Currently we are in the process of developing pages which involve both role based security as well as page level security. For e.g. depending upon a user is Admin or Moderator or guest user, certain pages may/may not be visible to him/her.
At the same time within a page itself some fields may or may not be editable to them.
How can u achive both a coarse grained as well as fine grained security mechanism.

Container security will be able to achieve this.
In the web.xml you can specify individual pages/folders which require a certain role to access. That should do you well enough for page level security. You need to define <security-role> and <security-constraint> sections in web.xml
With regards to components on the page, you have to go to the coding level. There are helper methods such as request.isUserInRole() which you can use to include/leave out various bits of a page.
    Hope this helps,

  • How to create Current Year Filter at Universe Level ?

    Hi,
I want to create a Current Year, Next Year and Last Year filters at Universe Level.
Can anyone help me with this.
I am using Netezza database and not able to find the appropriate date function in Netezza to accomplish this.
    Any suggestions ?
    Thanks

    Hi,
You would somehow need to extract the Year part from the system date..
    then
    Current Year = Year
Next Year would be i.e Current Year + 1
Last Year would be i.e Current Year - 1
I guess this is the simple part... but you would need to find those functions on your RDBMS..
    Hope this helps

  • Access Control Mechanism (data level security) not working properly

    Hi Experts,
I have done datalevel security for groups by help of a database table. This table contains UserId, Dept. code, GroupName column. UserID are verified by LDAP server during logging into Dashboard. I have made two init blocks for GroupName and Dept.Code .
    Query is :
    SELECT 'Group', GroupName from TABLE
    Where
    UserId = ':USER'
Similiar query is for Dept Code.
There are two groups ; 1. CC_User 2. Full_User. I have applied filter in PERMISSIONS for CC_User on Fact table on Dept Code. So, user in this group may see data for Dept Code aligned to him in the table. All_User may see whole data for All Dept Codes as NO filter is applied on this group.
Dept Code , UserId and GroupName are Varchar.
Now problem is this when a user have membership of one group , it works fine. For CC_user it shows data for its Dept Code and All_user may see whole data.
But When A user have permission of both the groups , only data related to CC_User group is visible. But, in my view , maximum permmision out of the both groups must be applied to the user if he belongs to more than one group.
So , here , he must see whole data, as All_user group can see full data.
Does least restrictive permmission happens in case of membership of more than one group in OBIEE.

The most restrictive filters get applied if a user belongs to multiple groups that have filters at various levels of data because its always an AND clause in the where condition. This is the sort of behavior in various tools I have seen apart from OBIEE.
    Hope this helps.

  • OBI + Essbase filtering slow

    Hi,
I have a report that uses Essbase 9.3.1. as data source. When I create a filter on some dimension that includes members form more than one level, the report runs much slower.
    Example:
we have a dimension "Organizational Unit" with levels from Gen1 to Gen6, the filter is defined for example as
    Organizational Unit.Gen2,Organizational Unit = 'Country1' and Organizational Unit.Gen3,Organizational Unit = 'Region1'.
Alternatively, we can have a filter defined as
Organizational Unit.Gen3,Organizational Unit = 'Region1' which gives the same results as the above filter ('Region1' is a member at the next/child level of 'Country1'), but runs much faster.
Neither Organizational Unit.Gen2,Organizational Unit nor Organizational Unit.Gen3,Organizational Unit are present in the report itself (we only filter upon those columns).
This speed difference does not occur when both Organizational Unit.Gen2,Organizational Unit and Organizational Unit.Gen3,Organizational Unit columns are present in the report.
When examining the generated MDX query I have noticed there is a difference in the where clause of the query:
    MDX1, both columns in filter:
    +With
    set [Organizational Unit5] as '{[Organizational Unit].[Country1]}'
    set [Organizational Unit6] as 'Filter(Generate({[Organizational Unit5]}, Descendants([Organizational Unit].currentmember, [Organizational Unit].Generations(6),SELF), ALL), ([Organizational Unit].CurrentMember IS [Organizational Unit].[Region1]))'
    set [Time3] as '{[Time].[MONTH_3_2010]}'
    member [Organizational Unit].[Organizational UnitCustomGroup]as 'Sum([Organizational Unit6])', SOLVE_ORDER = AGGREGATION_SOLVEORDER
    select
    { [Accounts].[EVA]
    } on columns,
NON EMPTY {{[Time3]}} properties ANCESTOR_NAMES, GEN_NUMBER on rows
    from [NISEPL.NISEPL]
    *where ([Organizational Unit].[Organizational UnitCustomGroup])*+
MDX2, only 1 column in filter:
    +With
    set [Time3] as '{[Time].[MONTH_3_2010]}'
    select
    { [Accounts].[EVA]
    } on columns,
NON EMPTY {{[Time3]}} properties ANCESTOR_NAMES, GEN_NUMBER on rows
    from [NISEPL.NISEPL]
    *where ([Organizational Unit].[Region1])*+
The second MDX's where clause limits the unit "directly" to Region1, whilst the first makes a custom group of members and then filter upon that custom group. It seems this is causing the performance issue, which can be huge (up to 5x when working on large dimensions or multiple dimensions).
I don't have the option on limiting filters to just one, because the filter is being created through dashboard prompt on which we have all the levels of the dimension with constrain option so all levels get sent to the filter in Answers. Also, the report is to be filtered on different levels depending on the chosen prompt and constrain option is also required because of the size of the dimension.
Does anyone have some idea how to resolve this?
Perhaps creating the filter in a way that it would take/send to Answers report only the last chosen level on the prompt?

Thanks John that worked. But when I applied the patches again I am getting the same Error, " Unable to open the application".
I cleared the Temporary java files again, even then i am getting this error.

  • Filtering on 0activity - how to achieve this in a query?

    Hi all,
I have a requirement in my report which is: Give me, of all network numbers, only they keyfigures concering activity 0001.
In the BEx querydesigner I have 0WBS_ELEMT, 0NETWORK and 0ACTIVITY as characteristics.
The next step is that I want to filter on a certain activity code, say 0001.
The only problem is that the key of 0ACTIVITY consists of both 0NETWORK and 0ACTIVITY and I can never select just 0001 as a filter.
Is there a way to achieve filtering on query level? Or do I have to adapt my model in BW?
    Thanks,
    JW

    Thank you Alexander!
Well, I found several sub optimal solutions in the query designer.
One is creating a variable with an offset value to select only the activity code, and using this to create a keyfig z_activity to display just the activity code. Then, you can set a condition on this keyfig to show only certain activity codes.
    Advantage: datamodeling unchanged.
    Disadvantage: high maintenance solution
The optimal solution seems to be on the BW-side: an option is to define an attribute only z-infoobject and add it to InfoObject 0ACTIVITY, filling via the routine of the InfoObject in the maintenance screen.
The downside to Alexanders solution is that, by adding it to the InfoProvider, you make it transaction data while it is actually master data...

  • O.T. Hundreds Of Digital Filters For 15 days

Optical filter maker Tiffen has made its digital filter software available as a free trial download.
    http://www.amateurphotographer.co.uk/news/Tiffen_digital_filters_now_available_as_free_15d ay_trial_news_163181.html

OK - Not sure what happened, but I got it working.
    Here is what I did:
    1 - I de-installed PSE6 and reinstalled it
2 - The base directories for my filters were in a directory I created: d:\Data\Socuments\Adobe\PSE Plugins\Filters
3 - I started PSE 6 and went to Edit--->Preferences--->Plug-Ins... and entered the plug-in directory name: "d:\Data\Documents\Adobe\PSE Plugins".
    4 - Closed and re-started PSE 6
    5 - No new filters!
    6 - Closed PSE 6
7 - Moved the filters down one level to my "d:\Data\Documents\Adobe\PSE Plugins" directory
8 - Restarted PSE and the filters are now there!
I KNOW I tried this earlier and it didn't work (well - I THINK I tried it, at least :-) )
    Sorry for the confusion.

  • IDOC change pointer key filtering

    Hi Experts,
I have created a message type ( ymatmas_xxxx ) and activated change pointers for this message type.
So now may requriement is :
    If I have activated 10 fields in chanage pointer , so IDOC should trigger only if any of the 10 fields are changed in material master ;
    But my problem is;
there should be another filtering done for MAKTX-SPRAS = "E". so that only when description of materail in English language is changed then IDOC should trigger. ( For same material if some other language is triggered then idoc should not trigger )
I have checked customer exit  and restricted the MAKTX-spras = 'EN' but what happens is even if other language is changed IDOC is getting triggered for english language; how do SAP know for which language is material description has changed.
Please advice is any other way to overcome this situation

    Hi,
You can not do selective value based filtters on change pointers. Instead you can use ALE filters.
Also, instead of making code change you can achieve it via configuration. You can create filter in your distribution model. As E1MAKTM is a mandatory segment in the IDOC, the IDOC generation will need atleast one E1MAKTM segment. If you filter all the languages <> "EN" then SAP IDOC genration process will remove ALE segment, E1MAKTM where language <> "EN". Once it deletes segment, it atleast need one E1NAKTM segment to genearte the IDOC, if there is one change for EN then only system will generate the IDOC. You can configure the filters per receiver so that you dont have to apply filters for some other receiver.
To configure the filters you can use transaction BD64 and change the distibution model. If you do not have field for E1MAKTM segment then you have to add the fields via transaction "BD59". Also you can create your own ALE object type using "BD95".
I hope this resolves your issue.
    Cheers,

  • Top Level Navigation Manipulation in "Hosted Portal"

We are in a position where we have to begin hosting additional content in our portal from a portal that is being decommissioned.
The problem is we need to keep it seperate from the existing content from a user access point of view.
While users can have access to roles from the existing content and from the soon to be "hosted" content, they have not to be seen in the portal at the same time.
For example if the user accesses the portal with URL 1 they only see tabs in the top level navigation for the current content but if they access using URL 2 they only see tabs in the top level navigation for the "hosted" content.
I know we can control most of the issues such hosting raises using URL Aliases in our Desktop Rules to display different desktops, but wanted to know if anyone knows of a simple way that this can be enforced in the standard top level navigation iView via either configuration or simple code change to prevent us having to develop our own TLN to cope with this.
We are currently on EP7.0 SP13
Thanks (and of course points) for any help you can offer.

    Hi Micheal,
    Thanks for your suggestions.
We have managed to get halfway to our required solution with a very simple change to a copy of the standard top level navigation whereby we only process the PrintNavNodes method for iterations of the "initialNodes" which have the required node names - e.g.
private void PrintNavNodes(IPortalComponentRequest request, IPortalComponentResponse response)
    for(Iterator it = initialNodes.iterator(); it.hasNext();)   {
    INavigationNode initialNode = (INavigationNode)it.next();
// Start of Change - Portal Share Project
    String nodeName = initialNode.getName();
    if ( nodeName.endsWith("ccmaint_user")  ||  nodeName.endsWith("ccmaint_supervisor")  ) {
// End of Change - Portal Share Project
    firstContent = PrintNode(initialNode, request, response, 0);
    try {
This effectively filters out the unwanted tabs in the desktop where this amended TLN is used.
This works fine where the tabs you want to see have sort priority putting them at the front of the list but leads to problems when used for the converse set of content as the desktop is still referring to the full "initialNodes" list and so while filtering at this level does render the TLN as required, it becomes unusable as the tab positions are still considered to be as they would be if you had not filtered any.
    For example:
We have 5 tabs in total.  For URL 1 we wish to show only tabs 1 & 2.  For URL 2 we want tabs 3, 4 & 5.
Using this method for URL 1 we are fine as Tabs 1 & 2 are in the correct positions but for URL 2 when the tabs are rendered they appear in positions 1, 2 & 3 as required but act somewhat as though they are still in positions 3, 4 & 5 (e.g. Select the first tab and the 3rd is highlighted and a page error occurs - "'children' is null or not an object").
Not only this but the Inner Page still displays the content from the filtered tab 1 as opposed to tab 3.
Can anyone advise a way we can get round these issues?
    Thanks
    Ian.
P.S. Please excuse my naïvety in this area.
