FIM 2010 Sync Error : stopped-database-connection-lost

Hello everyone,
a weird thing just happened to me,
i'm synchronizing my MA and suddently i get the "stopped-database-connection-lost" error
i have 5 Galsync MAs working perfectly and this sixth one just failing ... (since like today)
which makes me wonder what is happening ... ?
any ideas ?
thanks !
Hitch Bardawil

Hitch,
Look in the event log on the FIM Sync Server and on the SQL Server.
This error occurs when FIM can't contact the SQL Server that hosts the FIMSynchronizationService database.
Does this happen every time the sixth MA is run? What if you run them in a different order (might help us distinguish between a resource issue and something specific to that MA)?

    Hi Guys!
    Thanks for your advises. I still working toward a resolution.
    But I encountered another issue from Enterp Manager :
    ERROR : Please correct the following error: Connection string must be specified.
    My connection has this format:
    //using connection string attributes to connect to Oracle Database
      con.ConnectionString = "User Id=scott;Password=tiger;Data Source=oracle";
      con.Open();
      Console.WriteLine("Connected to Oracle" + con.ServerVersion);
    Please tell me what is wrong here. Thanks. Dan.

  • Error during database connection (JDBC)

    Hello!
    When I try testing my connection to MSSQL (using sender JDBC channel) in communication channel monitoring (RWB)i can read that Error explanation:
    Error during database connection to the database URL 'jdbc:microsoftsqlserver://<DB_IP_ADRESS>:1433;databaseName=XXXX' using the JDBC driver 'com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver': 'com.sap.aii.adapter.jdbc.sql.DriverManagerException: Unable to locate a suitable JDBC driver to establish a connection to URL 'jdbc:microsoftsqlserver://<DB_IP_ADRESS>:1433;databaseName=XXXX''
    Before I did the communication channel configuration I did the driver instalation and deploy like in document "HowTo_ConfigExtAdapters". In Adapter Monitor (RWB) i can see the JDBC adapter instaled and started (gray square).
    Any idea what is wrong?

    hi,
    try this:
    jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://
    and not
    jdbc:microsoftsqlserver

  • Win7 and now Server Error [2007]: "Database connection information not acce

    I support a 8.3.x server with Insight plugin in use. This has worked for some time now with WinXP. The issue comes into play when the company is upgrading users to Win7 stations. First, the zero-admin (download and install setup launch) is failing. The Install window opens but doesn't seem to be able to complete. Then, when we do get the plugin installed via the manual download and install, we then reach a point where the bqy will not connect with the Server Error [2007]: "Database connection information not accessible. Processing is disabled." If we proceed from there, we'll get Server Error [6] PUB_NullArgument errors and empty "Show Values" limit boxes. So it's like the .oce information is not received on the Win7 platform - it still works fine on WinXP installations.
    And, I know it can work, as the PC Support personnel were able to get this working on one PC.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Keith

    I assume that there has been no reply to this thread. The problem still persists, with intermittent success. I hope that someone can shed some light onto the Server Error [2007]: "Database connection information not accessible. Processing is disables." message.
    Thanks again,
    Keith

  • Database Connection Lost Error

    Hi,
    MyScenario is :
    We send a query to database A collect resultset in java mapping and transform it to three more Select queries and send them to Database B So two chanels are there:
    Sender JDBC channel, Receiver JDBC Channel.
    Now the Output of Database B is converted to IDOC and sent to R/3 System.
    This is working fine, but sometime it stuck at Database B saying error "connection Lost". And works fine afterwards.But in that case we miss the records which could not be processed.
    What can be the reason for this ? Please suggest the solution at teh earliest. Can overloading be the reason for losing connection. Please suggest...
    Thanks & Regards,
    Priyanka

    Hi Priyanka,
    You have to close the connection afte accessing the JDBC  "A".
    So that it could be accesed by others.
    Try to implement the suggetion given by sarvesh.
    If it still does not work then i would say you go for JDBC look ups.
    It will improve the performance as well.
    Thanks

  • EJB Timer stops when database connection lost

    G'day.
    We use EJB Timers quite successfully in stateless session beans under Sun Java System Application Server 8.1 on Windows Server 2003.
    We start and stop the timers for specific session beans using public intefaces on their respective beans. This works fine.
    The problem we have is when the JDBC connection used by the EJBTimer service is dropped, such as when the remote database / machine falls over or (probably) when the network is lost. All the timers stop working at this point.
    The timers do not restart when the database connection is restored either, despite the entries still being in the ejb__timers__tbl table.
    If we stop and start the application server instance then they do restart.
    We've looked at the setup of the timers but this seems to be pretty straightforward with no options that seem to influence this.
    We've tried altering the JDBC connection validation settings but this doesn't seem to have made any difference.
    Anyone have any ideas?
    Robski!

    There are no special options to handle this case in the current timer service implementation. Please file an issue describing the scenario here :

  • Getting Error ORA-03135: connection lost contact

    Hi all.
    I've followed the various steps to setting up the HS connection (Oracle APEX to MS SQL SERVER 2005)

    TNSPing works fine when hitting the entry, the data source is up and correctly configured. I've been using a lan-based sql server at the office, and a pc-based "virtual sql server" from home. Both producing the same error.
    Anyone else run into this?
    Thanks!

  • Error on DataBase connection

    Hi,
    I try to connect my application (developt in C#) to an Oracle DataBase (in version 9.2.0.7.0).
    In order to do that I use the following connection string :
    "Data Source = (DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST= myadress())"+
                        "(PORT=1528))(CONNECT_DATA=(SERVICE_NAME=servicename())));User Id=myaccount();Password=mypassword();";
    And then :
    using (var conn = new OracleConnection(GetConnectionString()))
         string Query = "SELECT * FROM DATA";
         var cmd = new OracleCommand(Query, conn);
         conn.Open();
    I try to use the client 12.1 by using the Oracle.ManagedDataAccess.dll but I receive  the following error :
    "ORA-03111: Interruption reçue sur le canal de communication"
    Nevertheless, I find in this communities: "The Oracle 12c client can only connect to Oracle DB 10.2 or later. 9.2 requires using Oracle 11.2 client or earlier." Link
    That's why I try with client 11.2 by using Oracle.DataAccess.dll. But I receive another error :
    "ORA-03134: Connections to this server version are no longer supported."
    The DBA seems does not know why it doesn't work. So, can someone help me ?
    Thanks a lot

    If 12c doesn't show up when you click on "Deinstall Products" on the Oracle Universal Installer, then you have the 12c Home uninstalled.
    Try this. Go to your Oracle Home for ODAC 11.2. The directory will be something like the following: C:\app\<user>\product\11.2.0\client_1.
    Run the sqlplus.exe from this directory and try to connect to the 9.2.0.7 DB.
    If it gives you the same error, then my suspicion is that DB 9.2.0.7 is too old of a release. You can either move the DB server to a higher version or try an even older ODP.NET 11.2 version or an 11.1 version.
    I believe 9.2.0.8 was the last patchset available for the 9.2 line.

  • FIM 2010 Sync not running with status "Stopped-extension-dll-exception"

    we are getting the following error for all our extensions when trying to run the Sync Operations. All extensions have similar errors with event ID 6159 generated in the application event log. They all started occurring after I deleted a attribute flow
    rule in one of the agents. This is happening in Production and are facing lot of other issues because of this.
    The management agent "Peoplesoft" failed on run profile "Full Import Full Synch" because of a problem with the initialize method on the extension object. The extension dll is "PeoplesoftExtension.dll" and the stack trace is:
    Microsoft.MetadirectoryServices.UnexpectedDataException: String or binary data would be truncated.
    The statement has been terminated.

       at Mms_ManagementAgent_PeoplesoftExtension.ExtFunctions.InitializeCommon()
       at Mms_ManagementAgent_PeoplesoftExtension.MAExtensionObject.Initialize()
    Please advise on how to fix this as I have no clue where to start and am new to FIM.
    Only Full Import(Staging ONLY) is successful.

    The error message you are getting is talking about data getting truncated. Any change that you had a data change alongside your other changes and now the length of data in one or more of your attributes is longer than it was?
    I suspect that since you are new to FIM, something else has changed that you don't realize (beyond just the deletion of the one sync rule), but...
    If truly the only thing that changed was a deletion of a flow rule, is there any chance that either of the following could have happened:
    With the deletion of a flow rule the corresponding data is no longer going through the sync engine. Could there be some logic that due to precedence, is now using a different value, and this different value is too long for some other piece of logic.
    With the deletion of a flow rule the corresponding data is no longer going through the sync engine. With this value missing, some extension logic is making a different choice and generating invalid data. Without the deleted data flow, there may be a null
    value that extension logic is not properly dealing with.
    As was suggested, the best thing to do may be to restore from backup and get the system back to a known state.
    If you have development skills and if you have the source code to your custom rules extensions, it is fairly easy to debug and single step through the code. This of course must be done with extreme caution if you are in a production environment. You will
    also need familiarity with how the FIM Synchronization engine works. Documentation is here:
