Suggest you discuss your situation in one of the AMD forums found @
http://forums.amd.com/   Most likely the limitation is the video driver and supporting utility software, but it might be the video card.  The AMD forums would be much more qualified to address this situation.

  • How to make dock appear in all monitors, and keep new windows to same monit

    I've got an unusual setup: two screens at my desk, and another one in front of a recliner nearby so that it is not physically adjacent to the other two. This means that when the cursor moves off the side of two of the monitors and goes to the third one, I can't see it. I don't want to mirror all the displays because half the time I use the two adjacent ones from the desk, and sometimes I just want to use the one separate one. Can someone tell me if it's possible to
    1) make the same dock appear in all monitors? I want access to the dock no matter which monitor I'm looking at. Is there a utility or hack that will give me a dock in each screen?
    2) any way to have apps open and create new windows in whatever monitor I'm currently working? it's very annoying that sometimes I run a app and it throws up a window in the monitor I'm not looking at. Any way to keep it to the set of two or to the 3rd one, depending on which I'm using at the time?
    thank you!

    Hi Mike, Might have a look at the bottom of this page for Dock-It 2.6.1 for Mac OS X 10.5.x and earlier...

    As far as the other problems, I'd try Mirroring #1 & #3.

  • Report with all monitors & their threshold for a server for SCOM 2007 R2

    Hi,
    I need a report with all monitored monitors & rules with their effective threshold for SCOM 2007 R2. I tried few scripts & tools mentioned on different blogs, but not getting anything.
    Any help in this regard would be highly appreciated.
    TIA

    This would be a custom report, which is not available to my knowledge. You need to consider overrides, and this is the crux of the situation. What you can do is open the pack in MPViewer, and export the pack which will contain the thresholds. And you could
    also create an override view, in My Workspace, based on the pack you are interested in.
    Otherwise, it will be a custom TSQL query or stored procedure, that you may incorporate into your custom report.

    Now I can start my Mac Pro only in "secure mode."
    I'm still appears on all monitors a series of bands such as seen in the attached file.
    Someone can give me a diagnosis?
    Thank you.

    The attached file is not showing.
    In Safe/Secure Mode many Drivers are not loaded. When your computer works in Safe Mode, but not regular mode, two types of problems are implicated:
    1) Third-party kernel extensions. a conflict with some part of Mac OS X means that when those extensions load, your Mac can not run.
    2) Failed graphics card. Since the Driver for the display is not loaded, the display in Safe Mode uses a very simple built-in Driver. In regular mode, once the driver is loaded, all parts of the graphics card must be working, or you could get bands of color on the display (which is just what you reported).
    Which Model Mac Pro Tower or MacBook Pro is this?

  • Screen Resolution for ALL monitors

    IN FLASH MX, I set my screen resolution to 760px (width) x
    560px (height). My monitor screen resolution is 1152x864. It looks
    fine at that monitor screen resolution. HOWEVER, the website looks
    h-u-g-e on monitor screen resolution 1024x768. It looks elongated
    on monitor screen resolution 1280x768.
    So I am wondering what is the best screen resolution to set
    when in Flash? that will look good on all monitor screen
    resolutions?
    [email protected]

    I have four files that show my settings plus another file
    that shows the code that comes automatically. Not sure how to
    attach the files with this reply.
    My monitor setting is 1152x864. My movie setting is 760x560.
    I am not sure what you mean by embedding in HTML. I thought
    that came automatically.
    My movie might be 760x560 but on a monitor screen 1024x768,
    my site is huge because the screen is smaller. And on a monitor
    screen 1280x768, my site becomes elongated.
    I am working solely in Flash, no Dreamweaver. I thought the
    target to HTML is automatic.
    I need to solve the situation of being huge on 1024x768 and
    the situation of becoming elongated on 1280x768.

  • :Multi Monitor: php function hint stretches across all monitors!!

    Dreamweaver CS4
    Windows 7 x64
    Whenever I'm writing php script with dreamweaver and start to type a php function (in this example strstr) the code hints for arguments pops up after typing the first parentheses to show what arguments are accepted (in this example haystack and needle). This is all well and good, sometimes it's helpful if I have forgotten and need a reminder but the problem is I have 4 monitors and the hint pops up on the left monitor when I am actually coding on the right monitor... It's an annoying flaw that I can't seem to find a fix to.
    So to recap: I have 4 monitors from left to right.
    I use dreamweaver on the RIGHT two monitors.
    The function argument hinting while coding PHP appears on the furthest LEFT monitor (1st monitor)
    It also leaves a bar across all monitors.
    If there is a way to fix this bug please let me know

  • Can I have the dock show up on all monitors at the same time

    As the topic beckons ... is it possible to have the dock show up on all connected monitors at the same time ?
    Currently I have a setup with 2 external monitors apart from the main iMac monitor. Both external monitors are connected via thunderbolt and I'm running MacOS 10.9.4.
    I know I can get the dock to appear on any of the external monitors by hovering with the mouse on the secondary/tertiary monitors where the dock "should" be, after a few seconds the dock appears. However I'm looking to have the dock present at all times on all monitors, with each monitor running separate spaces, nothing mirrored or duplicated.
    Thanks in advance.

    If you want this split screen thingy for a single app, do like captfred suggests or see if the app itself supports some sort of splitting, like MS Excel.
    If you want to do this system-wide, maybe you can get what you want by activating and using Spaces: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH4313

  • Finally - all my problems are fixed!!

    To everyone who has experienced the frustration of upgrading iTunes only to find that the application no longer works at all - been there, done that - you have my sympathy!
    I have spent MANY hours trying to fix this issue - and have followed the advice of several in this support group (particular thanks to Toonz, b noir and James Bond)- I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes and QuickTime more times than I can remember. Sometimes I had a glimmer of hope as iTunes would open (though it wouldn't recognise my iPod or shuffle) but it was always short lived, failing to open a second time when I tried it.
    Anyway, the good news is I've finally solved the problem - the bad news is it is at the expense of literally uninstalling all of my Norton products!!! As it happened, my licence expires this month so rather than renew it I decided to delete the whole lot of my PC and see what effect it had. The result - iTunes works, my iPod and shuffle work - for the first time in months!!!! I haven't dared to download any new security software yet - I'll enjoy some new tunes first!!
    Nicky

    Nikky,
    Try PC-cillin as a security package. It used to be the preferred security package of WindowsSecrets.com (they now find ZoneAlarm to be a bit better). Either may be a good choice to replace Norton.
    I used to have McAfee and found it had almost as much interaction issues as Norton does. I switched to PC-cillin and have not had any issues.

  • How do I make sure my page width is optimized for all monitors?

    I have a portfolio-ish website, and I've noticed that on small screens there is  white space if you scroll to the right. On big screens (Such as my 27" iMac), the design doesn't fit the whole screen.
    http://treyflorkiewicz.com/
    How can I fix this?
    Thanks!

    I believe you have used rectangle frames with image fill on page as background. You may want to use full width rectangles with images as page background which would fit on all screen.
    Thanks,

  • Do all monitors work from MacBook?

    Hello there,
    Im looking to purchase a 27" monitor for my macbook.
    Im looking at the benq 27", have asked them the same question. Will it work? I'll be using a mini-DVI connector.
    Whats best, DVI or HDMI ? im aware you can get converters. The monitor is capable of both.
    Thanks for you help!

    Hey Parker and welcome to the forum -
    According to your signature, you have a unibody MacBook and they use a Mini DisplayPort connector and not a mini-DVI which was used in the older models. HDMI is better quality than DVI. It should work but I would check with benq support if it's not part of their literature.

  • How does jconsole know of all monitored JVMs in system?

    When you run jconsole, the tab named "local" lists JVMs running and their PIDs. By what mechanism is it able to 'know' which JVMs are running that have been started with the arguments that enable JMX management?
    Does jconsole connect to JVMs or to MBeanServers? (Assume each JVM has multiple MBeanServers, and each MBeanServer has multiple domains.)
    Also, what's the difference between using the 'remote' and 'advanced' tabs to connect to a JVM? They both have usernames and passwords, but while the 'remote' tab has a host and port, the 'advanced' tab has a URL that contains a host and port within it. So what's the difference - when would you pick one method of connection over another?
    Thanks.

    If jconsole connects to MBeanServers rather than
    JVMs, then how can it tell the difference between
    multiple MBeanServers that have been started by a
    single JVM?JConsole connects to a given JMX connector server which is associated with a given MBeanServer at creation time.
    For example, if I have a simple application (i.e. one
    JVM) that starts up two MBeanServers in its main
    method, using
    MBeanServerFactory.createMBeanServer(name). To start
    the application, you run the JVM with the
    com.sun.management.jmxremote and
    com.sun.management.jmxremote.port variables.
    How will jconsole know to differentiate between the
    two MBeanServers? After all, there's only one JVM -
    and it's been started with only one port number.In your example JConsole will not see any of your MBeanServers. It'll see the platform MBeanServer which is the one used by the out-of-the-box management agent.
    The next question I have is regarding the JVM - does
    any JVM that's started locally show up in the "local"
    tab of JConsole (because the JVM is always
    instrumented by default - true?), or does it only
    appear if you run it with the
    com.sun.management.jmxremote variable?The new Attach API in JDK 6 allows JConsole 6 to show all the JVMs running on the local machine although you will only be able to connect to the ones running on JDK 6 (and JDK 5.0 if started with the com.sun.management.jmxremote or com.sun.management.jmxremote.port system properties).
    JConsole 5 only shows the JVMs running on JDK 5.0 and started with the com.sun.management.jmxremote or com.sun.management.jmxremote.port system properties.
    Have a look at the link below for more detailed info:

  • Wait() releases ALL of the waiting thread's monitors?

    When wait() is called from a synchronized bock, it is my understanding that the current thread releases the monitor it was holding (which was the monitor of the object that was being synchronized on.)
    What is confusing me is my testing of this code:
       public synchronized Object lock() {
          synchronized(lockObj) {
             if (bLocked) {
                try { lockObj.wait();}
                catch (Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); }
           bLocked = true;
           return someObject;
       }When this method is called by Thead A and he has to wait, I can see where Thread A will release his lock of lockObj. However, the whole method is synchronized, (meaning, against this), and lock() is waiting and hasn't finished executing yet. I suspected Thread B wouldn't be able to call lock(), because Thread A should still have a monitor for this. But Thread B can- which must mean that when Thread A goes into wait(), he gives up all his monitors across the board, not just the one in immediate involvement (the one for lockObj, in this case)?
    P.S., forget what this code is supposed to accomplish- i wrote it trying to understand the monitor states.
    Thanks!

    I notice that the lock() method is not a static method. So everything depends on how you are testing this code sample. You haven't included that in your posting.
    What I suspect is:
    You are having your threads access two DIFFERENT instances of the object who owns the method lock(). This means that your threads are NOT competing for executing the lock() method on the SAME object.
    lockObj.wait() releases the lock on the lockObj ONLY. wait() does not release locks on all monitors owned by the thread executing the wait().
    What you are trying to prove can be understood easily by using static synchronized methods.
    If your lock() method is static synchronized, you will find that a Thread B can't enter the lock() method at all. Why? Because Thread A has only released the lock on the lockObj. It STILL holds the lock on the class level monitor. When did Thread A obtain this? When it entered the lock() method. Unless Thread A releases the class level monitor, by doing
    xyz.class.wait();
    in the lock() method, any other Thread B will simply wait to enter the lock() method.
    To carry the discussion further, when another thread, say Thread C, does a xyz.class.notify(), Thread B is woken up first and enters the lock() method. Thread A will return from the xyz.class.wait() only after Thread B quits the lock() method.
