Finally an AWESOME alternative to Zenbe Lists
I just wanted to share that I have finally found an awesome alternative to Zenbe Lists. My wife and I used Zenbe Lists to sync our grocery list, among other things, such as to-do's and shopping lists, but the developer quit maintaining Zenbe and left his userbase hanging. So, we have been searching for a long, long time and we have finally found an app that is not only as good as Zenbe Lists, but BETTER!
gTasks HD by Yaniv Katan
My wife and I are using gTasks HD to share and sync our grocery shopping list. And it is exceptional! It's considerably more powerful than Zenbe was and it uses both/either Google Tasks and/or Yahoo Tasks to sync to ... this means we won't need to worry about server reliability or availability ... Google and Yahoo are solid! The interface is slick and powerful and I cannot recommend it enough. The free version is fully functional, but crippled in that it only allows 5 entries to be added to a list. Unfortunately, $4.99 is the cost to unlock it fully, but I can assure you, this is the best $10 we've spent ($5 each). This list app will easily become our most used app aside from the phone, e-mail, calendar, contacts and weather apps ... and we have a lot of apps!
Note: I'm not affiliated with gTasks HD or Yaniv Katan in any way. It's just a great app and I'm going to help get the word out because it is that good!

Zenbe Lists - anyone here using it?
If anyone here is a Zenbe Lists user I have a few basic questions on which I'd appreciate some advice please. I was unable to raise these via their ticketed support form, which appears to be broken.
1. found my lists OK on my PC using my Firefox web browser. But not on my smartphone (Touch Pro 2 running Windows Mobile 6.1) using either the built-in Opera browser or the alternative MSIE 6. Is that not possible? I thought the attraction of the app was access via the web to any device?
2. Is there no Sort or Priority facility on the web browser, matching those functions on the iPad?
3. On neither iPad nor PC can I find a way to edit the name of a list, which seems a pretty basic flaw.

Message was edited by: Terry PI'm using Creator 2.1.7, it's the last update before Sonic went with scenarist as their flagship. Beleive it or not, it's still running on OS9. It's a decent system, it has serve me well but it's definitely time to upgrade.
I will meet with the company on Monday and i'll know more about the project, but just from reading the script they sent me, it seems very deep...lots of programming.
I'm new to DVDSP..actually, i just got it this weekend. I was thinking of using it to author smaller projects and get another system for the high end and HD project. It's not an easy decision as what to get since the upgrade from Creator to Sonic HD and Scenarist is over 100K !!! ouch !
Anyways, if anyone here has experience using DVDSP for authoring highly interactive games and-or using it for major titles, i love to hear some feedback. Thanks. -

There is a drop down list from the Awesome Bar containing some of my most frequently visited sites. How can I add URL's to this list?
The location bar drop-down list shows items based on visited count (bonus points and frecency: frequency and recency) and if you have visited other URLs more often then those will replace other websites.

You can't customize this drop-down list and you would have to bookmark websites to have easier access. -
Final Cut Server alternatives?
Hi,
Could anyone suggest alternatives to Final Cut Server for media asset management? FCS is very much overkill—I'm a single person editing a film on my Macbook Pro and external hard drive. I have lots of media (600 or so still images, a bunch of movie files, audio for narration, music, etc...) and I'd like a way to keep all that stuff centralized, organized, and tagged with descriptive text.

Thanks in advance for any advice...Ever think of using iTunes and iPhoto? You already have them and they do what you want. Not customizable or easy to automate as much as FCSvr, but they are free and probably already on your Mac. Plus the facial recognition in iPhoto 09 is great if you deal with a lot of head shots.

Does anyone know where I can find a complete list of the included video effects for Final Cut Express 4.0?
Also, can additional effects be purchased?
I need to create a "cartoon like" video effect. Any suggestions?Thank you to both who answered.
I do not have the software yet. I wanted to make sure there were plenty of good quality effects before I purchased it. I've worked with a few programs in the past (mostly freebies) that had tons and tons of really crappy effects!

Nope. It no longer syncs across different devices, at least as far as I can make it. The purpose of the app is to sync lists across multiple devices, and that feature just doesn't work. I have tried e-mailing them, and haven't had a reply (three months ago was my first attempt). According to some of the reviews on the app store, a LOT of people are having the same issues, and there hasn't been a fix since December 2010.

Component alternatives for item listing

wich kind of components are more communly used to incorporate a list of items?
Example: The application will have a list of items (in an array for example) that changes from time to time. That list will appear in a zone of the interface. Clicking the items will perform some action (as in - URL list that when clicked opens the browser in the given site). The color of each "line" should allow customization by the programmer.
What components are suited to this?

If I remember correctly br inside brackets will give a carriage return in a listing. p in the brackets gives you a new paragraph. I now use AppleWorks for all my listings and then save them as html which is one of the choices in the save menu.

I finally figured how to enter patch list
I entered successfully (i hope and guess) my Motif ES Rack and Roland XV 5050, i 've created multi instrument and change bank change messages MSB, LSB, all the patches copied, pasted and it worked. But still have problem:
I will create 4 midi channels and i will choose different banks and patches. Then i will click on track 1, it won't play the one i selected for. It will play the last one. (track 4) No matter which track i select, it will play the last one i set.
In the environment window it works, i can actually change patch and banks, after i do this for second midi track also ok. But in arrange window i click the tracks it won't change.
I don't know how you guys deal with this. That was already difficult setting bank messages which i had no idea before.

I edit now:
I changed that.. the wizard ran fine, but i got an error in the middle of the instalation... now i can´t install or uninstall, because the program tells me if i want to completely remove it when í´ve already done that (in theory). so i go to the settings in windows to uninstall the program... and the computer reboots automatically every time, and then the same, i cant really uninstall or try to uninstall again.
The card is expensive, its hard to find and hard to buy in a place like mexico city, i cant get support over here because they just dont know what the hell happens.
i want support, and i want good support, and i want now... i payed for the product, and i want it to work as MSI tells me it will work.

Does anyone have experience with using a Canon Vixia HF M52 Camcorder with Final Cut Express?
I'm looking to purchase a new camcorder that is compatible with my Mac OS X (10.6.8) that will work well with Final Cut Express 4.0.1 I have downloaded the camcorder support info from Final Cut Express that list many capital camcorders. I've used Sony tape based camcorders in the past. I'm looking for High Definition. I can stick with a tape based camcorder, but thought I would look at the Canon Vixia HF M52 as an alternative, which is listed as compatible. I would like to download directly from the camera to FCE. I film in the wilderness, like having an optical zoom of 20 or greater (yes, I use a small tripod). Does anyone have experience with the Canon Vixia? And if not, but you really like another camcorder that you can recommend, what is it?
The Vixia HF M52 is an AVCHD camcorder and should work perfectly fine with Final Cut Express 4 (4.0.1).
The published "camcorder support list" has never been up to date and I would not take it to be a definitive list of compatible camcorders.
One note, however, the Vixia HF M52 supports a number of different shooting modes. I suggest sticking with the AVCHD 1920 x 1080i / 60 fps mode for use with FCE. FCE does not support progressive modes except in 720p25/30 (which the M52 does not seem to shoot anyway); nor does FCE support any 24 fps modes. -
Is there a way to add an existing distribution list to a document?
i created a distribution list with CVI1 and i am trying to add it to a document, NOT via the distribution list but from the document itself.
via the "environment" menu, I can create a new list or change a list in which the document is already written in: but i cannot add an existing list from the document.
any idea?i am aware of that: that i why i asked this question. i need to upload distribution lists to be added to documents and i did not find a way to add the documents to the list (cvi2) in a recording: the amount of document i can add is limited to the amount of lines i see on the screen;
my final goal is to add existing lists to documents or documents to lists, via upload (excel sheet or txt file) LSMW or other methods!

1.Please check the OPPR -Plant and MRP group -Select Order Type Button -Check what Order Type you have assinged here ( PI01( May be the default Process Order Type )
2.If you are maintaing MRP group ( 0001 or 0002) , did you asisng the same in MRP1 view ?? because
3.Did you maintain the similar Order type in OPKP -Define Production Scheduling Profile ? -This has highest priority .
4.Did you maintain correct order type in OPJH-Maintain Order Type ??

Problem No 2: 2nd Problem is system system is not creating plan order for prrevios dates. say i enter PIR for month of november from first november to 30th november and run MRP on 29th the sytem create plan order on 30th of november with exception message 30.
Answer : You can plan the order in back dated , if you maitain Satrt date in the Past optiuon in OPU3/OPU5-Define Scheduling parameters .Goto OPU3 -Select the Order Type -Double click -Maintain 90-60 days in the Start Date in the past in Scheduling Control and Details scheduling tab .

Mail-how to send to a list without entering ea as individual contact?
I sent email reminders monthly to a group of about 20 email addresses. I don't even know most of the people & there are changes each month with additions & deletions. In Eudora on my old Dell I just had a contact with the whole list in it. Then when i got the MacBookPro I was syncing to a windows mobile phone for biz so I synced to Outlook. Outlook woudln't let me have a group contact but I finally figured i could but the list in the bcc field. Then each month I just opened the previous month's email & said to send again & edited it.
I finally got my emails imported from both Eudora & Outlook to mail. But I find that I can't even see the contents of the bcc field from the mo before--its blank.
OK, I thought I could copy the list & then paste it in each time. I have the list with the name of the person followed by their email address. I had originally entered it by putting brackets around the email addresses. But in the list the email addresses are showing as a link. OK. But I tried copying it into both Note & also tried Pages & then tried copying from there into Mail.
In both Note & Pages the email addresses show as a link, but when I paste the list into the bcc field of a Mail email it just shows them with a space between the name & the email address with the email address not being set apart.
This is getting more & more complicated--what was easy in the Free Sponsored Eudora, & not too bad in Outlook. But right now after trying what worked before, it doesn't look like any of the solutions are going to work.
If I could copy them in from a list & paste them in, I could live with that, but it doesn't look like that is going to work at all since in the other programs they are links which seem to be lost when pasted into Mail.
I also tried pasting the list into the body of an email & from there to the bcc field but again, it seemed lose its formatting so that it recognized the email addresses.
Any suggestions on how to have a group list that I can send without them all displaying to everyone & use mo after mo?
OK, I just tried retyping a couple of the names with brackets around the email address in Pages & copying it into the bcc field & it looked like it worked. I guess that might work. But is there are way to convert the links in pages to I guess it would be html with the brackets around?
Or any other suggestions?
Mail 4,5The issue is that, as I said in my original post, I'm trying to figure out how to do it without setting up each of the people in addressbook. A couple of them I know & they are in Addressbook. Most of them I don't know & don't really want to have to set each 1 up individually. I read something about that I could enter all the contacts in a field & the little blue bubble around the contact nickname would appear, but so far it isn't working with pasting the list in. For practically all of the contacts, I have the name then the email address for example: John Smith [email protected] On the list, the emails show as links in Pages or in Note, but when I paste them into the to or bcc field, the link appears to disappear.
So I need some way to set up a group of email addresses as a contact without setting them up individually in Addressbook.
I'm frustrated since this was so simple to do in Eudora (which I don't have on my Mac--was using it in Windows before coming back to mac.) Again, I don't want to set them all up as individual contacts to clutter up my addressbook since I don't even know many of them.
btw, tried to respond sooner but in the middle of it they were updating this part of the site so I couldn't. Then had the S California power failure here yesterday so not internet. -
Alternative item quantity greyed out on Production order creation
I'm creating a production order. One of the materials in the BOM uses an alternative, the discontinuation indicator = 1 on material MRP4 view.
The production order is using the alternative which is ideal, but the quantity for the alternative is greyed out so the quantity cannot be changed? Ordinarily the quantity for a component in a production order can be changed. Can the quantity field be configured so it changeable for alternatives? Where is the discontinuation indicator configured please?
Thanks in advance.In the production order both the original and the alternative material are listed. The original item has a blank qty in the field and the alternative has the required qty (greyed out though), say qty 10.
If I want to issue say just 8 of the alternative and 0 of the original , why would I enter a qty for the original material? The shop floor found 2 hanging around so I want to change the alternative qty to 8 if possible, and thats all I wish to issue against this production order.
