Find remaining serial numbers left in Alphanumeric range

Can anyone help me with this.
Say there are two alphanumeric sequences 1234A1B  And 1234B1B . The no. of series between them are to be found.
Say between 1234A1B and 1234B1B there are 26 numbers like 1234A1C,1234A1D,…1234A1Z,123B1B..In this case the output would be 26.The number of series in between are to be calculated.
The length of both the sequences is less than 18 and contain alphabets and numbers in them in random fashion e.g 1234A3D -1234C7E(The number series existing  between these two numbers should be counted).
Thanks in Advance
Rijish

Rijish,
First, a question.  In your example, the "from" and the "to" are both 7 characters, and you are considering only 7-character values between them.  But is not 1234A1BA (8 characters) alphabetically between 1234A1B and 1234A1B?  Or are you regarding the alphanumerics somehow as numbers?
Second, another question.  Have you mistyped your example?  You seem to imply that 123B1B comes after 1234A1Z.  Do you mean that 1234B1B comes right after 1234A1Z?  That would be confusing too.
Third, another question.  The characters allowed are A-Z and 0-9 only (36 in all)?  And their order (lowest first) is 0123..89ABC...XYZ?
Fourth, a warning.  The number of such serial numbers possible is rather large.  It is, I think, a 27-figure number.  So you need to consider the data type for holding  the answer to your calculation.
I may be able to help more if you can clarify your meaning.
John

    Hi BradSLane,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  This article has one method to find your serial number:
Reporting a lost or stolen Apple product
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2526
If you have lost or found an Apple product, please contact your local law enforcement agency to report it. Although Apple does not have a process to track or flag lost or stolen product, you can use My Support Profile to find a list of serial numbers that have been purchased or registered with your Apple ID.
    Go to My Support Profile*.
Sign in with your Apple ID.
View your purchases in "My Products".

  • I cannot find my serial numbers for installation anywhere on my CS5 box set?

I received my CS5 box set about 3 years ago and installed it all fine to my MacBook Pro then. I recently wiped and reformatted my Mac as it was becoming slow. All the software was backed up on my hard drive, however after reading forums it sounds like Adobe aren't all inclusive style apps, so need reinstalling with a disk. I have my full box set but when it came to install I cannot find my serial numbers ANYWHERE. When I went onto customer care it shows that they should be on the back of the DVD sleeves. I really need to install these programs back and I'm getting quite frustrated, help?!

    To locate the serial number:

You might be able to find your serial number thru your Adobe account online if you registered the products when you originally installed them.
Beyond all that your last hope will be in contacting Adobe support thru chat to see if they can assist:

Where can I find the serial numbers of the defective Seagate 1T hard drives that were in iMacs?
    I tried Seagate site.
Not the iMac serial #, I know about the recall program. We are looking at a refurbished (not Apple) iMac & it has a Seagate 1T HD,  naturally, we want to know if it is one of the bad ones.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Finding old serial numbers

i just migrated to a new mac and my FCP studio 6 software wants me to enter in a serial number, but it wants the original number not any of my previous upgrade serial numbers. I register all my software. I was wondering if there was a place to go on apple's site to log in and find your old software registrations?

I upgraded to FInal Cut Pro Studio from Final Cut Pro, so version 1 on FCPStudio is a upgrade.
Was that the offer Apple ran where you could get FCS1 (Universal install version 5.1) for $199 (or was it $299) with a qualifying earlier title? I used a stand alone copy of DVD Studio Pro to do that. When I upgraded to FCS3, I didn't need the DVD SP number to activate FCS3, just the FCS1 number, which actually is considered a full product number.
I guess I will try to call Apple. is it the applecare number or is there a general support number?
AppleCare is for whatever hardware you purchased it for (Mac Pro, iMac, etc.). Though it can also be purchased for certain software titles. If you did purchase AppleCare for Final Cut Studio, then yes, call that number first.
Here's the Customer Service contact page:
    http://www.apple.com/contact/
Under the Customer Service heading in the left column, I'm guessing you'd want to call the Apple Software Upgrade Center number. If that's not it, whoever you speak to should be able to direct you to the correct person.

I received two invoices, I used the softwares in trial version, but now each software asks me the serial that I had not. I try to contact Adobe via chat, but it doesn’t work. by phone it’s only in English, I’m from italy and it’s not easy for me to talk and understand by phone call...
    Thanks in advance, best regards

  • How do I find the serial numbers for the software on my computer... iWeb for example.

I have had my MBP for a couple of years.  I decided to try iWeb but it wants me to register the SW.  I have no clue what the marketing part number is or the serial number.  Does anyone know where I can find this info?  If I am not mistaken the SW came preinstalled on my computer.
    Thanks

Most programs will not store the serial numbers in a way that you can locate them. When you purchased iWeb you should have been given a serial number to use in the box, or via e-mail. iWeb does not come preinstalled on systems anymore and has been discontinued. At one point Apple did release a commercial version of the software that required a serial number, so this may be what you have.

  • Finding CS4 Serial Numbers

I have multiple copies of CS4 that I bought for my office several years ago. How can I tell which serial number is on which machine? I bought a new machine and need to install one of the copies on it, but I can't tell which ones are already being used.

You can't. you have to deactivate all of them, draw up a list and then re-activate based on that, ticking off one at a time.

If you activated Find My Phone before it was lost or stolen, you can track it only if it is connected to the Internet by Wi-Fi or cellular. What you cannot do is track your device using a serial number or other identifying number. You cannot expect Apple or anyone else to find your device for you. You cannot recover your loss unless you insure your device for such loss. It is not covered by your warranty.

  • How can I find my serial number for re-installing

Okay so I had problems when I originally bought both Dreamweaver and InDesign CS2 with the upgrade numbers so I had to phone Customer Support and get them to give me numbers so I could activate the software. Now I will soon be faced with having to reinstall on both my PC and my laptop. I found out that I will have to uninstall all 4 instances in order to free up the licence. But it would be nice if I could find my serial numbers so that I don't have to go through four phone calls to customer support. Is this information accessible anywhere on my PC (running Windows XP)? Unfortunately I didn't think to write it down at the time.
I do get so so daunted with reinstalling everything, or buying new computers. It's hard enough to do everything else without all of this extra fuss every time from Adobe. Setting up a computer takes me days and days, time which I need to do my REAL work. I feel that legitimate customers shouldn't have to go through all of this trouble. It makes one feel as if Adobe believes one is guilty unless proven innocent.
If I could find my serial numbers it would save a heap of time and trouble, any possibility of help? please? thanks!

If you registered your products you could get the serial numbers online.
If not, you will have to contact Adobe and provide a proof of purchase.
In the future, keep better track of the things you buy and you won't need to go over this procedure again.
