  • Cannot see USB call recording option on SPA525G2 connected to UC560

Cannot see USB call recording option on SPA525G connected to UC560.  Phone is configured to use SCCP (not SIP).  Firmware version downloaded to phone is 7.5.2c.  Software pack 8.6.2 installed on UC560.
Can you please advise if USB Call Recording fuction is possible with this phone and UC560?  If so, how do I configure this?
    Thanking you in advance.

Hi I dont think it is a ethernet/wireless issue - wireless on XP laptop works in other networks and in fact can connect to TC router - I am just not seeing the TC when I use Airport on the Windows XP machine.
Taking a different approach - I have been able to set up a local pinter on the XP laptop using an IP port that points to the USB printer connected to the TC and this works.
I am still intrigued as to why Airport on XP cannot see the TC however the workaround is fine
Thanks for the ideas LaPastenague - much appreciated

  • Cannot recognize usb device

When i plug my Iphone 3G in to my XP Windows computer I get the error message "Cannot Recognize Usb Device" it only happens with this phone as I have a Iphone 4 and my computer recognizes it straight away.
    can anyboby help plz?

Have you tried other USB ports? It has to be USB 2.0, the other thing you might do is reset the router and computer - by turning off computer, unplug computer and unplug router, after about 30 seconds plug them back in and turn the computer on.
I walked 4 customers through this yesterday and it worked each time.

  • HT204074 cannot see manage devices on account menu

New computer, loaded itune, tried to sync ipad, wouold not allow due to already have 5 computers link to my apple account.  try to deactivate computer but cannot see manage device on the accoubnt menu

OH MY GOSH!! I just figured it out. Good thing, because I was not going to be able to function until I did.
The reason I didn't have a "manage devices" option is because I had not authorized any of my devices (Windows PC, iPod Touch, iPhone) to automatically download anything from my iCloud.
Once I went into my settings and did so, I suddenly had "manage devices," and all three of my devices showed up.
Here's the link to show you how to enable automatic downloads on a Mac, PC, or device (iPhone, iPod Touch).

  • Finder cannot see AirPort Time Machine drives

I'm running OS X 10.9.4 on a MacBook Air (2 GB memory, 64 GB SSD storage).
I'm using an AirPort Time Capsule (with Time Machine) as my router and backup.  I have an additional hard drive connected to the USB port on my AirPort Time Capsule.
For over a year the entire configuration has worked well:  Backups are done, and I can access both the AirPort Time Capsule internal hard drive and the external hard drive from my MacBook Air, and from any other device on the network.
For the past few weeks, Finder (on my MacBook Air) sometimes cannot see either drive (internal or external) on the AirPort Time Capsule.  Backups are still okay, and PCs are still able to access and use both drives on the AirPort Time Capsule.  Also, software on my MacBook Air CAN see and use the drives.  For example, if I have a photo on one of those drives that I want to post on Facebook, the "finder" window that appears when I click "Upload Photos/Video" (on Facebook) sees the drives, and can upload the photo from the drives.  The ONLY time I cannot see the drives is when I try to access them with Finder.  (See photos.)
At first, Finder occasionally could not see the drives, or sometimes it took a minute or two to see the drives.  Now, Finder generally cannot see the drives, no matter how long I wait.  My PCs, and ALL SOFTWARE on the MacBook Air CAN ALWAYS see the drives.  Also, Finder can ALWAYS see ALL THE OTHER shared drives on the network (on the PCs, for example), even when it cannot see the drives on the AirPort Time Capsule.
Can anyone tell me what is going on?
    Using Finder:
    Using Facebook:

With the shared folder open, select
              View ▹ Show View Options
from the Finder menu bar. In the dialog that opens, select
              Arrange by: None

  • G5 Cannot see other devices in network, despite being hardwired to the AE

    I just don't get this.
    - My G5 is plugged in via Ethernet to an Airport Extreme.
    - I have and Airport Express configured as a repeater and for AirTunes in the living room.
    - I have an iPhone and a MacBook.
The following conditions are true and as they should be:
    - The G5 receives the internet via the Airport Extreme
    - The Macbook receives the internet via the network
    - The MacBook can see the File Sharing that the G5 puts out
    - The MacBook can see the Airport Extreme and Express with Airport Utility
    - The MacBook can use iTunes to connect to the Express for AirTunes
    - The iPhone receives the internet over Wi-Fi via this network
    - The iPhone can use Remote to control the MacBook's iTunes
The following conditions are true and, given above, make no sense to me at all:
    - The G5 cannot see either the Airport Extreme or the Express with Airport Utility
    - The G5 cannot use iTunes to connect to the Express for AirTunes
    - The G5 cannot see the iPhone/Remote in its list of devices in iTunes
I just flat out don't understand how the G5 can get internet from the Airport Extreme and connect to the MacBook over Wi-Fi via the Airport Extreme, but cannot do anything else that the MacBook can do on this network.
Can someone shed some light on this? I've checked firewall settings and they aren't any different between the G5 and the MacBook.
    Please.... I'm just totally confused.
P.S. I've left off the complexity of the Laserwriter, but, I often configure this by adding a small hub between the Airport Extreme and the G5, adding in the Laserwriter via Ethernet to the Hub. The G5 can print to it, the MacBook can print to it, but none of the above changes if I remove the Hub from the network.

I've done some additional troubleshooting and things seem to be related to the G5...
    - I tried different users on the G5, same results: G5 cannot see AirTunes or the iPhone, and the Airport Utility doesn't show either Airport Express or Extreme
    - I tried putting the MacBook on the Ethernet network, disabling the Airport on it, same results: MacBook can see the Airport Express and Extreme with the Utility, and can see Airtunes and the iPhone
I also tried enabling File Sharing on the MacBook. It takes 7 seconds for the G5 to open a connection the MacBook via AFP file sharing, and it takes two minutes for the MacBook to open a connection to the G5 via AFP file sharing.
I think my next step will be reinstalling the OS on the G5, but I wish I understood why two machines with the same OS on the same network, on the same position on the network, have such a difference in what they can see and what they cannot see.
Does anyone have any insights to share?

  • ITunes incredibly slow to load, cannot see any devices...

    Hello,
iTunes is incredibly slow - takes 2 minutes+ to load. When it does load, it cannot see iPod touch, iPad 3 or iPhone 5. It could yesterday.
    Updated iTunes.
Totally removed all iTunes and associated programs, and reinstalled.
Checked Apple USB drivers, all functioning.
    Deleted preferences file.
    Ran on Windows safe mode.
Ran 3 different malware scans in Safe Mode.
    Unistalled Quicktime.
Ran on basic boot under MSIconfig.
    Please help!
    Windows 7, i5, 6gb ram.

Yes, that's a good point. On my MBP, everything works just fine, so it's not an internet connectivity issue. Both machines are running the same anti-virus/firewall software with the same settings. The MBP is wireless via Time Capsule, whereas the iMac is hardwired to TC. The only difference is the entire library is on the iMac and AppleTV pulls from it for both audio & photos.
But these are all "library" issues, which are unaffected. It's only the "store" and the rendering of the pages within it. I tried the parental settings trick to disable iTunes Store & iTunes U - sped right up on display. But as soon as I changed settings so I could actually access content? Slowed right down...
    Any other thoughts??
    Thanks

  • W520 only seeing USB devices after restart

My w520 has been acting rather strange recently.   It's actually been acting up for some time but i've ignored it (kind of like putting the black tape over the check engine light).
Most of the issue seems to revolve around my USB.  At some random point in time after starting up my machine, it will stop seeing new usb devices that I plug in unless I restart. Once I restart it sees everything fine.  I can even plug new devices in. However after a while if I try to plug something new in, it won't show.  Likewise it also won't see SD cards that I plug in to the SD slot.
I'm also having an issue where if I try to shut down or restart, the computer will never shut down windows.  It just sits there saying 'shutting down windows' forever, until I just hold the power button to kill it.
    any ideas?
    thanks for any help

Are you sure it's not devices you have already added to the system before where this is happening? I ask because I have seen similar but it was devices that had already been attached to the system at some point and reattaching them (actually it was an external HD in my case --the external adapter was faulty and would only work sometimes and was not always detected by the OS when reinserted either). Interesting about the reader because I think it too is a USB device (and you mentioned it ;-)). Just an fyi I have also seen similar shutdown behavior on my w520 and that was associated with issues with another USB device, in that case it was the drivers (backing back down to the previous drivers resolved the issue and the laptop would then shutdown properly again. You will have to try to narrow it to the specific device causing the hang. What I would do is just get everything USB at a baseline and then start uninstalling and testing things. You seem to have a couple, related things, going on here but perhaps different root issues. Maybe focus first on the SD cardreader. What are the other devices not detected?
(Sorry for the edits, had to think about the similar issues I had).

  • LabView doesn't see USB device

    Hallo,
I have LabView 8.5 installed and two LogicBoxes (NIMbox NDL8 and NAD4) via USB connected. By typing in the proper USB-ID of NIMbox NDL8 in the
    VISA everything
just worked fine. Then I realized this doesn't work for the other modul, so I tried switched cables and reinstalled the USB driver.
    The current situation:
Windows XP detects the USB devices without any problem - always has. However, suddenly I can't connect in LabView with them by typing
in the USB-ID. The whole time the modules never showed up in MAX, but since they aren't NI instruments I think that was to expect anyway.
I just have no idea why it worked first partly and now it doesn't work at all.
Even though my problem description is kind of vague - I'm new to LabView.
I would really appriciate advice, which things I should check in order to get the USB working again.
    Thanks!

  • New wdtv, 1.02.17, cannot detect usb-device

Have had wdtv for years. Small to no problems. Use only external harddrive, no streaming at all. Bought a new wdtv for daughter the other day. First thing noticed is new GUI (the old one was better). But ok. The other thing is that the wd my book or the wd my passport is not detected. Waited for several minutes, in case the new wdtv was slow. Nothing happened. Tried the old one (same chassis but onother gui), 1.12.14. Both usb-devices detected at once.  Is it something I am missing? I have used wdtv for years, since 1. generation, only for usb-connection. Have had almost no problems (use apple-tv for streaming  Thanks

  • Cannot unmount USB device

I have an Archos AV5100 connected to my Mac via USB, however whenever I try and "eject" it, after a few seconds, it comes back. If I disconnect it, I get a warning telling me I may have corrupted files on my USB device.
The only workaround I have at the moment is to shut down my Mac when I want to disconnect my Archos, but this is not satisfactory.
Is the problem with the Mac or the Archos? If it's the Archos, I'm probably screwed, as (like many companies) they won't support Macs.

After you disconnect it and get the warning, are
there, in fact, any further problems with it? The
warning is dire, but if the data on the Archos
remains stable, this may be something you will just
    have to live with.
Well, there aren't any problems that I know of so far. Archos have been no help whatsoever, simply telling me in their first response to disconnect the Archos as per the instructions (which I already told them I was doing) and their second response was barely understandable,
"This problem comes from the USB controller on Mac OS X. What you need to do is to terminate the USB connexion son the Terminal, or via the "Suspend Application" application.[sic]". Very helpful.
The reason I am concerned is that as soon as I click on the eject icon for the AV500 or drag it to the Trash, the red light on the AV500 (that indicates disk read/write activity) starts flickering away and before it has stopped, the AV500 icon has reappeared on the desktop.

  • For those Windows users who suddenly cannot see their device in iTunes. Here's a solution that has worked.

I know this seems to be an emerging issue ever since the update to iTunes 11.1.4, some iPhones or other iOS devices are not showing up in iTunes or syncing. I'm not sure if Apple really knowns of this issue, but tech support has a (mostly) sure fire way of resolcing this issue. It's only for Windows computers though.
Go to the article http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1538 and follow the Section 5 Verify Apple Mobile Device USB driver is installed. When you clik on that section, go to your version of Windows (it seems to be happening mostly across Windows 8) . And then to the section: If Apple iPod, Aple iPhone, or Apple iPad is listed.
The gist of what you need to do:
Windows 8 (since it seems to be the most affected) move your cursor to the upper ight corner of your screen) and click on the Magnifying glass. Type in devmgmt.msc and this should bring up the Device Manager. Onc eyou are in the device manager, look for the "Portable device" or "Universial Serial bus Controller" list, and you should see the "Apple iPhone/iPad/iPod" listed. Onc eyou see it, right click it, choose "Update software driver." Now, IT WILL SAY THE DRIVER IS UPDATED. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. Select "Browse my computer for driver software." Onc eyou choose that, select "Let me pick from a lsit of drivers on my computer." You should see the option "Have Disk." Choose that. Again, I KNOW you do not have a physical disk, but the file we need is already on your computer. After Hard Disk, choose Browse again. Follow this file path to the file we need: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers.. In the Driver's folder, you should see the "usbaaple" or "usbappl64" (if you have the 64 bit for Windows). Double click on that file, and hit OK. The file should install, and once it's finished check your iTunes!!! You may want to unplug your device and plug it back it before doing all of this. I REALLY hope this works for you all as well!

    Would you believe?
    There might be another cause?
I tried ALL of the suggested solutions here and any other forum I could find. Remove and reinstall ALL Apple software, try re-install driver options, even the solution here, which sounded Perfect!, but failed for me :-(
And My solution to this exact same problem was Soooo simple, I wanted to Scream.
    Try A Different i-Device Cable.
    Yup.
A different cable for my iPhone, iPads, iPod...
All of them instantly worked again!
    I spent HOURS on this before the Bride said;
    "Maybe the cable is bad..."
I might have to burn my IT degree... ;-)
