Finding the restore time of a datafile

RDBMS version: 11.2.0.4
Platform : Oracle Linux 6.4
To test our RMAN Tape backup ( Netbackup ), we created a tablespace called BACKUPTEST with only one datafile.
Then we removed the datafile. Then we succesfully restored and recovered the datafile using RMAN and tablespace was ONLINE again.
I wanted to show the evidence to my manager that the datafile has been restored. But v$datafile.CREATION_TIME will only show the time when the tablespace was initially created. Is there any other way I could find the time when datafile has been restored other than RMAN log.
Below is an excerpt after the datafile has been restored.

Look at the alert.log. It would have messages relating to the RESTORE and RECOVER actions.

You can find the last time a web page was visited by using the Library.
In the History menu select "Show All History" to open the Library. You can use the Library to view the history, and by default it will show the last date & time the site was visited. If the Visit Date column is not visible, within the Library select Views, then Show Columns, then Visit date to display that column.

Where can I find the current time and date of Time Capsule?

I have a home network consisint of 2 x Time Capsules and 1 x Airport Express. All is working fine. I would like to set up access control for one machine connecting to the network and I can see I can do this under Access Control on the Airport Utility. My question is where can I find the current time and date setting for these devices?
I can set them to use the time.apple.com server to set the time automatically, but I can't find where to see the current time and date of the device. The only place I can see reference to the time and date is on the logs and statistics under the Advanced tab of the AirPort Untility.

I don't think you can change the time and date on the TC itself, it just connects to a time server (and you set your own time zone).

Hi sagar,
If you want to know the frontend time, first of all you need to maitain the BW Statistics. To maintain you have to go the respective target and click on it. Go to the tools, select BW Statistics of infoprovider. It pop ups a window there you find two check boxes 1) WHM and 2) Front end time. Check both.
Now Exe query and close the analyzer. Then go to SE11 table RSDDSTAT. There is one field which displays Frentend time.
OR
Go to STO3 here also you can analys the frontend time.

From a couple of trusted sites I have been able to make this much clear at least for Vista users, I'm using Windows 7 but I think they relate:

However, this is a long and tedious process. The SubInACL tool from Microsoft (see the link in Resources) can change the permissions as a batch. Once SubInACL is installed on your computer, move the CMD file with all the registry changes into the same folder, typically C:\Program Files\Windows Resource Kits\Tools. Right-click the CMD file, choose "Properties," check "Run this Program in Compatibility Mode" and select "Windows Vista (Service Pack 2)" from the drop-down menu. Click "OK." I don't have the expertise to do this, do you? I wish that Apple or someone would take the bull by the horns and fix this because what I've read their are a lot of people having this problem. Any thoughts on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Performance Tuning -To find the execution time for Select Statement

Hi,
There is a program that takes 10 hrs to execute. I need tune its performance. The program is basically reading few tables like KNA1,ANLA,ANLU,ADRC etc and updates to Custom table. I did my analysis and found few performance techniques for ABAP coding.
Now my problem is, to get this object approved I need to submit the execution statistics to client.I checked both ST05 and SE30. I heard of a Tcode where we can execute a select statement and note its time, then modify and find its improved Performance. Can anybody suggest me on this.

It is a general practice to use           Select * from <database>     This statement populates all the values of the structure in the database.
The effect is many fold:-
     It increases the time to retrieve data from database
     There is large amount of unused data in memory
     It increases the processing time from work area or internal tables
It is always a good practice to retrieve only the required fields. Always use the syntax      Select f1 f2 fn from <database>
e.g.     Do not use the following statement:-
     Data: i_mara like mara occurs 0 with header line.
     Data: i_marc like marc occurs 0 with header line.
     Select * from mara
          Into table i_mara
          Where matnr in s_matnr.
     Select * from marc
          Into table i_marc
          For all entries in i_mara
          Where matnr eq i_mara-matnr.
     Instead use the following statement:-
                                   Data: begin of i_mara occurs 0,
                                        Matnr like mara-matnr,
                                              End of i_mara.
     Data: begin of i_marc occurs 0,

i want to find out the execution time of query like a sales report executed in 10 min. how to find out that? is there is any TC for that or what is the option to use that?
and how to fing out execution time of Data source to info providers.. or DSOs to IC? like how much time taken to load data?

Hello Preety,
Goto RSRT give the query name and see the technical property you will find the query generation time.
For the time taken for execution Select the execute and debug mode in the options select display statistics.
Execute the query
Click back
You can see the statistics.

Our inbound delivery document's delivery date calculation = Actual GI date in Outbound Delivery + transport time.
My question how do i find out the transport time? where in the outbound dlivery document state this and where in the SPRO stated the outbound dlivery time?

LIKP-ROUTE is the route assigned to the delivery, it is not time. As you can see route has an impact on scheduling but it is only one factor.

I think it's better you take your time and and invest some energy in reading the help, there's no point in writing down the same again on the forum.

How to find the elapsed time between 2 events ?

I want to use the robot class and I have register all events in a file but when I use the Robot. It isn't synchronous. So I should find th elapsed time between two events for reproducing them with the method delay of the class Robot.

It sounds like you want to reproduce the events with varying time between the events? This is a good idea for a couple of reasons 1) it's possible to enqueue events so quickly that Robot gets ahead of the Java GUI, and 2) every human does their mouse/keyboard activity at varying (and relatively slow, relative to the computer that is) rates of speed. It would help make a more realistic interaction to vary the speed of event reproduction.
Since you can't control the amount of time between the call to Robot and when the event arrives in the application, you can't be ultimately precise about this. You'll have to accept a teensy bit of slop in the process and just live with it.
That is ... you can do something like robot.method1() .. Thread.sleep(1) .. robot.method2() .. Thread.sleep(1) ... and that will give slight delays. If you vary the value for Thread.sleep you can vary the event reproduction speed. Early in the development of Robot I experimented with something like this - I set up an EventQueue listener to capture all mouse/keyboard events (remember that each comes with a timestamp) and then reproduced events using the time intervals from the captured events to control the Thread.sleep times between Robot calls. It worked pretty well, and the mouse would dance around in the same way I moved the mouse around.

I would like to know the specific date ( hour + minute) a backup was executed.
For example the output of rman command : list backup of database;
show Completion Time : 08-MAY-12 . I would like to get the exact time .

I took level 0 rman database backup.
The problem is that there are also level 1 backup which seems to be run at the very same time.

After the install I can't find the Run Time

This seems ridiculous. I generated an executable with the installer (2009) and installed it on a pc and everything worked great. I now tried to install on a 2nd pc and although the N.I. Run Time folders are apparent, I can't find the button to push to get the Run Time running. Is there a main file that I should be clicking?

Your statement makes little sense, maybe you can clarify it for us. (What are "N.I Run Time folders"? What is the meaning of "apparent"?, etc.)
The run-time engine is not something that needs to be started by pressing a button. All you do is run the executable applications, and it will silently and automatically find and use the correct run time engine. Could you show us a screenshot on what you are looking for?
(Also, built LabVIEW applications should not show the toolbar with the run button of the development system, because they should run when openend and close when done.)
