Firefox (all recent versions) has begun to display parts of ebay grossly magnified, around x300%, other browsers don't-why?

But an old desktop, running I thnk Firefox 2, doesn't do it. It looks as if there is a bug embedded somewhere in the current machine (on xp) that isn't affected by switching versions. The opening ebay page is ok, but e.g. watch list is absurdly inflated.

Recent update has affected second display - help

MacBook Pro, Dell E207WFP, in my case, after last update of 10.6.8, the macbook ONLY work with external monitor connected with mini-DVI to VGA adapter. If I remove the external monitor the MAC doesn't start.
I want to go back to 10.6.7 or remove the video drivers to return to my laptop display again.

I have the exact system setup and am seeing the same problem of a pixelated display after updating to 10.6.8.

After recent upgrades Firefox prevents links in several websites from working whilst there is no such problem with other browsers - help please.

Since a recent upgrade of Firefox links in several websites no longer work. They used to be fine and I loved Firefox. The problems do not exist with other browsers e.g. Internet Explorer, Google Chrome. More specifically, on talktalk.co.uk the links to news items do not work, nor do those to "My Account." On Barclays.co.uk the link to print my statement doesn't work - similarly on MBNA.com
There are several suggested solutions around the internet but all are complex, none so far have worked and I don't see why I should need to carry out the suggested tweaks. Firefox used to be great - now it isn't. The problem seems to be with the upgrade. Please help me to get my Firefox to where it should be.

Thank you but please don't waste any more time on this. I have done as I said I would - removed and re- installed Firefox, cleared all cookies and caches (CCleaner) - still doesn't work. As I said at the start, the problem is not confined to Talktalk - it applies to several other sites and links. Firefox is set as my default browser but will not open. I can access other browsers

Firefox crashed while I was browsing. I re-started the LT and now Firefox will not start. I have tried re-starting from the desktop, the tool bar and the start menu.I can use other browsers which are not my default browser eg Googlechrome. This is not the first time Firefox has crashed but is the first time it would not re-start. I have looked through the Firefox support page but potential solutions require Firefox to be open to access the Firefox toolbar.
NB. I am an IT dummy (seriously) ie I have no idea what a plug-in is so the simpler the better when explaining what I am doing wrong. Thanks

Adobe update to Version XI (11.0.07) stopped programs working and pdf's showing in browsers don't print

A program we use for our financial system no longer works since Adobe's latest upgrade. It pops up requesting that we install adobe pdf reader then opens in a squashed window with none of the buttons clickable. To fix we have had to roll back to an older version of PDF Reader which creates other issues with PDF's now requesting the latest version and not opening.
It concerned me that the pdf update ran in the background despite users clicking no to the update. Sneaky, broke our finance system which our organisation cannot be without.
Also users are unable to print pdfs that they have opened from the web. There are no error messages, just nothing happens. To work around we have to save to the PC then print.

The printing doesn't work from either the print dialogue or the browsers print option. The printers are Xerox FX ApeosPort-III and Docucentre IV
In regards to our finance program no longer working:
Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit
Reader XI updated to 11.0.0.7
No error message, the program only partly loads after stating it requires Adobe PDF reader (which is installed)
The program is in visual basic and it appears the latest version of adobe reader prevents the layers loading properly.

I love Firefox, but recently it has been crashing multiple times per day (sometimes 20 or more). I've checked the web help, and can't resolve. Please help.

I have Windows 7 and Firefox 7.0.1, and those two combined have caused a crashing epidemic. I do not have many add-ons installed, and the ones I do have are all updated. I also did not see the crashing coincide with a recent download or install. I've checked all the online help, and nothing has provided resolution. If someone could assist that would be great. I do not want to be forced in to using another browser.

I've upgraded to the most recent version of FF. Streaming/page loading is worse than ever. I have done all that's recommended to fix it. When will FF come up with a fix? And how do I revert back to a version that actually works? Please help. Thanks

your aspx menus are probably using document cookies to store static information. (f12>Console tab, document.cookie )
ensure that client machines are accepting your company's default GPO settings.
Tools>Internet Options>Security tab,
click "Reset all zones to default"
Content tab, click the "Default" button.
Open a change request with your site developers to feature test for noscript and cookie support in their client side code.
File>Properties to determine which IE Security zone a site is opening in.

Firefox 30 doesn't load a lot of pages that other browsers do. WHY??

For the last 5 days, Firefox doesn't load pages that other browser on my Mac do. I'm talking about all kind of pages (big .com pages like apple.com/trailers or boingboing or Runkeeper or even Mozilla support pages). I restart it and it does load them, but it doesn't take much time before I get to other that Firefox just doesn't want to open). I reset it, I cleared the cache, I tried all sort of suggested tips and tricks to no avail. In the mean time, all the pages with errors work just fine in Chrome or Safari.

You can open the Web Console (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer) and check on the Network tab if any content is blocked and has a size 0 (zero).

I'm building a website in Adobe Business Catalyst and am redirecting a page to a blog. Works fine on Chrome, Safari and IE. I get a Page Not Found on Firefox 6. Makes no sense to me...

It turns out that Apache's mod_jk.log, which is used to store the output of communications between Apache and Tomcat, had become full. Once it reaches 2 GB, Apache can't write to it anymore. Once we stopped Apache, stopped Tomcat, rotated out that mod_jk.log, and restarted both Apache and Tomcat, our Web application started working again in both Safari and much more reliably in Chrome.

I have used my new Nike+ and new nano for approximately 3 weeks. I loved it the first few weeks, and was very motivated. Recently it has begun miscalculating pace partway into run...my first mile might be 7:40 (typical) and suddenly even though I haven't slowed down, I'm going 24 minutes per mile or worse, zero! I don't know how to fix this. Any help much appreciated!

Flash in Firefox performance is terrible compared to other browsers

I have been having this problem with Firefox for over a year now, and nothing changes. So many updates and this problem still persists. I have read several possible fixes for this issue, yet nothing works. It is strange that many users have complained about this issue and Mozilla has done nothing to fix it.
At the moment, I'm at the breaking point with this browser. Sometimes pages freeze while loading, and other browsers don't have this problem either. You mean to tell me that even Internet Explorer performs better than Firefox when it comes to watching videos online and loading pages without freezing?
I remember when I use to think the issue has a lot to do with my slow computer. After getting a better one with 8GB of RAM, the problem still shows its ugly head

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
#Open Firefox ''Options'' window (''Preferences'' on Mac or Linux) as follows:
#* In Firefox 29.0 and above, click the menu button [[Image:New Fx Menu]] and select ''Options'' for Windows or ''Preferences'' on Mac or Linux.
#* In Firefox 28.0 and previous versions, click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
#In the Firefox Options (or Preferences) window, click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select ''General''.
#In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
#Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

Why does firefox call IP 208.53.130.221 on startup? Even with blank page? And keeps trying the same address even after is shut down? No other browsers does it!

I can see it via my firewall log; checked for malware, nothing found. It's like Firefox is trying to report somewhere, and it's always the same IP address. I even stopped using firefox all together. Opera doesn't display the same problem, neither does the IE, so this is firefox related.
Even though I have 3.5.2 now, this is a roll back from the later version - I thought it might be related to later updates, but no, 3.5.2 does the same thing.

It's the forums that make the image tiny, if you do a right-click > copy shortcut, you can then paste it into a new tab, which will let you see the full size image. It's a 3360x1050 image, maybe a bit big for the forums.
Basically though, the left image is IE, and that shows an error box. The centre image is Opera, and that shows an empty screen. The right image is FF, and that is how it should look.
If it's a machine specific error, then I can't work out why it is on several machines in my house... very odd.

Firefox will not load any web pages. I recently ran a registry cleaner/virus scan on my computer and now Firefox 5 will not load ''any''webpages. It displays a "Problems Loading Page" error message.
