Why is it, after I downloaded the new version of steve jobs, I lost all my highlighted placements in the book and whenever I tried to highlight something, it lags tremendously. Is there a reason for this?
And all placement in which I highlighted in previous version of the book, it directs me to a completely different page and sentence in which I highlighted previously. And the frustrating is, I can't delete the false highlight.

Firefox seems unable to show the comments section of blogger posts, had to use IE instead, why?
My blog on Blogspot.com does not have the comment section able to be viewed in Firefox. I had gone into Blogger and done all I could do and the comment section was not viewable. I am unsure, why? The most unusually thing is that I could post on other blogs that use Blogspot; just not mine. However, when I use the IE Tab for my blog, the comment section is visible and works. Update: This is a known issue in Firefox 4 beta 12. The latest nightly builds availible here fix this problem: ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla-central/ I was using beta 11 at the time of my reply.

Yesterday, I was unable to access Firefox at all and had to use another browser. Today, Firefox is back but all my bookmarks seem to have disappeared. I followed the procedure for restoring bookmarks from a backup file. I selected the file to back up from, but I received an error message saying that Firefox could not access that file.
Did you install the Places Maintenance extension and checked the places.sqlite database file?

When i try to search for specific sites whether to find something or group together a list of sites from the same site, etc, after i type in a term in the Search History box, nothing appears. When i click the empty area it says "no item selected" at the bottom. However i can still search my bookmarks. Just wondering if there's a way to fix this.

The problem keeps surfacing every time I use the browser. Around 1-2 times per session. It causes the screen to become unresponsive, and soon after it blacks out for about a second or so. Once it comes back I get a message saying that my Display driver has become unresponsive, but has recovered. Firefox continues to work, but sometimes the upper right row of buttons (minimize, maximize, close) either disappears or ceases to work. Never have had a similar problem before with any other browser or application.

I recently installed arch on a desktop, but there is a problem installing X: for whatever reason, Xorg seems unable to load the correct keymap (fr-latin9) and instead, loads the default one.
I can see what seems to be the problem in the Xorg logs, but I actually absolutely don't know how to solve it. Here my /var/log/Xorg.0.log

The error appear to be where it says

This file (server-0.xkm) actually does not exist on the system, BUT: it also does not exist on my others Arch installations and it works fine, without errors.

Accessing Natwest Online Banking website on PlayBook?

Does anyone know if you can access the Natwest Online Banking website (http://www.nwolb.com) using the PlayBook? On the Blackerry curve it shows up as 'unsupported browser type'.
I am interested in the PlayBook, but this is a must for business use. Unfortunatly it seems the NatWest Blackberry App is only for personal accounts, so can't be hooked up with a Business account.
AndyYes you can access Natwest online banking website on the blackberry playbook browser. I use it all the time to log into my personal accounts. haven't tried business accounts but don't see why you would have a problem.

I have told Firefox to remember the password(s) I use on many different websites. It never remembers any of them. Is there a fix for this? I am using Firefox 4.0.1 and Windows 7.
Do you mean names and passwords in the Password Manager or do you mean that you are no longer logged on to (remembered by) websites after closing and restarting Firefox?
If Firefox doesn't offer to store passwords in the Password Manager then check that you aren't running Firefox in [[Private Browsing]] mode.
Websites remembering you and automatically log you in is stored in a cookie.
* Create an allow cookie exception (Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions) to keep such a cookie, especially for secure websites and if cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
* In [[Private Browsing]] mode all cookies are session cookies that expire if that session is ended, so websites won't remember you.
* Do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the "Cookies" and the "Site Preferences"
Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and passwords.

When I am trying to login to my default SQL 2008R2 SP2 instance in windows 2003 server via ssms, I am getting the below error
A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the pre-login handshake. (provider: Shared Memory Provider, error: 0 - No process is on the other end of the pipe.) (.Net SqlClient Data Provider)
When I looked into the error log and i could see lot of these messages.
The server was unable to load the SSL provider library needed to log in; the connection has been closed. SSL is used to encrypt either the login sequence or all communications, depending on how the administrator has configured the server. See Books
Online for information on this error message: 14 Not enough storage is available to complete this operation.
Force protocol encryption is set to off.
I am not sure what is the underlying problem. server's total RAM is 4 Gb and max_server_memory is set to 2 GB. CPU utilization is very normal at the time of issue.
I restarted the SQL service and i am able to connect to the instance, but the issue is repeating and i need to find a permanent fix.

Unable to load ITUNES onto PC HP, windows 7 Home Version. Error message reads "Application Application Support not found". "Uninstall and reload". I have done that 4 times on Explorer and Firefox without success. Help??
I had gotten a similar problem, except with "provider services", i believe, but i solved it by copying sqlite3.dll from E:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support to E:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support. doing that solved my first problem, but now i have been getting the error described in this topic (unable to load dataclass info... etc.). i tried reinstalling itunes (i already had 9.1.1, and thats what i reinstalled) by using the method described on apples site (using the "remove programs" tool in the control panel) and then downloading and installing itunes. when i opened it again, i still got the same error, and just now i got an error saying "the instruction at "0x00aadb6b" referenced memory at "0x00000008". the memory could not be read" it gave me the option to cancel and debug, or to press ok and terminate the program. I tried pressing cancel, and the popup went away but nothing else happened. a minute later the popup was back, so i pressed ok and itunes quit. Upon opening Itunes again, i got the very same error. sorry for the long post, but its really been bugging me. thanks for any help you might give, and if you need anymore info, feel free to contact me.

Excel 2013 PowerPivot Error - "PowerPivot is unable to load the Data Model"
I'm attempting to use the PowerPivot add-on in Excel. When clicking 'Manage Data Model' or attempting to 'Load to data model,' I receive the error 'We couldn't load the Data Model. This may be because the Data Model in this workbook is damaged.',
followed by 'PowerPivot is unable to load the Data Model.' This happens irrespective of data source type. I have Excel 2013 32-bit, PowerPivot 32-bit, running on Windows 7 OS 64-bit. I am not running an SSAS instance on my machine.

This issue seems to be caused by the October 2013 update (KB 2825655) for Excel 2013. Try to remove it or restore the system to an earlier point and check the result.

Movies, no picture, just sound on iPod
I have 5th Generation (30gb) iPod(2yrs old). I purchased 2 movies from the iTunes store. They show up and play in iTunes. I synced to my iPod, they both show up in the movies, but only the sound plays. On the screen no movie, just a little thumbnail
