Firefox will not start, so i read the FAQS and tried the suggestions and it still won't start and instead gives me an error message that says "unable to connect."

we tried un/re-installing. i tried to create a new profile, but the browser wouldn't let me. i went into my firewall settings, but nothing looked unusual. i tried restarting in "safe mode" but the same thing happened.
it looks like i'm not connected to internet, but other browsers (the awful things) work just fine.

Quit iTunes.
Go to My Music folder.
Select the iTunes folder, right click > Properties.
Click the Security tab and make sure you have full Read/Write privileges.

Did you delete all receipts with iDVD in the file name with either a .PKG or .BOM extension that reside in the HD/Library/Receipts folder and from the /var/db/receipts/ folder before installing the new copy? If not then do so and delete the new application also.

That's between you and your internet service provider. By the way, you posted to the 10.3 forum. 10.3 can't run on your MacBook Pro. Don't forget the following facts:
b= bit
B = Byte
8 bits in a byte
A typical DSL connection has 1 Mbps speed or 128 kBps speed.
At that speed
1 minute gives you 7.5 MB
10 minutes gives you 75 MB
100 minutes gives you 750 MB
A typical cable connection can be 5 times faster although some are 30 times faster.
A typical fiber connection is 15 times faster and some are 50 times faster.
Ask what your speed is rated at.

HELP! Lost ALL my bookmarks & Bookmark Toolbar is empty. Attempts to restore from the backup files yields an error message that says, "Unable to process the backup file." Have tried opening nearly all 10 existing backups w/same result.

I was in the midst of a Firefox session w/two windows open. Nothing special about the sites. No fancy javascripts or anything. When I closed the second window and opened the "History, Show all History" pull-down, the Library screen had no data in it.
I looked for the Bookmarks.html file in my profile and it is missing. I tried renaming an old .bak file from a couple years ago and I can open it as a file and see the text of it displayed but Firefox will not recognize it as and open it as the Backups file.
Following the directions already posted - using "History, Show all History" then the "Import and Backup, Restore" process - allows Firefox to see all the backups, but trying to restore from any of them yields the "Unable to process the backup file" error message.
I have re-started my machine from a cold start - twice now.

Can't get Firefox started. Instead advice given that it's already running and to close it down. BUT, Windows 7 Task manager advises that neither Firefox nor anything else is running. Several things to try.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the Sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut Off. To power up hold the Sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time (for about 10-15 seconds) until the Apple logo appears (ignore the red slider), then let go of the buttons.
Disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily.

Can you please try Right-Click Setup.exe > Run As Administrator
