I cannot get this resolved using the solution given on the error message. I have been using itunes for 4 years and have never encountered this problem until yesterday. Help would be greatly appreciated.
Quit iTunes.
Go to My Music folder.
Select the iTunes folder, right click > Properties.
Click the Security tab and make sure you have full Read/Write privileges.

What version of iPhoto do you have installed? Is if one of the versions shown as not compatible in this screenshot?
If it is then go to the App Store and download iPhoto 9.5. It will be free if you have an iPhoto 9 or later verson currently.

To be honest I'd be very tempted to ring Applecare and explain that prior to downloading iOS5 your iPod Touch worked perfectly however since downloading Apple's new iOS5 it's "bricked" therefore can they as a matter of decency try to help put things right warranty situation notwithstanding. Afterall it does appear to be one of Apple's products that has broken your previously working iPod Touch.

When I try to synch, I get an error message that says I do not have permission to synch the iPod. We have ahd problems with the laptop and I lost a lot of data on my profile, but I thought I had restored everything. Any ideas?

I have an Apple Configurator install that wont recognize an iPad when I attach it via USB. I cant prepare it or refresh it. It was supervised. I get an error message that says "policy does not have correct profile data". At some point there was a mismatch between the profile on the iPad and the MAC server. The profile on the MAC server has been deleted and the iPad has been erased and reset to default. I need to be able to get Configurator to recognize this device to prepare it for deployment and issue Apps to it. Please help!!
Run the application 'Terminal.app' which you will find in '/Applications/Utilities' on your Macintosh.
Type this into it: defaults delete com.apple.configurator PreprationSavedPolicyDefaultsKey
Hit the return key.
If you get no error message, it worked, and you can quit the app. -
I can't download anything my purchase and get message that says I don't have write access in itunes
I am trying to downlaod music from itunes for the first time and get an error message iTunes couldn't download your purchase. You don't have write access for your iTunes Media folder or a folder within it. Change permissions in the finder and then choose store check for available downloads.
I have done all of this ... made sure that they are writeable and still having problems. Any suggestions would help. I attempted to down load the 5 and 6 version at separate times. Both times I got an error message that stated I did not have permission to install the program. I own the computer and am the sole user. I am working on a Macbook Air. I have never encountered this issue before when updating Firefox. I am presently using the 3.5.6 edition and some of my sites are not supporting that edition anymore. Can you tell me what this error message means? I also have not been receiving the update messages for the new editions of Firefox.
If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop
* Firefox 5.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
* Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
* Install the new version that you have downloaded
Your profile data is stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder], so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data. -
I just got a new mac and use my external hard drive to save all my images to but whenever I go to save my photo to my hard drive it says I do not have write access....Whats wrong how do i fix this or do i need a new hard drive??@

i tunes wont download itouch restoring sotware it gets finished and gives me an error message saying the network conection timed out but its working fine what do i do?
I have this same problem, i though it was my internet (super slow) it would take 3 HOURS!! to download the update and then after all the waiting, it would say "network connection timed out" Ive restarted it and checked my settings over and over but it still says "timed out" wat should I do?!?
