First Time App Download

Embarrassed to be asking this question, but this is the first app I've ever downloaded into iTunes. Nothing happens when I click on it's icon in iTunes. How do I run an app in iTunes?

After reading your post, it sounds like you are experiencing an error with the Podcasts app. You may want to consider restarting the device first, and then resetting if that does not work. This article provides detailed instructions for Restarting, and Reseting:
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
How to restart
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on the top of your device until the red slider appears. Then drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.
How to reset
You should reset your device as a last resort and only if you can't restart it.
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

where did you download the movie from?
what is it doing when it wont allow you to play the movie?
since you downloaded quicktime is it still asking you to download quicktime?

I have downloaded 15 versions of Firefox this week - 8 were on Wednesday. Why can't I get the latest version the first time I download instead of having to download each change even though you make 8 changes in one day. This is getting tiresome.!!!!!

When I first pull up Firefox it often says I'm not using the latest version. I go to the download page and start the download. Then when its completed and the start page comes up it usually says I don't have the latest version. I went through 8 downloads on Wednesday January 4 before I got the latest. Why didn't I get the latest version the first time I downloaded.?

Firefox 9.0.1 is the latest release version.

Not being maintained by Google and it shows all versions of Firefox as needing to be updated, even pre-release tester versions that are months away from being released to the public at large.
Starting with the Firefox 4 version, Firefox is using a "local" Start Page with the address of '''about:home'''. It looks similar to the old Start Page, but it isn't exactly the same.

How do I download my itunes library from my pc to my new Ipad for the first time?

Connect the iPad to your computer and select it on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes, and then on the right-hand side there should be a series of tabs, one of which is Music - select that tab and you can then chose which of your iTunes library to sync to the iPad's Music app. If you've already bought/downloaded any content directly on the iPad then do File > Trasnfer Purchases first so that they get copied over to your computer's iTunes

HT1725 My first time purchasing, downloading and watching a movie from itunes worked fine but the second did not! An error (unknown error 50) kept coming up no matter how often I tried resuming the download or restarting my laptop and internet connection

have you installed the Keynote application, is it shown in the Applications folder?
If it is installed, what happens when you double click Keynote, are there error messages?

What then does show?
Did you setup/activate the iPod? You have to do that via wifi (for newer ones) or conneft to iTunes and restore

Restart your PC. after the PC restarts, bring up your Task manager, and go to the "Processes" tab. Click "Image name" to sort the processes alphabetically.
Now try to launch iTunes.
Does an itunes.exe process appear? If so, does it vanish after a second or so, or does it persist in the Processes tab (even though iTunes itself never shows up)?

I just downloaded the newest reconfigured version of iTunes, and for the first time ever my content is all screwed up. Specifically, all of my playlists are gone, so are my apps. However, the music library is intact. Any ideas? Thanks.............

The good news is that my music library is intact and that I've got more than one device with everything as it should be on them; the bad news is that my PC does not recognise my devices and keeps defaulting to " lets sync your devices to this new computer loose all of the playlists I've spent years compiling". I don't get it. Any ideas?
