FIX ADOBE SEND NOTIFICATIONS AND OTHER FEATURES

I would love for us to select which notifications do we want when we use the adobe send product. In the previous version (sendnow) we used to receive notifications when the file was actually sent out, and downloaded. In this version we only receive when the file is downloaded which is terrible. Moreover, it would be great to have a CC option in an email too. Lastly, I cannot view my history of files that I have sent but instead I just see a history of files available but no record on what that file is associated with, etc.. TERRIBLE. Please fix these things in the future release.

This is all very valuable feedback. To make sure that the right folks see it, I'm going to forward your post to the Adobe Send Ideas forum.
Maybe I'm misunderstanding your last point, but if you look at the Sent Files list in your account at https://cloud.acrobat.com, you can see what files have been sent, and to whom. And, if you click in the far-right column for a particular file, and then click View Full Activity, you can see when the file has been previewed and downloaded, and by whom.

The only "content aware" feature in CS5 is the fill, so you are not missing anything with the updates because nothing more is there. And I honestly don't know what you mean by "Adobe watermarks" there is no such thing, but there is a series of scripts for such stuff.

Does "Adobe Send" replace "Adobe Send Now" and if so, is there a charge for it? I was never charged for using Adobe Send Now. I cannot get Adobe Send to work for me; I can upload the file from my computer but when I click the box to send a "personalized link" a message box drops down asking me to upgrade. When I say no thanks, the message disappears but the box click does nothing. Do I have to subscribe to Adobe Send and pay a monthly fee for it before I can use it? Firefox doesn'tshow navigation buttons and other features.

Buttons to move forward the email, and other features are absent from the screen and there are blanks where features should be.

Doing a downgrade is not anything I have done or feel comfortable with. Is there a clean procedure to accomplish this?

How to send notification and email to all approvers

I am customizing the requisition approval workflow in p2p cycle.
We have to send out notifications and emails to all people in the approval heirarchy , who have already approved the req if some body higher up in the chain rejects it.
right now oracle only send email and notification to the requester.
ex -- If A requested it and next approver is B , who approves it , next is C, who approves it
but next person D rejects it
I want to send notification to C , B and A
not just A
please let me know how to do this.

Another way to choose tools and other features

If this is too crazy When I try to design interface — sorry but I really kills me in Illustartor current job so instead of thinking about their work often think where it was...
I'm not a programmer, I'm not an expert on the interface, would not you just do your job in Illustartor (not in Corel) soon so as not to lose the ideas in my head, and the time to look for options in the menus and palettes.
My idea is just an excuse to talk about it. I am unaware that it has disadvantages such as overrides composition. The best thing was that now and again shared a new color palette that allowed to build and manage objects without those damn pallets, pallet control disabled.
I'll add that in working with Illustartor about 10 years and continues to annoy me, still the same.
I secretly hope that Adobe with peers, and those discussions and ideas are written to enforce good ideas in the Adobe team.
Personally, I've got enough of the current use of pallets and Illustartor.
This idea.
After clicking on an object appears on the interactive menu. Clicking on the option to go to the next option.
In addition, one could activate the submenus by pressing the keyboard, and pressing the escape key to exit the menu one level up.
For example, after calling this menu. Click RB and key in keyboard in sequence T,A,T — Align functions will be performed to Top.
Quickly, without the alt key, cmd, ctrl etc.
This idea of shortcut could operate even now in the current menu, which would be very simplified shows repetitive functions.
This is not a new idea.
I do not understand why adobe is so dull and stubborn probably just because it makes money now so why exert yourself more.
If at the end of the menu used the GPU and OpenGL features that would not be that difficult to program.

The only other way I know of is to option-click the volume icon in the menu-bar and then select the airplay device in output.

I want to return to the previous version. I want my toolbar and other features on 3.6

I don't like the new version. I want my toolbar back along with all all the urls saved on de.li.cious. I've wasted hours looking for my stuff via the new version. I want to go back to the previous version.

To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

IOS 5 - dissapointing notifications, and others. Please fix apple!

Frankly put iso5 is dissapointing. Is this actually tested in real life scenarios?
Notifications, calenders are useless as you cannot select which calender to appear, all or nothing. Many of us have multiple shared calenders but do not need or want all in notifications.
Mail notifications, likewise half baked, perhaps I want something other than unread mail to appear, you know like unread and flagged! Or last 10 read or otherwise.Talking of flagged mail, great but I cannot search for flagged, so its needle in the haystack time to find emails. Likewise cannot search by unread, still. Marking unread or read is now two clicks. Making text bold is so convoluted it is not really usable.
iPod split to into 2 apps, always looking for more icons, yes I am being sarcastic. A time and space waster.
Zoom on camera, used to be a one handed function, now need my other hand to hold phone while I pinch. Pinch and zoom is not simple nor ergonomic.
Wireless sync, perhaps I don't want auto sync.
Cloud, sync select photos? No its all or nothing.
Well you get the picture, these are all items that within 5 minutes of the update were apparent. And there are more.
Did I mention my battery life has gone from 2 days of standby and moderate use to less than one. If I could rollback I would.And I lost the siri app on iPhone 4.
Oh and this website is a nightmare on the iPhone tying. Unusable.

Not getting Facebook Notifications and other issues

Okay. I have been dealing with this since last night and I don't know what else to do. I have not been receiving any push notification from Facebook. I thought it was an issue with the device so I power cycled the device and when I tried to access the Facebook app, it asked me to sign in. As I proceeded to enter my log in information, I get an Error Code 2602 and was not able to log in until I uninstalled the app and then reinstalled it. What is going on? I have seen THOUSANDS of feedback posts in teh App World about this and it has not been addressed. It is things like this that make companies like Instagram not build apps for the Baclkberry platform. PLEASE FIX THIS IMMEDIATELY!!!!!

My guess would be that Facebook and/or RIM has done something and jacked up all Blackberry users. Hopefully they will get their act together and fix it... Android phones are looking better and better to me at this point, and I am considering not waiting the year and just buying one out right.

How do I fix Adobe Photoshop performance and crashes?

The performance of my computer is very slow and when ever I try to run Adobe Photoshop my computer freezes up and crashes. Have this continues problem. Not sure how to fix.

Folders, Subfolders, and Other Featural Miscellany

Hi!
First of all, I must say (as I'm sure many have said before me) that the graphic interface of Adobe Buzzword is excellent -- simple, uncluttered, and quite sleek. I am a great admirer of design aesthetics, and in this aspect Buzzword has no peer. :O)
However, I do find myself missing a few features that I've gotten used to with, say, Google Docs and in Microsoft Word as well:
1) Subfolders -- I notice that with Buzzword I'm able to create folders within my personal workspace, but I cannot create any subfolders (and sub-subfolders, etc.), which constitutes, I think, a significant cost in convenience given my organizational preferences. (For instance, if I create a folder called "UChicago Essays" I will of course want to further categorize them according to subject/course, and further according to semester. Buzzword, however, does not allow me to do this, and the best I can do is make separate folders for each subject.)
2) Creating and saving a new document -- When I want to create a new document I typically want to save it in the current folder I'm in, and it would be excellent if Buzzword could implement a feature that allows users the option of doing this (rather than having to return to the main page and dragging it to the folder).
3) Superscripts/subscripts -- Considering how much I rely on footnotes, it would be really nice if Buzzword supported the use of these symbols.
4) Font support -- I realize this is a minor quibble, and frankly I'm quite fond of the seven fonts provided, but additional fonts would be very useful (Times New Roman, Arial, Verdana, Georgia, etc.)!
5) Paragraph support -- single-, 1.5-, and double-spaced usually do it for me, but there are always the occasions when I'd like, say, 1.25 spacing...
6) Zooming -- Another very minor quibble, but is it possible to save one's zooming preferences? They seem to always revert to the standard 100% when I reopen a file that I've closed and saved. On a similar but slightly unrelated note, is it also possible to center align the entire document? (As it is, the document is framed by a very nice background, but it is skewed to the left with quite a bit of blank/wasted space at the right, so it would be excellent if I could somehow move the entire page rightward, as Word documents usually look.)
The addition of more advanced features, I trust, shall go a long way towards improving the versatility, accessibility, and user-friendliness of Buzzword (and consequently, perhaps, its market power!).
Thanks for listening! Suffice to say, I hope my suggestions (especially the first two) will be taken into account and that, before long, users will be able to create as many subfolders as they desire, among the other things I've outlined above.

Only folders with music files in show up on your player - you could put a small dummy music file into each of the higher level folders. Record 2 seconds of silence as a WAV file and then convert it to an mp3. Put a copy of it in each folder you want to see.
To shuffle in all folders use Shuffle Repeat or Shuffle Once modes.

Cannot send videos and other files on ipad air

There is no button "send files" on my 4.19 skype. I can send photos, video message, but not video from my ipad library or any other files. Any sollutions?

Were they able to confirm that their app will allow the download of files of that size? There should not be any issue with downloading files sizes when on Wi-Fi. The phone does not have restrictions, but a timeout can be an error of the ISP, or something the App does. Then again, if you are downloading via Wi-Fi, is the device going to sleep during this time? Is it connected to power? If it is going to sleep and is not connected to power, even in the download mode, the sleep mode of the iPad could be disconnecting the Wi-Fi. Try doing it with the iPad connected to power.

How to send images and other colored text in email body

We are using SAP CRM 4.0 and we would like to send email to our customers using actions configured for activity. Our objective is to send Marketing Emails containing <u>Images and Color texts</u> in the BODY OF THE email and not as a PDF attachment.
The only relevant provision we could see in SCOT is either Text or PDF. On using text , we are loosing all images and color. The PDF option works , but the email generated is a blank email with PDF document as attachment.
We want the matter to be inserted in the body of the email and not as attachment.
Please do let us know if any one has faced similar situation and is there a resolution.

Are you pasting in the HTML code?
You can't use the formats in the CRM editor to set bold text, etc. You have to use the HTML code and have set the Form up as Internet mail

A bare minimum is your email has to have the <HTML> tag at the top, but it's advisable to be sure you have a more complete setup like this:

Adobe Application Manager and other Installers All Messed up

I have a Mac Pro running 10.5.8 and CS5 Design Premium. Today I noticed 3 new updates: Bridge 4.0.2, Camera Raw 6.1, and a Flash thing. I ran the update using Adobe Application Manager (AAM). It failed on all three. I tried every way I could find to re-install AAM including
1. Deleting the PDApp folder under OOBE
2. Running the installer from a terminal window in silent mode
3. Running the original installer
Running the original installer starts AAM, which then crashes, and when I relaunch it, it looks for updates and doesn't return to dealing with the full install.
So, I have no idea what to do. I cannot reinstall CS5 or uninstall it. I cannot update anything, even by hand.
I am a fairly sophisticated OS X person, so I am not doing something stupid like not being connected to the net. It's a permissions or ownship thing.
Any suggestions would help.

Your problem is similar to mine.AAM and Deavtive are two central actors in this isssus. OOdude is right on Deactive Question is YES/NO to AAM. Two options with some trial and error. Follow the below-but...
AAM Runs??
1) Deactivate. Uninstall. Run the clean-up script**. Reboot. Reinstall. If you product key works, you’re good. Live long and be creative.
AAM not Running? ‘
2) Backtrack on the link I left earlier. Look it over. If that helps, follow it. Try running the clean-up script. Should pull the bad installation. Reboot and Reinstall. If your product key works, you should be good.
No luck? The sticking point is the fact that you were not able to deactivate. Tech support calls time. No matter how painfull, Adobe’s product key use database has you in its grips.
3) Tell Support “reinstall due to software problems and product key not working.” Adobe will give you codes to release your product key. " You can’t out horsepower this problem.
** >The "Clean-up Script" appears drastic, but it only removes CS5 and "takes out the trash.". Cyber-house cleaning on steroids. Be mindful of instructions and follow to the letter. Reboot. Run CS5 install. Similar to a "clean install" of your OS, but CS5 is the "only-warez" affected.
