Naveed,
Landed cost only supports inventory item in current system design.  You need to do it manually for Fixed Asset.

  • Oracle Fixed Assets API for updating depreciation flag after conversion

    Hi frnds,
Do we have any API's or update program to update the depreciation flag after asset conversion. We are converting all the legacy assets from 11.0.3 to r12 with a depreciation default flag of 'N' since depreciation is already calculated in 11.0.3 and we don't want to calculate any depreciation when we run our year end depreciation in R12. But anyhow at a later point we need to update the depreciation flag to the original value that of 11.0.3 in r12, so can you please help me if there is any API or standard program to update the depreciation flag.

  • Payment for Landed Cost

I have added a landed cost on my Purchase. I include hauling fee. How will I create the a/p invoice for the said landed cost?

You need to create service type AP Invoice.
The clearing account which got credited at the time of creating landed cost can be used in AP Invoice.

  • Reversing Landed Cost document with more than one vendor

    Hi Experts,
Reversing Landed Cost document with more than one vendor:
My client can reverse a landed cost document with One Vendor, but cannot with multiple vendors. I have also tested this in 8.8 PL10. Here is a brief description:
Created Landed cost by selecting 2 vendors in the Vendor field.
After you picked one vendor, you go to the vendor code/name again then choose another vendor you
need, once you picked, the system will ask you whether you want to delete the previous data, then
you say no, after then you will see the vendor name became "different vendors" and code be "********"
(on the vendor tab: you will see two vendors)
To Reverse Landed Cost we do the following with Landed Cost documents that only have one vendor:
I can copy from the Landed Cost document (on the right-bottom corner) while creating new one with
zero amount to reverse, which is ok; but for multiple vendors, the list of vendors onlyshows one of
the vendors for Good Receipts & Landed Cost.
Cannot copy from a Landed Cost document wioth more than one vendor to reverse this Landed Cost.
To be albe to copy from a previously created Landed Cost document (with multiple vendors) as you
can with one vendor to reverse the transaction.
Can this functionality be added to future versions?

Take a look at business area and groupings in they payment program settings...
I am not sure what version you are on but the following link for 4.7 should provide some valuable information...

Grouping Open Items and Individual Payments
Wherever possible, the payment program will always group items together for payment.
The payment program can only group together open items for payment if the open items in an account have the same:
    1. Currency
    2. Payment method in the item
    3. Bank in the item
    4. Contents of the grouping fields (if a grouping key is specified in the customer or vendor master record)
You can also pay open items from different company codes together, as well as customer and vendor line items.
Items in an account are not grouped together if you:
    1. Make payments separately per business area. This procedure entails separate payments being created per business area.
    2. Want to make individual payments
Items in which a payment method is specified are not grouped with items in which no payment method is specified.
You define the required grouping key in the IMG for Financial Accounting under Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable -> Business Transactions -> Outgoing Payments -> Automatic Outgoing Payments -> Payment Method/Bank Selection for Payment Program -> Define Payment Groupings.
In our system, if the business area is the same, there will be one ZP document with one line with a posting key of 25. Otherwise there will be many individual 25 posting key lines with.

  • Landed Cost Question

I understand the Landed Cost procedure but I am not sure how this cost is added to the A/P invoice
Example: I receive an Invoice from a supplier ABC for 1000 units at £1.50 cost each = £1500 but on the same invoice I have Other Costs of £300. So my Total Invoice to pay is £1800.
The problem I have is how to process this Invoice because
    1. I raise an Item Order no 1946 for 1000x1.50= £1500
    2. Goods are Received = Goods receipt procedure
    3. Via Landed cost Procedure I add the £300 to costs and it shows me that the Cost per Item is now 1800/1000= £1.80 per item
4 Now, if I turn my Item Order 1946 into an A/P Invoice, this will miss the extra £300 that my supplier charged and I am not sure how to handle this situation.
    Thanks for your help
    Robert
I am obviously missing the point about the correct Landed Cost procedure

    Thank you Jimmi and everybody.
I managed to work out the issue and my understanding is as follows:
The proper procedure for an A/p Invoice with landed costs should be:
    1. Raise A/P invoice as normal (Order/Goods Receipt) and add the additional cost Using the Freight/Other Costs option. This will Credit the Creditor with the correct ammount and the main ISSUE is that the Freight/Other costs in the setup, should be set to the Landed Cost Suspense Account.
    2. Go to Landed Cost Procedure and add Freight/Other costs as described in the manual - this procedure will automatically Credit the Landed Cost Suspense Account and increase the Stock value accordingly (as set up in the landed cost setup - by quantity or % etc)
there seems to be a lot of confusion about this procedure but I think that this is correct and there is no need for any adjustment journals.
    thank you
    Robert

  • Fix Asset - Write Downs Impairment

    FA Experts,
Our company is in the process to book an impairment amount to some of our manufacturing assets. Since this is a procedure rarely use I am not too familiar with the configuration process. We have SAP 7.0 does anyone have any information as to where I can find information as the best SAP practice for Impairment? or can anyone point me to the right direction? I have done some research in the SDN but I am not finding detail information that can help me enough as to what to watch out for and how to configure it, reports available etc.
Your help will be greatly appreciated

Here are the steps I took for impairment, basically SAP does not provide an impairment procedure as there are many ways of doing it. We did a REVALUATION of fix assets using tcode ABAW.
Here are the steps you need to configure:
    1) FI     SPRO     IMG > Financial Accounting > Asset Accounting > Integration with General Ledger > Post APC Values Periodically to General Ledger > Specify Document Type for Periodic Posting of Asset Values
    2) FI     AFAMP     IMG > Financial Accounting > Asset Accounting > Depreciation > Valuation Methods > Depreciation Key > Calculation Methods > Maintain Period Control Methods
    3) FI     AFAMS     IMG > Financial Accounting > Asset Accounting > Depreciation > Valuation Methods > Depreciation Key > Calculation Methods > Define Multi-Level Methods
    4) FI     AFAMA     IMG > Financial Accounting > Asset Accounting > Depreciation > Valuation Methods > Depreciation Key > Maintain Depreciation Key
    5) FI     AO90     IMG > Financial Accounting > Asset Accounting > Integration with General Ledger > Assign GL accounts
    6) FI     OABW     IMG > Financial Accounting > Asset Accounting > Special Valuation > Revaluation of Fixed Assets > Revaluation for Balance Sheet > Determine Depreciation Areas
    7) FI     OAYR     IMG > Financial Accounting > Asset Accounting > Organizational Structures > Specify Intervals and Posting Rules

    Dear All,
As far as I know we have never loaded the Fixed Assets module before.  I donu2019t see any templates that get installed with SAP for DTW but I wonder if they have them on the web somewhere as they are now supporting Fixed assets module for Canada and the US. Does anybody know if SAP has template for Fixed Asset?  I know Fixed Asset has an utility import master data
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Yuka

    Dear Yuka,
Fixed Asset module is an add-on. Therefore, there is no DTW available.  You have to use the utility from this FA add-on.

  • How to Modify a Landed Cost Document

is it possible to modify the landed cost document after journal entry is posted.
We would like to add a new landed cost component to the document after the journal entry was posted.
Is there a way to add a new component / cost to the document after the journal entry is posted.

As far as i know, you can't. Once the journal for the relevant landed costs is posted SBO automaticaly closes the landed costs document. Interviening with this is interviening SAP logic. Higly not advised.

  • [B1-V9] Cancel automatic depreciation run/Fixed Assets

    Dear Expert,
Could you please let'us know how to cancel automatic depreciation in fixed assets
    Depereciation : Depreciation run
    Possibility to cancel capitalization: yes
    Version: 9 , PL:09
    Thank you for your feedback
    Kind regards,
    Med

    Hi
Below is the SAP Note for Cancel Depreciation.
1974682 - Posted Depreciation is cleared after Captalization is canceled
    Symptom
Posted Depreciation in Fixed Asset Master Data ->Depreciation tab is cleared after Captalization is canceled.
    Reproducing the issue
    Prerequisites:
Enable Fixed Assets is ticked Administration->System Initialization->Company Details->Basic Initialization.
    Scenario:
    1. Define a Fixed Asset
    2. Create AP invoice (Purchasing AP->AP Invoice) or Capitalization (Financials->Fixed Assets->Capitalization) for fixed asset and planned depreciation for each month is 100 for example
    3. Run depreciation to post depreciation for this asset, for example 400 is shown in 'Posted Depreciation' column in Fixed Assets Master Data ->Depreciation Tab
    4.  Cancel  the document you have created in step 2 via Data->Cancel
    Actual behavior:
In fixed asset add-on: The posted depreciation remains in the 'Posted Depreciation' column in Fixed Assets Master Data ->Depreciation Tab
In Business One version 9.0: Value in 'Posted Depreciation' column in Fixed Assets Master Data ->Depreciation Tab is cleared.
    Cause
    Behavior change.
    Solution
In Business One version 9.0, there are three status for asset master data, which are "New", "Active" and "Inactive". If the status of the asset is "New" after its first capitalization is cancelled, no data would be shown in the grid in Asset Master Data's Depreciation tab. But users can still run depreciation again to clear the posted depreciation.
And In Business One version 9.0, users can define the default behavior when canceling the first capitalization document via Document Settings form -> Per Document tab, and choose Capitalizatindocument -> check box 'Deactivate Fixed Asset After Capitalization is Cancelled'. If this check box is chosen, the status of asset master data will be "Inactive" after its first capitalization is cancelled, otherwise, the status will be "New".

  • Project in Landed Cost

    Hi All
In 2007 B Landed Cost document, the system will pass a automatic
journal entry. i am not able to select project field in the row level
    of the landed cost document.
In client business scenario, he will import all goods based on projects
and he wants to know how much revenue and expenses are getting on that
project. Could you suggest me how to follow the scenario for Landed
    Cost.
One landed cost Document can be based on multiple GRPOs  created for different projects.
    Ex:-
    Having 4 GRPO's with project A, B, C and D respectively.
When i am making a landed cost document.
I will select all this 4 GRPO's into one landed cost document.
My price distribution will be based on weight and volume.
    At present Journal Entry
    Raw material -- --- -- -- --- --- Debit
    Transport    -- --- -- -- --- --- Credit
    I Need
Here i need to distribute the price project wise
    Journal Entry
    Raw material -- --- -- -- --- --- Debit for project A
    Raw material -- --- -- -- --- --- Debit for project B
    Raw material -- --- -- -- --- --- Debit for project C
    Raw material -- --- -- -- --- --- Debit for project D
    Transport    -- --- -- -- --- --- Credit for Project A
    Transport    -- --- -- -- --- --- Credit for Project B
    Transport    -- --- -- -- --- --- Credit for Project C
    Transport    -- --- -- -- --- --- Credit for Project D

    Hi
    Sir
What i want to say is that for every landed  cost u have to assign a G/L account
and for every G/L account (expenses and revenue only ) u can predefine the Profit Centres
so for example the landed cost is 'A' you can assign 'X 'G/L Account to it so u can assign  ' Y 'Profit Centres  to 'X' G/L account it means whenever you SELECT  landed cost 'A'  in Landed  document with 100 Rs it will hit Profit Centres ' Y '
You have assign distribution rule actually  so if  Y1  and Y2   are Profit center and u have to assign landed cost IN 20: 80 ratio u can do it by defining a distribution rule

  • Cannot use Landed Cost if GRN PO has partial Goods Return

    Dear Experts,
I'm using SAP B1 2005. I met a problem whereby the GRN PO cannot be used in Landed Cost if one of the items has done the Goods Return, eventhough the GRN PO status is still 'Open'.
    1) Create GRN PO with 2 items.
    2) Goods Return on 1 of the items.
    3) Go to Landed Cost, when choose the GRN PO, system prompts an error message: The requested document is closed for Landed Cost.
Is there any way to use Landed Cost on the rest of the items?
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Lay Chin

    Dear Yang,
the only workaround that comes in my mind is:
    - return all the goods
-create a new Goods return PO with the items you want to create the landed costs for
    - create the landed costs
Another piece of information I can give you is that I could create the Landed Cost on 2007a sp00.
    Kind regards,

  • Fixed Assets Posting period

    Good Afternoon,
We have a customer that accidently created a posting period for a Year, e. g. 2011-01, when it was supposed to be created for months (12). He then deleted the period from the Posting Periods in System Initialization and created the correct period, e.g. 2011. In the fixed assets add-on both periods remained and the add-on can´t be updated accordingly.
When they did the fiscal year change they changed from 2010 to 2011-01, instead of doing to the correct one, 2011. Then the fixed assets values were updated for the period 2011-01 (and not for 2011).
Now they need to do the depreciation run for January (and next months) and they can only select the option 2011 (can't select 2011-01). The depreciation runs but, in the end, doesn´t post anything in the journal entry.
What can I do to solve this issue?
    Thank you,
    Susana Cunha.

    Hi Gordon,
How can I break the links related to fiscal year change done from 2010 to 2011-01?
When I try to do fiscal year change again i can't select the 2011 year, the field is automatically filled with 2011-01. Then I can´t update de fixed assets values for the period 2011.
    Thank you,
    Susana.

  • Fixed procedure for Costing. (Sequence)

    Dear All
Pls explain the Fixed procedure for Costing. (Sequence)
    Regards
    Avijit

Odi Procedures are mainly meant for DML execution..A SELECT query there holds little or no value in my opinion..
Select queries are only usable in Command on Source and there the general application of that is to use those values returned by the SELECT query on Command Source as a input to the Command/Query/Statement/Java or Jython block at the Command on Target Tab in a one by one iterative manner.
Lets say your command on source returns 5 rows..So your command on target is executed 5 times and you can use the attributes of these rows as inputs to your command on target in each iteration .. It works like an Internal Cursor
