My flash is working, except for the CPU drain and slowness while playing games on Facebook. I thought the hardware acceleration of 10.1 was supposed to help this, but the games really crawl along. Sometimes I just have to give up and close the window with the game. The high CPU usage only occurs when I am on the tab with the game, not when I switch tabs or minimize the browser.
Is there anything else I can do? Is there some setting I have to change so that these games use my graphics card? Is this a problem on the game's end? If so, any suggestions on what I could tell them to bring this to their attention?
Also, increasing the allowed cache size seems to have no effect.

After reading that you may decide to try turning H.A. off and see if that improves any. Sometimes the games on Facebook can be troublesome.
Regarding what you can do, what has been recommended is to update the graphic and video drivers to the latest versions. If you have already done that, then I don't know.
I don't know if the game(s) have any system requirements listed. If you want to contact them, you might ask if they support Flash Player version 10.1.85.3 which is the latest one. Also, some sites require Shockwave Player in addition to Flash Player. You can read about that here:
http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/ If you don't need it I would'n install it though. Also I hear there is a Google toolbar that if you dont' want it you need to decline.
Now this forum had a discussion about Uninstalling any old version of Shockwave Player(if you have it) so just a FYI.

Adobe flash player plugin keeps crashing using facebook games

My adobe flash p;ayer plugin is crashing many times a day for over a month now using the facebook games, I sent crash reports in many times stoped now, just reload page, this is getting to be a big pain in my butt. I also unistalled the plugin and reinstalled many times to try to correct this, still crashing....

Reloading the page will often get the video, game or animation to play again.
If Flash continues to crash, updating to the latest version of Flash should fix the issue.

Click Close to close the Adobe Flash Player Settings Window.
Restart Firefox.

Use of Netflix and facebook games on TouchPad

I just received my TouchPad and was hoping that Netflix and some of my facebook games would work on it, is there an update or program that is available to make that happen. I want to be able to take the tablet with me so that I can use it when I get free time to myself during my work day (lunch). Thanks in advance for all the help.

Hulu used to work, but I think they locked down their service to only allow PC web browsers access. Mobile browsers are prohibited as far as I know.

Lastest flash player problems ...slow opening Farmvilles and facebook games

I have been having problems opening my Farmville page on Facebook with the flash player.....it is taking about 2-3 minutes to open it and when I try to help other people on my requests page it takes forever to do just one. I have done all the things suggested like emptying cache and working through each issue....even thought the problem was related to the Virus protection but when I uninstalled the flash player I had no issues with helping people out but when it came time to load the game I was prompted to download the flash player and when I did it slowed everything down again...getting really frustrated.....installed the 10.3 flash player onto laptop and still am having a slow loading page......never had this problem until recently......help

reinstalled flash player correctly and now is just crashing no more other message...mostly when I play on facebook ( treasure Isle game)

My home page and facebook games open with a very small window. The print is extremely small. How do I change the size of windows and print?

Even when I click on full size in my games on Facebook, the windows are not as large as they were in Internet Explorer and the print size is very small. I had changed the size of the print in IE, but don't know how to change it in Firefox. The same is true for my homepage.

Flash Player standalone, hardware accel & licensing

Hi everybody.
I'm going to achieve my current project of a standalone app developed with the Flex Open Source SDK. I post my questions here because they are related to flah player. In fact, this work will be published as an old-fashioned interactive cd-rom...
My first problem is about hardware acceleration: since flash player 10.1 or something like that it's enabled by default, but i'm experiencing bugs with it... at least on my computer, which has a relatively old integrated graphic card, with the hardware acceleration, i have a realy poor display in fullscreen mode. Is there any way to disable hardware acceleration by default on the published CD-ROM ?? Otherwise I will need to publish it with some troubleshooting documentation, but i don't like it...
Other question: what do I need to know about publishing such a CD-ROM and licensing & copyright issues ? Do I need to include some README file about it ? (note: i'm not using Flash Builder to develop this project)

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

I have vista OS and a game on facebook says need adobe flash player 12.0.02 or later. I have version 15 and it's not bringing it up. What could be wrong?

I'm trying to play a game on facebook, but when I go to play it, it comes up with a message saying I need to install adobe flash player 12 or later. I installed version 15 but it still keeps getting that message to install version 12 or later. I checked in my control panel under programs installed and it shows that adobe flash player 15 active x listed. So why won't the game see it? Do I need an older version of adobe flash? You might not have the plugin for Firefox installed. Adobe has two different versions of Flash - one for Internet Explorer and another for Firefox. Internet Explorer uses ActiveX. You can check if Firefox has the plugin by going to:

I am using a Nvidia 4200M adapter in my Laptop, Driver 266.96, Direct X 11
In my desktop I am using an ATI XFX 6950, latest revision drivers (I am not at home right now so I cant get that info).
The issue I did describe above, but it was a long explanation.
In some flash games the game files load initially and get as far as the "click to start" button. Then the flash area usually goes either all white or all black (usually depending on the falsh game default background color) and then it stays that color. Cant see anything after hitting start (usually most games have an intro video or animation before the game starts, but I cant see any of it.
For the very few games that do start, the flash game or application does not seem to work correctly in that when the rare game starts, it wont save any game files or save files to the pc and so if I exit the game (navigate away to another page or close browser) and then later come back, even though I click the option to save games (and ensure that the flash application slider shows it can save files and lots of space) it does not save and I have to start from the beginning all the time.

Can't load facebook flash games completely, can load and play games anywhere else

I have adobe flash player 10.2 for firefox installed. I've got 3.5.18 Firefox. Up until about February I was able to play flash games just fine, even with an apparently outdated Firefox and flash player 10.
Then I suddenly couldn't completely load games like Frontierville or Treasure Isle. No matter what I would do; including clearing the cache, clearing temporary internet files, reloading the page repeatedly, restarting my computer and uninstalling/reinstalling my flash plugin and my browser, the loading screen would hang at about 98% completion. This is now a common issue across the site for me. No games at all will load.
I can go to any other site however, and play any flash movie or flash game I wish. It will load properly, and play as normal.
Any and all addictinggames.com games and any and all miniclip.com games work just fine, as an example.

I have played the facebook games on firefox, they run perfectly fine on firefox. no problem with the games. All the games are working fine. Facebook games, chrome games or be it online games, they work absolutely fine on my firefox. There might be some problem with your computer. Try to fix it yourself. My firefox runs absolutely fine. The favicon on my site is a movable one which keeps sliding. Even the favicon works on my firefox which does not work on Google chrome. Internet explorer completely messes up my website but firefox is absolutely working good. A facebook game (ZumaBlitz) That I have been playing for years is causing me to be prompted to download and install flash player, when I do it still doesn't work.

How to I get Facebook games to recognize Flash 11?

My computer advised me to update my Flash player, so I did and now I cannot get any Facebook games to load. Well, most any games for that matter. Alot of my kids games don't load either. It's like my computer doesn't recognize that I have the player installed. They all either stay blank or tell me to upgrade my flash and provide the link to Adobe. I've tried everything on the Adobe website. I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. It says enabled in my Manage Add-ons. I'm not very advanced in computers, but can manage my way through things. I have Windows 7 64-bit and IE9 version9.0.8112.16421 on my computer. Everything was working fine until I upgraded to this new version 11.1.102.63 and now I can't go back to the old one! Any help someone can give will be soooo helpful.

Thank you. I completed another uninstall and then deleted all the files, once again from my computer. When I went to the website to reinstall Flash, it was a different version that came up. This time your site loaded 11.2.202.228. This seems to be working fine. I don't know if there were some files that I deleted this time that I didn't catch all the other times or there is something with this new version number that works when the 11.1.102.63 didn't. In any case, everything seems to be working. Thanks so much from your prompt attention and help.
