Flash CS6 publishing issue using accordion plug-in

I apologize if I have limited info on this issue. i'm providing remote support and my user is only providing limited intel...
I have a user running Flash CS6 and has designed a site using the accordion plug-in with XML. When she publishes it from her Mac (10.6.8) then views it the SWF doesn't play nicely. The buttons function for a short period then freeze. She had another user open and publish from a PC using CS5 it works fine. They've compared the code between the 2 and there are supposedly no differences. She has this problem when publishing from CS4 as well (again, on Mac, 10.6.8). To add to the confusion, I've been sent the URL to both her version published from the Mac, supposedly not working correctly, and the version published from the PC. I've tested them both in Chrome, Safari, and Firefox on my Mac, and Chrome, Firefox, and IE on my PC and I'm not seeing any issues.
Anyone have any ideas?

Most accordion components I know need an additional xml file to fill them up with content.
This must be loaded properly into the swf, to make it show sth.
if you only have a swf file to test, its likely that the xml was left out.

Nobody can tell you anything without proper system info or other technical details. The standard answer with all text issues simply is, that you have a "bad font" on your system and need to get rid of it.

Flash CS6 publishes 10.3 swf and it validates as a Flash 12?

I have tried to publish my Flash files as 11, 11.2, 10.3 etc., and they all read as Flash Version 12 in the DoubleClick Flash Validator. When I change to output version 8 it reads as version 8.
Any ideas?

This problem was created by Adobe. I created a custom preview utility for the Flash files we create where I work and in doing that I added code to detect what version the Flash file is published to using FlashTools.dll in a .Net app and it's reporting mostly the same thing:
10.3 = 12
11.1 = 14
11.2 = 15
What it is doing is reading the first few bytes of the .swf file, which I believe Double Click Flash Validator is probably doing the same thing, maybe with the same .dll. It's not a Double Click Flash Validator problem, it's how Adobe decided to change the version encoded in the .swf file.
From an Adobe blog post (http://blogs.adobe.com/rgalvan/2011/11/adding-fp11-support-to-flash-pro-cs5-and-cs5-5.html), the versions are out of sync. I think this is because they started adding bigger features to the published .swf but needed only smaller Flash Player updates.
Flash Player 9 = swf version 9
Flash Player 10 and 10.1 = swf version 10
Flash Player 10.2 = swf version 11
Flash Player 10.3 = swf version 12
Flash Player 11 = swf version 13

Flash CS6 adl issue

I'm working on an Air for iOS app in Flash. Up until last night I was using Flash CS5.5 to do the work. I upgraded to CS6 last night and now when I attempt to run the project from within flash, the stage is displayed wrong. I get a 1024x768 adl window with all of the graphic elements shifted 50% out of frame on the top while width is unaffected. What's even more strange is that the hit zones for buttons are still in the proper positioning within the adl window, but all the graphics are off the screen....
Has anyone else experienced this?
If so, is there a work around?
I have gone through the publish process and it still works fine on an iPad even though the preview on the desktop is out of wack.
Having to publish and test on my device is really hampering workflow....
EDIT TO ADD:
Ok, I've found a work around, it appears it's a bug where having the render mode set to GPU or Direct causes it to center on the portrait orientation Y axis regardless of the forced orientation in the Air 3.2 for iOS settings.

Flash CS6 Installer Issue

Hi,
I have recently tried downloading the trial version of CS6 Flash for Mac. When I click to download, the installer tries to install Flash Player. I have no idea why, CS6 Flash is nowhere to be found in its contents.
I have Mac OS X v. 10.7.4.
EDIT: I've resolved the issue myself; it appears I just needed an Adobe ID. Apologies.

AS3, Flash CS6 Button Issue

I'm using the code below to have button "legalBtn" access the layer and instance name of "legalOverlay." Then after the legalese has been read, the enduser can close the "legalOverlay" via "closeBtn" and return to the last frame of the banner ad. The code below has no compiler errors, but the "legalBtn" is still not working. Any ideas?

Seems too easy, but I don't see that you're calling init() in order to actually add the listener to legalBtn.

Flash CS5 Publishing issue

I am embedding FLV movies in Flash documents but every time I want to publish them, the process suddenly stops and the file is not created.
And I tryed to close and open the file and then publish the file again, in some cases it works but in others I have to restart Flash or even the PC to publish the files.
The files are being publishing in SWF and the movies are not longer than 5 minutes.
Lately, I had the same problem with a file that only contains images.
I have a PC with a i7 processor, 8 GB RAM and Windows 7 64 bits.

The only way it plays smooth out of flash professional is when it is published as an .html
You don`t publish a flash movie to html, html is only the wrapper around the swf-file, so if your swf works fine embedded inside an html and is choppy when testing as a standalone swf, it has probably to do with some background processes flash is running during the test (Auto-saving or whatever). Try to close the FlashPro IDE before running your swf file, you should get at least the performance that you get inside a browser.

Publishing issues using iWeb 3.0.4 (601) on-board FTP loader with 1&1

I've searched and found nothing that looks like this particular problem (could be I didn't use the right keywords, but please no replies telling me to try a search.)
I have 2 websites that I manage on a 1&1 hosting account.
Several days ago, both were publishing properly, and navigating properly from the base domain (stjohnslex.com & forkyle.us). Currently, I'm not sure what's going on.
Somehow, either by my error or a server malfunction the sites began acting strangely. The stjohnslex.com site gave a 404 and the forkyle.us site started directing back to the stjohnslex.com webpage using the forkyle URL. I spent hours on the phone with tech support and as much as I feel like they tried to help me, they couldn't get that iWeb has its own FTP loader.
So here's what happens when I click publish: The forkyle site tends to publish quickly. The stjohnslex site gets to the stage where the little gray publishing pie shows up beside the name but never notes any progress.
When I go to the 1&1 Webspace explorer, all the files appear to be there. Finally in a fit of frustration, I deleted EVERYTHING in my online account and republished the forkyle site, and it appears to be working as intended. The church website still doesn't want to load. I've checked and re-checked my FTP settings, the account name and password, the URL that it's supposed to publish as, the port is set to 21, and the Test Connection tells me everything's good to go. I just can't for the life of me figure out what's going wrong with it.
Any ideas?

The iWeb FTP uploads the folder containing all the website files and an index.html file.
If you upload two websites to the same root folder, one of the index.html files will over write the other.
When you enter the URL...
http://www.domain.com/
.. you are directed to the index.html file which opens the Home or first page of the site whose index.html file resides in the root folder.
I'm only guessing here as I don't know your hosting setup.
Perhaps you need to upgrade your hosting account to accomodate more than on site so that each has its own root folder.
Even the most backward hosting usually offers an extra folder - public_html and WWW - or something like that.

CC thinks Flash CS6 is installed and it isn't

Okay, I really need Flash CS6, because Flash CC doesn't publish any lower than Flash 10.3 and won't publish AS2 which is what the websites' specifications call for. This alone is causing massive headaches.
So I need Flash CS6 which I used to have installed (legally) but my licence expired so I went to Creative Cloud.
Creative Cloud Desktop still thinks I have Flash CS6 on my workstations but I don't. I deleted it when I went to an SSD for the system hard drive.
So I can't download Flash CS6 either and I have web banners to despatch.
Massive frustration here...

Okay, to sort the problem (no thanks at all to Adobe. I was on 'Live Chat' for an hour with no help...) I 'got' a .dmg file for Flash CS6 and when I installed it I just clicked on 'I have a subscription'.
But the problem with the Creative Cloud Desktop persists - there is too much reliance on it (no alternative download options) and the software itself is flakey. It's constantly asking to update itself, lord knows why and then it doesn't work when you do actually need it. And since I'm now paying monthly for service, I'm less than impressed with both the product and Adobe's attitude. Why take away support for AS2 and Flash <10.2? Bah humbug...

Flash CS6 Mac Publishing issue

I am publish a Mac .app using Flash CS6 but I can not protect it with SoftwarePassport.
SoftwarePassport freezes during the protection process.
I already, reset the preference and I had try to publish old and new files.
All with the same results.
Also i try to publish the files in Flash CS5
Any idea?

I accidentally uninstalled Flash CS6. When I reinstalled it (using a download found here on the Adobe website: Download CS6 products) I was unable to move the window around my screen. There was no window "boarder", it was only a white box that I couldn't move from the upper left corner. Also there were no toolbars. My first thought was to check in the Window options, but despite my clicking on the various options nothing popped up. I also tried changing the window display options on my computer, thinking that maybe the window header was stuck somewhere "off screen" in a place I couldn't see. I also tried toggling with the "paste board" option in flash. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled flash CS multiple times, and each time its always the same.
This is really weird, I think I've tried practically everything. I just really want to talk to Adobe on the phone but they don't let you do that.

Toolkit for Create CJ on Adobe Flash CS6 - Exporter.jsfl issue

I am using toolkit for Create CJ on Adobe Flash CS6
The animation need to be supported on HTML 5 devices. When I am publishing the below message appear on the Output window and cannot create the file:
The following JavaScript error(s) occurred:
At line 264 of file "Exporter.jsfl":
out of memory
There are not images, only text and graphics mainly drew on Flash and just a few imported from Illustrator, and I used classic Tween and a few masks. No idea what is “Exporter.jsfl” file stand for.
Is there anyone can help me with this issue?

Correct Flash CS6 iOS publish settings for iPhone?

My programmer and I are trying to publish an iOS app for iPhone from Flash cs6 and are being rejected because "Your app did not run at iPhone resolution and/or 2x iPhone 3GS resolution when reviewed on iPad. The contents of your app are not displayed within the confines of the screen."
In Flash CS6 iOS publish settings there is an option to export for iPad Only, iPhone Only, and for iPad and iPhone. iTunes Connect is sending us a screenshot that shows what we see when we publish a development IPA file using the iPad and iPhone setting. But the IPA file we submitted to them was published using the iPhone Only settings which when viewed on the iPad2 shows up inside the little iPhone 1X frame and can be expanded to 2X as well. I believe this is what they are saying is not happening when they do the same.
Has anyone else who uses Flash had this issue? If so what stage size and what publish settings should be used when trying to create an iPhone only app?

iPhone only app should be published with stage size:
640x960 for portrait view
960x640 for landscape view
... if the app are going to be fullscreen.

Issues with Creative Cloud/ Flash CS6

Hello, I've recently (Friday, March 15, 2013) restarted my subscription to Creative Cloud for Flash Pro CS6, but I haven't been able to open the application.
However, I've contacted tech support (by phone and chat), but I still couldn't get any luck.
What I've already tried (numerous times), but failed:
Uninstalling and reinstalling Flash though the app manager
Opening it through creative.adobe.com (still had the option for to "Try" it only)
Updating Flash CS6
Rebooting my PC
Rebooting internet connection
Opening Flash on another PC (still no luck)
No matter what I tried, it kept taking me to the page requesting a serial code, when I'm supposed to have a subscription. I've had previous subscriptions to Creative Cloud and never had this problem until now. What's really worse is, that the payment has already been posted and taken out of my card and yet I can't use what I paid for. It's an extremely unsavory feeling to pay $30.00 for something you can't even use. Sorry to sound blunt, but I could really use some help (or a refund) to resolve this issue. I'd also appreciate it if you could let me know if you're having a similar issue and/or know of a workaround to the problem!

I've tried your suggestion, but unfortunately, I couldn't even get past the third step because I still wasn't able to open Flash, even when I did follow the first two steps. Just a thought: I have Photoshop Elements 9 installed, but I know that it's not part of CS, but could it possibly be something with PSE 9 interfering with the app manager? Though, I have had PSE 9, a trial of Illustrator CS5, and a subscription to CC for Flash CS6 installed on my computer once before, I had no problem whatsoever. But now I just have PSE 9 and (Flash CS6). I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the issue I'm having, but I just wanted to make sure.
