Flash Relative Reference

I share maintenance responsibilities for a site with someone else.  We both have Dreamweaver CS4.  She uses Win 7 and I'm on XP.  We had been getting warning messages about Flash objects (swf) possibly not working, so she deleted and reinserted some of the swf files.  Now the swf files do not work when the pages are loaded from my computer, even though they work OK when I load the pages from the site.  I tracked the problem to the relative reference for the swf files.  When she re-inserted the Flash files, Dreamweaver created:
<param name="movie" value="/images/MyBanner.swf">
However, when I reinsert the swf files, Dreamweaver creates:
<param name="movie" value="../images/MyBanner.swf">
I can change the references in the pages she created from '/' to '../' and the swf files work fine when loaded from my computer.  I have tested this in IE 8.0.6 and Firefox 3.6.2.
Any ideas.

    How do I create a relative row reference with hfr functions, specifically text functions.  I know "cur" or "current" will give you the relative reference of the current row or column but am trying to figure out how to reference a row above.  Can I use "Cur -1" or something similar?
    I am going line-by-line using text functions at the moment:
    Text Row Header
    <<MemberDescription(Current, 1, "Entity")>>
    <<MemberDescription(Current, 2, "Entity")>>
    <<MemberDescription(Current, 3, "Entity")>>
    <<MemberDescription(Current, 4, "Entity")>>
    etc...
    Many thanks in advance

    you can use IsMissing function to achieve the same. Just have a try, hopefully this should work.

  • Update all flash-related software modules?

    I cannot figure out how to update all .dll and .ocx flash-related files on my system.  I have already gone through the usual update routine by visiting http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/, which tells me I have version 10.0.32.18 of Flash player installed.
    However, there are other flash-related modules installed which Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 flags as security risks.  Going through Creative Suite 3 update does not yield any available updates at this time.  Here is what KAV 2009 finds as security threats:
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Bridge CS3\browser\plugins\NPSWF32.dll - version 9.0.45.0
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Contribute CS3\Configuration\Plugins\NPSWF32.dll - version 9.0.45.0
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS3\configuration\Plugins\NPSWF32.dll - version 9.0.45.0
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash CS3\AIK\runtimes\air\win\Adobe AIR\Versions\1.0\NPSWF32.dll - version 9.0.115.0
    C:\Windows\System32\NPSWF32.dll - version 9.0.45.0
    C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash\Flash10b.ocx - version 10.0.22.87
    Is there any update process in place to handle all this in one go?  Finding and replacing these things one-by-one (let alone typing in all the above) is tedious an inefficient just once.  On a regular basis it just won't get done in a timely manner.

    Hi Michael,
    Let's try going back to older versions of the player to determine if we've got a new bug against 11.2.  I'd recommend running through the clean install steps (or at least running the stand alone uninstaller), then installing 11.1.102.63 (unzip and locate the dmg).  After testing that, run the uninstaller again and then go back to 10.3.183.18.  Finally, I'd also recommend trying out 11.3 beta out to see if it occurs there too.
    Thanks,
    Chris

  • Shockwave Flash ActiveX reference?

    Hello. I am trying to embed the Shockwave Flash ActiveX
    object into my C++ application. I am having a hard time finding the
    official reference documentation for the interfaces. Does anyone
    have a link on hand?
    Thank you for your help!

    Hola samsara 1970:
    Pues al parecer o tienes desactivado el control active x del
    sockwave Flash
    Player o bien tienes activado el bloqueo de ventanas
    emergentes o pop us,
    That's all.

  • Flash as2 reference

    I downloaded the as2 langueage reference pdf and I'm
    completely baffled. I
    look in the index under video and it lists nothing that has
    to do with

    I looked up "playHeadTime" in the index and that didn't exist

    Thanks David, that's a great start.
    Certainly, the search engine seems to be of no help in
    unravelling what you
    have unravelled here...or, I suppose, until I learn how to
    use it based on
    what you've mentioned.

  • Flash cross reference

    Does anyone make a cross reference tool for a Flash FLA file?
    I have quite a bit of experience with flash but I recently got
    talked into making some changes to a full Flash site. I'm pretty
    sure the site was made from one of the commercially available
    template and like a lot of people I'm having a hard time figuring
    it out. I can find some of the clip s that are being launched but
    there is no obvious script on the main scene timeline that seems to
    launch them. There is one reference to what must be a instance
    label call &quot;scroller&quot; as in
    _root.scroller.gotoandplay(2) but I can't find the origin of it. I
    tried using Movie Explorer but it does not even show all the
    scipts. Some sort of cross reference would be nice.

  • New Features/Ideas for FLASH related work?

    Let's see....I know there are always new cool and money

    Flash video is where it's at (IMHO)...
    Since your company does e-learning, why not create some video
    tutorials or demonstrations. This is very time consuming so it will
    keep everyone busy. Plus there is the ability to shoot these
    yourself with fairly reasonably priced equipment, then all the time
    to edit and add effects digitally, and then merging the video
    content with Flash.
    There are 18 million different ways to incorporate Flash
    video into new and exciting money making ideas. Now why don't you
    send my your site's fla souce since I just gave you a million
    dollar idea.
    *holds breath*
    Seriously though, your site is one bad-a$$ piece of flash
    work. Nice job.

  • Relative references

    I've created an application which uses some images, which are all bundled together in a jar file.
    I reference the images using object.setIcon(new ImageIcon("images/Icon1.gif"));This works fine, and I can happily run the applicaiton using: ~user/files/prog/ $ java -jar foo.jarMy problem arises when a user types:~another/ $ java -jar ~user/files/prog/foo.jar My icons aren't loaded, because they can't be found in ~another/images/
    Any ideas for this one??
    Thanks
    Tristan

    try:
    import java.net.*;
          try {
             URL url=this.getClass().getClassLoader().getResource("images/Icon1.gif");
             object.setIcon(new ImageIcon(url));
          } catch (Throwable e) {
             System.out.println("error");
          }This will make sure that the program fetches the image from the images subdirectory of the directory where the class file is kept.

  • No sound in flash-related videos since I updated my browser and flash.

    I updated my browser and flash. Before this I had no problems whatsoever with sound in flash videos. I was watching them just fine and then I installed the updates, and all of a sudden flash vids play fine, but have no volume. I tried adjusting the mixer volume on my system tray and nothing. I don't want to go uninstalling and reinstalling and losing years of settings because somebody couldn't code flash properly.

    If you are having a problem specifically with Adobe Flash Player, you need to contact Adobe.

  • TextArea - Adobe ActionScript 3 (AS3 Flash) API Reference

    This question was posted in response to the following article: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/fl/controls/TextArea.ht ml

    >verticalScrollPosition     property
    >Gets or sets the change in the position of the scroll bar thumb, in pixels, after the user scrolls the text field vertically. If this value is 1, the text field was not vertically scrolled.
    >The default value is 1.
    I think this should say "in lines" rather than "in pixels", same as scrollV property of the source TextField.

  • How to remove related reference?

    Hello,
    I have two entity service: Incident and DispatchOffice.  Service "Incident" has relation to DispatchOffice service with name "dispatchOfficeRef" and cardinality 0..n. I want to delete one related object from this relation:
    String key = <incident_object_key>;
    String rel_key = <related_object_key>;
    AIncident inc = IncidentServiceProxy.read(key);
    bool result = inc.removeDispatchOfficeRef(DispatchOfficeServiceProxy.read(rel_key));
    inc.getAspect().sendChanges();
    During running this code I have no errors. After removeDispatchOfficeRef() call "result" variable has "true" value. But CAF doesn't anything: relation still exists.
    Permission check are disabled for both entity services.
    What I does wrong? Thanks for help.
    Best regards,
    Eugeny

    I found answer on my question.
    I created application service with following code:
    Incident inc = this.getIncidentService().read(incident_key);
    inc.removeDispatchOfficeRef(dispatch_off_key);
    this.getIncidentService().update(inc);
    It's works.
    CAF is very very strange thing.

  • Constant Flash-Related Safari Crashes

    I've got a 2008-vintage black Macbook (2 GHz Core Duo).  My hard drive recently died, and I replaced it with a Samsung SSD and did a clean install of the OS (Snow Leopard 10.6.8 - the newest version this laptop supports), with Software Update fully up to date.
    I just installed the latest Flash Player from Adobe, and now I'm getting nearly constant Safari crashes (probably 6 or 7 in the last hour), which the crash message blames on the Flash Plugin.  I've never seen a single Safari crash on this laptop in the previous 4 years (with Flash always installed), so I'm really not even sure how to debug or try to fix this problem.  I've Googled for help, but haven't found any clear direction (and most of the forum posts and such are from 2011 or earlier).  I've tried rebooting, and uninstalling and reinstalling Flash, but none of that seems to help.
    Any ideas on where to start would be very much appreciated.

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
    Check which version of Safari is actually loaded. I recently reinstalled the 10.6.8 Combo Update v1.1 and discovered that Safari was still at version 5.0.5, rather than 5.1.7, the latest release.  Software Update did NOT discover that there was an update available, and did not offer to install it.
    Searching Apple quickly located the WINDOWS version of Safari 5.1.7, but no link to the OS X 10.6.8 version.
    OS X Safari 5.1.7 is available at this link from this non-Apple source at macupdate.com, a reliable vendor of Mac software. Click on 'Download Older Release' to get the correct one for 10.6.8.
    http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/15675/apple-safari
    I also use the Click-to-Flash Extension to eliminate automatically loading most Flash content. You can 'whitelist' websites where you want to load and display Flash content automatically, and also set the preference to display HTML5 content when available.

  • Relative reference in condition of SUMIF

    I need to SUM all the weekly totals. Each row has a date. In a hidden table, I calculate the WEEKNUM of the entry. Using SUMIF, I can add everything up. However, it appears I have to hard code the condition. For example:
    =SUMIF(Table 5 :: A2:A37,"=30",Table 5 :: B2:B37)
    Is there some way I can avoid "=30" and use some kind of reference?
    A2:A37 is each entry's week number, B2:B37 is each entry's totals
    dt

    If the weeks are sequential, you can use ROW() plus an integer (ROW()+28 for instance if the formula was in row 2) to reference the week. You will also want to make the range absolute so instead of A2:A37 it would be A$2:A$37 or $A$2:$A$37 or you may be able to use a more simple A in place of the range which will reference the entire column. Same with the reference to B2:B37.
    You would end up with
    =SUMIF(Table 5 :: A, ROW()+28, Table 5 :: B)
    then fill down to the rows below, no changes required.

  • Relative url to call flash movie

    Please help..
    I want to use a flash movie (a.swf) in a shocked piece on a
    server. The a.swf file is in the same folder with the authorware
    files on the server and is supposed to call other files while it is
    running. How do I call the a.swf as an external media using a
    relative rather than an absolute url. I tried embedding the a.swf
    file in the authorware piece but when it runs it does not call the
    other files.

    If you're sure they won't be behind a firewall or proxy, you
    can use
    NetLocation to do the relative reference.
