Flashlite 3 - cs3 device central update crashing :(

Hi all,
I've just installed flash9_en_us_9_0_2_update and
AdobeDeviceCentralAll_Patch.dmg (osx). So I can now publish to
Flashlite3. However, I have a flash file which runs fine in device
central when exported as Flashlite2 but when I try to export it as
Flashlite3 (using any of the adobe generic flashlite3 profiles) it
begins to run in device central but then device central crashes
(quit unexpectedly) :(
I don't suppose anyone here has any ideas what might be going
wrong?

    You are saving maybe 600 MB and Bridge is an integral part of Photoshop as is Camera RAW which is a whopping 23MB.

    How can I tell which is the last Device Profile Update
    installed on the computer I work on?
    How can I tell if the Flash Lite 3 update was installed
    before the Device Profile Update #4 or not?
    Was the Flash Lite 3 update done by the built in CS3 updater
    automatically, or it sould have been installed manually?
    My apologies if the questions sound stupid.

    With all due respect, you misunderstand my question.
    You're telling me to install the Update #4. If I do it,
    seeing some changes in the status of the profiles could mean a
    successful update--and a successful downgrade too. Just think about
    it: if the #5 has already been installed and I overwrite it with
    #4, it causes changes too. This is not a solution, this is blind
    flying.
    The question is if there is a way to tell which is the latest
    update installed on this computer--prior to any actions.
    I don't want to do any guesswork, don't want to investigate
    any changes in the status of the profiles after an experimental
    install, want to know it for sure. Is there a way or not?

  • Device Central update extension

    Does a Device Central extension exist? It would be nice to be able to update the various smart phones as they come out without having to purchase a new version of DW...

    I dont think uninstalling mentioned programs will give you much disk space.
    The only thing I would uninstall is Encore.
    You best option is to get a new disk, because I do not think its going to work properly. You need additional workspace on the C;drive.

  • Device Central CS3 NOT compatible with Leopard

    I just upgraded to OS X Leopard and Device Central CS3 is no
    longer usable. OS X says it is "not supported on this
    architecture," as if the machine was PowerPC (it is an Intel
    MacBook Pro). All the Adobe support docs says DC is compatible so I
    don't know how to resolve this situation.

    手順が不明ですが、ひとまずDevice Central単体で起動した場合はどうでしょうか？
    また、携帯端末のブラウザは詳しくないので関係性は不明（「ブラウザでプレビュー」の中にOperaがいるのかな？）ですが、Operaの初期化が出来ないと言うことであれば、Operaなど のブラウザのTempファイルの削除が有効かも知れません。

  • Device Central だけをアンストールするには?

    Device Centralを起動させようとすると、

    、と表示されるのでCS2・CS3関連がインストールされているPCで、CS3関連を先行して関連を片っ端からアンストールしている最中なのですが、そもそもDevice Centralだけをアンストールさせることはできないのでしょうか？

  • Updating Devices in Device Central

    I'm using PS CS3 Extended in Windows Vista. I would like to add more devices not included in Device Central, but when I click on "Update Devices" I end up on a web page that says nothing about updating devices.  Any thoughts on this?

    Support for this only extends to current products, i.e. CS5 and is handled via Extension Manager.

  • Device central 5.5 keep crashing.. why?

    once device centraol 5.5 started, i clicked "Connect to online library".. a dialog appear.. "loading 0-799" .. then suddenly it crashes and simply close the program..
    Please advise .. how to fix it.. need to do some testing via flash cs5.5
    On the same machine, i have installed device central 4, and could see the online library perfectly.  But i cant use Device central 4 to test Flash cs5.5 work.

    Hi Nandi,
    tried the following but still same result.. crash and close app while updating
    1. delete cs5.5 and copy cs4 directory
    2. copy cs4 and rename as cs5.5
    3. delete cs5.5, start device central, and copy device directory and device.txt from cs4 over to new cs5.5
    I notice, cs4, device.txt show 129 .. but cs5.5 device.txt show 299.  And in both method 2 and 3.. the device.txt automatically updates to 299 once i start apps.
    If you have a cs5.5 directory that is working, maybe can send over as a zip.. I try to extract and try to load the apps.

    I want to delete the old versions of these files, but Adobe says I need to use the installers in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers, but there are no relevant files in that folder. Any ideas on how to do this properly on a Mac.

    That is correct Dancingjewel.  Migrating/transferring/copying Adobe applications is not supported and often leads to unexpected behavior.  To resolve this you will want to attempt to completely remove the current installations utilizing the CC Cleaner Tool and then reinstall.  If you need a fresh copy of the installation files they are available at Other downloads.

  • Updating Opera apps inside Bridge (and Device Central)

    I have just discovered that CS4 installs a copy of Opera in both Bridge and Device Central.
    These are not updated by Adobe Updater, and are now a few versions old.
    Is it a good/bad idea to update these manually?
    I don't use Opera otherwise, so these are only there for whatever Bridge and Device Central use them for.

    That's logical enough, but hard for an update junkie like me! I had already updated my MacPro before I stopped and thought well maybe this isn't such a great idea, so I have left my MacBook Pro with the old versions.

  • Device Central CS3 did not install

    I have a trial of Premier Pro CS3
    I see that I should have Bridge and Device Central from
    viewing the payload folder. Neither are installed. All else is
    fine.
    How should I go about getting these two devices installed?
    I have searched the forum for other problems in this area,

  • CS5 Device Central Stage.width/Stage.height update problem when change the device profile.

    When creating FL 3.0/3.1 app   and testing it at the CS5 Device Central if you change the profile of the active device(select different phone with different screen size) Stage.width/Stage.height could't change. Always stays the same as the first device's Stage.width and height. Even if you add addListener with Delegate nothing happends. Also it effects to Screen Oriantation. It looks like a problem or is this a bug?

    Having the same problem, though I can't get it to connect even once. I just started researching the problem tonight - no solution yet...
    I'm on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, Production Premium CS 5.5.
    I've got no other internet issues, Adobe update works fine.
    Please - Anybody have an idea how to troubleshoot this problem?
