Fleet Management TABS (DED Vehicle Data)

Dear All,
I have two queries if you can help me out I am not geeting the tab DED Vehicle data
the two tabs vicle ID Measurments and vehicle Technology these two tabs I am getting but not the third one DED Vehilce Data
I have configured same as IDES ,In IDESthey are showing I could not make out where is is loop hole
Please tell me
Secondly On that DSD Vehicle data block timesstart -block time ends ,below the required Drives Licence plate field
How can use this vehicle for booking purpose
Like say truck today booked by X deprt ment from 9 am to 4 pm & say from 4 pm to 8 pm by Y department
ANY BODY has done this in sAP please have your views
what is use of these fields in D

Manage Tab & DTP

Hello all,
I have two questions.
1. When we go to manage tab of any data provider we see lots of information under requests tab. Instead of doing this for every infoprovider, I wante dto find all of this information from one place either a table or view or a function module or a technical content query.
2. DTP : it is creating night mares for me.
with an example can somebody explain how this works with various flags activated and deactivated for FULL and DELTA loads assuming that PSA is not deleted and PSA is deleted. A matrix would be a great idea.

I havent worked on Open hub in 2004s environment yet. But the general DTP behavior would be as mentioned below
Day 1 :
PSA contains Req 1 (full infopackage)
DSO contains Req 1 (full DTP)
OHT conatins Req1 (Full DTP)
Day 2 :
PSA contains Req1 + 2 (delta infopackage loads only Req2)
DSO contains Req1 + Req 2 (delta DTP loads only Req2)
OHT contains Req 2 (delta DTP loads only Req 2 - old requests scheduled for deletion in OHT automatically so Req 1 is deleted)
No you will have Req1Reg2 (as the datamart status for Req1will be set to blank in the DSO, so the DTP would fetch all the requests(12) that are not yet updated )
Day 3 : (i delete PSA completely)
Today when I run Delta DTP
PSA contains only Req3
DSO contains Req1 + Req 2 + Req 3 (delta DTP loads only Req3)
OHT contains combination of 123 (as the datamart status for Req1 and Req 2 will be set to blank in the DSO, so the DTP would fetch all the requests(123) that are not yet updated )

Fleet Material Consumption Field "Vehicle Technology" Tab

I am trying to utilize the gas station function within the Fleet Management Settings of SAP.
I have made the following configuration:
Settings for Fleet Management > Consumption-Relevant Counter Reading Update > Define Tolerance Check for Usage Control
A      Short-term Tolerance     "Check"    10     10   Information
Settings for Fleet Management > Consumption-Relevant Counter Reading Update > Create Gas Station

I have activated the PLM extension as well as the LOG_EAM_CI_3 Business Functions
When I go to the Material Consumption field and click the drop down nothing is appearing and it gives me the message
Vehicle-specific F4 help cannot be processed
     Message no. ITOB_FLEET113
Diagnosis
     An error occurred during the processing of the F4 help for a
     fleet-object-specific input field.
Procedure
     Check your entries and, if necessary, your Customizing.
Procedure for System Administration
     Normally the Enterprise Add-On (which has the functionality of
     consumption recording for fleet objects) must be available in your
     system. However, if this is not the case, then this also leads to the
    above message. If the Add-On has not been brought in, then the affected
input field should be deactivated in Customizing (using the field
selection).
Are there more business functions that I need to activate to make the material consumption for fleet work?

Here we define the settings for calculating the cost of the material. Generally we take a standing order for the cost collecting. And what the key for material consumption we are creating here, we have to use it in the Fleet master data for cost calculation.
For calculating the cost following are the essential things:
i. Create a Normal PM01 order. Assign that material to the order with the open quantity. And release it.
ii. Assign this order in the standing order field of that fleet Object.
iii.. Run the transaction IFCU. And when the material will be putting there, the inventory will be detected and the cost will automatically be updated in the actual cost field of that standing order.
iv. One more thing the IS of Vehicle consumption data is S114 and for Order (almost all standard IS). These all IS should also be updated with same Period (May be days wise or month wise but period should remain same.)
I have followed the above steps. The only 2 I am not certain of is the following:
i. "Assign that material to the order with the open quantity."
I assumed that this means in the work order I do not put any quantity in there.
I have my material, a reqmt qty of 0.00 (because I did not fill anything in), unit of measure, storage location, and plant
iv. What do you mean by all IS shuld also be updated with same period. Where do I find this?

Unable to find the master data loaded request in manage tab

Hi All,
Iam unable to see the loaded request in the master data manage tab after some time of loading.
Immediately after loading i could see the request.If i revisit the manage tab,iam unable to see the request.
However data is available for the info object .
Can anyone please suggest on this.

hi Devupalli,
Note your request number, find it using RSRQ tcode. Now click on the target icon and see if it takes you to the manage of your infoobject.
There is a very common error which we sometimes make: are u sure you're checking the right thing? please check that if your infoobject has text, attribute and hierarchy, you're checking in the manage of the relevant one.
For ex, if you're loading text, you have to go to manage of the text.

IMG Setting for Fleet Management - Set Reference Object for Vehicles

On other SAP 4.7 systems I have been able to access in the IMG "Set Reference Object Screen for Vehicles" under the "Settings for Fleet Management". I am currently working in a system that doesn't have that option in the IMG. What do I have to do to get this menu in the IMG?

EPM/BPC10 data manager tab unavailable

Hello,
I have a question relating to EPM/BPC 10.
I cannot use the Data manager tab, because the buttons are unavailable (not highlighted/bold).
Does anyone know what could be the cause of this?

Hi John,
That was my first reaction, too, so I checked this and I was assigned to the 3 standard task profiles.
Because of your input I saw that this was not enough. I have created a new task profile including everything.
So now I can continue. Thx for that!!!
One small thing, though:
I cannot see the tasks in the task folders during the task profile set up.
I can only see the folder and the number of items it contains.
So I don't really know which tasks I'm adding.
I don' believe this is normal, is it?
Can I solve this?
(Possible hint: I am working in a dutch version (don't know if this is relevant))

Fleet Management Concept

Dear Experts,
1)-Can any one tell me the Fleet Management concept in SAP PM?
Beacause till now I understand it is basically use for vehicle management.We can tracking the data by creating Measuring Counters & Measuring Documents & according to that we can find out fuel consumption etc. & also doing Maintenance.
But My doubt is that we can achive this from normal process also by creating equipment through IE01.
2)- Through IE31 Two Extra Tabs are coming.Is only for that we are using Fleet Management in SAP.
If you experts having any PPT or Blueprint please let me know.

PO/ S.Location and GR msg check box in 'delivery/invoice' tab of header dat

Under which case the below 2 fields are required to b filled while creating a PO apart from making them mandatory fieds in document type settings.
1. GR msg check box in 'delivery/invoice' tab of header data
2. Storage Location data in item details
in me59n, system unable process p.req to PO becoz it is mandatory to fill these two fields.

1. GR message check box issues message to the buyer after every the goods receipt against the PO.
Message type has to be configured for this functionality.
2. If you are managing stock of material at storage location level , then you will need to maintain this at PO item level.

what do v mean by this?

BPC10 - Data manager package for dimension data export and import

Dear BPC Expers,
Need your help.
I am trying to set up a data manager package for first time to export dimension - master data from one application and import in another application ( both have same properties) .
I created a test data manager package from Organize > add package > with process chain /CPMB/EXPORT_MD_TO_FILE and Add
In the advance tab of each task there are some script logic already populated. please find attached the details of the script logic written under each of the tasks like MD_Source, concvert and target .
I have not done any chnages in the script inside the task .
But when i run the package , I have selected a dimension 'Entity' but in second prompt ,it ask for a transformation file , and syatem autometically add the file ... \ROOT\WEBFOLDERS\COLPAL\FINANCE\DATAMANAGER\TRANSFORMATIONFILES\Import.xls
I have not changed anything there
in the next prmpt , it ask for a output file ..and it won't allow me enter the file name .....i
Not sure how to proceed further.
I shall be greatfull if someone guide me from your experiance how to set up a simple the data manager package for master data export from dimension . Should I update the transformation file in the script for import file and output file in the advance tab. how and what transformation file to be created and link to the data manager package for export / import .
What are the steps to be executed to run the package for exporting master data from dimension and import it another application .

1. Perhaps you want to consider a system copy to a "virtual system" for UAT?
2. Changes in QAS (as with PROD as well) will give you the delta. They should ideally be clean... You need to check the source system.
Another option is to generate the profiles in the target system. But for that your config has to be sqeaky clean and in sync, including very well maintained and sync'ed Su24 data.

Standard Structure Not Updating (S114) Fleet Management

We are implmenting the Fleet Management . I did the following configuration setting
1) Created view profile and assign with fleet object type.
2) Define the Consuamable type, Engine Type .
3) Setting done for unit of measurement for monitoring of consumption.
4) Dfined special measuring position for fleet objects.
5) Defined calculation method for fleet consumption methods.
6) Created gas station locatin.
7) Setting done for consumption relevent counter reading update.
After that I have created fleet as a equipment. After that I am posting the fuel in IFCU transaction. Now I am facing one problem that distance data is updating in MCIZ transaction but Fuel Volume data is not updating in the MCIZ report. In the PMIS stting, the key figure "IAMENFLVOL" reference indicator is "A" (Key Figure to be updated).
Can anybody help me to solve this problem

Problem faced while opening the Manage tab of DSO

Hi All,
I am trying to open the manage tab of the DSO to activate the request to load the data, But it is throwing the ABAP error when ever I am trying to open the manage tab.

Step1
Go to tcode SE16 and query the RSODSACTREQ table to find all records where the DATAPAKID > 0 for the DSO you're trying to manage and delete all of those records. This should leave records that have a value in the DATAPAKID = 0.
Step2
Query the RSODSACTREQ table again, after the deletion, to find all of the records where DATAPAKID = 0. Change the value of DATAPAKID to 2 for all of these records.
After completing these two steps, you should be able to manage the DSO.

SC DPM 2012 r2 Console Crashes when attempting to Open the Management Tab after Update to RU2

Recently we Updated our DPM server to DPM 2012 r2 ru2 from ru1. and after that every time we open the management tab in the console it crashes with the following error

We have updated the dpm agents on all of the servers that we back up by installing the update on the servers manually and according to the data in the DPM database it has acknowledged that they are indeed updated.
From what I can tell from the errors is the console is attempting to read the updateprotectionstatus from the database and it is not returning a value and thus causing it to crash. but I have no clue as to where this might be in the database to even
check if it simply missing from an update gone wrong.
I did notice that the update attempted to install twice through windows update and failed. The update does show as installed under installed updates in programs and features control panel
Any help on this would be appreciated as it does make it difficult to manage our dpm server

See if this is relevant.
1. Take a DPMDB backup.
2. Open SQL Management studio and connect to the DPM instance.
3. Expand the DPM database and go to the table tbl_AM_Server.
4. Edit the table, and under the "ServerName" column check for the DPM server name. It should be the FQDN. If it is the NetBIOS name then change it to the FQDN.
5. Try re-opening the DPM console and navigate to the management tab and see if that works now.

Here i have an issue reg the configuration screens in PM
In SAP-SPRO---Plant maintenance and Costumer Services, I am not able to find the Screens required for configuration for FLEET MANAGEMENT i e.,
1) Set List Processing for Fleet management objects.
2) Set reference object screen for Vehicles.
3) Consumption Relevant Counter reading Update.
These are mandatory for capturing the cost of the fuel into reports of Vehicle analysis report.
Please any one can Send me whether we need go for any Patches or to update any notes.
Present i am using ECC-6 EHP-5
Please reply back ,it is very urgent.

I hope, for the below points there is no separate configuration.
1) Set List Processing for Fleet management objects.
2) Set reference object screen for Vehicles.
For 3) Consumption Relevant Counter reading Update.
IMG => PM & CS => Information systems for PM & CS => Configure Measurement document update
I hope, this is common for all the versions. Please check.

Available tasks not displaying under Manage Tab in Portal.

I have configured the custom web enabled tasks for creating business role and changing the user data.
When I log into portal and select the person from manage tab, and try to choose the task, I am not able to view the tasks created under custom web enabled tasks folder.
Could you please help me.
