FLIR camera Attributes incorrect - how to reset in MAX

Hi,
This concerns a system which uses a FLIR A series GigE camera which has been running for some years. The camera failed and a new one was acquired, however it seems FLIR have changed some of the names of the cameras GeniCam attributes in the new firmware, so our Labview software does not work with the new camera.We installed and older version of the software but the attribute names that MAX is using for the camera are still the ones from the new firmware version so MAX gives errors when trying to connect
For example, in the old firmware there was an attribute : CameraAttribute::ImageSizeControl PixelFormat
in the new firmware it appears to be CameraAttribute::ImageFormatControl PixelFormat
Since the camera now has the old firmware it is expecting ...ImageSizeControl.., but in the icd it is ..ImageFormatControl...
Where does MAX get this information from? How do I reset this in MAX? I have tried deleting the cameras .icd file but it makes no difference,

Train model process - How to reset its max path

Hi everyone,
Could someone please point me into any document or give me any advice on how I can clear the max path of the process train. The process train that I created is called every time by the registration user who enters many applications. Each application creates a process train with the 8 pages they need to go through. The first time it works perfectly, but the second time, because they finished the first process, the component still thinks that they already went through all the pages and allows them to click the last page. I noticed the class is based on a session bean so I suppose somewhere I need to call clearMaxPath() from class ProcessMenuModel. I have been trying to create a method in the main class but it seems I cannot access this method. Any ideas would be appreciated. The class where I was trying to add this method is below:

Please see example code. In here it works well because of the change of data source. If you use a .json file rather than json object as data source ( I don't know how to do it in JSBin), bugs appear as I mentioned above.
Here's a simple test case using .json file as data source, hope it helps to make me understood:
Step1. select "item 0" , and check "mcb0_0" & "mcb0_1".
Step2. select "item 1". See what happens.
Result:
1."mcb1_0" & "mcb1_1" are automatically selected.------- WRONG.
2. The value of MultiComboBox is mcb0_0mcb0_1.--------WRONG.

I am a new to machine vision.
While learning the camera interface some of the camera attributes were changed.
Now some attributes are not working properly.

Powering off the camera and deleting the icd file should be the solution. That way, the camera should be "reset" to the manufacturer defaults.

Another user had success doing the following:
I got some help from an apple assistant on the phone. It is kind of round about way to get in.
Here is what he said to do and it is working for me...
a. on the device that is asking you for the security questions go to "settings", > "store" >
      tap the Apple ID and choose view"Apple ID" and sign in.
b. Tap on payment information and add a credit/debit card of your preference then select
      "done", in the upper right corner
c. sign out and back into iTunes on the device by going to "settings"> "store" > tap the
      Apple ID and choose "sign-out" > Tap "sign -in" > "use existing Apple ID" and you
      should be asked to verify your security code for the credit /debit card and NOT the
      security questions.
d. At this time you can remove the card by going back in to edit the payment info and
      selecting "none" as the card type then saving the changes by selecting "done". You
      should now be able to use your iTunes store credit without answering the security
      questions.
It's working for me ...I just have to put in my 3 digit security pin from the credit card I am using.

How to activate camera attributes in the MAX / LabVIEW

Hello,
I have created an icd file for a VieWorks camera. Therefore I used the camera file generator tool of NI. In this tool I can setup camera attributes. After creating the file, I opened the MAX and selected the camera in the IMAQ devices. The attributes I generated where correctly shown. The question now is how to activate the attributes. For instance I created an attribute to activate / deactivate the FAN. When I select the attribute in the MAX and set the value to ON, nothing happens.
This also fails when I use the SetCameraAttributes.vi in labview. I use LV2009 and IMAQ 4.6.1
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hello,
Just check in MAX that the "Serial Enable" is selected. It seems that the serial command is not send to your camera.

Did you try to set it up "as new device" without using the backup afterwards? How to set up your iPhone or iPod touch as a new device
If this does not work, get it serviced or visit your next Apple Store.

GigE Vision how can I read the camera attributes

Hi,
we are using CVI 2012 and NI IMAQdx and we want to read out the camera attributes from a GigE vision camera.
We tried the IMAQdxEnumerateAttributes2 function but it didn't work. We got no information back.
Does anyone have an idea how we can read out the camera attributes?

But meanwhile we know why, here is our solution:

It is necessary to type in the correct pathname to adress the attribute correctly. The path will be separated by :: If the path is not correct there will be no result.
To get the number of attributes it seams that the highest path name have to be adressed.

Hello all, I need to modify i real time some camera attributes ( Exposure time, Gain, etc.) but with the function IMAQdxSetAttribute is it not possible, and cause an error, (attributes like zoom, focus, I don`t have any problem).

MAX cannot find my camera attributes

I'm still learning about machine vision to do a project that require image processing. I'm using LabVIEW 2010 and my camera is only my laptop webcam (MAX recognize it as: USB2.0 UVC VGA WebCam). I'm trying to do a feature like the one in the "Grab and Attributes Setup.vi" example, which is to control, for example, white balance. Running the example itself, I can change the white balance in LabVIEW (not in MAX). The problem is that in MAX, camera attributes shows exactly nothing, thus I cannot or dont understand how to access that attribut.
So why is that the example in LabVIEW can adjust the white balance, while in MAX, no camera attributes at all is displayed?
PS: My friend using different laptop but same brand, type, model, spec (identical hardware), same driver, his MAX can detect these attributes.

the camera itself is onboard the laptop (not seperated webcam). I still haven't figure out why the attributes sometimes appear and sometimes is not. I've tried reinstalling my camera driver, IMAQ, and IMAQdx driver. I'll try using seperate webcam this weekend. Restarting my komp is also not the answer because it still appear and missing everytime. as for the reset, I cannot find it in tools menu. There's only "Reset NI-DAQmy Configuration".

EDIT: I've attach my .vi files. When the attributes appear in MAX, this .vi is working fine and as I wanted, but when it is missing, the .vi returns error. The error message:
Error -1074360305 occurred at Property Node (arg 2) in 3-8_Acquiring using Property Node.vi
Possible reason(s):
NI-IMAQdx: (Hex 0xBFF6900F) Attribute not supported by the camera.
The read attributes such as BayerGainR is just for me testing, no particular use.

How to Reset HP LaserJet 1500L Drum and Toner

(Note: This also applies to some other laser printers too. If so then please update this thread to indicate the model and any extra instructions.)
The legacy 1500 and 1500L use dumb toner and drum cartages. They have a chip which simply counts the number of pages printed, and when a preset number (as per cartridge size) have been printed, it sends a signal to the printer to replace it. This is ok if you print the average amount of ink per page, but if you print a lot of photos, the cartage will be exhausted before the indicator flashes, and if like the rest of us you print the usual selection of documents etc, then probably about 50 to 25 percent of the toner remains - what a waste!.
Fortunately, (or not) HP kindly provide incorrect instructions how to reset the counter. It's a pity that customer support don’t read their own documentation, or put it in the manual.
Do exactly the following:
1) Turn the printer power switch off.
    Wait 10 seconds for any residual charges to clear.
2) While powered off, press and hold the GO button (right hand)
3) Turn the printer power switch on while continuing to hold the GO button down.
4) After the Go, Ready, and Attention LEDs turn on, continue holding the GO button
    for at least 20 seconds (maybe 30 seconds). During this time, the Attention,
    Ready, and Go LEDs will each eventually turn off.
5) When it seems to have stopped, now release the GO button.
6) The printers LEDs will begin cycling from front to back. After about 15-30 seconds it finishes
    and everything goes quiet. The printer should now be in the 'ready' state.
7) (The missing instruction) Press the cancel (orange) button.
Send a simple colour document to the printer and it should print out ok, proving it is all ok.
Keep printing until one of the cartages or the fixer toner drum are depleted and printing result is unacceptable.
