• Non-english caracters in file names

Hi,
I use archlinux, KDE, Dolphin.
I have a problem with file names with the norwegian caracters ø æ å in some file names. I get the message that "the file does not exist". I can change the file name in the terminal, but it's a lot of work. In Dolphin the place of this letters there are a question sign. In the terminal there are different signs and a number.
Can anybody tell me what causes the problem and a way to solve it.

harida wrote:What I meant was, can it have something to do with the fact that I have downloaded these files from a torrent site,
and that they have been stored on ntfs by the user sharing them?
I don't know, but I just experienced something similar.
I used cpio to pass files from a Bluewhite64 JFS /home partition to my new Maxtor Basics 1TB external USB disk, which I had reformatted from NTFS to JFS. SOME file and directory names containing the letter 'ø' or 'Ø' are visible in file managers and in a console, yet when I try to open them the system claims they don't exist. I can NOT open them from the command line either. The names appear garbled under Bluewhite64 as well, but there I can open them without problems. I had always thought I would get safe copies with cpio...
I have LOCALE="nb_NO.utf8" in /etc/rc.conf, and
nb_NO.UTF-8 UTF-8
nb_NO ISO-8859-1
activated in /etc/locale.gen
Interestingly, with the keyboard mapped to 'no.latin1', the letter 'ø' appears as a 'funny' character on the console under runlevel 3. When I try the other choice for Norwegian, 'no.map.gz', I get a dvorak keyboard instead of qwerty. You can never win.
The problematic files in question, i.e. of the ones I copied, are old and have passed through various OS's. That may be part of of the problem, but it does not explain the Norwegian keyboard anomalies in Arch, or the fact that the files are loadable and readable under Bluewhite64.

• NFe com erro de assinatura - caracteres especiais

Bom dia,

1. Através do XMLSpy, criar uma SOAP Request p/ a interface verify (menu SOAP -> Create New SOAP Request)
2. a tag Send SOAP Request). Aqui deu válida;

• How to add exactly 2 NON XML caracters at the end of a SOAP body

Hello all I am trying to add two (and only two) extra non xml caracters "AA" at the END of a SOAP body using the JAXWS handlers as so:
HTTP/1.1 200 OK
Content-Type: text/xml;charset=UTF-8
Content-Length: 131
Content-Length: 131
Server: Jetty(7.x.y-SNAPSHOT)
<SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"><SOAP-ENV:Body></SOAP-ENV:Body></SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
AA
The problem is that if you try to add them to the SOAP body (see code below) you get a XML Unmarshalling exception. If I add "AA" as a soap attachment I get MORE than 2 caracters after the SOAP body (which I don't want)
Here is the my SOAPHandler code :
@Override
public boolean handleMessage(SOAPMessageContext mc) {
if (Boolean.TRUE.equals(mc.get(MessageContext.MESSAGE_OUTBOUND_PROPERTY))) {
try {
SOAPMessage message = context.getMessage()
String stringSoapMessage= getMsgAsString(message);
stringSoapMessage += "ss";
message.getSOAPPart().setContent((Source) new StreamSource(new ByteArrayInputStream(msg.getBytes())));
message.saveChanges();
context.setMessage(message);
} catch (Exception e1) {
return true;
public String getMsgAsString(SOAPMessage message) throws SOAPException {
String msg = null;
try {
ByteArrayOutputStream baos = new ByteArrayOutputStream();
message.writeTo(baos);
msg = baos.toString();
} catch (Exception e) {
e.printStackTrace();
return msg;
so my question is this: is there any way to add exactly 2 non xml caracters at the end of the soap body using jaxws handlers ? I have spent several weeks on this so it is not an easy question...
Thanks,
Fred.

Yes I have done it using CFX interceptors. But the runtime dependencies needed were too big for this particular use. I mean having to use these:
apache/cxf/cxf-bundle/2.6.0/cxf-bundle-2.6.0.jar
org/apache/neethi/neethi/3.0.2/neethi-3.0.2.jar

org/eclipse/jetty/jetty-http/7.5.4.v20111024/jetty-http-7.5.4.v20111024.jar
org/eclipse/jetty/jetty-server/7.5.4.v20111024/jetty-server-7.5.4.v20111024.jar

org/eclipse/jetty/jetty-continuation/7.5.4.v20111024/jetty-continuation-7.5.4.v20111024.jar
to add two caracters at the end of a soap message seems like over kill. If this is the only way to do this then i'll do it this way but it just seems like the implementation of the JAXWS API in JDK 6 seems inches away from being able to do this no ?
Thanks for the replies,
Fred

• In some websites, the caracters are not clear and impossible to read when I scroll down. I have to pass my mouse over it to clear the caracters.

It does that in my Hotmail inbox, my bank account web sites,...
It started to do that about a year of 2 ago. So I started to use Chrome instead. This morning I'm using Firefox because I saw they upgraded and I thought it would not do that again, but the problem is the same.
I open a website la my Hotmail account. The caracters are clear at this moment. Then, I scroll down, and I cannot read some lines of caracters. And it seems like the problem is sporadic. I added NoSquint, and the problem is the same.

• Pb caracters in pdf with JRC 12.2

Hi !
We use last JRC (12.2.200.454) to generate pdf on MVS Websphere from reports create with Crystal Reports 11.0.0.1282.
We placed the fonts in lib/fonts directory of the Java JRE (Times news roman, wingdings ...) but still have problem with some accents and some caracters of Wingdings :
- arrow visible in pdf but not printed (code 0xD8)
- é, à and É that become invisibles in pdf in some place
Have you any idea to correct this ?
Thanks

I found the problem :
in one formule, there is something like this :
(If Trim({R_Attestation.dest_adr1})="" Then "" Else Trim({R_Attestation.dest_adr1}) + chr(13) + chr(10)) +
(If Trim({R_Attestation.dest_adr2})="" Then "" Else Trim({R_Attestation.dest_adr2}) + chr(13) + chr(10)) +
(If Trim({R_Attestation.dest_adr3})="" Then "" Else Trim({R_Attestation.dest_adr3}) + chr(13) + chr(10)) +
(If Trim({R_Attestation.dest_adr4})="" Then "" Else Trim({R_Attestation.dest_adr4}) + chr(13) + chr(10)) +
{R_Attestation.dest_postCode} + " " + Trim({R_Attestation.dest_ville})
the chr(13) and chr(10) are not compatible with MVS and create problem other accent.

try
java.lang.String[] getParameterValues(java.lang.String name) which is a method from ServletRequest interface. You can use this with a for loop.
String[] arrayParameter = request.getParameterValues("ParameterName");

in the server of the client its not the same, with forms builder and naturaly after the execution on a web browser, the results ; ???? in all my labels and buttons!!
for youre last question, i dont see what can i add to give more details to my problem, if you have some specif questions...welcome
