FM/ Bapi for hierarchy classification

Hi
I am looking for FM/ Bapi for reading values of hierarchy classification.
I tried BAPI_OBJCL_GETDETAIL, however the bapi read only the value of the high level
of the class and not all the hierarchy values.
Any idea how to read all the hierarchy values ?

Try looking at the following: BAPI_BUPA_FRG0040_CREATE
Note that if you already have maintained Sales Classifications then you'll have to use the _CHANGE version.
It has the importing structure of type BAPIBUS1006040_SALESCLASS and so you could for example populate it's fields as shown below and using the structure when calling the above BAPI:

Hi,
The relavant BAPI is BAPI_OBJCL_CREATE.
You can read the characteristics by using BAPI: BAPI_OBJCL_GETDETAIL
Plz check other BAPIs in FuGr: CLBPA which might help you. You can find FM Documentation for most of the BAPIs in this FuGr.
If this is a one time load, I suggest you to take up this task by LSMW:

Hi,
what do you mean with details? Do you need the fields? You can do a double click on the data type of the details filled for browsing deeper into the structure of the details. Or you can use TCODE SE11 and check the type in the data dictionary.

BAPI for Creation of inspection lot

I have two scenario:-
1.Can any body help to find BAPI for creation of Inspection lot for the material under PO envisaged for PDI.
2. Can any body find me a BAPI or FM which can creates inspection lot in QALS table without inspection lot origin under 01 i.e. 0101 or Z01SI01.
My objective is to creation inspection lot without assigning Inspection type of Z01SI01 or Z01SI02 and so on in the material code under a respective Plant 1004 or 1005 0r 1006 so on.
In my Z Development for creation of inspection lot BDC is run for QA01 as this code created inspection lot on when material code has inspection type Z01SI01 i.e. location of source inspection and vendr code particular classification under 010 vendor class inspection type Z01SI01. System search both the inspection type for both material and vendor then create inspection lot in QALS table by assiging inspection matching inspection on the lot.
I want to get rid of assignment of inspection on the materilal. If any BAPI or FM is avalable for creation of inspection without assigning inspection type on material code. I want to create inspection lot in which Inpsection type assignment can be done based on vendor class only.

you can use the BAPI to BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA create as well as to change material master.
When changing material master data, you need enter only the material
number.
In the header data, you must select at least one view for which data is
to be created. Depending on the view selected, you must maintain other
required parameters. If you do not enter values for all of the required
parameters, the method is ended with an error message.
The corresponding fields in the tables (such as CLIENTDATA) must first
be supplied with data by the calling program. An indicator must also be
set for each of these fields so that the data is written to the database
by the method. This requires the calling program to supply the
corresponding field with the indicator in a checkbox table (for example,
CLIENTDATAX). Checkbox tables exist for tables that do not contain any
language-dependent texts (MAKT, MLTX), International Article Numbers
(MEAN), or tax classifications (MLAN). Several data records for a
material can be created in these tables.

In VK11 we have a key combination radio button called Country/ Destination Ctr./Plant/TaxClCust/TaxClMat.
I think it might be a custom key combination (so you might have to create a siliar one for yourself), but basically all I had to enter there was Country = GB, Destination Coutry = GB, plant SORG1 (it's called the same as the sales org and is linked 1-1), tax classification on Customer = 2 (because I want the central setting on the customer to be 2 = ICO, no tax), tax classification on material 1 = full tax goods and enter relevat tax code.

BDC for IE02 Classification Fields

Hi,
I am trying to create BDC for IE02 Equipment change for its Classification fields based on equipment object type.
When i create BDC with IE02 and when i go to the transaction and then Eq Specific TAB the fields become display only and i couldn't enter data.How to record BDC for Eq specific TAB in IE02?
Is that good to update the classification data for IE02 directly with "BAPI_OBJCL_CHANGE". The number of classification fields for each equipment type differs how can that be handled?

hi Arun,
Did you try changing the equipment using BAPI_EQUI_CHANGE ? There is a structure called DATA_SPECIFIC which is specific for Equipment related data.
For classification related changes, look at the FM's available in transaction BAPI

Basics for Batch Classification Data

Hello Experts ,
I have few queries for Batch Classification Data .
1. Which are the tables where Batch Classification Data for the batches is stored .
2.Which Function module is called once we do the Goods movement which determines the batch
classification data .
3.When we do stock transfer for batches , then the Batch classification will run in Issuing plant and
the batch classi. data will be copied in the receiving plant . Can you please tell me that which object
carries this data from issuing plant to receiving plant.
4.There is also a user exit with which we can play with Batch classification , can you please give some information on this .

1. The table is AUSP - but why would you need to know that. There are good function modules to query, read, change classifications of batches - so why would you like to read directly from DB?
2. This depends on your release. Typicall in MIGO the module VB_CREATE_BATCH is called, the same one that is called within the BAPI to create batches.
3. See 2. When you create a batch with reference, you call the same module additionally with the key of the reference batch (this is the issueing batch).
Inside that module are loads of user exits for all kind of purposes.
Why not have a look yourself in Customizing at Logistics General -> Batch Management -> Batch Valuation.
There's the "customer exits for goods movements in inventory management" (this is called e.g. in the goodsmovement bapi and the old transactions) --> EXIT_SAPMM07M_004
and the "Valuation of Creation of New Batches Using Function Module" (this is called in the MSCxN and in MIGO) --> EXIT_SAPLV01Z_014 .
In Customizing there's also the documentation what you can achieve with the exits.

I am uploading the data(characteristic values) through the Tcode MSC2N When I am trying to do this through bdc it's not allowing to change characteristic values?What will be the problem?we can use the BAPI BAPI_OBJCL_CHANGE but this bapi will only change the characteristic values but I also need to change date1 field(this is there in the Basic data2in the same transaction MSC2N) Can any body suggest how to do this please?

BAPI for CL24N trnsaction

Hi,
I have to change the value of a particular Release Strategy class character in the CL24N transaction. as it is an enjoy transaction i cannot proceed with BDC and CL24 transaction is outdated. so i need a BAPI through which i can change the value. i have tried using BAPI_OBJCL_CHANGE_KEY entering all the data in it but the only problem i am facing in this is that i am not able to understand what is the CLOBJECTKEY value that i have to enter because i am not using any material number, i am changing the value of a release strategy class character value.
i need any other BAPI for this requirement or else if any one can say what is the value that i have to pass in the CLOBJECTKEY field of the FM.
