FM errors for certain tasks after restoring application

Hi All,
We had to move our Oracle database to a new server due to memory issues.
We took an export of the HFM tablespace and restored in into the newly created tablespace.
The HFM app works fine except for some features:
1 - Under Workspaces, when opening a document we get: "The specified security call does not exist. Error reference number: {AE3F0A36-427D-407B-...};Username: admin@native Directory <BR>Num: 0x8004021c etc...
2 - Under Tasks\Administration\ Task Audit we get: The User ID was not found.
All other features appear to work correctly. We are on System 9.2.
Does anyone know why only certain features dont seem to work? I have tried re-registering the app to no avail.

Sounds like some things gone wrong/out of sync with your HSV_Activity tables.
One possibility in the case of Task Audit Error:
The appname_TASK_AUDIT table contains the field ActivityUserID. When you call the Audit Log the ActivityUserID is matched to the user name in the HSV_ACTIVITY_USERS table, If there are IDs existing in the Audit log that do not match or have changed in the USERS table then you will get a similar error. So If the old db does not get the same problem maybe a check of the tables contents would be in order.
So I would start by generating the error User ID was not found and clicking on more details, that will probably give you the userid that has the problem. Then you could check the Audit log and match the user ID thats displayed in the error message to the user id that is listed in the HSV_ACTIVITY_USERS table.
The Workspace error is probably related.
Depending on what you find you may need to check all your moved tables are valid and that all data was moved.

    I work for a school and we handed out several ipad 2 ,3 and airs over the years. It has come to my attention that I cannot go into recovery mode and restore an ipad any longer with out it asking for an apple id after restored. The problem is that several if not all are asking for staffs own apple ids. Is their a way to change this or can apple change this for me. Our school has purchased all of these from apple. The other big question is how did their ID become paired up with that ipad?

    It sounds like iPads that have been restored are prompting for the previous user's Apple ID. This feature is called Activation Lock, and occurs when the user has signed in to the device with their iCloud account and turned on Find my iPhone:
    With iOS 7 or later, Find My iPhone includes a feature called Activation Lock, which is turned on automatically when you set up Find My iPhone. Activation Lock makes it harder for anyone to use or sell your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch if it’s ever lost or stolen.
    With Activation Lock, your Apple ID and password are required before anyone can:
    Turn off Find My iPhone on your device
    Sign out of iCloud on your device
    Erase and reactivate your device

    If the user is not available to enter their information into the device, they can remove it from their iCloud account by following these steps:
    Contact the previous owner and ask them to follow these steps to remove the device from their account:
    Sign in to their iCloud account at www.icloud.com/find.
    Click All Devices to open a list of devices linked to their account, then select the device to be removed. It should show a gray dot or the word “Offline” next to the device name.
    Click "Remove from Account" to remove the device from their account.
    After the device is removed from the previous owner’s account, turn the device off by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button located on the top-right side of the device. Then restart your device and proceed with device setup as you would normally.

  • Which solution is better for schedules task? Console application or windows service?

    I have a "MULTI-LEVEL" XML file that I will be getting on daily basis and I want to accomplish following tasks:
    1) I have to read and parse the "MULTI-LEVEL" XML data
    2) Then I have to set or create some kind of .net service (c#) that read the xml and parse the data once a day (daily)?
    3) Now I have SOAP service from other software where I want to feed this XML data to. The schedules service will compare the XML data with software data and update (or add) based on the comparision.
    For this task, I come to conclusion that there are 2 best ways to do this:
    1) Create a console application and use windows task scheduler to run it everyday
    2) Create a windows service that runs in the background
    Which is a better way (or reliable)  solution to do this task? Please advise

    There are several things to keep in mind when writing an app that is designed to run without a user logged in. One of the most common mistakes is requiring some sort of user input.  Since the task will run without user intervention you don't want
    any sort of calls to Console.ReadLine, MessageBox.Show, etc.  They will cause the task to freeze and eventually need to be terminated.  You also don't want to rely on any sort of desktop apps running since a user may or may not be logged on at the
    time.
    Also be aware that a task can be scheduled to run under any user context.  As such you either need to ensure it runs under an account with sufficient privileges or that your app needs no special privileges.  You mentioned you tried to run it from
    bin\debug but you most likely have your project under your Documents directory.  Only you would have permissions to that folder and therefore will run into issues if the task is run under a different context.  You also mentioned you put it in the
    C:\ but users don't have write privileges to that folder and therefore if you tried to write a file out it would fail. If you need to read/write files then you should pick a common location that all users have access to or at least the one that will run the
    scheduled task. Be aware that, by default, Task Scheduler will not run a task elevated. You need to check the option to run elevated when you configure the user to run the task under.
    One of the key things to ensure you do with a task is verify it is working properly as a normal app.  You should also ensure that you have good logging so that if it does fail you can trace down the failure more easily.  One common thing that people
    tend to do in console apps is put a try-catch around the main function and display a message if an unhandled exception occurs. This is going to cause problems in a task.  Simply log the exception and rethrow it so Task Scheduler will flag the run as a
    failure.
    If you still cannot figure out why your task is failing then please add some logging and then tell us what code is being run at the time and what the failure is.

  • 401 Error for all files after CF8 install?

    After I install coldfusion 8 on windows server 2008 with IIS7, I get a 401 "Unauthorized user" error for every page, regardless of whether its a CFM page or not. When I uninstall CF8 the error goes away. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a resolution?

    I was getting the same "-36" error while trying to backup to a Lacie firewire external drive.
    I had a lot of people telling me to re-format, erase, reinstall, run utility programs ... yada, yada, yada.
    First off, test to see if it is the connection type (firewire). I reconnected the offending external drive via USB, restarted the drive and ... BINGO! ... all transfers went perfectly.
    Once i knew it was the firewire connection and not the drive itself i simply unplugged my iSight camera (the only other firewire device connected to my machine), reconnected my external drive via firewire and the problem is now corrected.
    Firewire buses seem to be very finicky things ... i would suggest eliminating all firewire devices from the machine (except, of course, the external drive you're trying to transfer to) and see if the problem goes away.
    Like i said, i simply unplugged my iSight camera and the transfer to my external drive went perfect and my transfer rates went from an average of 4MB/sec to over 19MB/sec.
    P.S. BTW - prior to the error and after i corrected the error by unplugging the iSight camera, my internal and external drives all checked out 100% on Disk Utility, Disk Warrior and TechTool Pro.

  • Itunes not syncing for carrier settings after restore.

    yesterday i have restored my factory unlocked iphone4 with 4.3.3, after restore itunes is not showing up connecting store for carrier settings and directely starting syncing for contacts,mail etc.. any help is aprreciated

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost      
    Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync/delete all music and resync
    To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
    - Reset all settings                            
    Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
    All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:                                               
    iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.                       

  • Error in Check DB after RESTORE and RECOVER

    Hi Team,
    System was partially restored and recovered due hardware failure.
    We had 3 file systems that had to be restored and in one of them we has "/oracle/BWP/sapdata8/temp_2/temp.data2" data file.
    After the restore and recovery , the system was up.When ran check DB , the get the below error message and when i checked in DB02 , everytime when trying to see the datafile inside PSAPTEMP , there is a short dump with the same error message listed below.
    Database error text........: "ORA-01157: cannot identify/lock data file 256 -
    see DBWR trace file#ORA-01110: data file 256:
    '/oracle/BWP/sapdata8/temp_2/temp.data2'"
    When checked the restore , looks like "oracle/BWP/sapdata8/temp_2/temp.data2'" was not restored.
    Kindly help to check how to correct this error. Even my online backup's are failing.

    how did you restore your database?
    The temporary files are not included in a backup, because they are not needed for a recovery - that works as designed.
    After the recovery you have to add these files again.
    If you would have used brrecover for restoring/recovering your database the temporary files would be added automatically.

    Now you have to do this manually like this:
    shell> sqlplus / as sysdba

  • Errors in Virtual interface after editing application service

    Hi all,
    I have an external service in CAF which connects to the backend to an RFC.
    This external service is being used by an application service.
    I recently added an extra import parameter to the RFC in the backend. So in CAF I deleted my old external service and imported the
    RFC again with the correct import parameters.
    In the Application Service I added an extra import parameter to the input node of the corresponding operations in which the external service is being used. And I inserted a line of code to fill in the correct value in the import parameter.
    After doing this and saving the CAF project a lot of errors are being generated in the ejbmodule of the caf project. (in the Virtual Interface files <servicename>.videf)
    Errors like:
    Type com.spe.portal.foa_serv.appsrv.datatypes.AddressDS of field addressDS0 in type com.spe.portal.foa_serv.appsrv.datatypes.BPartnerLightDS_R has been exchanged by type com.spe.portal.foa_serv.appsrv.datatypes.AddressDS_R
    These errors even occur in the VIs of the services that I didn't change.
    Can somebody tell me what the Virtual interface is for and why they are throwing these errors,

    Hi Wouter,
    A virtual interface ia actuallly a xml-file with a description of all the operations and fields of de webservice.
    To solve your problems: go to the navigator view, select the <CAFname>EJB project, navigate to the <servicename> folder under the ejbModule folder.
    Open the wsdef file with the WSD editor and push the button Edit VI....
    Remove the operations under <servicename>Bean and add them again using the buttons below the pane.
    Save and rebuild your work and everything should be ok.

    We have one Production Issue like suddenly the an Application Fiji while should be running was stopped. When i tried to restart it its showing Error.

    But i also saw this error before but the application use to start automatically but this time it did not.

    Hi,
    As i mentioned above its only for one Application Fiji. For a temporary Solution we tried to restart the Hyperion Services. But this did not work. One of the the Hyperion Service HyPService(not sure of the exact name). did not restart. So we have done a a fail over to other node and now the Fiji apps is running. But i don't think so what we have done is the correct fix for the solution. Have any one faced this problem.

  • IPhone 4: lost contacts!  Restore from Backup only works for 30 seconds after restore job, then contacts disappear!

    The last time I backed my phone up, my contacts disappeard.  So I went back in and "restored from backup."   When the restore job finished, I opened up my "recent calls" and the names of my recent callers appeared for about 30 seconds and then they turned back into phone numbers.  No contacts appear in my contact list. 
    I called apple-care and all they're interested in is trying to get me to give them money. 
    I tried free support from this website but the person on the other end was clueless...utterly clueless....did not even understand what I meant when I uttered the phrase "restore from backup."  I had to take him through the process I had just gone through step by painstaking step, and all he could do was ask me why I didn't have my contacts.
    Is there anyone here whocan help with this? 
    PLEASE...help me.

    You are absolutely correct, they are very much apart of the backup.  I lost all my contacts and did the same thing as you, restored a previous backup.  Upon completion of the restore, all my contacts were there.  Like you, after 30 seconds, mine too erased.  I tried to mess with iCloud with no luck, after re-establishing connection with either wi-fi or cellular, my contacts erased.
    I tried several times and was able to finally get my contacts copied over from the restore, here is how but only works if you have the restore available with the contacts still present.
    1. Restore from the previous backup (you must watch your phone because you have to be ready for the next step)
    2. When your phone restarts, immediately place your phone in "airplane mode" to stop it from connecting to the cloud and wiping away your contacts.  (Your contacts will remain until airplane mode is turned off)
    3. Within iTunes, search for and download "My Contacts Backup" which is FREE and does not need to connect to the Internet to work.
    4. Within iTunes, under the iPhone, navigate to the App's tab and find "My Contacts Backup" and click the install button to have it installed onto your phone.
    5. After installed, run the "My Contacts Backup" and follow the prompts.  Do not change any settings, they are already properly set up.  After it copies all the contacts, it is ready to e-mail out.  Email them to an address you can get on your phone.
    6. Turn off airplane mode (this will delete the contacts as said above but we have a backup.)
    7. Open the e-mail and click on the attachment.  Follow the short steps and all your contacts will re-populate.
    If you are like me, this fix also took care of my iMac and iPad contacts.  I have all 400 contacts back.  I hope this helps if you haven't found a fix or anyone that finds this page in the future.  While trying to fix this, I stumbled across software that was over $100.00 to fix this problem.  This is the free way

    there <b>must</b> be some more information about the error (and the error itself) in either the knldiag, knldiag.old or knldiag.err
    Additionally, please check both the dbm.prt and dbm.utl files for any additional error output (by comparing the timestamps) and post it here.

  • Can't redownload certain apps after restoring to an iPad Air

    I recently backed up my iPad2 and restored to a new iPad Air. Certain apps did not come across (HBO Go, The Walking Dead, Files Pro are some of them). When I find them on the app store, there is no icon visible to re-download them.

    More info: After I restored, I did a sync to get the apps copied to the iPad Air. Most of the apps came across just fine. The ones that didn't now show up in the updates section of the store as having available updates, but there is no button next to them to install the update. Finding them in the store itself also shows there is no button to download them.  The complete list of missing Apps is:
    HBO Go
    Files Pro
    Crackle
    Watch TNT
    Walking Dead

    I have solved my own problem !
    If you go to the security serttings under your windows/outlook settings page and TURN OFF 2 step verification then you can login using your normail hotmail password.
    If you have 2 step verification switched on, your IPAD cannot prompt you for a security code so it gets "stuck" I guess. Once I turned this off, I was able to add my hotmail back to the IPAD .... HOORAY

  • How do I install a foxit button on my tool bar? I recently upgraded to the latest version, but my tool bar does not contain a firefox button which is need for certain tasks, such as private browsing.

    I had an existing laters 3 point whatever version of Firefox and recently upgraded to Firefox 10. This new version still has the old toolbar across the top, but there is no "Firefox button" which one has to use to activate certain action such as "private browsing." Is there anyway I can install the button on the toolbar, or is there a way to change to the new version 10 interface which includes the Firefox Button. I would prefer the former (the old configuration with the tool bar on top, but if that cannot be done, how to I migrate to the new configuration which apparently puts the tools on the side, if I'm not mistaken.

    If you have the old fashioned toolbar, you can still go into Private browsing by clicking Tools, then "Start Private Browsing". All the options that are in the Firefox button are in the old style toolbar, just maybe a little more hidden.
    To enable te Firefox button, go into View, then Toolbars, then uncheck "Menu Bar". You should have the Firefox button.
