FM to read yellow status requests from transactional InfoCube

Hi,
I am using the FM RSDRI_INFOPROV_READ to read data from the transactional InfoCube. My problem is that my code using this FM should be able to read data requests that have the yellow status for the transactional InfoCube.
My code using this FM is able to read data from the green requests only but not the yellow requests. I was told in BPS, the yellow requests should turn green automatically after 50K of records have been queue up and ready to be turned green by itself.
Has anyone come across this and help me solve this issue of reading data using FM RSDRI_INFOPROV_READ to read yellow request data. Is there another FM to read both the green and yellow requests?
Please advise. Thanks
RT

Hi Rob,
The function module mentioned by you is correct and it will read the yellow requests please try this, by default the parameter i_rollup_only is set as true set it to false (blank) while calling the function module.
Please see the attached code

  • Delete a particular request from a InfoCube  after compression  in sap bi 7

    HI ,
Issue : I wand to delete a particular request from a InfoCube  after compression  in sap bi 7.0 ; (not in sap bow 3.x).
can any one suggests me how to do .give me possible solutions.
    Regards,
    EdK...

    Hi,
You can delete the perticular request from Infocube by useing'RSICCONT'.
Goto SE16, give the 'RSICCONT' then Select your Cube and Select Execuite.
It will display the list of requests. you can select the perticular request and deleted from cube.

  • Quetsion about loading data from transactional infocube

    Hi,
We have 4 transaction infocubes where the users data will be saved from their layouts and we have one more transaction infocube(A) where all these 4 transactionl data will saved to onecube say(A)
We also load from A- to other basic cube(B).
    My questions are when
1.I load from All these 4 trnsactional cube to A - Do I need to say transactional can be planned not loading allowed.
2.When I load from A to b(basic cuvbe do I need to say - Planning cannot be allowed only laoding)
    Let me know
    Thanks

If you want to load data from planning cubes to further data target using update rules or transformation, their requests need to be green (yellow request would not load further). In this case the target transactional cube should be in loading mode. If you do not want to do these things, you can look at using a copy planning function (but remember that planning function takes more time than BW loading - this difference would be really noticeable if the data volume is large).
There are many threads on this topic - if you search, you can get more info.

  • BW 7.0 Automatic Deletion of Similar/Identical Requests from the InfoCube

    Hi experts,
In BW 3.5 we have used a feature in a InfoPackage, where you can delete an u201Coldu201D loading, u201CAutomatic Deletion of Similar/Identical Requests from the InfoCubeu201D.
Now we are building a flow in our upgraded system and we can see that this opportunity is available in the InfoPackage to the PSA, when you load data from the source system (ERP) to the BW system but we would like to make this when we load an InfoCube some layers up (see exemple below; InfoCube2)
    Source System  -> PSA  -> InfoCube1  -> InfoCube2
Anyone know if it is possible or if there is anything else you can do?
    Regards,
    Kerstin

in bi7 the load to the datatarget is done using dtp. the infopackage goes only to the psa. in order to achieve the same you need to use the process step in the process chain. you need of course to create a correct variant, but here you'll have the same options as you had before in the earlier version.

  • Delete Full Requests from an InfoCube with a BIA index on it

    Hello all
I need to delete certain random Full requests from a cube which has both DB indexd and BIA index on it?
What will be the steps i should be following in regards to deleting/ rebuilding indexes ?
    Regards
    Sanjyot

Thanks Vitaliy but I have multiple requests with huge amount of data to be deleted.
So I was wondering if the following steps are correct
    1. delete DB indices
    2. delete BIA indices
    3. delete requests from cube
    4. rebuild DB indices
    5. rebuild BIA indices
Are there any steps to ensure that indices are rebuilt correctly?
    Regards
    Sanjyot

  • Deleted requests from a infocube remain in F table

I used the manage tab of the infocube to delete seleted requests. The request are no longer visible, but the data for them remains in the F table.
    how can i reconcile this?

    Richard,
Good thing you posted the basis person's comment. Your next steps are not going to be easy. What you have to do is selective deletion. Find out the remaining request numbers. Try to determine the request numbers you tried to delete.
It looks like the DB is not able to delete large chunks of data. So, you have to put request number and anything else (say, company code) and begin deleting data in smaller chunks.
As things get better (and there is more room for DB), you can try deleting individual requests - still using selective deletion.
    Good luck!

  • Virtual Infoprovider with Transactional Infocube datasource??

    Hi Gurus,
I need to use Virtual Infoprovider which is reading data from a Transactional infocube.
Virtual Infoprovider does not read yellow request in transactional cube. Is there a way to read this yellow request too? When I display transactional cube content I can see records which belong to yellow request. Virtual Infoprovider should see these records too I think.
We cannot change yellow state to green because business is continuously entering data to transactional cube.
    Thanks in advance,
    ergin

    Hi,
refer this link for details about how to read yellow requests or change to green.

  • Weblogic 6.0 : Server hangs while reading a https request

    Hi,
I'm running WLS6.0 on Win2000. The server hangs for some requests sent over https,
unless it times out. It seems that the server is not able to read the complete request
from the socket. It somehow thinks that there is more data available and keeps on
    waiting. Is this a bug?
Also, it works fine if i change the url from a https to a http one. So, is this
related to SSL implementation of weblogic?
Has any of faced a similar problem? Thanks in advance for any ideas/thoughts on this
    problem,
    Thakur.

    Hi,
I'm running WLS6.0 on Win2000.
Thanks in advance for any ideas/thoughts on this
    problem,
    Thakur.

The module "RSAPO_CLOSE_TRANS_REQUEST" change all the request in yellow of all the infocubes of the sistem.
Anybody know a similar program on which we can enter a variant to select only one infocube?
    Thanks.

    SAP NetWeaver BI 7.0/SP 15
In this new realise the program RSAPO_CLOSE_TRANS_REQUEST does not exists, and we have to use RSAPO_CLOSE_TRANS_REQUEST_ALL3.
When we include this program in a ABAP routine into a chain process, we can't introduce a variant.
And when we execute the chain without variant in the Abap process, it suppose that all the yellow request into all of the cubes of the system became green, but this is not that happends. The yellow request of our cube is still yellow.
    Thank you in advance.

  • How to delete a noncompress request from the aggregates

    hello gurus
i have a request in an infocube, which is not compressed in the cube. i rolled up the request, so that the data will  be moved to the aggregate. is it? then i found that the data is inconsistant. so i delete the request from the infocube manage scree, under the request tab. now my question is whether the data will be deleted from the aggregate or not?
    thanks in advance
    rams.

If the Request has not been compressed in teh cube or the aggregate, you should simply be able to delete the Request form the Cube and it will be automatically deleted form teh Aggregate.  Since it has NOT been compressed in the aggregate, it should be a very quick process - no need to deactivate the aggregate.
If it has been compressed in the aggregate, but not the InfoCube, you should still be able to delete the Request form the InfoCube, but the BW will have to refill the aggregate.  It should do this on it's own, but at differnt sopport packs, I had some problems with that always working.  As others have mentioned, in this case you could always deactivate the aggregate, the delete the Request from the InfoCube.
As yo ureview this situation, you should consider how often you have/might have a problem like this.  If it occurs very often, then you should have your aggregate(s) for this cube setup so they do NOT automatically compress after Rollup.  Instead the Requests in the aggrgate will only be compressed when the Request in the InfoCube is compressed.

  • May i know how to create Transactional Infocube, Data from cube to cube

    Hi All,
I need to create a Transactional Infocube. Can anyone help me how to create that. and how it differs from Basic cube while creating Transactional Infocube.
My other question is how to load data from one cube to another.( is it possible from basic to transactional )
    It's urgent.
    regards,
    Ali

    Hi Ali,
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sem60ep1/helpdata/en/7b/a90e78d10311d4b3490050dadfb23f/frameset.htm
Transactional InfoCubes differ from Basic InfoCubes in their ability to support parallel write accesses. Basic InfoCubes are technically optimized for read accesses .
    Use
Transactional InfoCubes are used in connection with the entry of planning data. See also Overview of Planning with BW-BPS. The data from this kind of InfoCube is accessed transactionally, meaning data is written to the InfoCube (possibly by several users at the same time). Basic InfoCubes are not suitable for this. You should use Basic InfoCubes for read-only access (for example, when reading reference data).
transactional infocubes can be filled with data using two different methods: using the transaction of BW-BPS to enter planning data and using BW staging, whereas planning data then cannot be loaded simultaneously.
Anyway, the data from this kind of infocube is accessed transactionally, meaning data is written to the infocube (possibly by several users at the same time); basic infocubes are not suitable for this. I think this is the only proper use of this type of cube...
We have an option to switch the Tranasaction cube such as "Loding allowed and Planning not allowed" and "Planning allowed and loading not allowed".

  • Deleting Request from cube based on Selection Condition

    HI All,
I have a scenario where i have three selection condition while i update from ODS to CUBE . I keep getting differnet versions of the file so the latest version should replace the old version , to do this i tired using the option
Delte Request from Info Cube after Update in the Data Tagets tab
And the Radio button Overlapping is checked  . ( This is not working )
The three selection conditions in Info Pacake are
Reduest id from ODS : 11111
    Cal Month                 : 20072
    File Type                   : B
The selecion condition for the second Version in Info Pacake of the same file that should replace the first file in cube is
Reduest id from ODS : 22222  ( The request id is RID in the ODS for second file )
    Cal Month                 : 20072
    File Type                   : B
so can any one let me know how can i achvie this ........

    Hi Abraham,
You select the variable deletion conditions when you schedule the InfoPackage that is going to load the new data. On the Data Targets tab page in the Automatic Deletion of Similar/Same Requests from InfoCube column, you click on the pushbutton to go to the Deletion of Requests from the InfoCube After Update dialog box.
Here you determine under which conditions existing requests are deleted from the InfoCube:
    ·        You can include update modes, InfoSources, DataSources, and source systems for requests.
    Example
Requests are deleted when the appropriate deletion conditions are met if existing requests and new ones were loaded from the same DataSource.
    ·        You can determine whether the selections for the new request need to be the same as or more comprehensive than the selections of the request that is to be deleted, or whether the selections for the new request need to completely or partially overlap the selections of the request that is to be deleted.
    ·        You can specify deletion restrictions according to date. This means that, when the deletion conditions are met, only those requests that were loaded within a specific time period are actually deleted.
    Example
If you choose Data for the Request from the Last Seven Days, only those requests are deleted that have been loaded in the last seven days.
    ·        You can specify situations in which a request is not to be deleted, even if the appropriate deletion conditions are in place.
    Example
If, under Exceptions, you choose the Today is …the Last Day of a Month, existing requests are not deleted, if the new request is loaded on the last day of a month.
    ·        Another option for determining deletion conditions is creating a user routine for the InfoPackage and the InfoCube.  In this routine you can exclude requests from a deletion process or include additional requests for deletion.
Check conditions again, it will work, if selection and data source is same.
    Hope it Helps

  • Message_type_x short dump while deleting request from infocube

    Hi,
While deleting one of the erroneous requests from some infocubes,
system is resulting in short dump "MESSAGE_TYPE_X".
This is happening only with respect to some infocubes.
    Description of short dump:
    Short text of error message:
System error in program RSMDATASTATE and form RSM_DATASTATE_CHECK-5- (see long text)
Can any one of you please help with this?
    Regards,
    Nilima Rodrigues

    Hi NILIMA,
I got same problem with my InfoPackage  last month with same error msg.
that error come due to data inconstancy in data base table.
in my case i am unable to open my InfoPackage  and after double clicking it was giving dump with same error.
If u know abap then just change the sy-subrc value from 4 to 0 before dump line code it will resolve your problem.
for this on dump screen click on debugger button then it opens your code and shows line on which u getting dump with table name check your entry in table ok
if u unable u find table then do one thing just put break point before dump line and open fresh rsa1 and go to same cube and double click it will stop on your debugger point just press f5 button it shos sy-subrc 4 convert it to 0 and press edit button and press f8 .

  • Automatic loading of similar/identical request from infocube

    Dear all,
Any one can give the description of <b>Automatic loading of similar/identical request from infocube]</b>.please
    Thanks
    Rave

    Hi,
    From help.sap
<u>Automatic Deletion of Requests from the InfoCube when Loading</u>
To ensure that the data that is going to be loaded with an InfoPackage is available only once in an InfoCube, you can delete from the InfoCube any existing requests that have partially overlapping or similar selection conditions and relevant deletion selections.
After loading new data into the InfoCube, the InfoCube contents are checked using the selection conditions for an InfoSource/DataSource/source system combination, to see if overlapping data has been loaded into the InfoCube. The data that has been loaded into the InfoCube is not analyzed rather the selection conditions for the InfoObjects that you determined in the Scheduler are compared.
<b>With this function the dataset in BW is reduced to the size necessary for analysis, and redundancies are avoided.</b>
