PCUI: Follow-up activity

Hi,
SAP CRM 5.0, PCUI: In SAP GUI the follow-up document functionality works just fine. But in PCUI it is not possible to create a follow-up activity. Whenever I try to create a follow-up activity nothing happens and the screen greys out.

thanks for your prompt answer. I´m not quite sure, if I understand you right.
This is what I understand I was supposed to do:
1) Transaction SU01: First of all, I have to assign one of the SAP standard roles SAP_PCC_SALES_REP or SAP_PCC_SALES_MANAGER to my CRM user.
2) In SAP EP I have to assign the same roles SAP_PCC_SALES_REP or SAP_PCC_SALES_MANAGER to my Portal user.
Is there anything else that needs to be done to create follow-up activities in PCUI?

Yes, this is it.
I tested only three cases before:
- not allocating any channel
- allocating local channel only
- allocating auxiliary channel only
I need to allocate both channels in the run block, then it works.

Does SAP Netweaver Mobile support integration with devices like Intermec?

Hi All,
We have a scenario where the customer is currently using SAP Console based approach for RF transaction related requirement. The device used is Intermec CK31 for barcode scanning and updating the data in the SAP backend. Some example scenarios are Goods Issue & Scrap. Since the SAP Console based approach does not support Offline mode, the customer is interested in evaluating the option of using SAP Netweaver Mobile for the solution.
Related to this requirement, we have the following queries.
1) Does SAP Netweaver Mobile support Intermec CK31 device without a product like Mobile Factory. What are the pros and cons in this approach of using SAP Netweaver Mobile only? If yes, are there any documentation how this can be accomplished?
2) Are there simulators for Intermec scanning devices like Intermec CK31 to be used while application development?
3) Can Mobile Factory be used for implementing this requirement? Can it support offline scenarios without SAP Netweaver Mobile? Does Mobile Factory provide Simulators for the devices such as Intermec CK31 for application development?
An early response would be greatly appreciated as we are in the process of evaluating a right approach for the customeru2019s requirement and the same needs to be provided soon.

Hi,
Refer to note 1057759 for the delivered Drivers for Peripherals and devices supported in SAP DOE. This lists all the supported barcode scanners for SAP Netweaver Mobile. Those derivers are certified after testing to work only with that device and OS configuration.

Change the transaction status when creating a follow up activity

Hello All
We need to change the activity status if a follow up document is created from. E.g. If an activity is created type 001 then a follow-up activity type 003 as a follow up document from 001 the system automatically changes the activity status from open to in process. I need detailed steps regarding how to reach this

See if you can "exploit" CRM_COPY_BADI and function modules CRM_STATUS_CHANGE_EXTERN to change the User status or CRM_STATUS_CHANGE_INTERN for System status.

Search for Follow-Up Activity in CIC Search Area

Hi CRM Experts,
I am new in CRM world, so in customizing(IMG) path: CRM --> Transactions --> Settings for Activities --> Mantain Categories, Goals and Priorities --> Mantain Categories, I created an entry for a new category called Survey.
In Tcode CIC0 I create a Follow up activity with category survey.
But when I execute Tcode CIC0, and in the search area I limit the search to the BP that logged the
call->find:Business activty->By:Category->Category:Survey->Valid from:01.01.2006->Valid to:31.12.2006
But no follow-up activity is found.
What am I doing wrong?
The search works fine if I create a normal Business activity with category Survey, but as soon as I create a Follow up activity with category survey, the searh area cannot locate the activity, it even fails to locate it by transaction number??
Can anyone help me?

   Firstly, my problem is not with upgrade and
   the second thing is before implementing the note 660016, I am able to see both in CRM GUI and Web
   UI all the business acitivities and tasks along with other transaction types as follow-up transactions.
   After implementing the note, I am not able to see only the business activities and tasks in the Web UI
   as follow-ups and in CRM GUI, its appearing as follow-ups.

   If this is not done in customization I need to code according to my scenario..
   When I kept a break point this class is triggering from another class.
   Do I need to code in the class CL_CRM_UIU_BT_ACT_CUST_GET, according to my scenario.
   Again I have a question here, will you please tell me in which component this class exists, so that I
   will enhance that component.
   Because when I debug after clicking on the Follow-Up button,this class is calling some where
   down...So I am unbale to get the right component for this.

Currently, the version of SAP NetWeaver that is J2SE 5.0 as well as Java EE 5 compatible is the [SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment (NW CE)|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/nw-ce]. It does not provide the "full" Portal capabilities, however it does come with a "Portal Lite" and supports Portal applications development scenarios.
