Follow-Up Transaction grayed out

Hello experts -
We are attempting to enable follow-up transactions in certain scenarios. The follow-up transaction in the Web UI is grayed out. Please advise where we can enable this feature. Does anyone have any good documentation to make this happen?
Thank you!
Jami

Hi,
You do not need the Activity Clipboard for follow-up transactions. Regarding setting up transactions for use in the Webclient: in SPRO --> CRM --> Transactions --> Basic Settings --> Define Transaction Types you need to select the transaction type you need to have as a follow up, then choose "Channel" in the left navigation and select the WebClient channel.
Another option you might be missing is that you need to set up copy control for the transaction types you want to use as a follow-up transaction.
In case your follow-up transaction is an activity, you also might want to check out whether you activated copy control for activities in SPRO --> CRM --> Transactions --> Settings for Activities. If that's the case you also need to customize copy control for activities.
Last but not least: the buttonfor follow-up will only be available after saving your current transaction without any errors.

  • Not able to create Follow up transaction since it has been grayed out

    Hi Experts,
We have a scenario where in we will create the Sales Transactions (OR) in ECC and then it will replicates to CRM.
In CRM we wants to create Returns Order (RE) as a follow up Transaction to OR (which is replicated from ECC to CRM) .
When I tried to create Returns Order (RE) in CRM as a follow up document to Sales Transaction (OR), the follow up Transaction CRM Returns (RE) has been grayed out. I mean it is in display mode only.
And then I created Sales Transaction (OR) in CRM itself and then I tried to create follow up Returns Transaction (RE) I was able to create.
But I am not able to Create Returns Order (RE) for the Sales Transactions (OR) that have been replicated from ECC to CRM.
Can anybody help me in resolving this issue. Any help ful answer will be rewarded with points.
    Thanks in advance,
    -Frederick Johnson.

    Hi Fredrick,
Please check, whether you have completed all the steps for Copying Control for Business Transactions in the following path in IMG:
SPRO->Customer Relationship Management->Transactions->Basic Settings->Copying Control for Business Transactions:
    - Define Copying Control for Transaction Types
In this step, you define the control for copying business transaction types.
To do this, you enter a source tranaction type and a target transaction type, and define the corresponding conditions for this combination.
    - Define Copying Control for Item Categories
In this step, you define the control for copying item categories.
To do so, you enter a source item category and a target item category, and define the corresponding conditions.
    - Define Item Category Determination when Copying
In this step, you define a specific item category determination which should be run during copying. The item category is used to find the target item category in the source transaction for the transaction type in the target transaction. This means that the transaction type for the source transaction is not relevant for the item category determination.
If the system cannot find an entry for the copying transaction in this table, the item category is found in the target transaction using the normal item category determination.
    This might help you

Make sure that your device is using the latest software. To do so, connect your device to your computer and check for updates in iTunes.
If you still can't turn Wi-Fi on, please contact Apple for support and service options. If you can turn Wi-Fi on but are experiencing other issues with Wi-Fi, please see these steps.

  • Delivery date grayed out in Purchase order change

    Hello,
We have a request to change the delivery date in the PO. While I tried to update the delivery date with the fast change, it did not update due to the delivery date field is grayed out. Please let me know how to enable this field so that I can change the delivery date. This field is available to edit or enter at the time of PO creation. Once I save the PO the field will be grayed (un editable). I checked the field selection and it is set up as optional entry. So, Please let me know if there is any other way to enable this field.
    Thanks,

    Hi Vansh,
Check whether 'delivery date' is an opt. entry in Selection group 'Deadline Monitoring' into costomization through path SPRO - Materials Management - Purchasing-Purchase Order - Define Screen Layout at Document Level for following field selections reference keys:
    1. AKTV (Activity key for change)
    2. ME22N (Transaction key)
If it is not an optional field in any of them then kindly maintain it as optional entry. It will resolve your problem.

  • /SAPAPO/OM_LC_DOWNLOAD_UPLOAD section C grayed out

I have recently completed an unicode conversion of our SCM 7.0 system. On the source I ran sections A and B, then did the unicode conversion. On the target I did a fresh install of liveCache and made it the same build. I followed the info in note 632357
I have then tried this process two ways, but the first way which I thought was what I needed to do caused many issues.
    The first process.
I used the commands below to get the parameters set in the target install the same as they were in the source.
    $ dbmcli -u control,#####  -d APT
    $ db_drop
    $ dbmcli db_create APT control,######
    $ dbmcli -u control,###### -d APT
    dbmcli on APT> medium_put APT_BACKUP /tmp/APTinst/APT.backup FILE DATA 0 8 YES
    dbmcli on APT> service_connect
    dbmcli on APT> recover_config APT_BACKUP
    dbmcli on APT> service_release
The parameters seemed to work, but the problem I had was trying to get the datafiles created. The source had 16 datafiles so I was trying to create the targets 16 datafiles. I ran the below command for that and it said ok, but never actually created them.
    dbmcli on APT> param_addvolume 1 DATA  /sapdb/APT/sapdata1/DISKD0001 F 262144
    dbmcli on APT> param_addvolume 2 DATA  /sapdb/APT/sapdata1/DISKD0002 F 262144

    dbmcli on APT> param_addvolume 10 DATA /sapdb/APT/sapdata1/DISKD0010 F 262144
    dbmcli on APT> param_addvolume 11 DATA /sapdb/APT/sapdata1/DISKD0011 F 262144
    dbmcli on APT> param_addvolume 12 DATA /sapdb/APT/sapdata1/DISKD0012 F 262144
    dbmcli on APT> param_addvolume 13 DATA /sapdb/APT/sapdata1/DISKD0013 F 262144
    dbmcli on APT> param_addvolume 14 DATA /sapdb/APT/sapdata1/DISKD0014 F 262144

    dbmcli on APT> param_addvolume 16 DATA /sapdb/APT/sapdata1/DISKD0016 F 262144
I then went back into se38 and ran /SAPAPO/OM_LC_DOWNLOAD_UPLOAD, but the buttons for section C are all grayed out.
The second process was to use what the fresh target install created with no parameter changes, but I then went back into se38 and ran /SAPAPO/OM_LC_DOWNLOAD_UPLOAD, but the buttons for section C were still all grayed out.
    Thanks

    Hello Natalia,
I have an issue with step C4-loading LiveCache transactional data in section C.
We are in the process of upgrading our SCM5.0 system to release SCM7.0. Our source livecache version is 7.6.03.12 and target livecache version we are upgrading to is 7.7.04.29. We are in the downtime phase of the upgrade, executing the post LiveCache upgrade C1-C11 steps in Section C.
During step C4 when uploading LiveCache transaction data, we are running into an error CONNE_IMPORT_WRONG_COMP_TYPE. The dump says that "when importing the object 'OT_ORDERS", the component no. 5 in the dataset has a different type from the corresponding component of the target object in the program "/SAPAPO/SAPLOM_UPGR_PARALLEL". The data type is "P" in the dataset, but "C in the program"
We are running AIX5.3 and Oracle 10.2.0.2.0.
I would appreciate if you can provide some help or pointers on how this issue can be addressed. Thank you!

Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
When importing the object "OT_ORDERS", the component no. 5 in the

  • New iPod Touch with grayed-out "No Wi-Fi" text in Settings

Just got a 16GB iPod Touch as a refurb. from Apple Store. I install iTunes, hook it up to my computer, follow all the instructions, and then after it's charged, disconnect it to begin using it.
First thing I do: try to set up the wi-fi. Only problem: I go into Settings and at the top, where it says "Wi-Fi" it is grayed out, and says "No Wi-Fi" next to it. In the About section, it says "N/A" for MAC address.
I have turned the unit off and on, performed a soft reset, a full restore through iTunes, and even paid the $4.95 to upgrade the OS to 3.1.2, thinking that version 2.x might be the problem.
Still... no Wi-Fi. According to Apple's site, refurbs are supposed to be fully tested and brought back up to factory spec before being shipped out. What hhappened to THIS unit? How'd it make it from China to my porch without anyone at Apple ever turning it on to see if the wireless chip in it even works?
Now I've got to go through the hassle and delay of exchanging it and waiting for the replacement to come in the mail from half a world away. Here's an idea, Apple... sell refurbished stuff that works with the guarantee that if it doesn't work or if it's defective, the customer is guaranteed a brand new unit as a replacement. Maybe that will light the fire under the techs to make sure they don't send out broken equipment as "Apple Certified."

I completed the instructions in the linked knowledge base article. It did not fix the problem. Apple has agreed to replace the unit after I ship it back to them. I will now have to wait another week before another refurbished unit arrives from half-way around the world...
I think my problem with this whole thing is that Apple specifically touts the fact that refurbished units sold through their online store are extensively tested and will work like a brand new unit. Obviously nobody even turned this unit on and went to the basic "About" screen in Settings to see if wireless was working. They would have caught the problem right away.
This is a check that should have taken 5 seconds for a technician to perform and would have saved me the disappointment of having the first iPod I've ever owned be a lemon... and saved me another week of waiting for a gizmo that I had expected to be using already. Don't sell Apple Certified refurbished stuff unless you're going to actually turn it on and make sure it works!
My other complaint... the rubber seal between screen and metal case is bulging out at two corners. It looks shoddy and cheap. I don't know who worked on this particular unit, or if this is par for the course with Apple. If the next one looks shoddy too, or has any problems, it will be my last time trying to get an Apple iPod. I got refurbished since I don't have much money - and I just can't justify spending the amount they charge for a new one. One more try Apple...

If you are having issues turning on Always Allow for cookies in Safari on your iPad, you may want to check to make sure that you don't have Private Browsing enabled, as noted in the following article:

  • I am trying to install Iphoto on my new MacBook Air adn the install button is grayed out  Any suggestions

I am trying to install iphoto 09 on my new MacBook Air and the install button is grayed out.  Both for installation and custom install.  Is there a problem that I am not aware of?

    Check for receipts
    To re-install iPhoto
    1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5:  Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows:  In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
    /var/db/receipts/
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
    3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store you can find it in your Purchases List.

    Hi,
The photo precedence in Lync 2013 is high-resolution photo from Exchange 2013 -> Photo from web address -> Active Directory photo. The "Edit or Remove Picture" button is available if you integrate Lync Server 2013 with Exchange 2013.
Since you are Lync server 2010 and Exchange 2010, you can choose the following two options:
The thumbnailPhoto attribute on the user's object in Active Directory Domain Services
A URL configured by the user
