Force Consistency Check??

I'm trying to create a VPC between two 5ks to a single server but when I bring them up the VPC never changes from the down state.... Below shows the config of each and some show commands. It seems like 5k2 hasn't performed a consistency check but 5k1 has and it shows successful.

Hi Justin,
The Link Aggregate you've configured is what's referred to as dynamic, and as such it will use the Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP) to negotiate with the link partner i.e., the server, on a number of parameters to use for the forming and control of the aggregate.
What we can see from the show port-channel summary command is that the links are in the Individual (I) state. This is usually an indication that the remote device is not sending LACPDU frames. You should be able to see this by checking the Recv column in the output of show lacp counters interface port-channel 204 command. It will most likely be 0.
If that's the case you'll need to check with the server guys how they have the aggregate configured. It must be using NIC teaming software supporting something along the lines of IEEE 802.3ad Dynamic (HP), IEEE 802.3ad or mode=4 (Linux) or LACP with VMware ESXi.
If you're connecting to a server whose OS only supports static link aggregation e.g., VMware ESXi prior to version 5.1, then you should change the Nexus configuration to use static Link Aggregation with the channel-group 204 mode on command under the Ethernet1/12 interface. Note that you can't change the keywords used with the channel-group command, but have to remove it and add it back using the on keyword.

  • DPM 2012 R2 Consistency Check (Replica Inconsistent) Error for Failover Cluster

I have a SCDPM 2012 R2 instance running against a Windows Server 2012 R2 Failover Cluster on the network.
However, any new/migrated Roles/Virtual machines that I add under an existing protection group always gives me an error saying that the replica is inconsistent.
    I've verified the following :
    1. All windows updates are applied on the cluster hosts & the DPM server.
    2. The VSS and DPMRA services are running on the hosts & DPM server.
    3. The Windows Server Backup feature has been installed on all the machines as well.
    4. The short term storage disks attached to the DPM server are LUNs and there is enough free space on those.
What else am I missing that could be causing the Replica to be inconsistent - considering that these are new VMs on the hosts themselves - is there a way to force a fresh replica to be created?

Do not remove any of the providers they come with the system. There is just something wrong with that VM, your trying to backup, as it could take the initial replica creation.
    Check all of the following
    1) Make sure you have enough C drive space on the guest - need space to create a snapshot
    2) Check the vssadmin list wirters for any errors
If none of the above, rerun the consistency check when no other backup is running. Check the Application log on the host for any vss failures
Ensure you have all the DPM hotfixes - I am compiling a list since i've been thru many DPM issues.
Great product when you get it going but like any product there are bumps in the road :)

  • But what if my Consistency Check consistently fails?

So, I've been trying to clean up my Library in preparation for installing V3.0. Each time I try to run a consistency check, the progress bar makes it about 75% of the way and then . . . . nothing. Ever. Finder does NOT report that Aperture is not responding, but nothing happens. Left overnight. Nothing. No option but to Force Quit, which I'm sure can't be good. I had sort of assumed that the consistency check should be run before / rather than a complete rebuild, no? Didn't think I wanted to rebuild a large(ish) and possibly inconsistent database. Anyone know of any way around this . . .?

Rebuilding the database actually rebuilds it from scratch, from the XML files stored for each Version and Album, so the rebuild doesn't involve your existing database at all.
If you consistently can't run the consistency check (try saying that ten times!) then rebuilding the DB would be the next step.
I would suggest that you duplicate the Library first though, just in case...
I agree. definitely duplicate your library. I had problem with the Aperture First aid as well (consistency check worked, Repair Database would stay at 0% and not move, so I rebuilt my DB and lost the library. Definitely Definitely duplicate or backup your library before you rebuild it.

  • Aperture freezes when performing a "Consistency Check"

    Hi everyone,
today I have updated my Aperture 1.x library to a brand new Aperture 2.1 one.
Unfortunately the conversion process freezed (it looked like it was finished because the little conversion window had disappeared) and, after waiting a very long time, i forced-quit Aperture.
Everything seems to be fine (all the pictures are there...) but I still don't feel very safe.
So I decided to rebuild the library and perform a consistency check: the former went fine while the latter freezes Aperture (I have waited 1+ hour).
Is that a bug or am I doing something wrong?
    Thank you.

    I apologize for disturbing.
I did a fourth "Consistency Check" and it went fine.
    Thank you!

  • VACUUM/Consistency Check - How long should it take?

Upon opening Aperture (2.1.4) I got a dialogue saying I should perform a consistency check. I started the consistency check "Running VACUUM on database" 12 hours ago. The progress bar is only three quarters finished. It hasn't changed in 3 hours. I'm mindful of posts saying not to interrupt this process. How long should I have to wait?

I tried to VACUUM my library twice. Each time aperture froze my entire machine.
I couldn't force quit anything, switching apps only froze the app I went to. the power button didn't trigger the dialog so I was forced to force the computer off. Holding the power switch for 5 or so seconds. Now the machine will not pass the boot screen, spinning below the apple. I re-installed snow leopard and tried again, thinking it was something else.
It seems that this is a bug with aperture and should be looked into by apple.
I was running 10.6.2 now I have to re-install again. I dont know any other option.
I tried tech tool pro and diskwarrior rebuilding the directory, no difference.
I think I will just have to make a new library and take the orignal files and re-import them all back into aperture.

  • Startup Consistency check.

    Greetings all,
I am overseeing an 11g installation on Redhat 5.3 64 bit. Prior to exectuting a 'shutdown immediate' command, is there any sort of consistency check to assure
me (I know there's no such thing as "gauranteed,") that the instance will practically startup without any issues? At times, I have a small window of opportunity to stop and restart the DB, can't afford startup issues in that maintenace window. The DB is in ARCHIVELOG mode and I am using RMAN (via DB control EM) to process my daily backups and full back once a week. I thought there was a checker that can check the integrity of the SYSTEM files, not sure.
    Thanks as always...

If you are going to issue shutdown with any legal option, you yourself don't need to worry about the sync and the successful startup of the database. Oracle will(does) manage the job of syncing the files with each other, closing them properly and in the next startup , making them online for you to be used. The only thing you need to do is to make sure that the shutdown command given has a legal shutdown option with it, must not be an abort /force.

    brbackup -u / -m all only_dbv -c -t online -e 3
    brbackup -u / -m all -w only_dbv -e 3 -c

    brbackup -u / -c force -w only_dbv -p init<sidadm>.sap -m ALL
I hope someone could provide what is the best command to use in order to execute the Consistency check in Online mode as I am planning to schedule it on weekly basis with the Online option..

  • Member consistency check

    BPC 5.1 SP1
    Multi server: 1 SQL/1 WEB
I have been processing a dimension for about 5 hours.  It typically takes about 3 hours.  This dimension is our entity dimension and it has an H3.  Specifically, it's been on the consistency check for 4+ hours.   I do not want to kill the process and start all over at this point.
    What occurs during this process?
What happens after this process besides AS processing?
If the dimension is already built, could I kill the process from Admin, process AS from server and be OK?
    Thank you in advance.

    Received from SAP Support:
From my understanding, the member consistency check checks to make sure
that the members are in their proper hierarchy and that they are
consistent between Analysis services and the database tables. As long asyou did not make any changes to the dimension, you can process AS from
    the server and be OK.
    Resolution:
I eventually lost my connection with the Admin interface so I was forced to process cubes from SSMS.  Before I did this I checked server to se if any SQL process were running and there was not.
I did have hierarchy changes but was able to sucessfully process cubes. All appears to be well with proper member changes in place.
I'm guessing I lost admin connection long before it froze up...

  • Windows Server 2012 - Backup failing with Exchange - The application will not be available for recovery from this backup. the consistency check failed

    Hi
We have a Windows 2012 server with Exchange 2013, all is working fine except now i am getting issues with the backup.
'Exchange - The application will not be available for recovery from this backup. the consistency check failed for the component Microsoft Exchange Server'
I have checked the database all is fine, i have created a new db and move all mailbox;s over and then removed the old db, i have enabled circular logging and then disabled it, it seems no matter what i do i cannot get a full backup!
i did have to restore the server once and the backups still worked for about 4 days after that and then stopped, i have also tried to remove and re add the backup role!
i am stumped, any advice would be great!

    Hi
Ok, i created a test db and tried to back it up right away, it failed, i did not add any mailbox's to it either. i got quite a few events in the windows logs, as well as the same event above i got the following:

  • Consistency check error in OBIEE 10g

    Hi
I have the below error while doing consistency check.
I was trying to join two fact tables by complex join, but getting below error
NQSError:15009 Could not load navigate space for subject area
NQSError: 15009 Multiple paths exist to table Plans.Circular joins schemas not supported
    Please suggest

If you have to join fact tables in physical, make sure your logical layer remains a star.
Either add both fact tables to one logical fact table source , or create two logical stars, where both facts are joined to all conformed dimensions.
Note: if both facts are not at exactly same granularity, your reports will show incorrect results most definitely. So avoid fact to fact joins.

Problem with the file content conversion parameters you specified in the sender file adapter.
Do let us know your DT structure and FCC parameters specified in adapter.
