    Hi ,
Plaese help to create a report for the below
Requirement is there to have a showing Forecast (Number) and Sales order (Number) pegging Report
Means like to which forecast number the sales order number is consumed

I have tested this on ASCP and I am agree with you. I am pasting one para from document...
"Oracle Master Scheduling/MRP and Supply Chain Planning calculates the ATP quantity of an item for each day of planned production by adding planned production during the period (planned orders and scheduled receipts) to the quantity on hand, and then subtracting all committed demand for the period (sales orders, component demand from planned orders, discrete jobs, and repetitive schedules).
Note: Committed demand does not include forecasted demand or manually entered master demand schedule entries. Also, the amount available during each period is not cumulative. Oracle Master Scheduling/MRP and Supply Chain Planning does not consider ATP quantities from prior periods as supply in future periods. "

  • Requirement type to consume customer forecast after sales order PGI

    Hi,
We have a requirement wherein we need to consume forecast after Goods PGi. When Sales Order is created the forecast should not be consume.
We have tried strategy 10 with KSL as requirement tyoe but it does not consume forecast at all even after PGI.
Is there any requirement type we can use?
    Thank you,
    Raymond

So you are using 40, not 10! When you have a group of strategies, the main is used as a default. To use the others you need to do things in the PIR definition and in the sales order.
I suggest that you go to a QA system first, either create a new material with only strategy 10, or take a existing material, delete all the planning and sales orders, and change strategy to 10.
Then go through a full cycle of the process, create PIR, procure & stock, create a sales order, deliver from stock, and see that it consumes the way you want.
Consumption parameters that you need to check are on MRP View 3 below the planning strategy group field.

  • Forecasting future sales orders all material requirement.

    Hi All
I have a requirement in our company :
The Material is Having Strategy Group as 20 for our product ( Make to Order Scenario)
The requirement is such that the sales team get some forecast sale orders from the customers which are intimated to Production team manually to keep the analysis; but based on the forecast order details they are not executing anything; once the sale order is confirmed by the customer then then only the production teams will do the planning (MRP) and production execution.
How can i send the forecast sale order details to production through system on for his analysis purpose.
But we need to use strategy 20 for our business.
Please tell  how to resolve our requirement.
    Thanks in Advance !!
    Thanks,
    Kesava

    Hello
If i understood your business requirement, you want to see the sales order on MD04, but you don't want to plan it until the customer confirmation. Is that right?
On the requirement class customizing (transaction OVZG) there is a setting called 'No MRP', where you can set the value '1 - Requirement not planned, but displayed'.
Your sales order should be created with a requirement type assigned to this requirement class. Later, when the customer confirm the order, you should change the requirement type to the default used by strategy 20.

  • Disabling relevance for Forecast in Sales Pipeline

    Hello,
I'd like to disable the 'relevant for Forecast' radio button that appears in the Sales Pipeline when clicking on personalize.
I checked the Oportunities as I expected that it should be obtained from there.
Has anybody already disabled this radiobutton?
    Happy for any ideas!
    Kind regards,
    Salvatore

    Hi Salvatore,
i tried roughly the same like you, but i think i got one step further till the next issue
I copied the view "Details" within the component "BT111H_OPPT" and used a different Role Key (Z_KEY_01) for this  view. This role key is part of my Business role. So the new view is visible for this Business role.
To test this, check the check box but keep the mouse key pressed! Now press F2 and you get the necessary information.
Within the component workbench i deleted the row with the "relevant for Forecast" Check box. So it is not maintainable for the business role with the key (Z_KEY_01) any more. Unfortunately it seems as if it is not checked by default any more... So the pipeline performance management is not working reasonably.
    Kind regards.

  • Settings required for Forecast Consumption with Sales Order

    Hello Folks,
    I have one scenario:
Forecast for Finsihed Product  - "PNG_Fert" in Location "1000".
I have forecast quantity of 500, now our requirement is - when SNP heuristic run will take place (without any sales order quantity) then there should not be any planned orders creation.
Planned order creation should happen Only if any one places sales order from ECC , which comes to APO then against that sales order forecast quantity should consume and should create the planned orders equal to the nos. of sales order quantity.
So if I have forecast of 500 qtys and sales order of 90 qtys then heuristic run should yield/create the  planned order of 90 qtys and there should be 500-90 = 410 forecast quantities remaning.
Please let me know which strategy will be used and other setting in ECC and APO.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Regards,
    Vishal

    Hi,
Please use planning strategy "PLANNING WITHOUT FINAL ASSEMBLY". Strategy 50 in ECC and 30 in APO. In this you can have forecasts and you can do the planning for the forecasts. But the planned orders created cannot be converted to production order. When the sales order comes in the forecast will be consumed and only for the sales order quantity a new convertible planned order will be created.
Also the forecast and sales orders will be handled in different segments. This will help you to clearly track the changes.
If you don't want to handle the sales orders in MTO segment, then the same can be achieved by using strategy 52.

  • Issue in consumption of forecast for configurable material

    Hi,
we have a issue in consumption of forecast by sales order for a configurable material.
Please find the below details for the settings maintained and the steps followed.
Please let me know how we can overcome this issue.
    settings in R/3
    1. Class and characterisitcs are created in R/3
    2. standard material was created and class assigned
    3. planning strategy used is 56
    4. material, class, characteristics,ATP check, ATP customizing , sales order were integrated to APO
    Settings in APO
    1. CBF table, CBF profile, Consumption group were created in APO
    2. Consumption group is attached to the product master
    following steps were followed.
    1. Forecast was created in DP for a certain characterstics ansd relaesed to SNP/PPDS
    2. forcast is visible in product view
    3. sales order was created in R/3
    4. slaes order is visible in APO but it is not consuming the foreacast for the same set of characteristics.
Please let me know how we can overcome this..are we missing any customization ...?
    Thanks
    Ram

    Hi Srinivas,
    thanks for your response.
The forecast consumption problem was solved after correcting the entries in requirement strategy.
    have one more query.
when the sales order for a configurable material is transferred from R/3 to APO, we should be able to see the values under "descriptive characteristics tab" in APO product view.(when we click on the green triangle representing the configuration).
However, we could see the values under "descriptive characteristics tab" for some of the characterisitcs and not for other characteristics.
we tried comparing the characteristics but could not figure out the reason.
any pointers / clues to come over this issue would be helpful.
    thanks

  • Purchase order on Liquidity forecast

    Hi all,
Today we have integrated the configuration of the the liquidity forecast by sales orders and open items accounting, but it does not consider the purchase orders. Does anyone know how could I configure it in order to consider the purchase orders?
    Thank you in advance
    Regards.

    Hi,
I have a problem that none of the PO amount is reflected on cash liquidation, the report only retrieves balances of PO which have been converted to invoice through MIRO.
I found that the configuration is complete, planning group has been assigned to vendor master data. Do you have any idea how planning level in Cash Management connects to Material Management/Vendor?
Or is there something missing that I can't get balance of PO in cash liquidation report?
    Thanks a lot

  • Reset Manually Entered Constrained Forecast Key Figure

We use Demand Planning to forecast future Sales Volumes.  Not too sophisticated.  We take a monthly extract from R/3 which summarize the last months Sales Actuals.
based on a given period of Sales History we then run a statistical forecast whicgh generates future months foreasts.
Once a manual adjustment has been made to a key figure by either Acciount Manager/Marketing Group?Demand Planner, that particular field is highlighted in 'YELLOW'.  Once this is done any future copies of stat numbers into those fields does not overwrite the users manual inputs.  As you would expect.
However we have some apparently manually entered values in our Constrained Key Figures that are completely incorrect.  However because the cells are yellow, the copy key figure macro will not be able to overwrite these values.  Is ther a way I can somehow reset these yellow cells so that they no longer resist the copying of data into them.
Apologies if I am using the incorrect terminology here.
Thanks for anything you can suggest.

I think your requirement could be met by exploring macro functions CELL_BG(), CELL_FG(), CELL_INPUT(), ROW_BG(), ROW()FG or ROW_INPUT() functions. All the macro functions can be made conditional, example a specific technical/business situation leads to color/editability etc.

  • For requirement strategy 30 forecast not seen in planning book

    Hi Experts,
I am using planning strategy 50 in ECC and same has been transfered to APO as 30. Just to test scenario I have entered manually forecast in product view and created sales order in ECC which is CIFed to APO. Now as per SAP guide, scenario works fine in product view, where sales orders consumes forecast and shows remaining forcast after consumption.
But the remaining forecast and sales order is not seen in SNP planning book. Any suggestions?
    Best regards,
    Vaibhav

    Dear Vaibhav,
I have a basic question ? Strategy group  50 in ECC  comes to APO as Requirement Strategy 30 ..
But it is a Make to Order strategy .
Do you think that it is logical to plan /Forecast a make to order product?
You can enter a forecast in product view , system will not stop you.
If you click on the item it will show as make to order planning segment.
So, I dont think that you can forecast .
whatever you see the product view cannot be seen in the planning book.

  • Multiple Forecast Streams in Demantra

    Hey,
I've noticed release note for 7.2 includes the following enhancement:
"You may want to create statistical forecasts from multiple demand streams.
You can generate a forecast from any data stream, for example, booking history and shipment history. Each data stream has a unique engine profile and version."
I haven't been able to find much documentation about this option.
Has anyone implemented a solution using that ? Know any HOW-TO documents available?
I'm thinking of using it for forecasting - item sales, and item returns from customers.
How should SALES_DATA be loaded for that scenario? How should engine be run?
    Thanks alot for any reply,
    Aaron

    Hi All,
Forecasting with multiple demand stream means that you can generate multiple forecasts based on different demand stream. By demand stream, i mean the historical data stream on which you want to generate the forecast.
There can be situations where you may require to generate forecast for different purpose.Like Aaron mentioned, you may want to generate a forecast based on the order/booking history and/or you may want to generate a forecast based on the returns history. For this purpose you need to create different engine profiles.Engine profile is nothing but a set of engine parameters with specific values. Oracle Demantra provides some predefined profiles for different purposes, and you can define additional engine profiles, as needed. When you run the Analytical Engine, you specify the engine profile to use.
Now coming to the HOW-TO part:
    1) The quantity_form (system parameter) contains an expression that is used by the engine to retrieve and aggregate demand stream data from the SALES_DATA table. Make sure that the quantity_form expression for a specific engine profile points to database columns containing the historical demand stream desired for the profile. Meaning, if you want to generate a forecast based on booking history then the quantity_form should point to the booking history stream in the sales_data table. Likewise for returns history, point the quantity_form to returns history stream in sales_data table.
    2) Create a series to view the forecast generated by the engine profile.
    3) The newly created engine profiles gets added to the list of engine profiles in the system parameters. You can select the required engine profile and generate the forecast.
    4) View, Edit or compare the forecast created in step 4 by creating a worksheet with all the forecast generated.
I hope this brings more clarity to the queries/replies posted earlier.

  • Automatic sales order

Hello, will SAP automatically create a sales order from a dependant or independant requirement one the planning time fence is reached.  So I know it will automatically create the PO from the PR in purchasing, does the same thing happen in the sales process?
Sorry its such a simple question but hope someone can confirm!

    Hi,
First of all, what is the necessity of your requirement ?
The demand for the Finished product to be produced starts from the Sales of the product. Hence it depends on the external Environment (Customer Sales).
Though we can forecast the sales for the forthcoming period, but the Sales Order need to be generated only based on the Firm Confirmation we receive from the customer (that is the Purchase Orders from the customer).

  • Forecast settings in the Material Master

    Hello gurus
We want to set the forecast model as X ( Seasonal and trend ) and  Model Selectionu2014u2018 as Au201D We are getting error message as  A is not relevant for this model . Where to do the relevent config .
Please advice where to do the config for the number ranges for the alpha/beta/ factor in the settings
    Thanks
    JJ

    Dear,
I didn't get your requirement. The system first calculates the basic value on the basis of historical data and then updates this value at the end of every period using the alpha factor.
The forecast profiles in SOP are different than those in the material master. In SOP, you can use one forecast profile to forecast a whole group of materials. In the material master, each material has its own forecast profile.
In MC88, enter the material number and plant and select version
For that varsion copy sales plan from the followinbg menu
    Edit >create sales plan>Forecast
Copy sales plan to ptoduction plan
    Edit>create production plan>sycronous to sales
    Hope it will help you.

  • Forecasting the need of spare parts in Demantra

    Hello everyone,
I would really appreciate if anyone who's had dealt with the following issue help us,
The thing is - we want to forecast 3 different kind of items:
    1. Main items we sell - for examples - machines.
    2. Accessories for machines we sell. A certian accessory can be used with several type of machines. (Cables, Batteries etc.)
    3. Spare parts we need to keep in stock in order to provide repair services for our customers.
Each machine we sell has a different set of spare parts used when repairing.
The forecast for machines is a typical demantra model forecast.(sales forecast by the book).
My question is regarding the forecast for the spare parts we need for repairs.
We know that demand for a certain spare part is influenced by how many machines which use that part were sold to customers.
Also - it depends how common is the use of that part when fixing those machines that need service.
(some parts get broken more frequently etc).
Also since we provide fixed price insurance for customers, they dont "see" spare parts price as a factor.
(they dont naturally "buy" the parts).
How can demantra tie the forecast for the spare part to sales history of machines? Can demantra forecast service ?(which behaves alot different than sales). It is obvious that forecasting demand for spare parts with looking only at each part's history will not provide best forecast results.
    Any insights anyone?
I'm pretty sure most implementations faced that issue - regarding the forecast of parts for service -
    Would appreciate any reply,
    Thanks alot,
    Aaron.
    Edited by: user10894682 on 07:30 05/02/2009

    Hi Aaron,
Per my understanding, you sell machines as well as their accessories. So forecasting for them is by the book where you would be using the demand for machine as well as for accessories..
As far as the service parts' forecasting is concerned, Oracle has a seperate module for Service & Spare parts planning based on Demantra's forecasting engine.
Spare Parts Planning(SPP) has the following features:
    1. Forecast accurately with built in Demantra's Forecasting engine
    2. Replenish spares based on Single plan model
    3. Distribute spares using SPP's plan
    4. One single UI to carry out all 3 above processes for improved productivity
    5. Forecasting based on Shipments, Spares Usage, and Returns
    6. Plan based on Service parts failure rates calculations
    7. Integrated with various APS modules like Demantra DM, CP, IO, and ASCP.
From demantra's perspective you may try out the following:
Since you provide fixed price insurance for customers, you would definitely be keeping track of the service provided like what spare was replaced and probably how many of the same spare have been replaced for a particular customer over a period of time. Also as per the insurance you must have specified that a particular spare would be replaced only x number of times within a span of say 6 months or 12 months.
You may utilize these information to classify the spares based on the frequency of use viz. very frequent, medium frequent and less frequent and associate some factor to it.You can club this information as well as the spare parts demand coming out of the BOM (bill of material) of the machine along with each part's history and come up with a forecast that can be more relied upon.
    I hope this helps.

    Shekhar
