Foreign Trade Module-Sanctioned Party Config

Hello
My company is looking at implementing the Foreign Trade Module (not GTS). Does anyone have information about creating the Sanctioned Party Screening in Foreign Trade? The white paper on Legal Control mentions the capability for boycott lists, but I can't find this in the configuration. Any information would be helpful.
Thanks for your help

  • SAP SD - Foreign trade using third party

    Hi,
We have a requirement to use a third party system to determine if export licence is required or not. Once determined it needs to come back and block the order till the licence is generated ( also in the third party system). We do not want to use blocks or user status to do this. Is there any way to activate one of the FT error status on the document (like EXLS) through custom development? This is needed as we rely on standard reports such as VE31 to identify these orders. Thanks in advance..
    Regards,
    Hari.

No solution, ended up using user status.

  • Foreign Trade Reporting

    Hello
We have a requirement to create two customs related reports out of SAP
    1. The Foreign Trade Zone report-a report of all items entering and leaving the Foreign Trade Zone over a month
    2. The Pedimento report-a report of all duties owed to the Mexican government based on items entering and leaving Mexico over the course of a week.
I can see in SAP's Foreign Trade Module the ability to create Intrastat and Extrastat reports for the EU, but neither of the above reports are standard in the module. I also cannot see a way of using the module to create the reports-so that they do not have to be entirely custom built. Does anyone have experience with Foreign Trade that can advise on the creation of customs related reporting? It should be noted that we do not have Global Trade Service.
    Thanks

You have a couple of possibilities here. If you want your SD DataSources for billings and deliveries to have this data, you can append the fields needed to the extract structure and create a User Exit for those respective DataSources through CMOD to lookup on the EIKP and EIPO tables. The other choice would be to create generic DataSources for each table, or if possible create a view of these two tables and create one generic DataSource from that view.

  • Foreign Trade - upload HS codes

    Hi Gurus,
Would anyone please guide on this: how are HS codes uploaded into foreign trade module? These are normally access database files and need to be converted to text before we can upload into SAP
Any comments / guides / suggestions?
    Thanks,

    Hi SM
Normally this will be maintained in J1ID --> Material and Chapter-Id combination.
Reward me if this is helpful to you.

  • Foreign Trade Data

We would like to generate export documents (FUCI, FUSD, FUCO) for orders that have a domestic ship to address.  The process works fine for export shipments, however there is no foreign trade data copied into the delivery or billing documents if the ship to party is domestic.  Is there a setting in copy control or user exit that will allow these fields to be populated?
    Thank you, Julie
Edited by: Julie Simonds on Feb 7, 2008 4:36 PM

    Hi Julie,
I just checked, the user exits could be used for modyfing the EIPO data. But you will have to be careful with this because the EIPO data reference key needs to be picked from the LIKP table. So you need to ensure that the user exit is used in calling the whole sub module of Foreign trade and not just the updation of EIPO table.
Because the issue is that if its a domestic shipping the foreign trade data would not be generated at all. So you would have to ask the ABAP team to call include or Functional module which generates the foreign trade data. This include will change the LIKP and EIPO table  as  done in the export/import shipment cases.
Let me know if you need more assistance.

  • Foreign Trade - Legal Control for scheduling agreements

We are on version 4.6C and I am setting up the legal control for my company.  It seems to work quite well for sales orders but then when I went in to configure scheduling agreements it errors and tells me you cannot do legal control for document type "E" which are typically scheduling agreements.
I cannot find any documentation on this.  Does anyone know why legal control does not work for scheduling agreements and/or is this functionality available in the Global Trade Services module??
Thanks in advance for any and all help!!
    Debbie

    Jean,
I have done a Foreign trade implementation.
The core team of the client are FT experts and they would tell you about the legal requirements. Your job is to map them in SAP FT.
In this process you would gain Knowledge about  Foreign trade regulations of that country. Remember its country specific.
The ECCN's are provided by the client. Info abt the same is extensivley available on the NET.
You have to get the list of all the mtrls which fall under the controlled cantegory of the respective commerce ministry and then start the config setting  these mtrls as relevant for FT checks.
    Thanks

  • Legal Unit and Foreign Trade organization are not in same country

    Hi all,
We are currently working on a Maquiladora project under which our plants in Mexico will be assigned to a US company code.
However, when we try to define this org structure in GTS, we are getting the below warning message while assigning the Legal Units (with MX address) to the FTO (US address). The system allows us to save the config, but it doesn't appear to work correctly. For example, when I simulate an import into MX plant, the system is applying the US legal regulation rather than MX.
Has anyone encounterred this error or any suggestions? (One idea we thought about is to define the FTO with a MX address, not sure if this would be the right thing to do; one additional problem is, the given FTO also includes other US plants for which we do want to apply US legal regulation, should we rather define an entirely separate company code (US address) & FTO (MX address) for the given MX plants??)..Can someone shed some light on this subject? Thanks in advance. -Raj Palanivel.
Below is the full details of the warning/error:
Legal Unit xxx and foreign trade organization yyy are not in same country
    Diagnosis
You tried to assign  foreign trade orgnaization yyy in in US to legal unit xxx in MX.
This is not permitted. You must create the legal unit and the foreign trade organization in the same country.
    System Response
The system does not permit this entry.
    Procedure
    Correct your entry.

    Hi Raj,
In GTS we can map the company codes to FTO's as one to one  and FTOs to company codes as many to one in the same way plants and legal units.
So in this case you can maintain one dummy FTO related to Mexico and assign it to the plants in mexico. But in R/3 you will map the plants in mexico to US company codes. For this SAP has provided some BADI's to implement this functionality.we have also have some similar functionality which we have implemented it at the time of transfering outbound deliveries. So use the following BADI /SAPSLL/IFEX_SD0b_R3 and method IF_EXTEND_CON_CDOC. you need to maintain one custom table for the organization units which needs to be transfered.

  • Documentary payment in MM - Foreign Trade

    Hi all,
I have a question regarding documentary payment in MM, Foreign trade. In SD module, foreign trade there is a nice transaction regarding documentary payment and letter of credit but in MM module is not set up. When I want to enter vendor code there is no field but only customer. So, my question is, is it possible that transaction in menu for MM - foreign trade have transaction to enter documentary payment like letter of credit without vendor field? or there is some settings to be previously done or some field selection to change to be able to enter vendor and not only customer or is not possible at all in MM to use documentary payments but only in SD?
    Thanks,
    BR

it is only available in SD.
I dont really see a need for this in pruchasing.
This L/C is a guarantee, it guarantees that you as selling company get your money. You need this Documentary payment  in foreign trade to avoid that you sell and ship more than the guaranteed payment, as you may never see any money for the overdelivered quantity.
From a MM point of view, you are just requested to pay when the goods are on the way or have arrived at your site. your bank will not give the money to your vendor if you have not received the goods.,
What would be the benefit of maintaining the same from MM point of view? to avoid that you create orders for more than your bank guarantees the payment? To remind you to open a L/C when the PO is created? (isn't the PO with proper payment terms not already enough )
If you really want to monitor it from MM point of view, then you can create a contract and reference it when creating a PO.

  • Foreign Trade Declarations Step 5 - AP Invoices aren't reported

    Hi Experts,
I hope you're all well.  I'm hoping you can help me with an Intrastat issue I have please.
I have noticed that AP Invoice transactions only appear in Step 6 of the Foreign Trade Declarations report if I populated AP Invoice VAT Code with VAT Code E2 which is defined as Input Tax and the EU box is ticked.
If I create an AP Invoice with the VAT code I1 then the transaction doesn't appear on Step 6 of the Foreign Trade Declarations report.  VAT Code I1 is set up as Input Tax but the EU box is not ticked for this VAT code.
Is this correct SAP behaviour please or am I doing something wrong?
    Many thanks for any information.
    Caroline

    Hi,
Check the Tolerance days in the payment run defaults. Take the days as zero and run the payment wizard.
In 2005 version available under following path :
Banking Module > Payment Wizard > Payment Run Default > Tolerance days.
    In 2007 version :
Administration > Setup > Banking > Payment Run Defaults.

  • Transfer Foreign Trade Export Import values in Purchase Order

    Hello SRM brothers and sisters,
I have a question regarding the transfer of the Import/Export data (Foreign Trade) in the PO from SRM to ECC in the Classic Extended Scenario.
Basically, in the SRM BBP_ECS_PO_OUT_BADI -> BBP_B46B_PO_OUTBOUND method where we map all the values, I try to fill in the CT_BAPI_POEXPIMPITEM table with the item's Import/Export values.
The way this is done is:
if nothing exists in this CT_BAPI_POEXPIMPITEM table for the PO item, add an empty line and assign the following fields ( PO_ITEM, EXPORT_IMPORT_PROCEDURE, COUNTRYORI and COMM_CODE).
This is then sent to ECC via the RFC BBP_PO_INBOUND function module - and inside I know that it assigns the X-structure of Export/Import Item. It then calls the BAPI_PO_CREATE / BAPI_PO_CHANGE and in the debugger the values seem to be correct.
This all seems to be very nice, however when I take a look at the PO in ME23n, the values of the Import/Export data are not there! In table EIPO there is also nothing... As for error messages, nothing comes up either.
So, has this happened to anyone? Am I doing something wrong? Is there an extra step I should do (ie, fill another structure/table/field)?
    Cheers,
    Adi

    Hi Kishor,
Thanks for your reply.I need to some more inputs if you can...
As you mention :-You need to enter the special UOM according to the specifications in the index of goods or foreign trade statistics: can you give a example to get more clarification.and how Qtys. are converted to this unit for the export declaration.
You mentionwd : (FOr each item, you have to enter the amount of the unit of measure determined
in the index of goods. Eg: number of units) -can u explain with example. what is index of Goods.
    Thanks in adavance.
    Thank you.

  • Default foreign trade data

    dear all,
when i am create export sales, default data for foreign trade data is not getting reflected in the billing and hence showing foreign trade incomplete.
how can i default the data of foreign trade data
    thanks
    srinivasan

    Hi,
To check the config if foreign trade data is required or not:
The "delivery Plant" under Organization tab is determined by your Shipping Point, check that country of your shipping point is the same as your Customer's country, if it is not the same, then Foreign Trade data are expected.
    If yes then,
    In sap main screen,
Maintain foreign trade data for that material in foreign trade view of material master.
Go to header data of the billing document
Select foreign trade then maintain the entries mode of transport, country of origin if entries not found click on F4 in the field and select create tab in the field itself it will navigate you to the path maintain entries
    Then save the billing document.
    In configuration SPRO screen,
Check the shipping point in sales order ,
Also check the SAP Note No 313188 with your BASIS person.
You require to do the necessary configuration for Foreign Trade Data:
IMG --> Sales and Distribution --> Foreign Trade/Customs --> Basic Data for Foreign Trade --> (Do the necessary configuration here).
In most probability, it will not default, but it is required to be maintained in Invoice (based on configuration)
    Regards,
    Siddharth.

  • Billing: Foreign trade data missing error

    Hello friends,
I have a peculiar problem while trying to release billing doc to accounting. Delivering country is BE and Desination country is DE. I have setup config under Foreign data transportation to pull up default values by maintaining Tcode VI95.
However when I do VF01 the system doesn't seem to pull that data. Futhermore if I were to save the billing doc with foreign trade data as incomplete and then do VF02 to enter the data making sure the doc is complete, the system still won't let me post the data saying that foreign trade is still missing when infact it has been entered manually and the doc says its complete.
    Any ideas??

    Hi Robert,
did you know the OSS-Note 354222? Perhaps it usefull for you to have a look on it. If you one time go into the foreign trade data in the invoice, and they are incomplete you can't transfer this invoice to accounting.
    Regards Thomas

  • Foreign trade & customs

    Hi All,
Where will i get the material or any details for foreign trade used in case if import. Basically i need to have all these data for capturing country of origin, BE no(IGM no, invoice no etc) in inbound delivery and the same should reflect in MIGO. Please let me know weather foreign trade/ import will serve this purpose or should we go for any development,,, if not foreign trade please let me know here can i enter all these data in inbound delivery and sebsequently appear in MIGO.
    Regards,
    Rakesh

based on cusotmizing you can have foreign trade data views  in the purchase order at header and item level.
This data is then captured in table EIKP and EIPO.
this will serve standard foreign trade processes.
If you want the Mercedes for your processes then have a look at SAP GTS (global trade module)

    How do i avoid it??

    Pl help me out.
    rgds..

    Hi,
You can disable the default checking with the followings steps :-
    1) Setup Incompletion Schemas for both the Header and Item. (transaction VI29). It is here that you define what fields should be populated as part of the Foreign Trade check in billing. The default has three fields. You only need to created new ones with only one field, and set that field's incompletion control check to inactive. Setting up the Export/Dispatch setting will do the trick.
    *VI29
    *New entries
*Descriptions    No checking for header    No checking for item
    *Incompletion procedures name e.g.    Z1                       Z2
    *Header/Item Level                             A                          B
    *Export/Import                                      2                         2
    *Origin field                                       EXPRF             EXPRF
    *Fld ctrol/Inc.                                           1                      1
    2) For each country from which you ship goods, assign the incompletion schemas to that country under the Export/Dispatch
setting.  VI49 - Foreign Trade Data in MM and SD Documents.
    *VI49
    *Country                             US
    *Export/Import                     2
    *Incomplete header data       Z1
    *Incomplete item data           Z2
    Hope, its helpful.
    Best Regrads,
    Amit.
