Form colors all different in 9i after upgrading

After upgrading my forms from v6 to 9i, when I run them through 9ias, the colors are all different from what they were when it was client server. The colors are also very dark.
A related question, I setup the applet to be 600x800 in size, but my main screen isn't this big. The window where my main screen is located is fine color wise, but the rest of the applet window is black, which makes things look really dark.
Any suggestions?

Hi Jim, we spoke last week about your report server questions. I hope you were able to get those worked out.
To tweak your forms colors, make some changes in the formsweb.cfg file located in your Oracle_home/forms/server directory of your Business Intelligence and Forms part of the installation. Creating your own graphic for the background (we used white) can help lighten the screens some. Also, change between Oracle Look and Feel and Windows look and feel and see which you like better. Since we run Windows XP on all our desktops, we found the Oracle Look and Feel more closely resembled that. You can also play with the different color schemes in that file. We are using teal and that has satisfied most of our users.

    What photos?
    Photos taken with the iphone should be imported to your computer regularly as with any digital camera, most especially before any update or restore.  If you failed to do this, then they are likely gone.  You can try restoring from backup.
    Photos synced from your computer should still be on your computer an in you regular backup copy of your computer.

    You can look at this document about a restore, http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414, but it will show you that after you restore, it takes you to the Setup assistant which is what  you encounter with a new device. From there, you select to restore to a backup and select the iCloud backup.

    I don't think this is related to the above question, but the linked "solution" is as good as I can come up with, however it looks like its possible that ALL the libraries in the collection are suffering the same situation...
    WHATS HAPPENING:
    our site was migrated to 2013 from 2010 from 2007 and is running in compatability mode around 6-18 months ago. I'm pretty sure the old system is gone too - database backups might be obtainable... not sure.
    There are a bunch of "site columns" that are used consistently across the collections libraries (there seems to be a general avoidance of "content types", don't ask me why, I don't know, I also don't know what would be involved in moving
    them all to content types as many of the sites "views and webparts" use the content type columns to surface things all over the place, so I suspect it would be a big job), but folks have recently noticed that some documents are missing from various
    pages (webparts that are gathering documents from these columns values).
    But the problem is that it seems that since the update most (all?) of the document libraries NO LONGER enforce the requirement and litterally only show "name*", and "title" in display and edit properties...
    Any ideas on how to get things back to showing the "proper" forms (I can only guess what this was from documentation and screenshots and general guessing based on the "commonness" of the columns in question)? Or is there a way to merge
    or migrate "columns" to content types in some way that is either "collection wide" or non-breaking?
    ANY assistance would be greatly appreciated!

    So just to be sure are you saying that '2010 compatabilty mode' is causing these issues?
    Just to be SUPER clear from my end this is what I'm seeing as an example;
    For a collection
    with site columns
    many but not all lists
    many but not all list items
    --> are missing valid data in the site columns that have been registered for that list.
    sample:
    name          modified by    doctype     department
    item1.docx   username   <blank>  <blank>
    item2.docx   username    WorkInstruction    Planning
    if you click "edit properties" you are presented with ONLY the (I'm guessing) content types fields (eg: for Document you get Name and Title) and NONE of the other fields that should be specified.
    However if you hit "save" you can see that the data in these fields returns to the "list view" (however it does not re-enable these fields from being active in the View/Edit properties pages).
    Is this something that can be fixed? Or are you saying that we need to backup the DB and restore to a FULL version (not in compatability mode) of SharePoint2013? Or are you saying we need to revert to our PRE update backup and do something?
    Its been many months since thsi upgrade was done and the system has changed a lot, so you can imagine we are reluctant to loose much of these changes...

  • All domains password protected after upgrade to cf8 HELP!

    WIndows 2003 IIS6.0, CFMX 7.0 (with all updates).
    I just upgraded to CF 8.0 (std) and now ALL domains (whether
    they have CFM pages or not) are asking for USERNAME and PASSWORD
    via the windows std user name / password screen.
    I've tracked it down to the IIS > domain > home
    directory > application settings > configuration >
    application configuration mappings. They all point to
    C:\ColdFusion8\runtime\lib etc.. etc.. folder. I have checked the
    permissions on this folder and they appear the same as my CFMX 7
    setup -- but obviously a web visitor cannot access this file.
    I even went so far (for testing) to give EVERYONE full
    permissions for this folder /subfolder etc... still browsing to any
    site requires username and password.
    For now I have uninstalled all CF8 hooks into web sites on
    all domains but one test one... same issue. HELP! I really would
    like to upgrade but this is killing me!
    I should note that install also pooched my cross domain
    webmail (mail enable) and my livestats application (a statistics
    app running on one domain)... still have not repaired those.
    Any help much appreciated.

    Typically IIS will run as the IUSER.
    1. Find the folder in question.
    2. Right Click -> Properties -> Security
    3. Click Add
    4. A new window will open, click advanced (I believe).
    5. Click find, then scroll through the list of usernames
    until you find the IUSER, double click the username
    6. You'll want to hit OK then go to the advanced button on
    the initial security screen, and select the check box marked
    propagate permissions to child objects blah blah.
    Bare in mind that IIS can be configured to run as a different
    user depending on your setup.
    [edit] You'll probably only want the IUSER to have read
    permissions .... [/edit]

    My Text text message screen froze.  I restarted my phone at which time all of my text messages and iMessages were wiped clean.

    Here is an idea, copy your important texts in notes so u can sync them. If you keep texts that long save them that way. I thought all texts were erased after an update anyway, maybe I am wrong but then again I don't keep texts forever.

  • Imported Photo colors are purplish/pink/red after upgrade to 3.4

    I've recently upgraded to LR 3.4 on Windows.  After the upgrade, all photos that I view (new photos and photos taken prior to the upgrade) appear to have a purplish/pink/red tint.  If I export the RAW file to a JPG and view it outside of LR, it appears normal.  The photos appear like this in at least the library and develop windows. Why is this and how do I fix it?  A search of the LR FAQ's didn't yield anything useful.
    I didn't change any develop settings, I didn't change any import options, and I didn't apply any auto filters (that I know of). I've tried upgrading to 3.4.1 to fix this issue, but that didn't solve it.
    Please note I'm a relative novice with both lightroom and color management, so please don't assume I have prior knowledge when suggesting a fix for this issue!

    I got it working myself
    Maybe others are dealing with the same problem, so here is what I did:
    At Corel's support website I found no information about similar problems, just a description how to set back the current workspace to factory defaults.
    This is done by clicking at the program icon to start the software and then holding down the shift key immediately after clicking. Then a message box opens asking for confirmation.
    Although I had done some custom settings to the workspace I had nothing to lose and gave it a try. Voila
    Not sure what the reason behind is; I think that there are old configuration files existing or settings got mixed up for whatever reason.
    Before I did so, I renamed the matching *.plist file at my user's library/preferences folder to *.plist.old - but this did not bring any improvement (in fact, even no new plist file became created).

    We just upgraded SAP from 8.82 PL02 to 8.82 PL15.
    Afterwards, in just 1 workstation, Crystal Reports layouts have Crystal Report Windows Forms Viewer error I attach.
    Before the upgrade this error did not happen.
    No permissions or authorizations were changed  in the workstation.
    The Crystal Reports layouts remain working fine in server and in the other workstations.
    In the workstation following are installed:
    - Operating System Windows 7;
    - Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5;
    - SAP Crystal Reports runtime engine for. NET Framework;
    - Crystal Report 2008 Runtime SP6;
    - Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Native Client.
    All, but the operating system, are equal to the other workstations.
    User has edit access to SAP folders, temp and access to the attach path.
    We already uninstalled SAP client and client agent and re-installed it but with no avail.
    Can anyone help me?

  • Do I need to download drivers for an HP 8600 all in one printer after upgrading to Mavericks from Mountain Lion?

    I am about to upgrade my Mac's OS from Mountain Lion to Mavericks.   I recently networked to my Mac on our home wireless network an HP 8600 all in one printer/scanner and an HP LaserPro 127.   I saw a note posted in a non-Apple forum stating that the Mavericks upgrade should include the drivers needed to run these products on Mavericks.   Is that correct or will I need to download a new set of drivers from HP after I upgrade to Mavericks?
    Any guidance would be appreciated.

  • HAS release version is different than software after upgrade?

    This is a standalone server with grid, asm.
    it was 11.2.0.2. I installed 11.2.0.3. rootupgrade.sh somehow failed with error saying running asmca waits for password input for asmsnmp. then I used asmca GUI to run the ASM upgrade. it tells me upgrade successfully.
    However, after I shutdown old cluster processes and asm and restart them in new version, I got this, HAS software version still shows 11.2.0.2. But ASM is up and fine.
    Is upgrade succeeded or not? what should I do now? (frustrated!)

  • My folders/apps all messed up/missing after upgrade

    So I was able to get my music and all other stuff back on after the upgrade (they didn't work right off). Now my folders are all messed up. I rearranged it all on Itunes, synced again and that was a wasted hour! It went right back to the way just post upgrade.
    So I did a restore to the morning before the update and its still not right. I can live with them not in folders, but a LOT are not showing on the phone, (though they do in Itunes). In Itunes they are scattered amongst 11 pages, but on the phone its mostly bare folders and only 3 pages.

    A call to Apple had no help, other than to restore all the way to factory settings. Didn't help. The apps are still spread amongst 11 pages in Itunes,and when I try to sync, it seems to sync from the phone. Not from Itunes. The phone only shows about 4 pages. Sometimes it adds new apps from previous try. If I download them again it seems to stick. Some are paid for and Apps wants me to pay again.
    still stuck. I see others have same issue and no one has responded to our issue.

  • All USB drives disconnect after upgrade and clean install of MAC OS X Mavericks

    I first upgraded to Mavericks and noticed that my external USB dries would disconnect after MBP Retina Mid 2012 model was updated to Mavericks.  These worked fine in all versions of Mac OS X before upgrade.  So I did a clean install figured my machine would benifit from this anyway. This did NOT fix the problem. 
    Wouldn't be much of an issue but I use this macine as a media server with Plex and all the media is in one of the external USB 3.0 drives.  All drives are from Seagate, and have found no info there.  Guessing this is a bug that Apple needs to fix unless its a Seagate issue which I doubt. 
    My TEMP FIX while my machine is plugged in to the power adapter and drives.

    If the tracks are recognized by your iPod (playable), search VersionTracker for "iPod". You'll find a number of utilities that can transfer your tracks and your playlists from your iPod back to your Mac.
    If they're just on your iPod as data, then I'm not certain since I don't use a custom hierarchy, but you should be able to copy the folder back to your iTunes Music folder, turn off the "copy to iTunes library when adding to library" preference, and then use the Add To LIbrary command to get them recognized by iTunes. Again, though, I don't use a custom hierarchy, so you might want to ask that question as a new post, just to get additional opinions.
    BTW, an iPod is not a reliable backup for your tracks. Too many situations can arise that would cause your iPod to need to be erased. I strongly recommend that you make backups, particularly of any tracks purchased from the iTunes Music Store or that would otherwise be difficult to replace, to CD, DVD, external hard drive, or other medium.

    I recently upgraded to Mountain Lion 10.8.5 and have lost all my sound (doesn't work over the net nor iTunes etc. - in fact iTunes doesn't even play). This all seems to be because if I open 'Audio MIDI setup' it simply states 'no devices found on the system'
    Besides the obvious time machine back to the previous OSX is there anything I can do (time machine is back to a drive in my office and I am away from this). I'm pretty annoyed this has happened, everything else seems fine, thanks, Jim
