Form is Not Publicly Available / "Document Cannot Be Found"

Hi All,
We are running into an issue intermittently - one is that a specific form created sometimes requires that a vistior login (create an Adobe ID before being able to view/complete the form). There doesn't appear to be any way to toggle the sign-in requirement from the form settings. Is there any way around this?
The second (related?) issue is that upon creating the login, logging in, and then clicking the form link the visitor recieves an error entitled "The document can't be found, or you don't have access to it".
Is there any way to force a form to become publicaly available to avoid these two issues?

Hi Nik,
All forms can be viewed/completed without logging in. I suspect what's happening is that you're sharing the wrong form link with your users. Please make sure that you share the link starting with https://adobeformscentral.com (which can be obtained from the Distribute tab) and not https://formscentral.adobe.com. The latter takes users to the form "authoring" environment, and they will not have access to your form.

    One of my colleagues is trying to post a CO only document to move balances across profit centres in special period 16.  The company is GBP so she enters the GBP amount and the system automatically posts the USD amount in Group currency.  Unfortunately the translated USD amounts are out of balance by 0.01 so the document won't post and we can't alter the USD amounts. Error message - Balance not zero.  Document cannot be posted.
    Does anyone have any ideas how to get the document to post?

    I suppose you receive error message F5598.
    EC-PCA is from technical point of view nothing else than a special ledger in FI (FI-SL). Therefore it is just normal that FI messages can appear in connection with EC-PCA and that you need to maintain some PCA relevant entries in FI transactions.
    Of course from logical point of view error F5598 is justified as PCA needs to know which account should be used in order to post rounding differences that might occur in connection with 9KE0.
    Procedure RDF is used to post internal currency rounding differences.
    In your case this procedure is mentioned because only one of the three possible currencies (transaction, company code or profit center currency) is contained in the layouts for document entry, and differences differences have occur in the other currencies due to the automatic currency translation, although the balance is zero in the displayed currency.
    The only way to make this posting in PCA is either to setup the accounts for actvity RDF (transaction OBA1) or to maintain the document type as 2 - no balance check (transaction GCBX).
    Example:
    Company code currency: AUD
    Profit Center local currency: EUR
    current exchangerate: AUD -> EUR = 0,591058244
    10 AUD = 5,91 EUR
      5 AUD = 2,96 EUR
    When you now post the following transaction the following values are posted or translated
    Profit Center  Company Code Currency Profit Center Local Currency
    AAAAAAAA         10,00  AUD               5,91  EUR
    BBBBBBBBB           5,00- AUD               2,96- EUR
    CCCCCCCCC           5,00- AUD               2,96- EUR
    Balance                   0,00  AUD               0,01- EUR
    So the system needs either the information where to post the rounding difference or to ignore the rounding difference.

  • The volume for "documents" cannot be found.

    i restarted my laptop today after getting the newest security update and found that every icon on my screen is gone except the "Macintosh HD" icon. i opened up the HD icon and tried to click on the Documents folder on the left, but the message "the volume for 'documents' cannot be found" pops up.
    then i tried to restart the computer in safe mode, and repair disk with disk repair utility on the installation disk, but nothing worked...!
    i'm more of a windows user than a mac user, so it's safe to say i am now clueless as to what to do next...
    midterms are coming up and i need my notes in Documents to study....
    pleassseee help me if u can!!!

    It sounds like you're saying that everything appears to be working normally, but you can't find of your files? If so, I'd start by doing a search for files you know should exist (using Spotlight, the Search window, or a Smart Folder--command-option N). It's possible that somehow things simply got accidentally moved into places they shouldn't be. If that's the case, you might just need to find them and move them back where they they should be.

  • The volume for documents cannot be found message

    Similar threads didn't quite yield the results I was hoping for, so I thought I would give this a shot. I am getting a "the volume for documents cannot be found" message when I click on my Documents folder in the lefthand column of a Finder window. I do not have the same problem with movies or music. However, when I click on the Documents folder in my Home menu, my documents are all there. Searches reveal that they are there as well. The only change I made to my computer prior to this computer was turning on FileVault. I have turned it off, but this has not resolved the issue. Neither has simply dragging the folder on the right to the icon on the left. I'm glad that my documents aren't gone, but can anyone advise as to how I can make my computer recognize this?

    Hi Erin, and a warm welcome to the forums!
    Do you mean the Documents in the Sidbar of the Finder Window?
    If that is the case, then drag the one that doesn't work, off to the left of the Sidebar, it'll go poof, then locate your Document folder and drag that to the Sidebar, but not on top of another icon there, as that'll move it to that location... Perhaps this is how it got lost in the first place?

    I understand that your Webcam is not working and does not appear within device manager. I am happy to assist.
    This document is pretty much a catchall of webcam related issues. There is a section specifically for the device not  appearing in device manager. Check it out, unfortunately if it does not resolve with that then it is likely either a loose connection or fault in the device.

  • How come some of my itunes songs have a "check mark" and ones that do not say the file cannot be found.

    How come some of my ITunes songs have a check mark next to them and the songs that do not have it, I receive a error message " the file could not be found"  The songs are on my Ipod and Ipad2.  Is my itunes library screwed up?  Can someone tell me how to clean up my library?

    This happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout,or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
    Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
    Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes.

  • Not enough available resources

    I bought a Satellite A665-S6050 last month.  I set up the computer and allowed the battery to charge, etc.  After I used it the 2nd day, I logged off instead of shutting down.  When I came back and clicked my user name, the computer had a message that said "not enough available resources, cannot log in as a new user and it told me to use a user that was logged in.  I am the only user right now.  So of course I hit ok and it brings me back to my user id and when I click it again, I just keep getting the same message.  So I have to manually shut down the computer and reboot.  When I reboot I of course get the message that Windows did not close properly, etc. etc.
    Would resources be the "hard drive"?   this is a brand new computer that has 4 gig 500 m - how can there not be enough resources?  If anyone has suggestions please let me know.

    I logged off instead of shutting down.  When I came back and clicked my user name, the computer had a message that said "not enough available resources, cannot log in..
    I suspect a glitch in a Toshiba program that's being loaded along with the desktop. Maybe left in memory and reloading it doesn't play well. Possibly leaks gobs of memory and runs out. Whatever..
    See if you can identify the culprit this way.

  • Workflow Form Issue - Form value not saved in WF container

    Problem, value in the form can not be available for the whole process.
    I created a data structure by SE11.
    In my workflow,
    Step 1: FORM change step, value can be entered.
    Step 2: FORM display step, no value from step one has been display. All fields are blank.
    I don't think I need binding because those value should be saved in workflow container after step 1, when you click save button.
    Am I missing anything(step or binding)?

    Is there a Business Object or Class associated with your form? If you are expecting the data to be available via the BObj or Class then you may have to refresh the Bobj or Class before displaying it. Alternately, make sure your method for changing it refreshes the obj and have the BusObj or Class bound coming back from Step 1 so that you get the updated object.
    If you're expecting to save the form data within the Workflow, you'll have to bind the data both to and from each step.

  • File cannot be found when trying to open emailed fdf file

    Hello all. I'm starting to lose my mind here so I thought I'd ask the community for any help. I'm using Acrobat Pro X. I have a PDF that a new hire is supposed to fill out. All the fields work and save just fine. There's 2 buttons at the end of the document set to email certain fields to a specific email address. When either button is clicked, an .fdf file is attached to a new outlook message. The problem is when the recipient tries to open the attachment, Adobe Acrobat X Pro (and Reader XI) comes up with the following message:
    "The file you are attempting to open contains comments or form data that are supposed to be placed . This document cannot be found. It may have been moved, or deleted. Would you like to browse to attempt to locate this document?"
    The original file is located on a mapped network drive (the same drive letter on both computers). The same message comes up even on the computer the email was sent from. I saved the document with "Enable Additional Features" enabled. I'm getting close to wits end. I need to be able to send the email outside the network but don't want to include the entire PDF as it has confidential information. Any suggestions?

    So the recipients will need an original copy of the PDF in order to import the fdf? I know they'll get confused with that. Is there a way to just email the fields in a text file?

  • "Group cannot be found" exception

    I have the following code:
    m_Web.SiteGroups.Add(groupName, groupOwner, m_Web.CurrentUser, String.Format(Common.SPGroupDescription, m_Web.Name));
    SPGroup newGroup = m_Web.SiteGroups[groupName];
    The above code fails when i try to assign the group i just created to the newGroup variable.
    In my Dev platform which is a 32- bit Windows Server 2008 running WSS 3.0 that code runs perfectly.
    But in my production platform which is a 64-bit Windows Server 2008 i throws an exception saying "Group cannot be found".
    In my dev environment all my unit tests pass, so i don't know what i am doing wrong. Does anyone know how to handle this problem?

    cannot be found” mean that group had no permission within site, to be accessible the group should have at least read permission within the site.
     So if you create new group or your using group with no access, you will have the error
    Resolution :
    Give permission to your group on the site

    Is the HDD recognized in BIOS?
    Go to BIOS by pressing F2 button. Usually the HDD should be listed on the first BIOS page.
    If it’s not listed, the HDD cannot be found by BIOS… I guess due to HDD fault.
    In such case the HDD must be replaced to fix the issue.

    Right Click -> Properties.
    What I did at this point was to select the Identity tab and then select "The Interactive User" (the default was "The launching user").  My app pool was already running as "LocalSystem".  I believe by running it as the Interactive User now that it
    has the right permissions to save workbooks.
    Everything worked after this.
    This was a tough one!
