Format curly brackets in an exitising project

Hi
I have a semi big project, where the brackets style is all messed up, different syles all over the place.
I worked in FDT long time ago. Here there was a place where you could format the brackets in exitisting files. (Not talking about the new code i write but exitisting)
I found an addon called flex formater, but I dont seem to be able to change exitisting code.
Any ideas?

Hi thanks for your answer, but that only correct indentation, that not helping with the brackets.
This is how much of the code is:
someFunciton()
     blah;
somOtherFunciton(){
     blah;
This is how I would like it to be.
someFunciton()
     blah;
somOtherFunciton()
     blah;

  • Curly brackets in variables

    Hi guys, here' my problem:
    Get-DhcpServerv4OptionValue -ScopeId 172.19.1.0 -all -OptionId 132 | Set-DhcpServerv4OptionValue -ScopeId 172.19.2.0 -Value {0x35, 0x35, 0x32}
    work just fine from the powershell prompt.
    Import-Csv .\Nodi.csv -Delimiter ";" | foreach {
        if ($_.Value -ne "-") {
            Get-DhcpServerv4OptionValue -ScopeId 172.19.1.0 -all -OptionId 132 | Set-DhcpServerv4OptionValue -ScopeId $_.ScopeID -Value $_.Value
    Doesn't work:
    Set-DhcpServerv4OptionValue : Parameters for option value to be set for option ID 132 do not match with option definition on DHCP server SAGA.
    At C:\dhcpscripts\Set-ScopeOption43.ps1:6 char:78

    172.19.3.0,{0x35, 0x35, 0x33}
    172.19.4.0,{0x35, 0x35, 0x34}
    If I change, in the script, $_.Value with, for example, {0x35, 0x35, 0x32} it works. The problem is passing the value from the CSV file. When inserting Write-Host $_.Value in the script, it display the values correctly with curly brackets.
    Any suggestion?
    Dario Palermo

    Couple of things to note here:
    The -Value parameter of the Set-DhcpServer4OptionValue cmdlet accepts an array of strings.
    When you type something in curly braces in a PowerShell script (if it's not in quotation marks), you're typically defining a ScriptBlock object.  The literal syntax for these is { <Statements> }.
    When you import a CSV file, you're getting strings.  Strings that happen to contain curly braces are still just strings.
    When you convert a ScriptBlock object into a string, the curly braces are not included in the string output; only the statements inside it.
    Your Import-Csv command mentions a delimiter of ";", but your sample CSV contents have separated the ScopeId and Value fields with commas.  I assume that this was meant to be a semicolon, but commas within the curly braces.
    Is this correct?
    With this in mind, when you run the command locally with -Value { 0x01, 0x02, 0x03 } , what PowerShell is really passing to the command is a string value of " 0x01, 0x02, 0x03 "; the ScriptBlock literal you wrote is converted directly to a string
    for you.  If you ran the command with -Value "{ 0x01, 0x02, 0x03 }", you'd probably get the same error that you're seeing during the CSV import.
    In order to make this work, you'll need to strip out the curly braces from the CSV data (either directly in the file, or at the time of import; doesn't matter), before calling Set-DhcpServer4OptionValue. Try this:
    Import-Csv .\Nodi.csv -Delimiter ";" | foreach {
    if ($_.Value -ne "-") {
    $value = $_.Value -replace '^\s*{\s*|\s*}\s*$'
    Get-DhcpServerv4OptionValue -ScopeId 172.19.1.0 -all -OptionId 132 |
    Set-DhcpServerv4OptionValue -ScopeId $_.ScopeID -Value $value
    This removes the curly braces (and any leading / trailing whitespace, for good measure) from the input data before passing the string on to Set-DhcpServer4OptionValue.

  • Curly brackets - can't activate key "8" and "9" with alt+shift ?

    Hi I am using danish keys on my mac book pro and can't activate the keys 8 and 9 with alt+shift, wherefore I can't easily make curly brackets ?
    Have any of you had same problem or do you know a way around it ?
    I know I kan draw a curly bracket, but it is time consuming.
    So if any of you know a trick - I will be thankful.
    BR

    Sounds as if you are misunterstanding me.
    Glyphs are under the Type menu. There you can see all the characters in the selected font.
    With your type active using the Type tool, just double click on the character you want in the Glyphs palette and it will show up.

  • How do I make a new topic have the same formatting as other topics in a project?

    Hi,
    I am using RH 8 for HTML.  I am updating a preexisting project and am new to RH.  When I create a new topic, how do I get the formatting (fonts, shading, etc.) from another topic?  The old topics are formatted in a certain way.  When I create a new topic, or even paste existing content from an old topic into it, it has different fonts and shading.  Is this something I must do manually, or is there an automatic way?  Either way, I could use some pointers.
    I would past a screen capture here, but when I tried to do that, the formatting went away.
    Thank you for any help you can provide!
    Erin

    Hi there
    Probably it's just a matter of associating the correct CSS file.
    Open both topics in RoboHelp.
    Edit a topic where things look correct.
    Click the CSS icon as shown below:
    Click the image below for larger view
    Now edit the errant topic.
    Click the same icon and choose the CSS file you saw earlier.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Best format to export old iMoveHD imovie projects?

    I currently use iMovie 09, but have a number of older iMovie HD 6 projects that I'd like to save out for viewing on my HD TV via my Apple TV. I was wondering what the best format is for exporting them out. I was playing with several of the Quicktime "Share" options. The Full Quality setting was a HUGE file and made it into a .dv format. I then tried a few of the "Expert Settings". "Movie to Apple TV" setting made a much smaller file size but the quality was marginal with a lot of pixel lines. "Movie to MPEG-4" setting produced an even less quality result but there are many options here that I may not be setting correct. I just want to export out a file that I can then add to my itunes and sync with my Apple TV, iphone and other devices. I want the quality as good as it can be so that it looks good on my TV. Ultimately once I'm satisfied with the result, I'd then like to delete the old iMove HD 6 projects to free up hard drive space. Please advise.

    I want the quality as good as it can be so that it looks good on my TV.
    Full Quality is the way to go.
    Especially if you're planning on deleting the iMovie project.

    I've tried using comparison software but it doesn't help!
    I have attached the section of code that is causing the problem, but I think it may be deeped that just the following section.
    All the brackes "seem" to match, but 271 goes to 501 in theory, but when I rightclick in my software (JCreator) and choose match bracket, it takes me to 531?

  • What format's best for burning iDVD project?

    I have a two hour documentary I'm hoping to burn in iDVD.
    Using Quicktime Pro and/or Mediaclip I created files in these formats: .dv, m4v, mov.
    Given the length of the film, what format file should I import into my iDVD project?
    Thanks very much.
    Bohdan

    First recommendation is to not exceed 2 hours of QuickTime playback (120 mins) for SL media (and twice that for DL). It's actually smart to keep it a few mins. shy of the stated duration/s.
    Secondly, here are the files which work best:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=iDVD/7.0/en/6655.html

  • Is it possible to import both HDV and SD(shot in 16x9 format) in the same imovie 11 project? If so, how, please.

    I am trying to combine both HDV and SD video in the same project and iMovie 11 doesn't want to accept the two different types of files at the import stage.  Help please.

    You need to import the footage into iMovie Events. Once they are in an event (or multiple events) you can drag these clips into an iMovie Project and mix them together.

  • Output format has brackets

    Hi Folks,
    After having looks through the forums for an answer on my query and observing the level of complexity in some of the discussions I'm almost too embarrassed to ask this.
    I am writing a script to use as a Detection Method in Config Mgr 2012. It will detect if the Win7 SP1 installation has completed.
    $SP1 = "6.1.7601"
    $SPInstalled = Get-WmiObject win32_operatingsystem | select version
    IF (Compare-Object $SPInstalled $SP1)
    Write-Host $SP1 "and" $SPInstalled "are different"
    ELSE
    Write-Host $SP1 " and " $SPInstalled " are equal"
    This will return 6.1.7601 and @{version=6.1.7601} are different
    I am a long time vbScripter so I know its possible to manipulate the output of the WMI query with Regular Expressions and remove the unwanted text
    @{version= }
    However, I have no doubt there is a built in Powershell function that would return just the value of the Version attribute. What's the best way to do this?
    Thanks,
    Mic

    You can use expand property -
    $SP1 = "6.1.7601"
    $SPInstalled = Get-WmiObject win32_operatingsystem | select -ExpandProperty version
    IF (Compare-Object $SPInstalled $SP1)
    Write-Host $SP1 "and" $SPInstalled "are different"
    ELSE
    Write-Host $SP1 " and " $SPInstalled " are equal"
    Or just grab the version value
    $SP1 = "6.1.7601"
    $SPInstalled = Get-WmiObject win32_operatingsystem | select version
    IF (Compare-Object $SPInstalled $SP1)
    Write-Host $SP1 "and" $SPInstalled.version "are different"
    ELSE
    Write-Host $SP1 " and " $SPInstalled.version " are equal"

  • Best format for new project.

    I suspect the information I am seeking exists somehere in these forums, but I can't locate it here or in Apple's Help. Thanks in advance for your advice.
    I am finding it hard to figure out which format to use for a new project. My confusion probably stems from the fact that iMovie is designed primary for use with a DV video camera, but that's not where I am starting from.
    I have a bunch of mpeg-4 video clips that I imported using EyeTV from old VHS tapes. I can convert them to DV, but it takes a long time and the files are obviously MUCH larger. I notice that I can start an iMovie project in mpeg 4 format. Can I remain in the MPEG-4 format throughout the editing process and then burn with iDVD or Toast 7 with good results? (That it to say, similar in quality to transcoding to DV and working in that format.)
    Thanks,
    Greg

    Can I remain in the MPEG-4 format throughout the editing process and then burn with iDVD or Toast 7 with good results?
    I honestly don't know.
    Why not do both with the same clip and see for yourself? You need two projects in iMovie, but you can add both to the same iDVD project. It will only cost you a DVD-R disc.

  • No curly or square brackets in xorg in Swedish keyboard layout

    Hi!
    I'm using the Swedish keyboard layout in xorg (se), but the curly och square brackets does not seem to be displayed as they should.
    When I enter AltGr + 7, I should get a curly bracket ( { ), but now it gives me a û.  AltGr + 8 equals a Û (should be [ ), AltGr + 9 equals ý (should be ] ) and AltGr + 0 equals Ý (should be } ).
    Here's my xorg.conf for the Keyboard input device:
    Section "InputDevice"
    Identifier "Keyboard0"
    Driver "kbd"
    Option "XkbModel" "logiultrax"
    Option "XkbLayout" "se"
    EndSection
    Anyone have a clue what's going on?

    Check your /etc/rc.conf so that you've set your locale and keymap right, that part of my rc.conf:
    LOCALE="sv_SE.UTF-8"
    HARDWARECLOCK="UTC"
    USEDIRECTISA="no"
    TIMEZONE="Europe/Stockholm"
    KEYMAP="sv-latin1"
    As for xorg.conf, I'm actually running completely without it. Which I could recommend as long as you're not using the proprietary drivers from NVidia or ATI or so.

  • IDVD PROJECTS -  DVD-R - Formatting

    1 Is there any way to preserve all of the screen formatting done after you import a project from FCE. Every time i tweak a video in fce and the n export it to a .mov file - I have ot waste a whole bunch of time re-importing it to IDVD redoing all my menus redoing all the chapters etc etc --- IS there any way i can import a new version of a .MOV into IDVD, and maintain he dvd formatting while replacing the content ?
    2 WHy is it better to burn using lower speed and on a DVD-R format in a MAC environment.
    3 How can i convert a .img file to a format that titanium would eat?

    1. There is a known bug in iDVD that precludes you from making any edits to a movie already in your iDVD project, if the project contains chapter markers.
    The result is that all chapters default to the same one. There is no 'fix' for this--you must create a new iDVD project. Even if you see the message that iDVD recognizes that you have made changes (assets have been modified) and asks if you want the changes incorporates into the project, it does not do it properly.
    If you'd like to have the same settings in your new iDVD project, you can use 'Grab' to take screen shots of your iDVD project menus/submenus and the Inspector settings for each of them.
    If you have a movie without chapter markers in an iDVD project, you may be able to edit the movie and have the changes made in iDVD without problems.
    2. It is better to use the lower burn speed to reduce burn errors.
    3. Mount the .img image. You should see the TS folders, audio and video. Follow these steps:

  • Formatting display value in LOV

    I have an LOV whose display value is a concatenation of 2 database fields. That works fine. But I want to put a tab in between the
    2 fields, otherwise the values are displayed one right after the other, and the columns are out of alignment from one row to the next.
    In sqlplus, I can do:
    select CHR(9)||to_char(objecttype_id)||CHR(9)||objecttype_name from hdb_objecttype;
    And I get:
    12 acoustic velocity meter
    1 basin
    11 canal
    2 climate site
    3 confluence
    4 diversion
    10 hydro plant unit
    5 hydro power plant
    6 reach
    7 reservoir
    14 riverware dataobject
    When I do the same thing in my LOV query, I get
    12 acoustic velocity meter
    1 basin
    11 canal
    2 climate site
    3 confluence
    4 diversion
    10 hydro plant unit
    5 hydro power plant
    6 reach
    7 reservoir
    14 riverware dataobject
    I've tried lpad and rpad, also. With blanks as padding they produce the above results. If I use a character such as '.' they behave
    correctly, but I still don't have standard field widths because of the variance in character sizes.
    Why won't any of this formatting work, and how can I get it to?
    Thanks,
    Carol

    Hi, Carol,
    In addition to what Max said, you may be displaying this in a region where whitespace is compressed; in which case you would need to use non-breaking spaces in place of regular spaces:
    SELECT     REPLACE ( RPAD ( TO_CHAR (objecttype_id)
                     , 10
                     ) || objecttype_name
               , CHR (38) || 'nbsp;'      -- CHR (38) is ampersand
    ...Speaking of compressing whitespace, this site does it.
    So when you say

    When you post formatted text (such as the results above) on this site, type these 6 characters:
