  • Form compiled on windows don't run in unix

    Hi All:
I create and compile successfully a form in Oracle form builder 10g but when I copied to the HP Unix server in order to run it using Oracle Application Server it does not show on the script.
I try to compile it on Unix using f90genm but I get this error:
    /opt/oracle/product/forms10g/bin/f90genm.sh[51]: 13282 Bus error(coredump)
this is what the script have on line 51:
    $ORACLE_HOME/bin/f90genm $*
Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.

what could be the problem with this? i am assuming that a jar file created in any OS will run in any other OS, since
Java is 'write once, run anywhere"Unless you do platform specific things, like using windows paths in your code.
"Does nothing" usually indicates that an exception happens which you swallow in your code.

  • Problem in installing Forms 6 on Windows 2000

I have problem in installing forms 6 on windows 2000.
    Please advise me.

    Hello,
I've been using Dev 2000 ver 6i for several months sucessfully on Win 2K RC2. The compiled .fmx's work fine with the ver 6.0 runtime environment under NT 4.0.
The only problem is that the Forms Server won't work till the 1st patch set comes out
(only Oracle knows when!) , so you can't test or deploy the forms as web apps on Win 2K yet. OAS 4.0 appears to work ok on Win 2K.
I have been using the Beta version of Dev 6i and will upgrade to the release version eventually, probably when the patch comes out.

  • Forms compilation Errors under Linux

    Hello,
    I have a main form called Tbdoctrk.fmb.
This forms compiles and runs perfectly through Oracle 9i iDS.
When transfering the fmb file under Linux, and attempting to recompile using the f90genm.sh utility, I get the following compilation errors:
FRM-18108: Failed to load the following objects.
FRM-30436: Parent window not specified for canvas.View Canvas H_TOOLBAR
FRM-30041: Position of item places it off of canvas.
    Item: BUTTON_HELP
    Block: VARIABLE
    Form: TBDOCTRK
FRM: Unable to adjust form for output.
    ====
I noticed that most of the object that failed to load (1 data block object, 1 canvas and a number of property classes and visual attributes) are contained in a file called TOOLBAR.fmb.
The TOOLBAR.fmb file compiles without errors under Linux/WIndows + is located in the same folder as the Tbdoctrk.fmb file.
    1) How can I resolve this issue ?
    PT
PS: I tried renaming the fmb files to upper/lower case without success.

    Hello,
My main form called Tbdoctrk.fmb in turn calls a form called Pre_bord.fmb in a Program Unit.
Most but not all Class and Value Attributes are included in a file called toolbar.fmb. I did not find any specific reference to the toolbar.fmb file.
However, at compile time, I find that those objects are not loaded.
    1) In what part of the main form Tbdoctrk.fmb should I find any such reference to the toolbar.fmb file ?
    2) How should I create those symbolic links under Linux ?

  • Help Installing Forms 11G on Windows 7 64 Bit

I am trying to install. I installed 64 bit Java JDK, Weblogic generic server, and finally Portal, Forms, Reports and Discoverer (11.1.1.2.0). When the Portal, Forms, Reports, and Discover install get to step 6 of 16, it reports: INST-07408: Unable to install or configure the product on a 32-bit JVM on a 64-bit machine. Note that the error seems to be a complaint against a JVM, not a JDK. Does anyone have a fix?

    hi
Oracle Forms certified on Windows 7 and IE8
I've seen this question come up a number of times recently so just to make clear. Oracle Forms 11.1.1.2 (which is the first patch set to 11g) is certified to run again Window7/IE8 browser clients.
Full details of Forms client certification can be found here:

  • Compiling with Windows XP

I've just installed J2SE 1.4.0 and am having problems with the classpath. I've tried setting it as explained in the Help section on the java.sun site, however I still get the error message:
'javac' is not recognised as an internal or external command, operational program or batch file
How exactly should I go about setting the classpath and what is the format that it should take?

I have a same proplem when compiling with Windows XP.
    I set
    PATH=C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\System32
    Wbem;C:\j2sdk1.4.0_01\bin.Could you please tell me
more about this problem. Thanks a alot!Open a console window.
    Type the following command
    set
Verify that the PATH looks like what you think it does. If it doesn't fix it.
    Then do this
    cd C:\j2sdk1.4.0_01\bin
    set PATH=.
    javac -?
If you still get the same error then something is wrong with the install. Examine the bin directory. There should be a number of exe files in it including javac.

  • Compiling for Windows and Java

    Hi All
This is a deff newbie question. Basically i have a program that will compile in Windows, but if I try and compile it in Linux (CentOS) then I get 48 errors all related to graphics of constructors.
It was my understanding that Java was meant to be platform independent, or is that just a myth?
Is there any way that i can resolve this, or find a tool that will show me what wont compile under linux and why?

    I have a
program that will compile in Windows, but if I try
and compile it in Linux (CentOS) then I get 48 errors
all related to graphics of constructors. Difficult to say without the actual compiler messages.
You may be missing some jar(s) in your classpath.

    Hi DurgaSrinivas_886836 ,
You should post your query on Oracle E Business Suite forums, not here.
You are trying to compile Forms 10g with f60gen, and using all the settings of Forms 6. That is obviously wrong.
You need to use the correct commands for 10g, frmcmp from the bin folder of DevSuite10g home. Trying random combinations will not get you anywhere. Read the documentation for 10g.
Better post on EBS forum. There may be other issues like no support for 10g in EBS 11.5.xx.xx that you are using.

  • Is it possible to open the Task Form in new window?

    Hi,
For the Oracle Business Process Workspace (BPM 11g), when opening a work item, is it possible to configure out the Workspace to open the Task Form in new window instead of opening in the bottom section under the work item list?
    Thanks

    "your project folder in workspace"\webRoot\webResources
under the above path, you will have img folder and place the image containing your custom logo.
under the same path you will have src folder
in that folder you can place your custom css file (eg. mycustomstyles.css) and you need to define your styles in this file
you can call the style items for the presentation objects at design time for labels and all other objects. But do not forget to refer your custom css file in the properties section.
Once you open the bpm presentation object in which you want to apply your css, in properties pane you observe four options in CSS sub section of properties. Here select the CSS file with webroot path and give appropriate styles to each presentation data objects.
hope this is clear to you.

  • To open Adobe Interactive Form in New Window

    Hi Folks
I want to open Adobe interactive form in new window not in popup. This form should contain data passed from parent view.
    Please help
    - Mandeep Virk

    Hi,
Can you explain your requriement clearly.
You have two views ParentView and PDFView. Two views embedded in Window1.
By default ParentView will be displayed.
Now you are navigating from ParentView to PDFView. Then ParentView will be replaced by PDFView in Window1.
So here what is ur requriement. Why do you want an seperate Window here.
If you want to open the PDFView in a popup. Just create another Window2. Ember PDFView in Window2. Now from ParentView opent Window2 as a model/external popup.
Open View or Window in a external window (popup)

  • Open form in separate window

    Hi gentlemen
I have parent form include button this button when the user press it, it will call the other form but in same window (that what I don’t want)
My question is how I can open another form in separate window (same as when you open it alone)

    Use open_form..
Read the help in Form builder for the open_form built-in... Pay particular attention to the 'SESSION' or 'NO_SESSION" argument. Pick your flavor.
For every application that I have ever made including and above Forms 5.0 I always use...
    open_form('myform', ACTIVATE, SESSION);
This opens a form up in its own window, gives it focus, and makes a new separate session.

  • Smart form in another window

    Hi all,
Can it be possible to display Smart Form in another window rather than main screen (screen of report calling to that smart form).
    please let me know.
    regards,
    vikas.

TO call a Smartform, we have to call its corresponding F/M.
Here what you can do is, before calling this F/M, set a custom screen and Call that screen first. (say, Call Screen 9000)
Then in the PBO of that screen 9000, call the Smartform F/M.
Do let me know if this worked for you.
