Formula Modification and Refresh Error
The formula used to add flexibility to the report in terms of cell reference is suddenly working sporadically in our production and quality environments. We are on EPM NW 10 SP 15 Net 3.5. Here is an example where the formula does not work. Note that row 1 is a cell reference to the context member for the TIME dimension; this is selected by the end user. All other months are a member offset formula based on the prior cell. Row 39 is the EPM Olap member formula. THe formula is modified to look at row 1 and use the TIME member in row 1 vs. the TIME member per the report editor. However, in this case, the refresh worksheet is not properly refreshing the OLAP formula as in column V and cell V39, we should see the TIME member 2013.04 and not 2014.12.
This formula modification has worked for us for the 3 years that we have been using BPC...versions 7.0, 7.5 and 10.0; up until about 3 weeks ago. We are implementing Consolidations and thought the problem was isolated to our test environment but recently discovered that it is also an issue in our production environment as well. So, reports that used to work fine in production are now not refreshing properly. Although, some reports using the formula modification are not impacted and do refresh properly. We also use the formula modification for other dimensions besides the TIME dimension.
I am aware that there are other ways to handle getting a 12 month trend setup. That is not the problem here. The problem is getting this formula modification to work as we use it in all different kinds of scenarios other than a 12 month trend.

If this problem is arising when you refresh workbook.Then you try by refreshing worksheet, and if you have to refresh workbook,
Then you can write a VBA to refresh each sheet.

PowerPivot refresh error with data feed from sharepoint list with empty exception information

My Powpivot refreshing error seems to be different from what others already experienced.
Scenario:
Constructed an external data source in the format of Http://<server_IP>/sites/<mysitecollection>/_vti_bin/listdata.svc
selected one table with some of the needed columns in the next step
Create calculate colums etc.
Create pivot tables etc.
All worked well offline
Upload the workbook into PowerPivot Gallery
Reference it from a page through Excel Web Service webpart allowing manual refresh
The refresh always reports failure with the named external data source
I opend the log file in C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Web Server Extensions\15\LOGS and located the following error messages:
ASPPHOST::ShowEngineError: Out of line object 'DataSource', referring to ID(s) 'f8939b694cae', has been specified but has not been used。The following exception occurred while the managed IDbCommand interface was being used: .
Please note in the above message, NO detailed exception message was given. In other words,
the exception information is empty.
I checked as many things as I possibly could includin the security accounts etc. All seem to be right. But this empty exception got me stuck here.
What could possibly go wrong? Any help will be appreciated.

Odata Connection Refresh Error while using excel web app - Project Online 2013

I am trying to work with odata reporting on project online 2013. I am not using MS Excel client, I open any of the available default report in excel online. when i try to refresh data connection from data tab. it's giving me an error

HT203200 I upgraded to 11.4 and get error message -50 when trying to signin. My PC is XP.
I reinstalled iTunes 10.? as could not previously show all new podcasts and apps, only some, this new upgrade showed all new podcasts and apps. But then could not sync at all so I downloaded 11.4, now I cannot signin and get ''We could not complete you iTunes store request. An unknown error occurred (-50).''. Have turned off Windows firewall to no avail. Firewall is not enacted in my other anti-virus program.

In the research I have been doing it seems like this specific error is usually caused by some sort of security software as it secures incoming and outgoing packets. Eliminate third-party security software conflicts.
There may be third-party software installed that modifies your default packet size in Windows by inserting one or more TcpWindowSize entries into your registry. Your default packet size being set incorrectly can cause this error. Contact the manufacturer of the software that installed the packet-size modification for assistance. Or, follow this article by Microsoft: How to reset Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) to reset the packet size back to the default for Windows.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, bypassing any routers, hubs, or switches. You may need to restart your computer and modem to get online.
There are other steps in the article but they are more for restoring/syncing issues. I feel these are the important ones for your situation.

A webi report is created on the top of BEx query using WebI Rich Client.
The report refreshed in rich client.
When the report is exported to Infoview and refreshed/scheduled, then it is throwing an error:

Have you Exported the universe?
So If possible try with Admin User ID and if it is availabe then problem with assining authorization to universe connection and universe.....

I have multiple queries now
1. I pushed the account hierarchy using ODI. Capex and Wrkforce have been initialised on my application before pushing the hierarchy. In the log it show that member 'buildings' already exist. When i checked the hierarchy there are other members with 'buildings' as part of them like AFE-Buildings.
2. Also, when the database refresh is run the capex default account members are not visible in the hiearchy. They are seen in the planning applcn but not in the EAS console
3. Can we de-initialise workforce and capex?

I am not sure what you mean in question 1, if there is a member in any of the dimension called "buildings" then it will fail as it is a duplicate.
If you see the members in planning and refresh from planning with no errors then it is more than likely they in exist in one of the cubes, make sure you have the plan types correctly set up in planning and are checking the cube that relates to the plan type.

Native Canvas Painting and Refresh
Hi,
I have a project where I get live video from a firewire camera, and paint it to an awt Canvas natively using JNI. I need additional items painted on the canvas (on top of the video), like a pair of crosshairs and rulers to measure certain widths, etc. The software tracks an object moving across the screen, so the crosshairs need to be moved around and refreshed often.
I am getting a strange problem - the natively painted video is working just fine, but the painted objects are not refreshing properly. For example, instead of getting a crosshair that moves around the screen, I get a trail of crosshairs. And underneath the crosshairs, the video is refreshing just fine. What's going on? I'm using libXv, an X-windows extension to paint YUV4:2:2 camera buffers directly to the screen.

I'm not sure how the crosshairs can be out of sync with the video stream - the canvas paint routines paint the video frame natively, and then paint the crosshairs. It's all sequential -

I'd get two crosshairs on the screen. I had to use a hack from the xwindows utility xrefresh everytime the crosshairs changed. It essentially simulated an x-window that opened over the Qt window, and then immediately closed. This worked well, but I thought I'd be free of that hack when I moved to java and JNI. Isn't this bizarre? Why would the window hold on to the old crosshair even when the varialbes change and there isn't any code that repaints it there after the video frame gets blitted?

Hi i keep getting the following message errors The formula contains a syntax error. I have working with lookup formula so when i change hours is changes the price. Just need to get a total for hours x number of people x price cant seem to get there.
Thanks DannyIt's hard to say from your screenshot, but it appears you are either attempting to make a cell reference itself, or the reference is empty.
There is no need for the parentheses since algebraic hierarchy will result in the same answer.
Capture the row and column data, post a more descriptive screenshot, or describe the required calculation in greater detail. -

Error 6 can be tricky. It usually is related to a 3rd party software conflict like security software or a modification of your TCP/IP protocol. It the article that you referenced, iTunes: Specific update-and-restore error messages and advanced troubleshooting, see the section labeled "Errors related to third-party security software". Go ahead and try the first two of that section. If that does not work an uninstall of your antivirus software or attempting to restore on a new computer might be necessary. I have included the links to those steps below.

E Sourcing 7.0: Formula Pricing and Line Item Formula

I am currently working on e sourcing 7.0. Here there are new features provided in Rfx->Line Item setup called Formula Prcing and Line Item Formula
I was trying to use Line Item Formula feature to provide pricing formula for line items.I chose pricing structure as Formula Prcing and tried to advance the phase of Rfx, System gave an error that I need to create unit price formula if I choose Formula Pricing.But once I create unit price formula it makes the Line Item Formula redundant.
Moreover the problem with unit price formula is Unit Price field is only available with Line Item Formula.It doesnot allow me to create an effective unit price formula beacuse of limitations of field at exposure.
Has anybody used this feature? Kindly help me understand

I hope members who have used this feature chime in. I am only playing with Formula Pricing because we are evaluating these as well.
I was not able to use the standard fields when using Formula Pricing.
I am retracting what I said in the last post, apologies, I made a mistake in the supplier response.
From what I understand now:
If you want to have sub components of the unit price (or more important, any other calculations for unit price), you should choose "Formula Pricing" under Pricing Structure. E.g., my company asks for supplier's manufacturing costs, their purchased parts cost etc all of which contribute to make up the unit price. In this example, I created Supplier Entered Attributes for Manufacturing Cost and Purchased Parts Cost and added a Unit Price formula which was the sum of both. In addition, I created a Supplier Entered Attribute for "Freight Cost" which is not really a part of the unit price, but is an additional cost. In Line Item Formulas, I added 2 formulae, just for example.
Total Freight Cost = Quantity * Freight Cost (Supplier Entered Attribute)
Total Calculated Cost = Total Freight Cost + (UnitPrice(IncoTerm) * Quantity)
Part 1 - Quantity = 10, Manufacturing Cost = 5, Purchased Part Cost = 5, Freight = 3
Part 2 - Quantity = 10, Manufacturing Cost = 6, Purchased Part Cost = 6, Freight = 3
System correctly calculated
Part 1 Unit Price = 10
Part 1 Unit Price = 12
Part 1 Total Freight Cost = 10 * 3 = 30
Part 2 Total Freight Cost = 10 * 3 = 30
Sum=60
Part 1 Total Calculated Cost = 30 + (10*10) = 130
Part 2 Total Calculated Cost = 30 + (10*12) = 150
Sum = 280
If you do not need the sub-components of the Unit Price, we can leave the pricing structure at Unit Price. I did that for an RFX, and also added the same 2 formulae in Line Item Formulas as above. This worked fine for me.
Part 1 - Quantity = 10, Unit Price = 3, Freight = 5
Part 2 - Quantity = 10, Unit Price = 3, Freight = 5
System correctly calculated:
Part 1 Total Freight Cost = 10 * 5 = 50
Part 2 Total Freight Cost = 10 * 5 = 50
Sum=100
Part 1 Total Calculated Cost = 50 + (10*3) = 80
Part 2 Total Calculated Cost = 50 + (10*3) = 80
Sum = 160
Both the above scenarios work fine for me.
The only open item is, I could not find a way to get these added to the Total Cost and Total Price listed on the "RFX Responses tab". I don't think it is possible to do that. I think you have to view these in the "Formula View" of the respective supplier proposal.

and i seen some errors under WITHOUT MODIFICATION ASSISTENCE and the errors are of database tables related that are structues and i opened that structures and checked the syntax(consistency) it is giving warning messages i.e 1) field name is reserved (i.e DATE) 2) table is not yet classified .

I've called Netflix twice with the error code F7361-1253 that shows up, to no avail. The first time the guy said it wasn't a Netflix code and didn't know what to do. The second time a different guy said to go to Internet Explorer to see if Netflix would play. Since it did, he said the problem was with Firefox. I have tried updating plug-ins, and refreshing Firefox, but nothing is working.
I see you're using the Beta version of Firefox. Support for Netflix using the new Primetime Content Decryption Module is not complete in Firefox 38.
You'll need use Firefox 37 (the current version) with Microsoft Silverlight to watch videos on Netflix.
