  • Reports 6.0 CGI error on NT4.0

    I am having trouble running a Reports 6.0 report via my web
    browser. I have a simple report that runs fine on my desktop.
    I have RWMTS60 (multi-tier server) running as an NT service. I
    have RWCGI60 in my web server's /cgi-bin directory. I have
    environment variables REPORTS60_WEBLOC,
    REPORTS60_WEBLOC_TRANSLATED, and REPORTS60_PATH set.
    The HTTP command string that I am using is as follows:

    pport@odbc:LocalServer:software_web_site+destype=cache+desformat=

    I keep getting the following CGI error:
    "The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a
    complete set of HTTP headers. The headers it did return are:".
    I think I probably didn't prepare my report correctly to output

    Check the doc - [Developer's Guide|http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/820-6602/abwbw?l=en&a=view] . The permissions of private directory should be set to 500.

    We do not offer a JDBC driver for Linux in version 5.1. In version 6.0,we
    do offer a type 4 driver for Linux.
    In version 5.1, I suggest trying the platform independent type 4 JDBC driver
    available for free from Oracle. It is supported (as is any JDBC driver)
    with WebLogic Server. To download it:
    Go to http://www.oracle.com and select the "Download" option.
    From the resulting page, use the "Select Utility or Driver" dropdown to
    select Oracle JDBC drivers
    From the resulting page, scroll down a little (since SQLJ stuff appears at
    the top).
    Or, to go directly there:
    http://technet.oracle.com/software/tech/java/sqlj_jdbc/software_index.htm

  • CGI Errors with different browsers

    I developed a form on a website
    http://www.brianspride.com/form.html
    and the form submits fine in Safari, but displays the error below
    in Firefox and IE. I looked on hundreds of web sites and was hoping
    Adobe would have a posting, but I found nothing. Any help would be
    much appreciated. I am a graphic designer with limited CGI
    know-how.
    Is there something that needs to be changed in the HTML or in
    the .pl file? I created the form in Dreamweaver and didn't know
    there would have to be additional programming. Any thoughts?
    Error: Bad Header Fields
    The header fields, which include recipient, email, realname
    and subject were filled in with invalid values. You may not include
    any newline characters in these parameters.

    Actually, that's not what would be causing the problem. We'd
    need to see
    the section of the script that is processing the form -
    action="/cgi-sys/formmail.pl"
    to see what might be happening.

  • Forte Install: Error in instructions. Invalid jvm file...

    When I try to install Forte (Sun ONE Studio 4)(I tries CE, CE bundled with J2SE1.4 and EE) on a WIndows XP system I get the following message:
    "Error in instructions. Invalid jvm file name specified in LAUNCH. Invalid variable specification. Line number (4)" (That is line number (5) for installation of the bundle).
    This happens while InstallShield states:
    "Searching for Java(tm) Virtual Machine... Verifying Java 1.3.X by Sun Microsystems"
    I tried probably every combination of the 3 Forte above with J2re1.4.1, j2sdk1.3.1_05,j2sdk1.4.0_02,j2sdk1.4.1 and no SDK/JRE installed. I tried the .sp file in the download directory this the problem seemed related, I gave him pathes, I installed from the cmd with -is:javahome C:\jdk1.3.1_05 (and all the other locations it was installed to)...
    Anybody has any clue? If you have any question about my system, just ask

    I have a same problem. I fail to install "Sun One Studio 4 (Forte, Community Edition)".
    My environment is "j2sdk1.4.1 on windowse2000".
    I can install same package in same environment (as far as I believe) on another machine...
    Thanks and best regards.

  • Forte syntax error...

    Hi,
    I got a syntax error from Forte (3.0.M.2) for the next assignments
    however they are working if the declaration and assignment is
    written separately.
    locTD : TaskDesc = start task self.Run() where completion = event;
    gives "syntax error (Last symbol: start)" but
    locTD : TaskDesc;
    locTD = start task self.Run() where completion = event;
    works fine
    The same is true for eventhandler registration:
    locER : EventRegistration = register self.TestEH();
    results in "syntax error (Last symbol: register)" while
    locER : EventRegistration;
    locER = register self.TestEH();
    is OK
    Any idea for the reason behind???

    Hello Forte-Users,
    i got only one reply on my problem, so i will explain the problem more
    clearly.
    in the include File: FORTE_ROOT/install/os/os.h
    is a definition: '#define qqOS_HUGE'
    The compiler fails in File: FORTE_ROOT/install/cmn/osmm.h line 4
    in the Class Definition: 'class qqOS_HUGE qqsh_Task;'
    with the following error:
    FORTE_ROOT/install/inc/cmn/osmm.h", line 4.1: 1506-166 (S) Definition of
    function class requires parentheses.
    Does anyone know which option or failure in the environment of the
    C-Compiler occures this error?
    Works someone on a RS6000 with an AIX C-Compiler on AIX 4.2?
    So please look at your configuration settings and help me.
    I know that a function needs parentheses, but this code (everybody have the
    same Header-Files on his/her machine) wants to define a class and no
    parentheses are needed for class definition.

  • Forte C++:error: Multiple Declaration for std::exception

    Hi,
    I am trying to compile code written in C++ 4.2/solrais 2.6 with Forte 6 C++ compiler on Solaris 7. Getting the following error.
    /opt/SUNWspro/WS6/include/CC/exception.h Line 17: Multiple Declaration for std::exception.
    Tried running only the preprocessor using -E option and noticed from the output that both "exception" and "exception.h" contents included.
    Any help!

    I got this same error and was able to fix it by eliminating
    #include <math.h> in my code.
    As it turned out this #include was not needed.
    It then compiled in standard mode.
    Hope this helps.

  • Forte C++ error: Multiple declaration for std::tm

    I am trying to compile a program (in standard mode) a program that used
    to compile OK in SC4.2 and still compiles OK in compat (but I need
    to compile it standard mode). Forte C++ 6.0 gives me the error:
    CC -c -O -mt -KPIC -D_REENTRANT ... file.c
    "/usr/include/time.h", line 30: Error: Multiple declaration for std::tm.
    "/usr/include/wchar.h", line 21: Error: Multiple declaration for std::tm.
    2 Error(s) detected.
    I include time.h, but wchar.h is included from the chain:
    /opt/SUNWspro/WS6/include/CC/iostream.h
    /opt/SUNWspro/WS6/include/CC/Cstd/./istream
    /opt/SUNWspro/WS6/include/CC/Cstd/./ios
    /opt/SUNWspro/WS6/include/CC/Cstd/rw/rwlocale
    /opt/SUNWspro/WS6/include/CC/Cstd/./string
    /opt/SUNWspro/WS6/include/CC/std/wchar.h
    So can't I include iostream.h and time.h together?

    Why are you using major include files with dot-h extentions in Standard Mode? Don't you mean to use #include <ctime> and #include <iostream>?

  • CGI error(HTTP4044) occurred  on SJS WS 6.1 sp4

    Hi,
    An error continuely occurred when a CGI page is requested. But other CGI pages work well.
    There is no problem until yesterday. I didn't modify the program source.
    Look at this error log.
    [10/Nov/2005:14:55:57] failure (332158):      for host 134.75.191.65 trying to GET /cgi-bin/ikimm_mis/Intra/mis.cgi, cgi_scan_headers reports: HTTP4044: the CGI program /app/cgi-bin/ikimm_mis/Intra/mis.cgi did not produce a valid header (program terminated without a valid CGI header. Check for core dump or other abnormal termination)
    [10/Nov/2005:14:56:44] failure (332158):      for host 134.75.191.65 trying to GET /cgi-bin/ikimm_mis/Intra/mis.cgi, cgi_scan_headers reports: HTTP4044: the CGI program /app/cgi-bin/ikimm_mis/Intra/mis.cgi did not produce a valid header (program terminated without a valid CGI header. Check for core dump or other abnormal termination)
    My Web Server is SJS WS 6.1 sp4 and OS is AIX.
    Is there anybody who knows this problem?

    The error says that something went wrong while running that CGI. As the error states, "Check for core dump or other abnormal termination".
    If that particular CGI was working fine yesterday then something must have changed in the system or dependencies that makes it fail today, even if the CGI source itself wasn't altered. Step through the CGI code to see where it is failing and why and go from there.

    Sun WS 6.1 / Windows Server 2003
    We are intermittently seeing the following WS errors
    [19/Dec/2004:08:32:41] failure ( 188): for host 66.161.77.163 trying to POST /cgi-bin/transact.pl, send-cgi reports: HTTP4046: error occurred while sending content to script (The pipe is being closed.)
    [19/Dec/2004:08:32:41] failure ( 188): HTTP4087: cgi_send:cgi_start_exec C:\Perl\bin\perl.exe failed
    Any ideas / suggestions?
    Thanks.

    Thank you for the suggestions.
    The application interfacing to the NIDAQ card is the only application running on the PC. At times something minor may run, but it is reproducable with no other applications active.
    It was also reproducable not long after restarting the system. Did not see any memory usage issues relating to the occurrences.
    Alteration of the sampling rate is not an option, as we have been using these for the past decade plus for data collection. (Difference now being a re-write to upgrade to DAQmx from Traditional, so as to support Windows Vista PCs.)
    We are trying new cables connecting between the source and 6110 board.
