Forum subscriptions

Have you ever replied to a post or started a new thread, or found an interesting discussion on the forum, only to not find it when you go to check for any further replies?
We’ve thought about that and have a solution for you!
You can subscribe to a thread (or indeed a whole board) by clicking on the dropdown called “Topic options” (or, for subscriptions at board level, it’s called “Board options”) and click on “Subscribe”.
You will then receive an email notification when someone posts a new message.
You can review how often you want to receive a notification by:
Clicking on “My Settings”:
Click on the “Subscriptions & Bookmarks” tab:
Go to “Notification Settings”:
You can then select from the dropdown for how often you want to be notified.
Thanks @voxish for raising this over the weekend, and to @Keith_Beddoe and @pottyperson for proving the answer!

HughR,
Ouch.   We did some restructuring in the forum and moved a lot of threads and this broke subscriptions.
Apologies for that!
I believe that the 14-16 different KitKat issues that Amy was working late last year have all made their way through to OTAs in Jan / Feb.
Apologies for the inconvenience caused.  I really appreciate that you were using subscriptions and found value in participating here as a path to work with us in getting these issues understood and addressed.
Best regards,
Mark

  • Forum Subscription Notifications [FIXED]

Sorry if this is in the wrong place - I didn't see a more appropriate place to post it.
I am not getting email notifications to new posts in threads I subscribe to on this site. I have no spam filters, and recieve topic notifications from 30+ other forums I belong to across the internet.
Also, I cannot seem to find it in 'My Settings' - where do I go to verify my registered email address on this site?
    Jeff

Been there, done that. Numerous times.  Verified that all settings are set to "All Posts" and "Immediately".
I also just found and verified that my email address is correct at:
    http://support.linksys.com/en-us/support -> Edit Profile
    Now what?

  • Subscriptionlink deleting subscriptions...

    Hello SDN,
Our problem is the same as per the below forum:
Subscription notification email - deleted clicking on link - Urgent
We are having the same problem and I am not seeing the fix.  I am currently at EP 6.0.13 and according to the post above, it was said to be fixed in SP12.
Can someone verify that the fix was applied in SP12 (and still exists in SP13)?  Our link still/only deletes the subscription which is the command clearly shown in the URL.
I would rather a simple fix/workaround than to have to apply a Patch... but a solution is what I need and I don't mind how to get there...
We checked out SUBSCRIPTIONADMIN (XML and XSL) and are weary to change anything without better knowledge.
    Thanks and warm regards,
    Judson

    Hi Patricio,
I have found that the mistake was mine; the SAPInst order of SAPCAR represented whether or not the EP or the KM platform was updated.  I can confirm that the fix was actualy introduced in SPS13 as my KM system was still at SP9 when the problem happened.  When I looked at the version_id.txt for KM - it clicked to me that the KM upgrade to SPS13 was not done.  When I (correctly) applied the patch, it began to work again.
Also, following the REAL KM patch the ToolArea search and a few other anomolies self-corrected.
I would suggest checking the KLM version from the ID file.
    Sorry,
    Judson

  • How do I log out of the Forum

I'm subscribed to a bunch of forums but when I go to my main account's forum profile, it lists a diff. email address than the one the emails are going to, and says I'm not subscribed to any forums.
So before posting that screen shot (as you guys recommend in the tech note) I'd like to log out of my main account (this one) and log in with what I think might be my "forum subscription account", but I've been searching for 20 minutes and can't find a log out button. Not even a "you're not anne-marie?" link.
Where is the log out button/link?
    AM

    YES! Thank you thank you.
And as I suspected, I had subscribed to a bunch of forums under my lists account, so I was able to unsubscribe.
But during this process I think I FOUND the secret Log Out link, it's at the top of the sidebar when you're looking at the "home page" of Adobe Forums (with the logos of the programs). Just click the left-most breadcrumb above, "Adobe Forums," under your user name, to get to that page, and there you'll see the Log Out link.
    Gracias Claudio!

  • Search Match in Community NI Discussion Forums - message format

Is there a way to go back to just a plain text format for search match notification messages?  I don't need a link to ni.com on every message and the format gets messed up anyway for those of us with text clients.  If we could use the same format as the NI Discussion Forums Subscriptions update message that would be doubly good.

  • Bad service HP with license code windows 8

I have bought a all in one 23 F210ED in august last year.
I never changed anything in it.
Now i get when i install the recovery from HP, that i am not activated ?
I called HP for it, and everytime they will call me back, what they do not do.
So i to call HP  myself several times it costs me 0,10 euro cent per minute the amounbt is now already over 30 euro !
And every time they have to ask another collague abou it, pleae wait etc.
And finally because HP was not calling back everytime what they promised , with a solution.
I called Microsoft myself and they said . HP is using a oem version of windows 8, they have to make it work.
But after pushing from my side, they did the activation by phone.
And i have now a contact person with MS that will do that for me when i call him.
But this is not the way normally he said.
HP has to get the solution to this problem.
    Like a new key.
But you allready understand i do not get a new key from HP.
Because they blame it on MS.
So now my money is gone, and i still have to call MS to activate it.
Custumer service finally called me on the phone after a letter i wrote to HP Netherlands.
And pointed me out to the warranty rules.
    Yeah right.
    Bad bad service from HP.
    For me never again HP.

    I have received an email,
but i see nothing else then this ?

  • Safari FAIL - Could Adobe REALLY Be Relying On These Sites?

I've got an updated HOSTS file data from http://winhelp2002.mvps.org and have found that Safari 5.1.7 (current version) for Windows emits errors and won't actually allow me to follow ANY links on any adobe.com site (not the forum site, not the main site).  This is not a big deal as I use IE9 for accessing this site in general, but I do occasionally test sites with Safari, and that is what led me to this accidental discovery.
Safari's Window - Activity dialog shows this:
    Note specifically the blocked sites:
    api.demandbase.com
    stats.adobe.com
    survey.112.2o7.net
While it seems to be a pretty egregious programming error to allow the failure of access to a tracking site to block your Safari users from following any of your links, it is not a reasonable workaround to avoid blocking these sites.  I don't want any data from my system going to the tracking software on any of these sites.
Adobe, let me put it plainly to you:
If you plan to change your web programming so that with these tracking sites blocked it breaks my ability to access your forum to help YOUR users you will see the last of me.
    I'm sure I'm not alone.
    -Noel

    To cancel your forum subscriptions:
    Click on Your Stuff
    Click on Profile
Click on Manage Email Notifications in the Actions panel on the right
This will list all of the items you are currently subscribed to. You can filter this list to show full forums, indivdual threads, individual users, etc.
There is a checkbox next to each item or a check all option at the top of the list.
Check off the boxes for the items you want to unsubscribe from and click Remove Selected Notifications at the bottom of the list.
That should clear out and stop your notifications.
If this doesn't work, it usually indicates that you have more than one forum account and the subscriptions are part of the other account.

  • Update Date Pool ???

The update to Jive 4.5.6 is schedule for "sometime" this month... anyone want to bet on when?
I pick the last week, 9-25 thru 9-30

    You are all close.
Sorry about the radio silence, but as any of you who have been around here for a while know, any time I try to give an advance heads-up on forum updates something happens.
But righ now I'm at the 92% certain level that we will be updated over this next weekend. We haven't had the go/no-go meeting yet, but a major issue (that revolves around the ghost account issues we've all come to know and love) seems to be finally fixed this afternoon.
So, with that said, we're pushing to take the forums down on Friday evening, September 16, at 6pm Pacific time. I expect the copying of the database to new servers to take 12-18 hours. Then some behind the scenes clean up work, and some sleep, and we should be back online some time on Sunday.
The upgrade will be from the current Jive 2.5.16 to 4.5.6.3 (lots of dots in there!). Don't expect major function changes, but we are looking forward to better stability, faster performance, fixed text editor. The main page of each forum space will be different, making use of the tabs, which should make the forum breadcrumb trails make more sense. Some of this will take some getting used to. Handling of forum subscriptions will be a little different, too. Hoping that it will be easier for people to manage their subscriptions. The ghost account issue should be fixed (fingers crossed).
Search should be better. Can't say yet if it will be as good as Google. But you will be able to select to search the entire site or just the location you are in when searching (which includes subforums of the current forum).
There may be some inconsistencies between various forums on Sunday, as we are going to try to minimize down time. But we should get that all straightened out quickly.
Links in messages should be set to "no-follow" to help dissuade people from link spamming.
If overnight testing goes OK, I'll post a more formal announcement on Tuesday.

  • BBC Podcast Interruptions & restarting at Beginnin...

One of the main reasons I invested in Broadband was so I could enjoy internet radio.   However, I have been very disappointed because I am unable to listen to Podcasts of BBC Radio programmes.
I listen using my Roberts Internet Radio and BT Broadband.   However, the Podcasts are interrupted, by what appear to my untrained ear to be breaks in the signal, followed by the Podcasts restarting themselves (having reconnnected to a signal) from the start of the programme.   Does anyone else suffer from this problem?   Is there a solution?   Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
    Ian Foster

    Ian,
I sort forum messages from a number of RSS feeds and message filters, so anything with my name in it gets directed to a special folder.
If you do need more help with the WA701ND, than is on my website, then simply post in this thread, making sure that it contains my name, and I should see it.
I do not use the "forum subscriptions" options any more, as it was generating too many e-mails.
I think you will find that the WA701ND is much more capable of handling streaming media.

  • Email notification wish

Is it possible to have your web team put the Message Board Thread subject into the Email subject when sending the notifications. My email bin is full of "NI Discussion Forums Subscription: 1 New Message". It'd be nice to see something like
NI Forums: "Email notification wish" - 1 New Message
    Just a thought.

You should post this to the Feedback on NI Discussion Forums board.

  • New Discussions Format

    Hi,
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to receive emails related to forum subscriptions in the form they used to come in? Eg: showing the topics rather than having to opening the email and then having to open the link to actually see the topic. It was much easier to just scan down the topics and open the ones rvelent to my interests. Thank you,
    Bill

    Bill,
Yep, the new subscriptions are pretty much worthless unless you just want to know when someone has replied to a thread you already know you are interested in.
But, if you're interested in keeping abreast of what is posted in one or more specific lists there's another way of going about it. I was already watching email and (developer) news-reader lists within the same application - that being Thunderbird 1.5. The application also supports RSS so I simply subscribed to the RSS feeds for the specific lists I was interested in following. Now in one application I'm back to what I was doing before the "new" forums. I see new topic post/reply titles by list and clicking on one shows me the text of such. Then, if I want to reply, I click on the URL of the message and Safari comes up.
    Notes:
    1) I bring Safari up one time and sign in, then click the red button to get it out of the way. This way I don't have to sign in whenever I click on a message URL.
    2) The RSS feeds supplied begin with "feed:" which you need to change to "http:" before using such to subscribe in Thunderbird.
    3) If you're also interested in AV for your email client, I use ClamXav and have it watch my Thunderbird Mail Local Folders.

  • No more emails for now, please

As much as I like to receive LR forum postings, I'm heading out on vacation and don't want my BlackBerry inundated with forum stuff.  I have checked the "do not receive" box in the forum site, but I'm still receiving postings.  Does it take ages for the Do not receive instructions to take effect?

    It should happen immediately.
Looking at your forum profile, I can see that you still have one forum subscription and 15 thread subscriptions. But I cannot see which forum it is for. You can see that, though, by going to your profile (under Your Stuff). Click on the Email Notifications tab, filter on Forum, and it will tell you which forum you are subscribed to. Click in the checkbox and then click on Remove Seleted Notifications" and it should go away.
Let us know if that doesn't work and I can delete all of your subscriptions (Forum and threads).
    Thanks!

  • SUGGESTION TO ADOBE: PLEASE CREATE A PROPER FORUM FOR SUBSCRIPTION AND BILLING ISSUES

I think and many will agree, that it is about time that Adobe would create a forum just for subscription or billing issues.
There are so many people looking for help that taking this issues to a specific forum, would help in reducing the signal to noise ratio and keep a focus on specific topics. Yes, Adobe should fix these issues and I am sure they are being address but creating proper channels would speed up support, from Adobe staff and from people that, for crazy reasons, volunteer here.
I try to help, but sometimes just the Creative CLoud forum is like a raging river of people looking for help and if it was divided in some topics, it would be a great help. So:
    - Create a Creative Cloud membership and Billing issues: It is about time
    - How-to and technical issues are still well served by the topics.

    Hi Luis,
    Welcome to Adobe Forum,
I completely apprehend your point of view, the billing issues deal with credit card information which are highly secured information, there is only one authorized group taking care of billing issues.
Regarding Invoice issues, please feel free to raise it here, we do try to resolve them at the earliest.
