Forums e-mail settings

Hi,
In the watching the forum, in the mail that arrive, the url do not show the thread or the forum, it redirect to irj.
I have tested :
/community [original link is broken]
/community [original link is broken]
As I can view directly the forum or thread ?
Regards,
Mercedes

Hi Mercedes,
Requests to the forums application are always redirected to the irj application.
For thisn redirection, the "quick link" property of the forums iView is used, see https://service.sap.com/~sapidb/012006153200000015452008E/Forums_Install_NW70_SP12upw_v6.pdf:
"The quick link must be unique. The Forums application uses this link to redirect users to this iView if they try to access the Forums Home page from outside the portal. If the forums quick link is configured for another iView in your portal, change the configuration. Otherwise, your portal users may be redirected to the wrong iView."
Hope it helps
Detlev

  • How to recover mail settings in Yosemite

I am running a number of mac computers all having the same IMAP email accounts on them. I had an issue with two of the mail accounts where the emails were getting stuck in the outbox. I read a couple of posts that suggested deleting the mail boxes and starting again. I did this, but low and behold, when i inputted the mail settings again they did not work at all. I messed about with it for a day and even tried apple support (I have an apple care pack) but they couldn´t help me. All i want to do is recover my mail settings from the last time I knew they were working fine, I have a time machine (one apple official one and two other external hard drives that I use as time machines, just in case)
any ideas? i´ve searched the forums but no one has had this issue resolved via TM recovery and Yosemite.
    Many thanks
    Dave

Hi Dave, I have this issue too and wondered if you had to call your Internet Service Provider or how you solved your dilemma.

  • The e-mail message cannot be sent. Make sure the outgoing e-mail settings for the server are configured correctly.

    Hi,
I have SP 2013, and it was working properly. and workflows send emails perfectly. yesterday, i decided to build a fresh site collection so i deleted the old one and created a new one. now, workflows are unable to send emails. i'm sure it has nothing to do
with my mail server cuz no changes happened to it. i'm sure about the settings for outgoing mail on central admin. all i did, was to enter mail server IP in outgoing mail field and email below it.
in the workflow status the status says "error" followed by this message: "The e-mail message cannot be sent. Make sure the outgoing e-mail settings for the server are configured correctly."
    Any help please?

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you failed to send email after building a fresh site collection.
I recommend to verify that you have entered your SMTP server name correctly.
You can add it as FQDN e.g. ServerName.DomainName.

  • Help - Mail Settings, Imap & POP

I am having problems with my mail settings, I use macbook pro OS X 10.9, I also have an ipad as does my wife. Recently I have noticed that when my wife or I delete a message it deletes from both ipads. I have checked my settings and made sure we are using pop3 account but when I check my mail settings lookup it shows that i am using imap.
I have deleted the account on my laptop in mail and set up another ensuring the settings for pop a/c are correct but this seems to have no effect.
    How can I change this?
    any help is appreciated
    Thank you
    Keith

This question was posted in the OS X Server forum, which can host mail — if you are hosting your own mail using OS X Server, then there can be rather more to the discussion; the server end of the connection is in play, in addition to the client settings.  I'm going to guess you are not running OS X Server.
Your settings are incorrect, or there's a problem with the mail server or the network connection.
There's no way to know what particular settings are required, except to check with the particular organization hosting your mail.  They'll usually post the details of the settings on their web site.
In general, there are two groups of settings — the settings that are used to send out new messages, which occurs via SMTP, and receiving and viewing mail, which can occur via POP or IMAP.  Both groups of settings need to be correct, too.
Please see the Apple troubleshooting documentation, as a starting point.  That'll help you with the Connection Doctor and related troubleshooting.

  • E7-00 can't change e-mail settings

I'm running sw 022.014 anna with the first service pack from sw updater.
I wanted to check my email account settings to make sure that they're valid since my emails are not going through. This is what I get:
    I go to the E-mail-Settings-My Inbox-Account settings.
I get settings for mail address, pw, mailbox name, signature info, name, read status and limits.
Where can I check for SMTP server settings like server name, port and ancryption?

    @minumant
Admittedly this is upon N8 a similar device but as you don't mention Incoming and Outgoing Mail Settings perhaps it is different upon your E7:

  • TS3988 I cannot access my e-mail settings on my iPad

I can no longer access my e-mail settings or add additional accounts on my 3rd gen IPad.  The mail works fine (send and recieve).  I can see the names of all three accounts and my subscribed calendars.... but they are all subdued.  tapping dragging and shaking all seem to do nothing but frustrate me more.  I have tried to access them, on WIFI, on Cellular and even offline in Airplane mode without success.  I have tried re-booting and connecting to iTunes and trying without any luck.  I am hoping for a simple setting solution, but have had no luck with the Apple support web page.  I welcome anything short of erasing my iPad.

My post led me to similar questions.  The solution was found in an unrelated problem when a forum member suggested going to "General" and then "Restrictions".  There I found"Accounts" and it was set to "Don't allow changes".  A simple click and I was up and running.  I was going to delete, but hope the post will help another.

Just tried my online banking, the page doesn't always load and it won't show my account names or passwords.
It looks like none of my log in information for any sites I use often will show in Firefox.
I can't even access my e-mail to see if I'm getting answers to this problem.

  • Cannot get into E-mail settings on Storm2

Just bought a Storm2 off Craigslist. I was able to activate it ok, everything works except for e-mail. I am not able to setup my Gmail account, when I try to get into "E-Mail Settings" I get an error message that says "There was an error trying to access the service. Please try again. Contact Verizon Wireless at 1-800-922-0204 or [email protected]"
Customer service was clueless, they reset my e-mail settings but I'm still not able to get into the settings. Does anyone here have any ideas? I'm on the 29.99 BIS plan.
    Thanks

Do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan enabled on your account with your carrier or mobile provider?
You must, in order to get the RIM push email functions you are looking for, as well as addtional BlackBerry data services such as the internet browser, Facebook for BlackBerry, BlackBerry Messenger, and much more.
So, call your carrier and inquire about having the BlackBerry Data Plan added to your account.
    Good luck.

  • Configure incoming e-mail settings - Error File Not Found?

    Hello
I am trying to setup a test server for SharePoint 2010 and I have followed the MS instructions for deploying a single SharePoint 2010 server with SQL server. I have had no problems or errors during the setup; however now going through the recomended
post installation task of configuring incoming email settings I am getting an error message.
I have added the SMTP service to the server, configured it in IIS then gone back to the SharePoint central administration page. When I click Configure incoming e-mail settings under System Settings I get the following error message.
Error File Not Found. Correlation ID: cc08f335-6762-4c70-a690-ecfd012ec3c2
I have no idea what is causing this so have no way to resolve it, any help would be really appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi Terradog,
Firstly, you can check the ULS log, which is located in Drive:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\LOGS folder. You can find the exact
correlection ID from the log file.
For the similar issue, you can refer to the following post:

  • How can I migrate my junk-mail settings from one Mac to another?

I would like to move my junk mail settings from one Mac to another. I found this article (https://kb.siteground.com/how_to_synchronize_the_junk_email_settings_in_mac_mail /), but can't locate the file indicated in the article, so I suspect that the article is out of date (though it's not dated).
    Both machines - MacOS 10.9.5; Mail 7.3.
    Any insights much appreciated!

Make your user library visible and see if you can find it.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J.  When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder.  Select Library.

  • Unable to open "compose mail/settings/contacts" in standard view in 2 out of 3 Gmail accounts

Unable to open "compose mail/settings/contacts" in standard view in 2 out of 3 Gmail accounts. When "compose new mail" is selected "loading...." appears at the top then the page is frozen. ie you can't select inbox etc. Changing from standard to basic h/ml then clears the Loading... and gmail can be used (without spellcheck etc).
This might not be Mozilla, but I can access these accounts in standard view on another computer.

Your Gmail account may well be an IMAP account, just like the iCloud mail account. In which case it will work in just the same way as iCloud mail, except that you will have to set it up manually on each device, where as iCloud mail adds the account itself when you log into iCloud.
Whilst it works the same as iCloud mail it isn't iCloud that syncs it for you.

  • Lost mail settings, address book, ichat settings and other prsnl settings!!

Quick question for you. Have you heard of anything in 10.4+ that causes the machine to revert back to startup condition loosing address book content, mail settings, ichat setttings, along with other personal settings??
All of iphoto still has its content. You have any idea? This happened to my parents machine on the eastcoast and I am trying to figure out what happened. Supposedly my father was "doing something" and then they noticed this happened. Is there something he could have done to reset the settings like that? Thanks for any input.
I have read a lot of posts that people are having the same kind of issue, at least with address book.

Hey Jeremy, my iBook is all messed up, too. Somehow it set back to the default settings. Mail, Address Book, iTunes and iPhoto lost their data. However, all music and photo files are still in folders, only all of my emails are gone, which is more or less a catastrophe! Having read your discussion, I somehow have the impression that it has something to do with the user name, I wanted to change the name and then all of a sudden there was a big mess which resulted in having two users now, but all of the folders are mixed up. Can you be a little more precise about the repairing that worked for you, I would appreciate it very much, since I'm not very familiar with Apple products yet.
    Thanks, Daniel

Hi, I never tried going backwards with it, but the files/folders involved for 10.4 anyway are...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist
    Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail
    Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail Downloads
(Could be a different folder here if you chose such in Mail Prefs)
    For Address Book...
    Files...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.AddressBook.plist
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.AddressBook.abd.plist
    Folders...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Application Support/AddressBook/

    Oops.
If you just need Mail settings, only copy
    ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist
    All the messages are in
    ~/Library/Mail

Am I the only one with this problem? I changed my iPhone with an I phone 3G.
when I go to change the time... it sends me back to the main screen. same with mail settings. I am running on ver 2.1.

Go to Settings > General > International > Region Format
I selected United States and then was able to set my Date & Time no problem. What was interesting was that my region format was set to English but there is no option for English only UK or US. That's probably where the bug was.
