Hello All,
I want to setup freight  in SAP 8.81 PL 04 then what to do for this ?

Hello Mitra,
Welcome in SAP form....
For freight management you should map Freight Expence and Revanue Account in freight setup window.
this account effect whenever user make invoice .
We can also add this freight amount in last purchase price.

       I did not see the same option in SAP 2007B. Is there any setup/setting that needs to be done to enable this option in the treeview ?

    Hi Adrian....
    Go to Administration> System Initialisation> Document Setting--> General Tab.
    At the botton there are sevel check boxes. Here you find the Manage Freight in Documents.....
    Just Tick that it will enable in Marketing docs...

  • Freight Setup, Stock = Yes. Error Message: No matching records found 'G/L A

    Dear Experts,
    I want to distribute the Freight Charge into Item Cost at Goods Receipt PO, so i setup the Freight under Administration > Setup > General > Freight
    Revenue Account and Expense Account are entered properly.
    Distribution Method = Row Total
    Drawing Method = Total
    Stock = Yes
    When i Add the Goods Receipt PO, error message prompt: No matching records found 'G/L Accounts' (OACT) (ODBC-2028).
    If i change Stock = No, then the Goods Receipt PO can be added successfully.
    I am using SAP 8.8 Patch 14. Can you please advise where did i configure wrongly?

    Found the answer accidentally, add the Freight Charge in AP Invoice instead of Goods Receipt PO. Then it works.

  • Excise on Freight does not include in Incoming Excise Invoice

    HI Expert,
    I am using SAP 8.81 (PL: 5),
    I Added GRPO where I included Freight at row level and applied Excise Tax as Excise tax in freight on document level is not allowed in SAP. Now when I copy GRPO to Incoming Excise Invoice, Incoming Excise Invoice is not including Excise tax amount of freight and also not in its Journal Entry posting internally.
    I also faced problem when I copy to AP Invoice the freight is not being copied from GRPO which is defined at Row level of GRPO.
    Is there any particular setting for this?
    Please help me to solve this issue.

    Appreciate your response to my thread.....
    But I know about the Freight setup as I mentioned in my thread applied Excise Tax as Excise tax in freight on document level is not allowed in SAP. I dont have problem with this as system is working properly when we define freight in bottom Level but we can not select Excisable tax code on bottom freight level. And we can select this only at row level Freight Setup.......
    But when I copy GRPO to Incoming Excise Invoice, Incoming Excise Invoice is not including Excise tax amount of freight and also not in its Journal Entry posting internally.
    I also faced problem when I copy to AP Invoice the freight is not being copied from GRPO which is defined at Row level of GRPO.
    Experts please focus on this issue if it is very serious if is not included in SAP B1.
    Or is that PL Issue?

  • GRPO with Freight gives an error ...

    Hello Experts,
    When I post a GRPO without Freight it gives no error, but when I try to add with Freight Amount it gives an ERROR.
    Inventory Account is not defined [Goods Receipt PO - Rows - Warehouse Code] Message 173-77.
    Freight Setup: for that perticulat Freight that I am using... is Revenue and Expense Accounts are defined... Distribution and Drawing Methods are Quantity and Stock Check Box is CHECKED.
    Help Required...

    Hello Nazir,
    If your the items are set up with 'GL accounts managed by warehouse' (this is defined under the Inventory Tab of the Item Master Data), you should check that all the accounts for the warehouse have been set up under Administration => Set Up => Inventory => Warehouses => Accounting Tab.
    In particulary you should check that you have defined an Expense Account for the specific warehouse in the GRPO document.
    Also since you have chosen to affect the stock with additional expenses you need to specify an offsetting G/L account to the Stock account for clearing journal entries created by A/P Invoices and Goods Receipt POs.

  • Freight  Amount not shown in Target Documents

    Hi ,
    I have created a Purchase order with Freight Charges , But when i m copying the PO to Targets Documents(i.e GRPO, Invoice) then Freight amount is Not appeared . Pls suggest what to do  in this case .

    Administration -> General -> Setup ->Freight - Setup Window
    Drawing Method Specify the required calculation method of the freight per row. The calculation method you select becomes evident when you copy rows from a base document to a target document. The options are:
    None u2013 No freight will be copied to target document.
    Quantity u2013 The amount is divided into the item quantity and each unit carries the same amount of freight.
    Total u2013 SAP Business One calculates which part of the document total or row total is copied to the target document. It then adds the relative amount of the document or row freight to that target document.
    All u2013 Copies all the freight to the target document.

  • Item Cost to be increased by Freight Amount

    I have 3 different types of Freights each mapped to different expense accounts. The freight cost has been added to the item. When A/P Invoice is done the expense account being debited is the Misc Expenses A/C and not the individual A/C mapped. How can we get expense being debited to individual a/c instead of the Misc Expenses A/C

    If you ook closely, the answer is pretty much in your question itself...
    If you have 3 types of freight, you need to setup them up as 3 seperate freight lines in the FREIGHT setup area. This will give you the ability to select individual GL account for each type and you should be able to get what you want?

  • ACTUAL FREIGHT not working properly

    Hello,
    The freight charge sent from OM to AR is wrong on second and succeeding deliveries (i.e. backorders) on an order using "Actual Freight" (freight term). For order with 2 deliveries, the first shipment is charged correctly (with actual freight), the second delivery will also be charged correctly in the delivery lines(Additional Order info).
    However, the total order charge will also be updated with that of the amount of the 2nd shipment. And when OM transfers the record to AR, the "Shipping and Handling" line(AR interface) will have the amount equal to the difference between the 2nd shipping charge and the 1st shipping charge. Any idea why?
    Setup:
    Use ACTUAL FREIGHT modifier for freight charge
    Tax: Invoice Freight as Revenue - YES
    Tax: Inventory Item for Freight - setup with the Shipping And Handling item
    OM: Charges For Backorders = Null (if we put YES), no "Shipping And Handling" line item is sent to the AR interface.

    Ok, sorry - my previous comments relating to freight setup were primarily relevant to a freight charge entered on an order line.
    How are you applying your freight at ship confirm? Against the delivery or against a delivery detail line? I always apply against the first detail line in a delivery because at shipping I do apply as a lumpsum and otherwise I find that applying against the delivery itself results in some very messy-looking pro-rating of the charge against each line when passed to AR. My freight amount then appears in AR as a single amount against the freight item name I have set up in the profile option Tax: Inventory Item for Freight
    The setup I'm currently using for this is a single modifier line qualified Order/Shipped Flag = Yes, Order/Freight Cost Type = FREIGHT and with Pricing Phase = Line Charges and Application Method = LUMPSUM. The line references a cost-to-charge formula to derive the value as follows: NVL(1,2)*3 where 1 is the seeded pricing attribute for freight cost, 2 = constant 0, 3 = constant 1
    I hope the above is of some help if your requirement allows a similar setup.

       depending on the max number of Additional Expenses from the OEXD
    2. Use query like below for UDF1:

    like increase space between the fields etc
    3. Add the UDF to the Layout.

    AssessableValue was missed in Tax Formula, so
    Try to insert(Tax formula) the AssessableValue in Tax formula Setup.
    for example,
    BED
    if (AssessableValue > 0)
    { BED_BaseAmt = AssessableValue*Qty }

    { BED_BaseAmt = Total }
    BED_TaxAmt=BED_BaseAmt*BED_Rate

    The system PO did not have Freight in the PO, which table has Freight for PO, SO, AP Invoice and AR Invoice?

  • Can you set up VAT Inclusive Freight prices in SAP?

    This was originally posted on the SDK forum. I have posted here to request answers as to whether VAT Inclusive prices can be configured in SAP specifically for Freight Lines or also for general product/sales products.
    I am integrating a 3rd party web site order into SAP B1. The site can only provide VAT Inclusive Prices and cannot provide the VAT rate or code - that SAP order will be loaded with the VAT rate taken from the BP / Item matrix.
    This is not a problem when creating order lines as I can use the <PriceAfterVAT> element (using DI Server). However when adding Freight Lines to the B1 order there is no equivalent element. It appears that I can only add a value excluding VAT.
    Is there any way of adding a VAT Inclusive values to a Freight Line (either manually or via sdk)?
    Can Freight Items be set up so that the value can be entered as Vat Inclusive?
    Can Price lists be set up as VAT Inclusive prices?
    I would prefer not to have to caluclate and enter the VAT exlcusive price as this involves mimicing the Web Sites VAT Matrix calculation and hoping that this mimics the SAP VAT calculation and hopefully not ending up with rounding problems. Note that the Web Site has already taken payment via credit card and the invoice from SAP must match the Web Transaction.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Nick,
    Try to create the freight as a non inventory item. Create an item master data, lets say Freight. Un-tick option for "Inventory". Set the g/l for revenue just like you set in the freight setup. Set default vat code in the sales tab.
    So what you have to do to input the freight is to add 1 additional item (freight) and put the price after vat like you required.

    In SAP you have Table OSTT. In this table all the tax codes are stored. For each Tax code, there will be related Nota Fiscal Id and Numerator.
    In PLD, Add repetitive area and in Repetitive area
    1. Create 1 text field and enter the number (Nota Fiscal Tax ID or Numerator)
    Note : If you are calculating excise duty or service tax or Vat then you will be entering Nota fiscal Tax ID else you will be entering Numerator Number in the Text field you have created.
    Let's Assume Field_001 (ex. Field_001 --> -90 or 6)
    2. Create 1 database field, in that link the "Sales Tax Authorities Type" table and "Nota Fiscal Tax ID" or "Numerator"
    let's assume Field_002
    3. Create one Formula Field, In that Check whether the two fields are equal.
    let's assume Field_003 contains formula (ie., Field_001==Field_002)
    4. Create one Database field, In that link "A/R - tax Amount per Document" table and "Tax Amount" Column.
    let's assume Field_004
    5. Create one Formula Field, in that multiply two fields
    let's assume Field_005 = Field_003 * Field_004.
    6. Then in Repetitive area Footer, Create one formula field, and in that Sum that result.
    Let's assume Filed_006 = COLSUM("Field_005")
    Do the above said process to retrieve seperate tax amount values.
    To print Tax rate :
    In repetitive area footer, create one database field, and now choose A/R Invoice or corresponding table and Tax Rate column.
    Let's Assume, that in repetitive area footer Field_101 has the above database table link.
    Now, as per my previous reply Create one Text Field and enter "VAT" and then next to text field create Formula Field and Choose the Field_101 in the Formula column.
    For Freight calculation,
    OEXD - Freight Setup table contains the freight details and Name to be selected in Column.
    Follow steps explained above to retreive the tax rates and freight rates seperately.
    I hope this could help you to solve your problem. Now it works.

  • Need negative quantity non-inventory items on Credit Memo

    Version: (2007A)
    Description of requirements: (Please provide a detailed description)
    Our customer issues many invoices with a negative quantity line item for a miscellaneous non-inventory item. These non-inventory items are used to reduce the amount of the invoice regarding miscellaneous credits to their customers.  These are not discounts.
    When the customer wants to credit these invoices, they canu2019t create a Credit Memo based on the invoice because SAP wonu2019t allow this if there are line items with negative amounts.
    When they create a credit memo not based on an invoice, they arenu2019t allowed to enter a negative quantity for a line item as they are for an Invoice. They are forced to create a credit memo not based on an invoice the inventory item line items and an invoice or Journal Entry for the negative quantity line item to debit back the miscellaneous line amount.
    As an example:
    Invoice line item one for inventory item: qty one, price 100,line total $100.00
    Invoice line item two non-inventory item misc credit: quanity -1, price 10, total -$10.00
    Invoice Total $90.00
    In Order to provide the correct credit amount, they have to create a Credit Memo not based on an invoice for line item one, qty one, price 100 u2013 value -100 and an invoice for the non-inventory item for qty one, price 10 -  value 10.00.
    This creates a net credit for the customer of 90.00
    This looks ridiculous to their customers when they see these transactions on their statements, creates extra work for the users and there is no link between the three documents.
    By using inventory items for these miscellaneous credits, they can assign a sales revenue of their choice. They have multiple sales accounts and the GL posting is determined by the item group for the item. By assigning the desired item group to these non-inventory items, they can control which sales account is updated on their marketing documents when using these non-inventory items.
    If they were to use the Freight items, they would need a separate freight setup entry for combination of item group and miscellaneous credit. Because they have so many Item Groups and types of credits, they would need a great many separate Freight Charges to choose from.
    All of the above pertains to all of our customers. This customer has a custom add-on and their marketing documents are all created from custom objects.  They hit a button on the custom sales contract screen and an invoice is created.  When they hit another button on the screen, the selected invoice is credited. They have legally binding contracts for fixed quantities to be shipped, so we decrease the quantity shipped when creating an invoice and decrease the quantity shipped when a credit memo is created. The contract is fulfilled when the exact quantity contracted for has been shipped. Because the credit memo fails, we canu2019t update the custom objectu2019s remaining to be shipped, rendering it inaccurate from that time forward. (reducing the quantity shipped is part of the Credit Memo creation process).Creating Credit Memos and Invoices from the interface fixes the inventory count, customer balance, etc., but we have no way of fixing the sales contractu2019s quantity shipped & remaining to be shipped or linking the contracts to the documents created from the interface.

    System is behaving properly as per its logic. Infact it does same in all the previous or upcoming versions.
    If you have Item Type GRPO for Non Inventory Item it does not create any accounting but you can see the same during AP invoice.
    GRPO for such type is only optional. For further clarification you can discuss this with your CA what he suggests. But i suggest you to raise AP invoice also for getting Account effect. Just see doing this in test DB you get your answer......
