Frm-13008 when using webutil

hi all
im using webutil for the need of client_get_file_name.
When I open the webutil canvas I get an error: FRM-13008: Cannot find JavaBean with name ‘oracle.forms.webutil.ole.olefunctions’.
At runtime, the webutil canvas appears with an ‘Ok’ button. After pressing on ok I get my canvas.
After pressing the ‘Browse’ button i'm getting the following error: ‘oracle.forms.webutil.file.filefunctions bean not found. Webutil_file.file_selection_dialog_int will not work.’
thx for help :)

i've already put the jar files' locations in the env classpath.
the env classpath looks like the following:
CLASSPATH=c:\DevSuiteHome_1\j2ee\OC4J_BI_Forms\applications\formsapp\formsweb\WEB-INF\lib\frmsrv.jar;c:\DevSuiteHome_1\jlib\repository.jar;c:\DevSuiteHome_1\jlib\ldapjclnt10.jar;c:\DevSuiteHome_1\jlib\debugger.jar;c:\DevSuiteHome_1\jlib\ewt3.jar;c:\DevSuiteHome_1\jlib\share.jar;c:\DevSuiteHome_1\jlib\utj.jar;c:\DevSuiteHome_1\jlib\zrclient.jar;c:\DevSuiteHome_1\reports\jlib\rwrun.jar;c:\DevSuiteHome_1\forms\java\frmwebutil.jar;C:\DevSuiteHome_1\forms\java\jacob.jar;c:\DevSuiteHome_1\forms\java\frmall.jar

    Error FRM:30312 when compiling webutil.pll
    I download the webutil_1_6.zip, and implementing the configuration instructions arrived to the point that states to compile the webtutil.pll file, the compiler generates the error: FRM-30312: Failed to compile the library. Any idea.
    The environment:
    OAS: 9.0.4
    OS: UNIX TRU 64 ver 1.5.b
    Considerations:
    I execute the create_webutil_db.sql in the required database.
    Other pll and fmb files of my application compile without problems.
    I configure the Webutil 1.6 in a Windows 2000 machine with Developer Suite 9.0.4 without problems.

    Michael I follow your recommendations, make the compilation in the local machine, and change the command line, but the error still appear:
    I execute the following command line:

  • FRM-13008 when adding JavaBeans to Forms

    I'm keep getting a FRM-13008 "Cannot find JavaBean with name ..." when I try to set the Implementation Class for a new BeanArea in a form. Even with the demo classes I'm getting the same error. I'm using the fully qualified class names, such as oracle.forms.demos.ProgressBarPJC
    The demo class files are installed in my \orant\forms60\java\oracle\forms\demos directory. My FORMS60_JAVADIR points to \orant\forms60\java. Since it's a demo class, I know the IView interface is ok.
    Are there other causes for the 13008 error? Is there anything else I need to know or check? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I'm having exactly the same problem you have, and I didn't have any reply even from Oracle Italian Support, did you find the way to solve it?
    Thank you, Nicoletta Bindi

  • WUT-113 Too many rows when using Webutil to upload a doc or pdf

    Hi All,
    I am using Webutil to upload and view files and am receiving the error msg 'WUT-113 Too many rows matched the supplied where clause'
    The process works fine for uploading photos but not when I try and upload documents and pdf files.
    I am on v 10.1.2.0.2 and using XP.
    The code example (for documents) is outlined below but think that the issue must be to do with some sort of incorrect Webutil configuration
    on my machine.
    declare
         vfilename varchar2(3000);
         vboolean boolean;
    begin
         vfilename := client_get_file_name('c:\',file_filter => 'Document files (*.doc)|*.doc|');
         vboolean := webutil_file_transfer.Client_To_DB_With_Progress
    ( vfilename,
    'lobs_table',
    'word_blob',
    'blob_id = '||:blob_id,
    'Progress',
    'Uploading File '||vfilename,
    true,
    'CHECK_LOB_PROGRESS');
    end;
    Any assistance in this matter would be appreciated.
    kind regards,
    Tom

    Hi Sarah,
    Many thanks for the reply.
    All I'm trying to do is to click on the Browse Document button in a form to upload
    a document (in this example) from my machine and save it to the db table called lobs_table
    using the webutil_file_transfer.Client_To_DB_With_Progress program.
    When I first access the form the field :blob_id is populated (by a When-create-Record trigger)
    with a value made up of sysdate in NUMBER format as DDMMHHMISS e.g. 0106101025
    When I press 'Browse Document' - a button in the form) and the dialog box is opened and
    I select a document and click ok then I see the error message 'WUT-113 Too many rows matched the supplied where clause' and yet the where clause element of the call to webutil_file_transfer.Client_To_DB_With_Progress program
    should be the :blob_id value ('blob_id = '||:blob_id) i.e. should be a single value populated in the field when I first access the form - so why am I seeing the when too many rows error?
    I may be missing something obvious as I've only just started using Webutil.
    Kind regards,
    Tom

  • Slow response in opening form when using webutil

    Hi,
    When I try to use the webutil functions, I find it is very slow in opening the form.
    It takes about 30 seconds.
    But if I remove the frmwebutil.jar in the server directory /forms/java/, it takes
    less than 3 seconds.
    Any suggestion ?
    Thanks in advance.
    Ivan

    Do you find the slow startup everytime with webutil or only the very first time you use webutil. The JAR file should be cached which means if the jar download is make it slow then it should be faster next time you run it.
    The other point is do you actually have any webutil code running when you use webutil - maybe that code is causing the problem.

  • Frm-92101 issue using webutil

    hi all,
    i have this strange issue where my form works randomly and gives me the error FRM-92101. on putting messages in between i can debug it to having not retrieving the OS username on my when new form instance. i presume that the initialization the webutil is not taking place in time and it is causing the error.
    i do know that the FRM-92101 is a configuration error but on putting messages it shows me where the failure is taking place. is there any way i can initialize the webutil.
    i did try using a fake timer but still it is taking time to initialize.
    please suggest.
    regrads,
    RBL

    Hi,
    Follow the below suggestions and let me know
    1.You can increase the timeout parameter in $oracle_home/Apache/Apache/conf/httpd.conf file and re-start the server and check.
    2.Check your corresponding env file, or take the default.env file and map your bin and try
    3.Check mod_oc4j.conf is there any bytes restriction,if so remove that line and try.
    4.Add your application server ip and name in hosts file and check.
    Good luck

  • ??? Arabic when using client_text_io webutil 10G R2

    Hi everyone,
    i am using A.S 10G R2, when using text_io to pull data fro database and write it to Text on the server, it gives the arabic correct without any corrupt, but when using webutil (client_text_io) the same scenario it gives a corrupt Arabic(question marks).
    i've cleared the Java cash and checked for NLS and fonts with the same results, is there any other config should be done on the A.S or on the webutil configuration??
    Thanks a lot

    well, it already set properly since I am getting the data as it stored in forms and reports (correct display), so what do you think? Is there some other issues should be investigated
    Thanks guys for the great help

  • FRM-92102 when accessing a form using a Load Balancer

    Greetings.
    We have two oracle application servers version 10.1.2.0.2 on windows 2003 running forms and reports. When just one a server is running everithing works fine, but when I start the second server the clients receive the message "FRM-92102 : A network error has occurred.The Forms Client has attempted to re-establish its connection to the Server 5 times without success.Please check the network connection and try again later" when the first form is called. In our coniguration the F5 Load Balancer is redirecting requests to the Apache ports in both Oas Machines, we are not using the webcache port. I read the note "FRM-92102 When Using A Software Load Balancer With Forms [ID 465583.1]" but this note applies when webcache is used. Our LBR is set using "insert cookie" persitent mechanism.
    I have the following questions:
    What configuration is needed in OAS files in order to use a LBR and avoid the FRM-92102 error?
    How can I debug or trace FRM-92102 issues?
    Thanks!
    Ramiro Ortiz.

    FRM-92102 is the result of the client not getting a response from the server (mid tier). This generally means only one of a couple of things:
    1. The mid tier which parented the Forms session is not responding. This could be because it is overloaded, the web server (OHS or WebCache) is failing, or something else is preventing the client from getting a response.
    2. Client requests are being routed to the wrong mid-tier server. This is usually the result of improper load balancer configuration or an LB failure. However, generally in this case FRM-92101 would result. If you are using an unpatch 10.1.2 installation, as I believe you are (10.1.2.0) then seeing either error may be possible.
    Regarding the note that discusses using Oracle WebCache for load balancing, regardless of whether you are using an Oracle product or hardware or whatever for loadbalancing, the same concept will apply. The load balancer must have session binding enabled. Understanding whether or not this is the problem should be fairly easy to determine. Simply shutdown one server. If everything works correctly, restart the second server. If the problem now occurs, you can likely assume you have a session binding issue and should likely refer to the load balancer's documentation or their Support group.
    Also, important to understand is that if the load balancer is designed to alter the header information in any way, the likelihood of failing Forms sessions is high. Forms is expecting very specific information in the header exchange. Some intermediate servers (load balancers, ssl accelerators, firewalls, etc) have been known to intentionally or unintentionally alter the header. Again, contact the vendor.
    If you are seeing that the client console is reporting 5 retry attempts, yet you have not set "networkRetries" in formsweb.cfg, this often suggests a critical tcp/ip failure. Often, but maybe not always, the result of a damaged header or other misconfiguration or failure outside of Forms.

  • FRM-92101 when creating excel file through webutil

    I am getting forms error FRM-92101 error when loading a large amount of records into an excel file using webutil
    FRM-92101
    A Network Error has occurred
    The forms client has attempted to reconnect to the server 1 time(s) without success
    I can successfully create the excel file without the the FRM-92101 when loading only 100 out of 2,000 records from the datablock.
    But if I try to load 1,000 out of the 2,000 records then in the middle of the loading process I get the FRM-92101 error.
    What is causing this error? A timeout issue with forms? How much the excel file can actually handle? Could it be an security issue on the network?
    What can be done to remedy the problem? Just save data little bits at a time?
    Thanks,
    Michelle

    I was running the form from my DS and when I put the form on the application server there were no FRM-92101 errors.
    I'm not sure why running the form from my DS caused this error and running the form from the application server didn't?
    Thanks,
    Michelle

  • Error in loading a jpeg file using webutil

    I´m using webutil with forms9i and got errors when loadin g jpeg files. I selected some files and worked ok. Some files (ones with blank characters inside their names) blow up the form.
    The resultant error message is:
    FRM-92102:a network error has occurred. The Forms Client has attempted to reestablish its connection to the server1 time(s) without success. Please check the network connection and try again later.
    Details...
    Java Exception:
    java.io.IOException: Negative or zero content-length from server
    at oracle.forms.netHTTPNStream.doFlush(Unknown Source)
    at oracle.forms.netHTTPNStream.flush(Unknown Source)
    at javaio.DataOusputStream.flush(Unknown Source)
    at oracle.forms.net.StreamMessageWriter.run(Unknown Source)
    Do you have any info about this error?

    It would help if you mentioned which bit of file transfer you are doing there are about 8 different options..
    For instance I tried Clint_to_AS with a file name containing a space and all was OK.
    webutil_file_transfer.client_to_as('d:\temp\a file.txt','d:\temp\foo.txt',false, null);

  • IDS 9.0.4.2, Progress bar and frm-13008

    Hello All,
    I downloaded and installed the 10g (9.0.4.2) demos as detailed in the installguide.html.
    When trying to open a canvas (layout editor) that contains my bean for the progress bar, I receive the frm-13008 error.
    I've searched OTN and Metalink, and tried to make the changes I found on these sites, but I continue to receive the error.
    Implementation class is: oracle.forms.demos.ProgressBarPJC
    Current contents of forms90_builder_classpath: d:\oracle\10g\forms90\java\frmwebutil.jar;d:\oracle10g\forms90\java\f90all.jar;d:\oracle10g\forms90\java\jacob.jar;d:\oracle\10g\jlib\importer.jar;d:\oracle\10g\jlib\debugger.jar;d:\oracle\10g\jlib\utj90.jar;d:\oracle\10g\jlib\dfc90.jar;d:\oracle\10g\jlib\help4.jar;d:\oracle\10g\jlib\oracle_ice.jar;d:\oracle\10g\jlib\jewt4.jar;d:\oracle\10g\jlib\ewt3.jar;d:\oracle\10g\jlib\share.jar;D:\Oracle\10g\forms90\demos\progressbar\classes\progressbar.jar;d:\oracle\10g\forms90\java;
    Classpath is: d:\oracle\9i\jlib\bigraphbean.jar;d:\oracle\9i\jlib\LW_PfjBean.jar;d:\oracle\9i\jlib\bigraphbean-nls.zip
    What is the difference between progressar.jar and progressbarpjc.class?
    The bean is visibile at runtime, but no visible changes (color changes etc) appear. Any ides as to the cause for this behavior?
    Oracle must have (I hope) better documentation that what I've seen so far. Not all Forms developers have been able to jump on the Java bandwagon.
    -Chris

    Francois,
    In regards to the progress bar moving, I am supply percentages and color changes but see no effect at runtime. This includes no error messages.
    .java vs. jar, I then assume that forms would look for the .jar file then. As such the implementation class reading: oracle.forms.demos.ProgressBarPJC tells me what? That forms is expecting to see progressbar.jar, or progressbarpjc.jar, and where?
    The 10g demos are installed to D:\Oracle\10g\forms90\demos and there I have a folder named progressbar not progressbarpjc. Is this part of the issues?
    I'm glad Oracle has made using there demos so easy to setup and use.
    Thanks for your help.

  • FRM-40735: WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE trigger raised unhandled except ORA-06508

    Dear Colleague,
    I am migrating a Forms application from Forms 9i to Forms 10g. Most of my forms were originally created using the Oracle Designer Forms generator. I am also using the Webutil plugin. I just finished configuring Webutil, tested it and it seems to be working fine.
    I am able to compile all code and generate a Form executable. However at runtime, I get an error as soon as the first line of code in the WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE trigger.
    The error is:
    FRM-40735: WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-06508
    and the beginning of the code is as follows. Using the debugger, I found out that the line:
    CGBS2$.SET_COORD_STYLE( 'P' );
    initiates an error.
    /* CGLY$INIT_CANVASES */
    /* Call procedure to ensure correct canvases are visible */
    BEGIN
    CGBS2$.SET_COORD_STYLE( 'P' );
    CGBS2$.SET_QRY_ON_ENTRY( 'Y' );
    CGBS2$.SET_NAV_FROM_BLOCK( 'PROJ_BLOCK' );
    CGLY$CANVAS_MANAGEMENT;
    END;
    Is the error telling me that this procedure was not found? How can I proceed to find the cause and solution of my problem? Are one of the Oracle Designer Forms Generator libraries missing?
    I would appreciate a tip to help me begin seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
    Thanks and regards,
    Randy

    Randy,
    Glad I could help and you've got your Form running.
    @user9230833
    It is consider "bad form" to usurp another's post. Please create your own Forum post and include a link or links to any relevant posts. As to Randy's situation, he simply compiled the Forms 9i Library module (.pll) with Forms 10g's compiler. This may not be the cause of your error. When you post your own question, please include your Forms version (full version [eg; 10.1.2.0.2] not the release [6i, 9i, 10g, etc]). Also include any sample code that might help us help you! ;-)

    Also try closing the builder
    set FORMS_PATH with your working directory (do also keep webutil.pll and webutil.olb) in that.
    Open the builder again and try generating
