Frozen during factory reset?

I've been having problems with my phone crashing 5x+ a day to the point of having to do a soft reset each time, so I finally did a master reset but the phone is completely frozen now. Will anything happen if I take the battery out? Everything is backed up, so I don't care about that but I'm worried about the phone not working at all.

Pull the batter and hard reset with this method...
Press and hold the Power button.
If the device is non-responsive, remove then replace the battery. Refer to Battery Inserting / Removing for additional assistance.
Select Power off.
Press and hold the Volume Up / Down keys and the Power button simultaneuously. When the Samsung logo appears, release only the Power button.
From the Recovery screen, press the Volume down key to select wipe data / factory reset.
Select Home.
Select Volume Up to continue.
Allow the factory reset process to complete (approximately 1 minute).
Ensure reboot system now is selected.
Select Home.

  • Iphone turned off during factory reset

Apologies if this has been raised a million times before, i have tried to search for an answer..
As the title says my phone turned off during a factory reset as the battery was obviously low. probably happened 1-2 minutes into it actually.
Now it wont get past the apple logo screen. I have tried to reset the phone using the home + power key but nothing happens. it turns off then when i turn it back on it goes back to the apple logo screen, then will turn off.
Ive plugged the phone into my laptop and that wont read it either.
I hope i havent ruined the phone by it turning off during factory resetting ? Can anyone suggest anything to fix this problem ?
    thanks

See if you force the phone into recovery mode:
Turn off your phone: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the the iPhone to turn off. If you cannot turn off your phone using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When your phone turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons. Then, leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, itunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new. After restoring from backup, you must sync to restore your iTunes content.

Hello joell, This appears to me as a memory issue. from the description you list.
You might try downloading and running Memtest, that can be found  Here , and see if Memtest finds any memory errors.
If errors are found, you might try removing all but one of the memory modules and run Memtest again and see if you receive any errors. If so, remove that module and install another, and test each one individually until you have checked all the modules separately. If you manage to determine if one or more of the modules are faulty, just install the modules you know are good, and see if the system will boot.
You may have to perform a HP Recovery Restore since this possible faulty memory may have corrupted the operating system and other programs.

    Hi  ,
Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues, with help from the community!
I came across your post about the Notebook, and wanted to assist you! I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion g6-1160ee Notebook with issues with a Recovery from your restore disks. Here are links to recovery may fail and troubleshooting recovery problems. You might need to disable any virus protection software to do this. Please note remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices, as these could cause some issues. Plug the power adapter directly into a functioning wall outlet. Do not plug it into a power strip, surge protector, or secondary power source as this could cause and issue. Please let me know how this goes. Thanks.

  • My computer powered off during factory reset, and now I keep getting this error message.

    Error: F3-F100-0005.
And then I have to turn off the computer.
Before that I was getting this error: "Windows could not finish configuring system. To attempt to resume configuration, restart the computer." And I kept restarting it, about 5 times total, then decided to just reset to factory settings.
Whenever I reboot, it keeps automatically going to "Loading Files", then this error message. I have tried the advice found here:
    http://laptopforums.toshiba.com/t5/System-Recovery-and-Recovery/System-Failure-and-NOTHING-Fixes-it/... but it's not working.
    Please help?

Some laptops do not come with a recovery disc because they have hidden partition for the recovery.
What exactly is the model of your laptop.

  • I'm having trouble with downloads of Aps. I have several that have frozen during the download. I can't delete them and resetting my iPad or trying the airplane mode has not helped. Any ideas?

I'm having trouble downloading Aps on my iPad . I have several that have frozen during downloading and I can't delete them. I've tried resetting my iPad, airplane mode and going through iTunes and Aps store, nothing has helped. Any ideas?

I'm having a similar problem, but different circumstances. Someone gave me their iPod nano to load with tunes. I, myself, don't own an iPod, and the flimsy booklet that came with this device is pointless -- no real info. Anyway, once it was charged, I chose tunes from my library to upload to the iPod, but the entire library began to load (not just the checked selections). I made several attempts to resolve this, including an attempt to restore the iPod to its original settings. Unfortunately, now the computer and iTunes will not recognize this iPod (when iTunes is open and iPod is connected, iPod does not appear in source list, and desktop only reads the device as "iPod", as opposed to what it was originally reading it as) and I can't even get back to the part of iTunes that asks me if I want to restore the iPod. Do I have to bring this to an Apple store, or is there anyone out there who can tell me how to resolve this? I tried the "5 R's" recommended by Apple, but they don't seem to work.

  • Freezes during "starting windows" message even after factory reset.

I've gone through diagnostic tests and they've shown it wasn't a hardware error. After a failed update to windows 10 my computer rolled back to windows 7. After the rollback when attempting to boot win 7 It froze and hung on the starting windows screen.  At first i was able to boot in safe mode and navigate the desktop and drivers, but after plenty of failed fixes i had to result to a factory reset with alienrespawn. After the factory reset the issue still persists, and i can no longer boot up in safe mode. When i do, it tries to do first time installation and says that i has to reboot in normal mode to complete first time config. My computer didn't come with a disk so i can't re-install windows 7, and factory reset dosen't seem to fix the issue. All I need is to resolve this issue so i can get back with a clean slate to upgrade to windows 10. Any ideas?

  • Hello, I have an ipod touch 4. It is frozen, have tried reset, have restored, it is now back to factory settings but it is still frozen.

Hello, I have an ipod touch 4. It is frozen, I have reset it and restored it several times. it has the current software loaded. I have restored it back to factory/new settings and it still wont let me access it. It is on and working etc, yet screen is frozen.

If the restore was successful (completed all steps without errs) then you have a hardware problem. An appointment at the genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • HT201406 My phone keeps trying to facetime randomly during phone calls, it will also mute itself and put itself on speaker phone.  Anyone else have this problem?  I did the factory reset and I am still having issues.

My iphone 4 will randomly try to facetime, mute itself, or put itself on speaker phone during a phone call.  I did the factory reset, but I am still having this problem.  Does anyone know what may be wrong, or has anyone else had this problem before?

I have the iPhone 4s on Verizon and never had this problem until I recently updated to iOS 7.0.2. I have the same case on it for several months. Yesterday, when I was talking on the phone with someone, it appeared as though I lost the call. But when I looked down at my phone, it was trying to Facetime with someone in my contact list. It happened again today. Different person, but both people have names that start with "A", so they are at the top of my contact list. Very frustrating! So, obviously updating to the latest iOS either did not help or was the cause of the problem.
