Functional Location: Address

Hello,
I create a Functional Location with the BAPI_FUNCLOC_CREATE. The BAPI do not associate an address. So I try to create the address with the functions ADDR_INSERT, ADDR_NUMBER_GET, ADDR_MEMORY_SAVE and ADDR_MEMORY_CLEAR (call in this order). The address was create, it is in the table ADRC, but there is no link to the functional location. There is no entry in the table ILOA or in the transaction IL03. I don't unterstand this. I give the number of the functional location and other keys with the parameters address_handle and adress_reference, but this key was ignore.
How can i create a address in the funcional location? With the ADDR* Functions or are there any other functions/BAPIs?

I tried this. First I create a new address_number then i put the address_number in the field DATA_GENERAL-READ_ADRNR of the BAPI_FUNCLOC_CREATE but the address doesn't show up.
And I test to supply the address_number in the parameter field DATA_GENERAL-READ_ADRNR and DATA_GENERALX-READ_ADRNR of the BAPI BAPI_FUNCLOC_CHANGE. It doesn't show up, too.
What did I wrong?
For Create a new Address of Funcional Location i call the functions:
ADDR_INSERT
ADDR_NUMBER_GET
ADDR_MEMORY_SAVE
ADDR_MEMORY_CLEAR
BAPI_FUNCLOC_CREATE or BAPI_FUNCLOC_CHANGE
BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT
I picked up in a documentation in OSS about the BAPI_FUNCLOC* BAPIs that the parameter-fields starting with READ* are for output only. Not for input. Is that true?

Hi Praveen,
You can create a separate LSMW for this or you create a LSMW for FLoc upload along with the address details. I don't think this is possible with the standard program you have chosen.

Way to update header and address fields to a functional location simultane

Hi all,
   Can you please help me out in this.
I used the FM u201CISU_M_FUNCLOC_CHANGEu201D for changing the Functional data (Including Header and Address data), but this FM will not work for my requirement as it clears the entire data in the transaction and updates the one which i pass. I looked for the BAPI u201CBAPI_FUNCLOC_CHANGEu201D, this is also not working to update the Address fields.
Please let me know the way i can update the header as well as address fields in a functional location simultaneously.

FM for changing address in functional location

Hi all
I wanted to change address in functional locations in my report, but I don't know any function modul for this. I've found BAPI_FUNCLOC_CHANGE, but it's not possible to change address data with it. Normaly it's done through IL02 transaction. I would be grateful for any help.

If you go to transaction IL02 and on tab Location you push pencil button, than on new window you can change some of address data but not all that are storred in ADRC table. For example you can change street name or city name, but there is no place that you could enter city code or street code. So if this is not possible to enter these values in this transaction it is not possible to run this transaction from report with BCD data so that street code and city code were changed in ADRC table.

Avoid Email address check while creating or changes functional location PM

Hi Experts,
We have upgraded 4.6C system to ECC 6.0 with EHP4.
We are tring to change the existing functional location created in 4.6c through tcode IL02 -> location tab -> Email address.
and tring to maintain value as 'CAP 20/20/97' in email address field but it pop-ups with the error message as
'Email address 'CAP 20/20/97' is invalid'.
We know this is a SAP standard check but as part of the AS IS functionality, end user is able to maintain the same value in 4.6c and expecting same in ECC 6.0.
NOte : End user is using this field SMTP_ADDR (Email address) for multiple purposes.
When we reached SAP, following is the SAP responce.
This validity check is in compliance with RFC 2822.
This behaviour is standard since note 799902. If you would like to see
this functionality changed then please proceed as outlined in the
attached note 11.
Can any one provide work around solution to avoid the Email address validity check ?

Address upload for Functional Locations

Hello,
I'm using batch input session to upload address data for functional locations (PM). However, I do not see any way to enter address data with this method. Do you have any suggestions on this matter?

yes I mean recording with LSMW.
Standard batch input and BAPI FUNC_LOC_CREATE do not have the adress data.
even for customer and vendor adresses it is not possible to do it in one shot (if you use central adress management) as you can read in OSS note 306275 and 384462

Old OSX Spotlight function automatically displayed path/location within the machine: e.g. desktop/folder/sub-folder/item.
Can I make Spotlight show the path?

Press option-command and the path is displayed at the bottom of the little preview window. Press command-return and the enclosing folder opens.

Functional location Task lists Header/Operation Mass Upload

Hello experts,
I am using LSMW to upload Functional location Task lists Header & Operations in T-code IA12, for this i am using the Standard program IBIP (Object -> 480).
All required fields are in the standard structures apart from Operation QM Data, Recording view -> ERFSICHT & Inspection point Completion -> QPPKTABS (see attached screen shot).
Should i upload these 2 fields in different way ?

Generally, for all kinds of task list (Maintenance, Quality as well as Production), I tend to use BDC programs by which all the fields can be addressed. In standard, there are certain fields which might have got avoided for certain reasons.
So, I suggest you to look for some other options available.

Problems with hierarchy display of functional locations

Hello Experts,
I tried to buid a model whch displays the hierarchy of functional locations and followe all steps of the How-To Model SAP BI System Hierarchies in Visual Composer paper but it does not work as described.
When I mark the Line I want to drill down and click the drill down button after the refresh it shows only the single value of this line and it does not show the functional locations below. Clicking Drill up nothing moves.
For Drill down I used the following coding:

thanks for your tip, but that does not work either.
Drilling down either does not show anything (empty result on some lines) and some only show one line of the same Functional location I have selected.
Drill up only works when the previous drill down resulted in a empty list. If the result has one entry you are locked and you cannot jump back.
I have collected some screenshots to demonstrate my problem which I would like to provide to you, but I do not have your mail address.
My Visual composer Version is 700.10.0027.
I guess SP is 0027, if not please advise how to find out.

Function Location, Classes, Equipment

We have a business Situation where we are using FLOC to track our rentable assets. We Rent space on each FL and therefore need to track rental attributes here. The problem arises because we can rent to multiple customer on each FLOC. To handle this we are using Classes.
ie.
Class
Rental_Class_1, Rental_Class_2, Rental_Class_3
Characteristics
Agreement_#_1, Customer_1, Agreement_#_2, Customer_2,
This creates a problem when searching with Classes for Customer = XYZ Inc.
Does anybody have a better natural solution to my issue, instead of having to create custom reporting?

Hiii James,
I would suggest you instead of doing it using class & characteristics, you can make use of contract functyionality in Customer service module. You can assign the equipment/Functional location to service contract & you can dismental the equipment when contract get finished.
You can also define different types contract.
You can also prevent to assign the equipment to assign the equipment to two contract at a time.
You can also change the functional location (Customer location) of equipment automatically.
You can also update the customer & End customer details & address details automatically, when assigned to contract & get vanished when it is removed from contract.
According to that you may get the history of equipment/functional location of assigning it to contract.
I hope it may solve your issue.

Alternate labelling for functional locations

Hi PM Experts,
Does anyone know how to go about using "Alternate labelling for functional locations".
We currently use a GIS code for our description of our FLOC's, the problem is that the users cannot see the address of the FLOC.
I dont know if the Alternate labelling for functional locations will work or if there is another option available.

It is maintained in the FLOC. The main reason we need the address is when we print out a work order. It displays the FLOC ID but we need the address to be printed out on the order.

is it possible to read remote a functional locations from a other system. I want read them by selecting the SORT1 field from the address data.

thank you for the answers. I know the TCode BAPI but alle BAPIs there can't find a functional location with selection on SORT1 field.
To solve the problem with the own FM I know, but I'm looking first for a standard module. I think their is no standard module and so I must do it myself.

i have to write a report that displays the class and class descriptions for a function location. the user passes in either the function location(TPLNR) or the class name and the report should display the the class characteristics and resp. values. Is there a FM that i coud use?

ATTENTION MOZILLA DEVELOPERS!!!! I have had numerous issues all occuring within 24-48 hours,The latest is location/address bar not working completely! Who has solutions and fixes that actually work???

Windows 7 32bit Firefox 3.6.1.1 .... I really liked Firefox until recently!!!!
I'm not even going to explain all the problems I have had in the last 2 days, but i will tell you i have read so many forums and have done A LOT of fixing, 8 hours worth!! So before someone suggests for me to try a common fix I have done almost all things like. 
Disable extensions 
Disabled/Remove add ons 
Tried all in safe mode 
Deleted files in Firefox Profile 
Renamed files in Firefox Profile 
I have done almost everything except remove Firefox and use a different browser. 
What gets me most is this site (Mozilla support) is the least helpful!! i have found solutions that worked off of Non Mozilla forums!! 
Ok here goes...... 1. Auto complete works in location/address bar, when I click ENTER on keyboard or click the blue arrow in address bar NOTHING HAPPENS!!! I can go to bookmarks click on one and it will go right to the page! It's like the address bar is dead! 2. I have NO search engines in the search bar located right next to address bar, the only solution I found for that called for typing commands in the address bar, which i can do but it wont do anything!!! 
Please keep in mind I did a full Google search on these problems and have found that a lot of people have the same issues regardless of Firefox versions or Operating systems!! 
This is my last attempt to get accurate and proven solutions/fixes to these problems before I wash my hands of Mozilla, I'm sure someone will tell me to just do it!!! 
I am hoping to get knowledgeable responses to this post!!

If the 11.01 & 11.02 are empty backups then make sure that create a backup of the other .json backups elsewhere as soon as possible to avoid losing backups that may still work.
The other profiles appear to have older bookmarks. You can check the file compatibility.ini in a profile to see which version of Firefox last used that profile.
A possibility is to create a fourth profile to test each of the JSON backups and check which bookmarks they store. If you open that profile with the -no-remote switch then you can copy and paste bookmarks from one profile (instance) to another profile. Both profiles need to be open at the same time to do that.
