Functional locations from order to notification

We have a small problem regarding how the functional location field in the notification is filled. The user creates an order Iw31, and on his peronal settings there is defined a value for functional location, the top of a hierarchy. In the order he changes this value to the correct functional location, and everything else in the order, then he saves it and a notification is created (for some ordertypes) in that notification the functional location is not from the order, but from the personal settings, if we remove the personal settings the notification is updated correct. Is there a way to get it updated correct without removing the value from the personal setting?

Its not possible when you set User Default values settings. Check the below links.

If you create notifications in which certain data is always the same, you can permanently define certain user default values to make it easier to create the notifications. The system automatically copies this default data into the appropriate notification fields. You can, however, overwrite the proposed information.

Sold to Party data transfer from Order to Notification

Hi,
According to our process, the person who reports a malfunction or requests service for customer can also generate the appropriate order. In Order Customizing, the indicator "Maintain Notification data on order header" is set, this enables system to immediately create a notification in the background when you create the order. Due to this, reference objects, dates, work center, etc are automatically copied from Order to Notifications as expected. However, Sold-to Party / Customer is not getting copied from Order to Notification.
Following items have been configured:
- Both order & notification have the same partner procedure
- No user-exit is active
- We do not copy the partner from the reference object(e.g. equipment) to the service order. We plan to enter the customer number directly in the service order (as the equipment is not going to have a customer/partner number)
- "Copy Partner Functions to Master and Movement Data" customizing is activated for our partner procedure
Any suggestions, which will enable copying of customer / sold-to party data from Order to notification through configuration.

Pass field from order to notif in automatic creation of notif from order

Hi all,
I am scheduling a maintenance plan from IP10. According to the configuration work order is automatically created. When PREV type order is created then one notification is also automatically created. I need to pass some user fields from maintenance plan/work order to notification.
Any body has any idea of user exit or badi?

What User Fields you want to pass ,explain in detail , Usually all many fields automatically gets passed like Technical objects , Maintenance Plan Number ..................... , Even the Long text from Order can be made to pass in customisation , kindly mention user fields u need to pass

Clear Asset Master when creating a Functional Location from a model?

Hi experts,
Is it possible to clear the asset master of a functional location when you are creating one from a copy that has an asset?
I do a clear in user-exit (ZXLOMU01) of this value but when it returns from the next call customer, the program still have the value in IFLO.

Propagate long text from order to notification, notification to order

Hi Experts!
Like in subject I want to propagate long text from PM order to PM notification and the other way round. If text will be changed in one document it should be changed in second too.
Have you any idea how to do that?

If these are two different fields having different data elements then I dont think its possible until and unless they both have the same data element...
if they have the same data element I think you can keep the long text for the data element and it will reflect both the sides...

Missing Functionality: Copy from orders and pick and pack functions

When I create a delivery note from the Sales A/R Delivery menu using the "Copy from" function and select two or more orders having different payment methods, system show me one delivery notes and alerts me that orders have two different payment terms.
If i do the same in the Pick and Pack selecting lines from different orders, system show me one delivery notes without alerts me that orders have two different payment terms.
This behavior is contradictory. The system should have same behaviour in the "Copy from" functionality and in Pick and Pack.

PM Notification contains functional location after dismantling

Dear Gentlemen,
We are facing the following problem.
An equipment is installed on a functional location.
A maintenance notification is created for the equipment.
The maintenance notification automatically takes on the functional
location number.
Now an order is created for the functional location that does NOT refer
to the notification mentioned. With a reservation referring to the orderthe equipment is dismantled from the functional location with transaction
IE4N.
The equipment is now in stock and no longer installed on the functional
location. However, the original notification still refers to the
functional location.
When we execute transaction IW28 (overview of notifications for the
functional location) the notification is still displayed in spite of thefact that the notification is for the equipment that does not belong to
the functional location anymore.
Is there a way to remove the functional location automatically from the
notification for the equipment after the dismantling operation has takenplace?

Steps for Reconstruction
1) Equipment installed on functional location
2) Transaction IW21 to create a notification for the equipment
3) Notification contains the functional location
4) Transaction IW31 to create an order the functional location
5) Enter the material of the equipment as a reservation
6) Release the order with transaction IW32
7) Transaction IE4N to dismantle the equipment from the functional
location with reference to the reservation from the order
8) Transaction IW28 to display all notifications for the functional
lcoation. The notification is still displayed but the equipment is no
longer installed on the functional location!

Hi Pierre,
The Procedure followed by SAP is to maintain the state of equipments during creation of the notification. The process in the notification is before dismantling of the equipment so standard process says you should complete the noitification rather than changing the equipment in the notification.
Now for better explanation, can you just specify for what case the notification is created? And what is the problem if the functional location is not removed?

Listing of Functional Locations in a Heirarchical Order in PM module

Hi Gurus ,
                 I am working on a requirement to display the Functional Locations in a heirarchical order for a given input Functional Location from table IFLOT. This is to be done by selecting all functional locations with the same String Indicator and the next lower heirarchy level for a given functional location.
    The above procedure is to be done upto 2 levels.
For eg .
Input given: AA (Functional location with heirarchy XX-NN-XX)
Then , my report should display
Level 2      Level 3
AA-22       AA-22-BB

Hi,
When you are fetching the data from IFLOT
first table TNAPR field.
For each TNAPR you have to check Superior FL(TPLMA) field repeatedly till all the below levels have been fetched.
So the IFLOT select should be in a loop pass.
After fetching all the Levels of Values for FL, then you can put them in a string by concatenating as per your requirement and display.

Populating Maint wrk Ctr through Functional Location(FL) in order

Hi,
we are facing one issue like when we are entering the Fucntional locaiton on the initial screen of IW31 and then enter the order the Maint wrk ctr related to the functional location gets copied under the field in Header tab.But when we enter the FL inside the header and not at initial screen then it is not copying the Maint wrk ctr from FL to that order.
What could be the reason?

Hi Aachal,
I can say when you declare Function location initially that means " You are creating an order on that function location " so SAP will pull the data related to object and shows on header.
And When you are declaring Function location in IW31 ( Header Screen ) the " You are assigning function location to Order , and might be you are going to use different work center for this maintenance " so SAP will not populate reference object info there.

I have activated the required BADI's and adapter objects for func loc and equipment. but i am not able to replicate the funcloc and equipment from ecc to crm.

As of SAP CRM 7.0 you can replicate functional locations from SAP ERP to SAP CRM. This function is supported as of SAP enhancement package 4 for SAP ERP 6.0.
In SAP CRM, functional locations are represented as object components of an installed base. The structure of functional locations is also replicated, and reflected in the installed base structure. If you replicate functional locations and pieces of equipment, the assignment of equipment to functional locations is also reflected in the installed base structure. The following replication processes are available:
- Initial download of functional locations from SAP ERP to SAP CRM in R3AS tcode.

Functional location in Measuring Point and while creating M.plan or differe

we found that functional location in Measuring point and M.plan functional location Measuring point are differrent, how to restrict that one ,we need automatically flow of functional location from measuring point to Maintenance plan.

If you created the Measuring Point for the selected FL, then that measuring point will be populated automatically. If you have more than one measuring point, then you can select using Possible entries option.
In this case, I think its not possible to restrict with configuration.
IPRM0004 Maintenance plan / item: Customer check for time "SAVE"
Use this user exit, while saving check for the functional location for the selected measuring point & give error message.
Use tables IMPTT to get Object Number of FL. Use IFLOT to get the FL.

thank you for the answers. I know the TCode BAPI but alle BAPIs there can't find a functional location with selection on SORT1 field.
To solve the problem with the own FM I know, but I'm looking first for a standard module. I think their is no standard module and so I must do it myself.

Creation of breakdown order only from the breakdown notification

While creating the order from the notification client has requirement that user should able to create the breakdown order only from the breakdown notification and not from the any type of notification.
Please guide me what are the configuration that I am missing or do I need to use any BAPI/FM for the above functionality.

you can use following customizing setting:
Plant Maintenance and Customer Service - Maintenance and Service Processing - Maintenance and Service Notifications - Notification Creation - Notification Types - Assign Notification Types to Order Types
Here you can define the default order type for a notification type.

How to create a Return Order from a Quality Notification?

Hi everyone at SDN.
Really need some help on this issue we are having. We want to create a Return Order from a Quality Notification, ie. the document flow should be:
:: Serv. notif 000200000482
   :: Return Order 0060299453
In the SAPGUI we are able to do this by going into transaction QN02, enter the notification number and in the menu: "Notification" --> "Functions" --> "Sales Order" --> "Create Selection of Order Type". Now we select the Return Order type and the result is as wanted.
However, we want to do all this in ABAP instead. The BAPI I have tried with is BAPI_CUSTOMERRETURN_CREATE.
And the following code is used:
    ls_order_h_in-refobjtype = 'BUS2078'. "Quality Notification
    ls_order_h_in-refdoctype = 'Z5'. "Quality Notification type
    ls_order_h_in-refobjkey = '000200000482'. "Ref. Quality Notification
    ls_order_h_in-doc_type = 'ZREN'. "Return Order type
    ls_order_h_in-sales_org = 'S001'.
    ls_order_h_in-distr_chan = '01'.
    ls_order_h_in-division = '01'.
Then I add a material as well as the mandatory partner functions. When I execute the Return Order is created but when I check the document flow for the Return Order there is no link to the Quality Notification.
Any suggestions on how to do this? I have tried using FM RV_DOCUMENT_FLOW_UPDATE_U for updating the document flow but it doesn't seem to like it when I enter a Notification in there. And when I run FM RV_ORDER_FLOW_INFORMATION for the above (working) Return Order there is no Quality Notification available. So this leads me to believe that I have to update something else then VBFA (Sales Document Flow)...
I would really appreciate all the help I can get on this.

IH01 Functional location structure list of orders

Hello experts,
Do you know how to change the variant when you want to select orders from IH01?
Example
you open IH01 and click somewher on the structure, then you click environment- orders. The system leads you to the selection screen "functional location structure list of orders" here some selection fields are already filled. Such as period and also the status of the orders has already a flag.
Do you know how to change this?
I already saved User variants --> this does not help and also a SAP_TCODE_IW39 Variant.
Do you know how to change the period of time for the selection?
