Functionality of Distribution Organization

Hello Gurus
In Organization Parameters window>ATP, Pick, Item-Sourcing Tab>Distributed Parameters Block>Distribution Organization Checkbox.
What is the functionality of this check box?
Because if I check this check box, I am not able to launch pick realease my sale order. It is giving the following error.
"Error: This action cannot be performed on all selected records."
If I uncheck this check box, my shipping transaction is working fine (i.e. launch pick release is working fine). Please explain.

RIMODGEN is different as compare to RIMODAC2 OR RCPTRAN4. But I understand your concern here. RIMODAC2 will do the trik, then why do we need any RCPTRAN4?
You see, generally we run this RIMODAC2 program after the IM is generated. So, after RIMODAC2 run, there is no need for RCPTRAN4.
But this run time for the RIMODAC2 can be reduced if we perform RCPTRAN4 run just before RIMODAC2 run. Since all the change pointer regarding material/customer changes are already processed by the RCPTRAN4 run. So, RIMODAC2 will take time to send the newly added materials to APO (if any new material is added to the IM by REMODGEN) only.
When there is a change in a material and you send the change transfer by RIMODAC2, then this program send the whole master data again, not only the change part. So, by design RIMODAC2 takes more time as compare to RCPTRAN4.
Just to add some more, ther is RIMODINI which can take care of everything- whether there is a change in the master data or new master data addition in the IM (Integration Model). But do we schedule this program everyday? No, as it takes much longer run time, as its send all the master data inside the IM, whether there is a change or not.
But sometimes we need to schedule this program if any certain inconsistency arise (like some user has made some change in the master data, directly in APO by mistake, OR there is very unique inconsistency in the PPM due to change pointer was not processed correctly due to deletion flag in the BOM in ECC and later the deletion flag was removed). So, this program can be schedule weekly basis to resolve such inconsistency.

VERY Disappointed-just upgraded from 12 to 13 and the functionality of the Organizer has completely changed

I have been a long time user of Photoshop elements/Premier and I just loaded version 13 (from 12) and they have completely changed the functionality of the organizer! OMG!!!!! You can no longer move a picture easily in the albums and you MUST use one of the Adobe preset backgrounds for a slide show. Really??? Generally I like the templates for certain uses but I am creating long movies of travels. I do NOT want your backgrounds, but apparently I have no choice. And I can no longer interface with Premier - then why did you sell them to me as a package?
I am sure I can't get my money back because I did a direct download but I have uninstalled the program and gone back to version 12 - BUYER BEWARE if you have been using Premier with the organizer it will not work seamlessly. Such a disappointment because a good and generally well functioning program has been butchered. .

I've just looked to buy iCab as people have suggested but reviews suggest it doesn't work reliably since IOS5.
Frankly I feel cheated and I've been a historic fan since having an Apple IIci 20 years ago. A major plus point in iPad usability has gone. Funilly enough I was about to recommend 25 iPads as Safari was so useable and the users I had in mind having seen my iPad were keen. But I couldn't hand on heart recommend iPads now and after seeing how Apple drops key functionality and usability wouldn't trust this supplier. Guess I'm glad I didn't recommend them and then have this happen.
And if I want tabs I'd have gone with Andriod for half the price.
It wouldn't be so bad if I could reverse the upgrade.
Anyone know how to cheat the system?

Sales organization is a legal entity where all G/L accounts ,daily transactions takes place
Functions :
Sales orgn is assigned at company code level .It can have more that 1sales orgn assigned to a single company code.
Sales orgn is assigned to distribution channel , division which makes a sales area
Sales orgn is assigned to dist channel and plant

Function to find organization unit

Hi all,
I'd like to know if functions exist in R/3 to find easily an organizational unit in the tree of the relationship between organizational unit.
For example, you have the id of an OU and you need to know the top of the list of this OU in the hierarchical structure (the list of the OU depending between them).
I'd appreciate very much if anyone could provide some help regarding this topic.

Use Function Module RHPH_STRUCTURE_READ with parameters
PLVAR                           01
OTYPE                           0U        (Business Unit) OBJID                           50050001 (example)
WEGID                           Z-0U-O (Custom Eval Path)
BEGDA                           12/06/2005
ENDDA                           12/06/2005
This will return an internal table of all Orgs under the Business Unit. You should sort the table by SEQNR & get the first Object type O record. Thats your Chief Org Unit for the Business Unit.

Function to obtain organization.

Hello experts,
We are using SRM 5.0, and have a question on how to obtain the following:
In transaction BBP_PD, I find a Purchase Order with Object type = BUS2201 and ObjectID = PO number.
In the results, I see a section that says "Organizations", with information at the header level.
Is there a function that brings me those results? If so which one is it?
From what I found, the system makes a direct call to table BBP_PDORG, but it makes the search by GUID, but I don't know where it's obtaining it from...

Then, get the purchasing organization and purchasing group for each item and look for them in export parameter from FM BBP_OM_DETERMINE_RESP_PGRP

Distribution Organization - Big Departmental Customer - Multiple Stores -

I need to set up a Customer with multiple stores. The Warehouse management software needs information about the stores from a store master ( called store distro) Any suggestions about how this is done in SAP B1? Is there an Add-on specifically for wholesale distribution in SAP B1? Any suggestions greatly appreciated

SAP Business One works very well for Wholesale distribution. The System setup would depend on the requirement of your Customer.
Option 1: You can setup one Customer and setup mutiple Shipto Addresses for the different stores
Options 2: If you want to process Invoices to the different stores and get Paid from the HeadOffice. You can setup each Store as a Customer and set the HeadOffice as a Consolidated BP. This can be done by going to the Accounting Tab of the BP Account for the Stores and enter the HeadOffice BP Code as the Consolidated BP..

Fox Function for Distribution

Hi Guys,
I have requirement that when the user enter the Prod Units (Key Fig) in Local currency(100) then it has to spread to global Currency(50). Even the UOM(Column in the example) which is on 0unit. has to spread. (LB or KG,,,,ETC)
I am thing on haveing Fox Function which will do this below is my function.
For Eg:
BA     Plant     UOM     Prod unit     curr type
1000     10     LB     10000     100
1000     10     LB     10000     50

My Fox Function:

Once i have changed the Fox Function. It worked for me.

How do I put my bookmarks in alphabetical order? I can use the sort by function in the organize bookmarks tab but it does not save.

When I open the bookmark tab my bookmarks are sorted in random order. I want to open the bookmark tab and have them in alphabetical order. How do I set this as the default for bookmarks?

Missing Thumbnails in Organizer Importing Function

I recently upgraded my my operating system from Windows XP to Vista. When I used the import function in Elements Organizer (with XP) I could preview the thumbnails and select the desired images on the camera or compact flash card. Now that I have moved to Vista the thumbnail preview or selection is no longer visible or accessable.
I have been through the software options, search engines and this forum but have seen nothing about this problem. I do sometimes have a perchance to miss the obvious and apologize if this is the case. Any help is appreciated.

Possibly due to display or dpi settings in the Windows control panel being below 96 dpi or 100% especially if you have a short screen e.g. laptop or notebook.
A work around is to import everything from the card into a folder on the hard drive. Then use File à Get Photos
It’s then possible to select and deselect from the Organizer import dialog.

Planning function: distribution with keys and whole numbered results

Hello,
using the planning function type "distribution" with keys yearly values shall be distributed to monthly values. However, the resulting values shall be whole-numbered - e.g. the planned sales of 10 machines per year shall be distributed to monthly values. The result shall not be 12 times 0.833 but 10 times one and two times 0. Is there a "smart" way to do this?
Presently I can think only of an approach using a fox formula where the result values are calculated using functions like "trunc" and "frac".

Once you get the distribution resuklts, apply FOX to trim the decimals and put both the functions in a sequence.

Query on Organizer-function

Hi,
I am looking for a new phone. I now have a Siemens, but would like to switch to a Nokia. Choosing the right model however is difficult for me. The reason is that I require a specific function of the organizer.
In a Nokia manual the function I'm looking for seems to be called a "Calander note". However, I could not figure out whether this will let me do what I need to be able to, which are:
1. Set an alarm on such a note (e.g. of type Memo)
2. Be able to (weekly) repeat this alarm on a given day of the week at a specific time, e.g. *every* week on Monday and Thursday at 5 pm (e.g. to pick up kids from school).
The manual just says here to "Fill in the fields". As you will understand this is not very clear to me.
For other reasons (Bluetooth, USB-connector, handsfree speaker, price) I have come to the following shortlist:

- 3500 Classic
- 6085
- 6120 Classic
- 6151
- 6233
Now, is there anyone that owns one of these models who can inform me whether the above listed function is available in his/her phone (or owns another model that has this function)?

all the models support repeating pattern calendar notes (normally you choose "add new meeting" and then it is repeated weekly and you can add an alarm to it and you can specify on what time the alarm is set (for example 15 mins. before start.
This is verybasic functionality of any Nokia phone,that has a calendar

Org, structure defn can be different for different industries, but in general it can be defined as mentioned below.
Org. Structure is:
You use the organizational structure to represent and process
disciplinary assignments, remuneration flows and statistical aggregations.
As asked by you 1 example for this is:
In an insurance company, the organizational structure models the
hierarchical picture of an organization (generally sales and distribution), in particular for
the derivation of overriding commissions.
One more definition for Org. Structure which can throw more light in understanding this is:
"A hierarchy in which the organizational units in an enterprise are arranged according to tasks and functions.
The organizational structure differs from the administrative enterprise or personnel structure, whose
structural elements are relevant to payroll accounting and accounting."

Organizational structures must be defined in SAP to represent the structure of the organization. These structures can be defined independently for each functional area of the system. For example, the sales department will want to define sales organizations, distribution channels and divisions (product groups), while the purchasing department will want to define purchasing organizations, plants and storage locations. Independent of these structures, a structure must be defined in financial accounting (FI) that represents the legal reporting entity. This structure is represented by the company code. The balance sheet and the profit and loss statement are prepared for the company code.
Functional areas and organizational structures include:
Functional area Organizational structure
Sales and distribution -> Sales organization, distribution channel, division, sales area, ...
Financial accounting -> Company code, chart of accounts, business area, ...
Logistics -> Purchasing organization, purchasing group, plant, storage location,...
Controlling -> Controlling area, cost centre, profit centre, ...
Human resources -> Personnel area, employee group, employee subgroup, ...
General data that is used by all company codes is stored at a client level. This means that data valid for all functional areas needs to be stored only once (eg vendor name and address is stored at the client level whilst payment terms may vary for each company code).
Organizational structures can be used to control access to processing within the organization. For example, users can be restricted to process documents for their own company code only.

Organization announcements Using CRM and SAP portal

Dear Gurus,
I am trying to build functionality for an organization to do their announcements using CRM 7.0, Once the announcement is published it should be visible on the SAP Portal. I am planning to do like this:
1) Create a campaign using mail form (Announcement content) and target group
2) Select the communication method as e-mail and I have done settings in SPRO to create the activity for an outgoing mail
3) Release the campaign and execute the campaign
4) Upon execution the CRM system will create the activity for an outgoing email (announcement)
4) Create an iView in portal
5) Pull the activities created on CRM and display on the portal iView
My questions are:
1) Is there any standard iView to do this
2) Is there any other standard functionality available to do this announcement using CRM and Portal
3) What are the lining table between Campaign activity and mail forms (e-mail content for announcement) - When I go activity search on CRM WEB UI I can see these activities and also I can see these activities on CRMD_orderadm_h, but unable to get the link tables between this activity and outgoing mail forms.
