FXO Trunk Group rings to a busy signal

I have setup a trunk group for my (4) FXO ports. The ports are all setup with "connection plar 2000" since all calls need to route to a parallel huntgroup of which the pilot is 2000. If I cann one of the POTS lines in the group and do not pick it up, the call goes to a busy signal after about 3 rings. I have final destination set to a script. Not sure on why I am getting the busy signal.
If stack up the calls on all phones the hunt group, the nex tell will route to the script just fine and not give a busy signal. Not sure if that gives any clues to my issue or not.

If I CALL one of the the lead POTS line and do not pick it up the call on a phone that is in the hunt group, the call goes to a busy signal after about 3 rings. I have huntgroup final destination set to an auto attendant script. Not sure on why I am getting the busy signal.
If I stack up the calls on all phones the hunt group by calling, answering them, and putting them on hold, the next call beyond the number of phones I ahve in the huntgroup does route to the script just fine and not give a busy signal. Not sure if that gives any clues to my issue or not.

Hp photosmart 7520 fax rings, then gives busy signal

I have done all fax testing I can find. When I try to receive fax, it rings, I accept, and it says connecting, then gets busy signal and says failed.
When I send, it rings, then tries to connect, the fax beeping signal comes on, then I get a click and then a busy signal.
It connects to the other line but when trying to transmit, suddenly goes to busy signal in both send and receive.
Please help? Is my modem bad? It used to work just fine.

I see you are unable to send and receive faxes when using the Photosmart 7520. Have you tried running the fax test by pressing Fax>Settings>Fax Tools then selecting Fax Test?
If you have in the past or just now, what are the results? If you connect a telephone to the same wall jack the fax uses, is there a dial tone?

How to put individual FXO trunk into a trunk group

I have a 3725 with 2 vic2-4fxo cards configured as H.323 in ccm 4.0.2a. Currently I have to configure 8 pots dial peers to point to each fxo port for outbound call. I would like to find out if there is a way set up like a trunk group for fxo that way I just need one pots dial peer and point it to the trunk group instead of 8 seperate dial peers pointing to each port. Kinda like route group and route list in ccm.
Can someone help ?

This sounds like something on the carrier's end. Call them and see if they have your account provisioned for voicemail.

SPA 8000 Trunk Group Hunting

I have a customer with an SPA 8000. In the past the customer says that he was able to pick up his desk phone and make an outbound call from his did back into his did number on the trunk group and then listen to his hold message on his phone system to make sure that it was updated.
Sometime he says this stopped working. I went down there, plugged directly into the SPA 8000 and made an outbound call to his DID. Immediately a busy was returned.
I came back to my office and hooked up my lab SPA8000. I was able to recreate the issue. I would call the test number I assigned to the trunk group off port 1 and receive an immediate busy signal. However, if I plugged a 2nd phone into port 2 and made the same call it would ring through to the other line.
I swapped phones between the ports and the issue followed line 1. No matter what phone I plug into line 2 I can get the call to go out through the SPA and then come back in the other line.
I played with the hunt group settings and that didn't help at all. In my test setup I have 3 lines configured.
Here are my hunt group settings as it sits right now:
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,hunt=re;*;1
I tried reversing it and that made no difference, as I was wondering if it was a glare issue.
Any ideas on this? I'm stumped, but I know that if I setup a call forward to the user's did in my upstream SBC the outbound call on line 1 will ring into line 2.

Other than changing the SIM card, you don't mention any troubleshooting you did with your phone.
If you haven't already, try the following steps as needed:
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Setting.
Reset phone - press both home and sleep/wake buttons until the Apple logo appears.
Restore phone in iTunes using a backup
Restore in iTunes as a new iPhone
IF the last step doesn't fix it, there is a hardware problem and you should make an appt. with an Apple Store Genius Bar. The fact that you haven't dropped the phone by no means rules out hardware issues.

Fast busy signal with incoming calls and unable to connect to voice mail

We are using CISCO 2821. The system started to have problem connecting to voice mailbox (when dialing internally to the VM extension) and it used to take a reboot to bring it back. Now it will not connect to voice mail (gets fast busy signal), plus incoming calls get a fast busy signal after the first ring tone. To make it worse, the Call Manager Express web page does not load. Does anyone have any idea how to solve the problem? Thanks!

Called ATT...they verified the problem and said it was an intermittent signal problem....
only issue is I have to keep the phone off to make sure I received voicemails....
Definitely NOT an iPhone problem, but an ATT problem.

Rezound making a busy signal even when powered down

I have had my Rezound for about a month and have liked it; even traveled across the country with no connection problems. Then got home to the Texas hill country and it started acting up. We don't have very good signal here but even when in Kerrville where there is 3G this happens (but not San Angelo with 4G): my phone will be sitting there by its self and will start having a busy signal. I mess with the volume contol on the side that usually effects the ringer volume and it is now the in-call volume that does change the loudness of the busy signal. I can make a call out and it will temporarily stop the sound, but no one can call me while it is beeping. I went to the Verizon office, they did a factory reset, didn't fix it; they sent me a refurbished phone, trying to set it up today it did the same thing! Is there something going on with the tower that's causing this or the software? This is getting frustrating! Any help or input would really help.

Callers getting busy signal

I have several people calling since yesterday who get a busy signal. I am not on the phone when they call and it doesn't ring. I wonder why this is just now happening and why it doesn't take then to my voice mail. None of these calls are showing up under missed call or recent calls so I don't know they are calling. Has anyone ever had this problem with the 3.0?

I haven't called them yet and I hate doing that because it is so hard to find someone who knows what they are talking about.

Busy signal when is not

Need some help.
I got a Ipnone 5 Iso7 software, been working fine sence update.
But i got a wierd problem:
When i call my Mom & Dad i get a busy signal when there Iphone 4 Iso7, is Not busy.
i call everbody else i have in Contact, no problem
My mom & dad can call me and everboy else they have in there contact.
I have made a full factory restore, did no solve the problem.
Any seduction will be appreciated .

I read some where that if a contact is blocked, via the new ability in iOS7, that a busy signal is heard. However, I tested this and it didn't seem to be the case for me. I on my end, I heard about 1.5 rings then it went to VM.
So have your parents check to see if they have you blocked in their Contacts.

I just installed lync 2013 with exchange 2013 and for some reason i am getting alway a busy signal when i trial to call my AA , or the SA or a response group which i have configured with the DID
I checked enterprise voice is enabled
The AA is enabled
I run OcsUmUtil and configured it
Anyone else with the similar issues
Calling out is not a problem its just calling in
I also have my UM set up with dual startup mode

To Fix your Issue, On the property of the dial plan within Exchange management console set the VOIP security value to "Secured" and not "SIP Secured" and it will work fine.

Need to ensure a busy signal

We run a seasonal business with a Toll Free number, and during our off season we've always just had the phone off-hook (to give callers a busy signal) to avoid paying for calls to our TF number (otherwise our bill is too high during a time when we can't sell our seasonal product).
Our local phone company price hikes over the years led to us explore other options and a year ago we settled on MagicJack, which did the same thing for a fraction of the monthly cost - we plugged it into our router and then a phoneset, which we kept off-hook. This worked great until last week, when they started playing a promtional announcement pimping their own service for almost 90 second *prior* to giving the busy signal, which naturally means we now have a bunch of completed calls to our Toll Free number that we have to pay for.......VERY frustrating and not getting anywhere with MJ except the runaround.
I NEED to be sure that if we purchase a Skype Number, and don't activate voicemail and don't log in, that callers to our Skype Number will indeed get a busy signal - this is critical for us......Can someone please verify this for me before we buy a number? We don't mind a small monthly fee for the number, as long as we can be assured of a busy signal during part of the year when we're closed. In case anyone is wondering, we can't "turn off" our Toll Free number or we'll lose it.

Group Security Issue with Business Rules

Hopefully you experts out there can follow this. We have about 200 users in our Planning application split into 3 categories (Admins, Interactive Users and Planners) via groups setup in Shared services. We also have an email group list setup in Outlook that has all 200 users in it that we use to send out emails to all users regarding the application. So in Shared Services we have the email group list as an assigned group in the Planners group. So as new people are added to the group list in email they are automatically included as a user in the Planning application. People that are Admins or Interactive Users are manually added to those groups in Shared Services. Everything seemed to be working fine until we tried blocking the Planners groups from running certain business rules in the application. We have clusters setup in Essbase to control access to the business rules. I went into the cluster and set the Planners group to cannot validate or launch on certain rules but found that I now could not run the business rules either even though I am an Admin and the Admin group has vaildate and launch privledges in the cluster. I believe the issue has to do with the fact that I am by default in the Planners group because I am in the email group list which is assigned to the Planners group in Shared Services. Other than setting up and managing 3 seperate email group lists and assigning them individually in Shared Services, does anyone know how I can manage business rules security using the 3 groups i have setup? I hope this makes sense. If not I can provide more detail. Thanks.

Have you tried using Business Rules projects? Create a project for the admin Shared Services group and assign all rules to that group. Create a Planning project for planners and assign only rules that you want them to run. Any rule that planners should not have access to would be removed from the Planner business rules project, but still in the admin project for you to run.

You will probably need to create an apple Id for you grandson, so you can call that ID instead of yours.

I can't answer your Thunderbird "configuration" questions, because I'm in the living room, using the crap Vista laptop, on which I plan to install Thunderbird, and then take Windoze Mail out in the street and drive over it a few times.. I'll get back to you one way or the other, and let you know if your instructions solved the problem, or not..
I don't understand why Thunderbird "out of the box", so to speak, simply doesn't forward HTML emails with embedded graphics, (like Outlook Excess, and Winblows Mail do).. without having to go through those steps. I personally HATE HTML email, but over the years, it's become more and more prevelant.. so it's a problem I must fix..
