Game: character walks around and stops walking when hits a hole

I have a game where the character walks around the screen and stops if she hits a wall or a hole etc... - typical. HOWEVER - I coudn't get her to stop walking. Is there any standard code for this. If you tell to stop walking then she can't walk back out either etc... Also, she walked into the hole a little so being in the hole she definately couldn't walk any more not even back out as she would be walking inside the prohibited zone.

typically the character movieclip would play (to display walking animation) and the background or character would move (to convey the character's movement within the game).
stopping the character's animation requires only a stop() applied to the character movieclip and stopping the character from moving requires some other movieclip be stopped or some tween stopped or some code adjusted.

You can try this step :
Rename the opm.db file.
Close the Creative Cloud application if it's running.
Navigate to the OOBE folder.
Windows: [System drive]:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
Mac OS: /User/<username>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE folder
Rename the opm.db file to opm_old.db

When searching two word sites (i.e.router bit)page 2 inserts special character(+) between words and stops search asking if I spelled incorectly

When I'm on Firefox and enter search terms that have two words separated by a space such as "Harbor Freight" or "router bit"'if I advance to the second page a (+) sign is inserted between the words and the search stops and I'm asked to check my spelling. This does not happen if I am using Int.Expl.

I followed your instructions and installed Developer Suite 10G on Windows Vista Home Premium edition. I have Oracle 11G DB running on the same machine.
Two points, Steve:
1. When I tried to set the maximum virtual memory to 6110 an error message displayed from Windows and told me that I can't set the maximum virtual memory to more than 4096. I set it to 4090 and it worked and I got nothing wrong during the installation process.
2. After installing JInitiator and disabling Java on Firefox I called the http://127.0.0.1:8889/forms/frmservlet page and everything seemed to be OK because the Oracle Forms Services logo appeared and then a successful installation message appeared , but as I clicked (ok) to continue a gray screen appeared inside the browser (like the one displayed when you try to run a Java applet inside a browser) and then I wait to death till something appears but sadly nothing. I just get a blank gray screen inside my Firefox browser.
Do you have any idea what to do to solve the problem?

DVR says it's full and stops recording when it's not

About 10 times over the past 3 months, I've gotten an on screen message saying the dvr was full and it would stop recording. When I would go to check how full the drive was it would be 10%, 7%, 20%. Very rarely does it go above 50% full. Anyone have this happen to you?

To fix the space being reported incorrectly press menu, then go to CUSTOMER SUPPORT, then IN HOME AGENT, then SET TOP BOX AUTO CORRECTION. Please let us know if further assistance is required.

How can I limit the run time of my VI so that it starts when the arrow is clicked, and stops automatically when a specified time has elapsed using Labview 7?

I can't seem to find the proper tools to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'm guessing that you're running something in a While loop, so you should be able to stop whenever you want.
In LabVIEW 7, there is a new Express VI on the Time & Dialg palette named Elapsed Time. You specify the time you want, and it generates a boolean True after that amount of time has passed. Just connect this boolean to the Wile loops conditional terminal, either directly or "OR" it with a stop button so you can stop it yourself if needed.

Suddenly iphoto freezes and stops responding when I connect my cameras to download both photos and video. I've never had a problem downloading from these cameras before today. I have both a Nikon D700(SLR) and Kodak HD Zi8(pocket camecorder).What to do?

I've tried checking for updates (none necessary), running v 9.1.5
Everytime I open it and connect a camera I have to force quit because it stops responding and won't upload.
It's uploaded from both these cameras before with no problem.
How can I fix this?

As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

I'm trying to play an .mp4 video, but it does not display smoothly; image is jumpy. The sound is fine, but the image starts and stops. When I play the same file in WMV, displays just fine.

Any suggestions on what I can try to clear this up? Videos that I have downloaded through iTunes work just fine. I don't know how to troubleshoot this file to see what is causing the issue.

There is an Apache timeout directive that you can increase, which should solve both problems. It looks like after the timeout the request is being retried, which may be the result of a different Apache directive. The access and error logs should show you some useful information about these cases. Some other reader might offer what those directives are, I'm not sure.
That you are seeing the page processes complete even though the HTTP request times out is not strange. Once the server-side code is invoked, the request timeout cannot stop it.

Blob Brush Tool and Selecting Lines when Hitting Ctrl Z

I've done searches for this answer, but I'm afraid it's too specific. Basically, in Windows 7's Illustrator holding the ctrl key is a shortcut to the selection tool when someone is using the blob brush tool. (among others as well) This means that if my cursor is ever hovering over a line when I hit undo (ctrl+z) it also selects the line because I've hit the ctrl key. That means after the initial undo, I have to also move my cursor to another spot where there is no line and hit the control key again to deselect the line that became highlighted when I hit ctrl+z.
I know it's not a big deal, but having to move your cursor every time you want to undo a mistake is really annoying. Selecting the shape doesn't effect my drawing, but I'd rather not have a set of lines highlighted while I'm drawing.
Is there a way I can stop Illustrator from selecting line segments when holding the control key?

I'm having trouble understanding exactly what you mean. Floating the cursor over a line and then pressing Ctrl doesn't select the line -- it just temporarily changes the cursor to the last selection tool used. Nothing gets selected when you let go of the Ctrl-Z. However, read on:
Regardless of where the cursor is, pressing Ctrl-Z just undoes the last operation. This could, of course, result in something being re-selected as a consequence of the UnDo. Are you perhaps pressing the left mouse button while pressing Ctrl-Z?

If you have to go through either a reset or restore frequently, then it's best that you send it for service.

Enable Recording multi-tracks when hit the '*'

hi,
I'm trying to record 3 vocal tracks at once now.And yes,what i can do is,enable 3 of them by hit on the 'R' and will be the RED blink after hited!
But i realize that it posible to do as below situation, when come to single track (when i recording guitar track),select/highlight the track i want to record and hit the '*' it'll auto enable the recording 'R' button and start record now!!
Now,when come to more than 1 track,like what i'm trying to do now...it can't be(auto enable 'R' button and record immediately) when hit the '*', but only available to the track of highlight (only able to 1 track).however i try to highlight 3 tracks of them...but can't be!!
Need your helps and precious opinion here.Thanks and appreciate so much!!

i tried this method before...Not Work at all...When you highlight the tracks you want in Mixer...it do highlighting...But in the Arrange Window it Don't!!
But the idea of GROUPING from " ambient8 " really work...haaa...i just done it!!!

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.

If you tap and hold down the icon - and the X does not appear on the icon - you will not be able to delete it without totally downloading it. Finish the download and then delete it.
