             Sol :
                     Created an External LOV With new AM, CO.Created a new Message LOV with Personilization  and Extended to the LOV which i created, I was able to navigate to next page(Review) and when i hit
                    Submit it hangs
Thanks

Salman,
There is an Apache timeout directive that you can increase, which should solve both problems. It looks like after the timeout the request is being retried, which may be the result of a different Apache directive. The access and error logs should show you some useful information about these cases. Some other reader might offer what those directives are, I'm not sure.
That you are seeing the page processes complete even though the HTTP request times out is not strange. Once the server-side code is invoked, the request timeout cannot stop it.

    Hi there, I wonder if you can help me,
    When printing, on Pages 09, once I have confirmed the printing settings, the Proccessing Page Hangs, and then Pages begins to freeze, and then says Error While Printing. ScreenShots are below.
    Thanks for your help, in advance.

    Do you have the same problem with printing from other apps, such as TextEdit? Have you looked at your printer's control panel to see if an error condition is displayed there, and if so, what is it?

  • 40% cpu spike when scrolling

    When I start to scroll rapidly in Safari, Finder, and other apps, the cpu load bumps up by a massive 40% (WindowServer).
    Isn't this load supposed to be handled by the GPU? What's wrong?
    I'm on a Mid 2009 Macbook Pro, 8 GB RAM, SSD. Everything worked flawlessly in Mavericks.

    ...is that with every patch or just when you select a random patch after you opened the concert and then it's o.k.?...
    i'm asking because i have a similar issue: when i open my concert the cpu spikes when i hit a pad (that's connected to my looper plugin)...after that the system/mainstage is 100% fine, meaning i don't have any peaks or crashes or whatever...my workaround is that right after i opened the concert i hit various pads on different controllers (different midi channels) and let the system/mainstage peak and after that it's o.k...it seems like mainstage needs a "wake up call" and then behaves "normal"...

  • Why display hanging and software problem when upgraded to ios 8

    Why display hanging and software problem when upgraded to ios 8

    Hi Redhazel,
    Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    To troubleshoot this issue where you're experiencing a poor image quality with your iPhone's camera, please follow the troubleshooting below.
    Camera isn't functioning or has undesired image quality
    If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
    If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tappingSettings > General > Restrictions.
    Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
    Cases can interfere with the camera and the flash. Try gently cleaning the lens with a clean dry cloth or removing the case if you see image or color-quality issues with photos.
    Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
    Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
    Try to remain steady while focusing:
    Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center.
    Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
    Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. You can also tap to readjust focus while recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll.
    Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
    If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.
    iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
    Cheers,
    Alex H.

    Hi,When I submit the budget for approval, it is approved and base lined when we submit it for approval. It does not go in approval hierarchy. We want it to flow through approval hierarchy.

    Hi Amit,
    if I understand correctly, you just need for a particular object a tooltip to be showed.
    There is no such functionality hence you used the trick of using a hyperlink, which if clicked generates undesired behavior.
    Hyperlinks don't allow themselves to be disabled, therefore if you are using that workaround you must cope with that.
    I would suggest to create an Idea at [https://ideas.sap.com] for having in the properties of an object a tooltip, then post the link to the idea here and other users will vote if they like the idea.
    Thanks and regards,
    Simone

  • Page hangs and submits twice

    I have page which has three on-submit processes. All of the processes call stored procedures. One of the process takes over 6 to 8 minutes and causes the page to hang and then times out, i.e. instead of showing the next page, I see "page cannot be displayed" message. Moreover, it seems that page has been submitted twice. The other strange thing is that stored procedures called by the page processes finish successfully even though the user do not go to the next page to see the results of the work accomplished by these store procedures.
    I have tried this experiment with a simpler page with one submit button which invokes one long running process when pressed. It seems when page hangs it submits again. I can attest this as there is a row being inserted by the stored procedure called by the on-sumbit process. I see this row being submitted twice with a time span of approximately 5 minutes (there is column for create_date and create_user).
    I have seen suggestions for using dbms_job for long running process, but this operation has to be done synchronously and user needs to see the results of the process on the next page. If the job is done asynchronously, then how can I refresh the hanging page and take the user to the result page.
    TIA,
    Salman

    Salman,
    There is an Apache timeout directive that you can increase, which should solve both problems.

  • Mac OS 10.8 Temp and CPU spikes

    I'm having a strange problem where any random program I have open will suddenly jump to 100% + CPU in activity monitor making the CPU temps jump from ~55C to 80 or 90C. This is really annoying as I have to close the affected program and reopen it when this happens.  It seems to happen completely randomly.  I first noticed this problem while running the Bitcoin-qt client however, while downloading blocks it took up a reported 700% CPU.
    Any assistance would be great.
    Thank you!

  • Page Text and Photos dissapear when I Publish

    Here is a new problem I am encountering and wondering if there is anyone who knows how to resolve this. I have one certain page on my website that when I publish it to the desktop, and open it, the page header is there, but all the text and photos are gone. I'm using the "black" theme and I believe I used the welcome template. The page consists of a text box and photos, using the media place holders. The text is just white arial font, like on all my other pages. Since this is a page full of people writing in to the website, the correspondence from each person is separated by a graphic line. I have used the graphic line on other pages to separate want ads and on those pages, I am not having a publishing problem. I have already recreated this page from scratch once. It published fine a few times then one day all the text and pictures have disappeared again. Does anyone have any idea what is going wrong? I've tried deleting the cashe and we've tried "repair permissions - disk utilities."

    Posting more info on this problem:
    I did a test and think I have found a clue on what is going on. I carefully recreated the original page from scratch first with text only. I published it to make sure the text would publish. Then I added the photos back to the page using the image placeholders. I then published again and both text and photos are still there. Next, I duplicated the page, called it Mail Page #2, and noticed as soon as the page was duplicated, the section with text and photos now has a "text Imaging Indicator" on it in that section. the original page does not have that indicator. When I published the site again and this page now is publishing blank (all black, text and photos missing; only the header remains and that actually is a text w/shadow, so its an image). The original page where the imaging indicator did not turn on, that page is still publishing normally. So this has something to do with iWeb converting that section that has text and pictures, into an image. Other than that, I am still at a loss as to why it happens or how to avoid it. If anyone has any input I would greatly appreciate it. I will post back if I have additional info.

  • LabView Hangs and Shuts Down When Indexing

    Hello all,
    Something very strange is happening.  Below is the part of the VI having problem.  The VI runs and saves normally when it is like what it is below.  But when I right click on that square on the loop to change to "enable indexing" and save, labview crashes.  I am trying to collect the data and eventually write to a file, but labview won't let me index.

    Hi Bladhart,
    now you gave us just one more information: It's LV-RT... Do you mind to name the version too?
    Can you reproduce the problem when replacing the subvis by a simple "random" function or using a cluster constant?
    You always should give as much information as possible when asking for help!

  • Game: character walks around and stops walking when hits a hole

    Hi
    I have a game where the character walks around the screen and stops if she hits a wall or a hole etc... - typical. HOWEVER - I coudn't get her to stop walking. Is there any standard code for this. If you tell to stop walking then she can't walk back out either etc... Also, she walked into the hole a little so being in the hole she definately couldn't walk any more not even back out as she would be walking inside the prohibited zone.

    typically the character movieclip would play (to display walking animation) and the background or character would move (to convey the character's movement within the game).
    stopping the character's animation requires only a stop() applied to the character movieclip and stopping the character from moving requires some other movieclip be stopped or some tween stopped or some code adjusted.

  • 404 error when hit submit from php file for requested path E:\vise\jqproject\web\errorpages\403_error.htm

    I have a php script that when I hit submit, it submits the form to another php file with a get command.  This worked about a month ago, but this month it's having issues.  This is what the relevant code looks like in the table php file. Running
    table.php shows the table in the browser and has 404 errors when I hit submit.
    table.php:
        <body>
            <h1> Visual Evaluation Entry Table </h1>
            <form method="get" action="visEupload.php">
        <table id="bigTable" border="1">
            <thead>
             <tr>
               <!--<th id="bandY" class="col3">Bands @263mm Y</th><th id="bandM" class="col3">Bands @263mm M</th><th id="bandC" class="col3">Bands
    @263mm C</th><th id="bandK" class="col3">Bands @263mm K</th><th id="Comments" class="col3">Comments</th>-->
             <th id="bandY" class="col3">Bands @263mm Y</th><th id="bandM" class="col3">Bands @263mm M</th><th id="bandC" class="col3">Bands

             </tr>
            </thead>
            <tbody>
                <tr name="MCBands" id="9214">
                    <!--<td><input name="Yevaluation" ></td>  //Row 0 Column 1-->
                    <!--<td><input name="Mevaluation" ></td>  //Row 0 Column 2-->
                    <!--<td><input name="Cevaluation" ></td>  //Row 0 Column 3-->
                    <!--<td><input name="Kevaluation" ></td>  //Row 0 Column 4-->
                    <!--<td><input name="comment" ></td>  //Row 0 Column 4-->
                    <td><input name="bandY" ></td>  <!--//Row 0 Column 1-->
                    <td><input name="bandM" ></td> <!-- //Row 0 Column 2-->
                    <td><input name="bandC" ></td> <!-- //Row 0 Column 3-->
                    <td><input name="bandK" ></td><!--  //Row 0 Column 4-->
                    <td><input name="comment" ></td>
                </tr>
            </tbody>
        </table>
          <input id="submit" type="submit" class="list" name="submit" value="Submit To Database" >
           <!--maybe move all php part to other file-->
           </form>
        </body>
    The server is mapped so when we run it off of the server, we use the server ip address and my file name and skip the rest of the path, which works fine with the table.php file, so that mapping appears correct.  When I run it off of the server (from my
    desk) and hit submit it gives me a 404 file or directory not found.  When I run it locally on the server, it's saying it can't find the file name, but it says the requested url is `http://localhost:80/errorpages/403_error.html.`  Physical path: E:\vise\jqproject\web\errorpages\403_error.html.
    The error message says the notification is from the MapRequestHandler of Module IIS Web Core. I'm not sure why the requested url/path isn't referring to visEupload.php.
    (Running on the server) When I change the action in the table.php get to include the IP address, it's behaving weirdly:
    Module IIS Web Core Notification MapRequestHandler Handler PHP53_via_FastCGI, Requested URL `
        http://localhost:80/13.141.xxx.xx/visEupload.php?bandy=xx&bandM=xx&bandc=hj&bandk=xx&comment=xx&submit=submit+to+database
    physical path shows as E:\visE\jqproject\web\13.141.xxx.xx\visEupload.php
    Login Method and user Anonymous.
    When I change the url to just be
        localhost/viseUpload.php
    it's getting HTTP Error 404 not found.  Any ideas why it's not finding the visEupload.php file?  It has the correct .php extension.  In file properties it's a type php file with name visEupload.php.
    I took a look at
    [404 error][1] but I see my "allowUnlisted="true" in applicationHost.config. I'm not using sitefinity, though.
    I'm not sure if something got over-written when we did a server windows update.
    I know we were having a problem with get and post a couple months ago and we had to add them to the IIS Manager Handler Mappings somewhere, but don't remember where we added them to check.  Since I tried directly accessing the visEupload.php without any
    get (and commented out get code in the file) it should have worked if that was the issue.
    We are running server 2008 R2 and I'm not sure which version of IIS it is.
    In case it matters, this is the contents of the visEupload.php:
        <!DOCTYPE html>
        <html lang="en" >
        <head>
        <meta charset="utf-8" />
            <title>Big Table</title>
        </head>
        <body>
        <?php
            require_once( "../classes/class.OLAPdatabase.php");
            require_once( "../common/Session.php");
            $OLAPdb = new OLAPdatabase;
              handling of the get part is commented out
           ?>
        </body>
    All I can think of is that when I access visEupload.php it's running from the get/action in table.php.  This might be a different user running in the system.  I tried changing visEupload.php file properties to have full control for IUSR and Internet
    Guest Account.  It already has full control for System, and me.  Users have read & exeture and read permissions. Or maybe it's something that has to do with how the directory is mapped out.  I'm not sure what could be affecting this, and
    why the message said it can't find the path to 403_error.html.

  • Creative drivers and CPU spikes

    Hi. I have a few (probably Creative-related) issues that bother me, but hopefully solving one will make the other go away. If not, I'll post it in a separate thread.
    Back to the issue. I am using Windows XP. Most of the times, my CPU gets clogged a little by the System process, which takes up to ~10% CPU usage. I carried out a little investigation and it turned out the Creative drivers are responsible for it. It's worth pointing out that I'm no computer scientist, I just followed a simple tutorial ( link here: http://blogs.technet.com/b/markrussi...7/3031251.aspx ). According to Kernrate, XENFilt.sys driver has slightly more hits that the other ... entries ... Again, I'm not familiar with these professional terms. I've found out this driver was produced by Creative, so after updating the drivers and software to the recent version, here I am - asking for a little help.
    Year ago I purchased the Tactic 3D Alpha headphone set with the drivers, some software and USB device, which I connect my headphones to. When those spikes are persistent ( and unfortunately, they are ), I just unplug this USB device and plug it in right afterwards. The System process calms down and the problem is gone for like, 20 minutes? This period of time varies a lot.
    Thank you for your help
    Sincerely, Thomas

    Since you are using Rhapsody To Go then you need to have the PlaysForSure firmware on the player. The PlaysForSure firmware changes the player so that it doesn't use the Creative Drivers to recognize itself on the computer, but rather a Microsoft supplied driver which is included in Windows Media Player 0.
    Using the Creative Driver, you would have to install it on every computer you plan to take your Micro to. However the PFS firmware only allows you to use Windows XP systems running WMP0. Whereas with the Creative Driver you get Windows XP/2000/98/Me, and even Mac and Linux support with the appropriate software installed on those computers.
    But since you want to use Rhapsody To Go then you need to install the PlaysForSure firmware in order to transfer those songs to the player.

  • Intensive slider control use may lead to LabVIEW hang and system instability when coupled to event loop "Value Change"

     Occasionally, over the past year or two, I have noticed on different machines and versions of LabVIEW (8.0 and 8.5) that intensive operation of the LabVIEW slider control (holding down the left mouse button and shaking the mouse quickly back and forth to move the slider for several seconds) may cause LabVIEW to hang with high CPU usage (50% on my current test machine, which has a Pentium IV "hyperthreaded" processor, so 50% is the max that a single thread can take up). In some instances, after the LabVIEW process is forced to quit, the system itself becomes unstable (more high CPU usage) or hangs, up to and including the need for a hard restart. I have seen this behavior both when handling slider change events the "old fashioned" way with a while loop and a case structure; and also when using a while loop with an event structure handling the "Value Change" event for the slider.
    Attached is an .rtf file dump of the front panel and block diagram of a simple test VI that replicates this problem in my hands (using an event structure). The loop count runs to at least several hundred iterations before the crash occurs.
    At least for the "old fashioned" loop handling method, adding a forced wait of a few dozen msec per loop didn't seem to be a workaround. I haven't tried this idea with the event structure, but don't expect joy to follow. The possibility of a system hang discourages aggressive experimentation.
    Is this a known issue? Can anyone else replicate it (carefully)? In any case, I'd welcome other suggestions for workarounds.
    Thanks,
    Darin Nelson

    Hang Slider.rtf ‏683 KB

    Thanks for all your responses, and especially to those who are waggling their mice around trying to reproduce this. I'll respond to (most aspects of) the last several posts in one message.
    LabViewGuruWannabe:
      I'll see if I can get the original code to post in a separate message, I posted the .rtf originally because I thought there might be filtering on forum posts (I'm sort of new here). But I doubt you re-created it wrong.
      The "more modern" test hardware was an Intel Core2 , 2.4 GHz, 2Gb RAM, on an Intel 965 family motherboard. As I said, it took me two tries to trigger the error on this hardware; in the case where it triggered, I was at almost 12000 iterations before things went south. 10000 iterations, therefore, might not be enough--or you might never get it, for all I know. My Pentium 4 Hyperthreaded machine (3.2 GHz, 2 Gb RAM) triggers the hang much more easily (always within 2500 iterations, usually within 1000), so there seems to be some hardware dependence here. Maybe the workaround is just to use hardware recent enough that no one not under the influence of strange compulsions will accidentally trigger the hang.
    TonP:
      After reading your suggestion, I tried something even more radical  -- getting rid of the handling code altogether. I took the slider node out of the while loop, and removed all code inside the "Slide" case of the event structure.
     On my Pentium 4 machine, the hang triggered after 677 iterations.

     Huh, I never even noticed that checkbox existed. Anyway, yes, I
    kept the default to lock out the front panel while the event process. If I
    disable it… I still get the hang.

  • MacBook Pro System CPU Spikes When Unplugged

    Upgraded to Mavericks a few days ago and,whenever I unplug my MacBook Pro 13" (Early 2011 - 2.3GHz Intel Core i5 - 16GB RAM 1333MHz) and run just on the battery, my system CPU usage goes through the roof which results in my Mac running/responding very slowly and buggy.
    However, looking at the iStat widget on my dashboard, it's reporting that my CPU isn't running hot nor does my MacBook Pro feel hot at all. It's also showing that I still have 10GB of RAM free.
    As expected, once my magsafe is reattached to my laptop and plugged back in, the system CPU returns to a normal level. In Activity Monitor, it shows kernel_task as being the culprit.
    I queried the log as suggested by Linc and TextEdit had something for me:
    Dec 10 15:51:31 My-MBP kernel[0] <Debug>: Process Setup Assistant [307] disabling system-wide I/O Throttling
    Anyone have any idea what this could be? Seems like it should be a simple software config but I just don't know.
    Additionally, I also ran EtreCheck. These are the results when it's running unplugged:

    Does anyone have any ideas on why this is happening or are experiencing anything similar? I can't for the life of me figure out if it's a Mavericks issue or if it's a hardware issue.  Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks!

    You're not going to believe this but I just now found a working solution!!!
    Thanks to the talents of a man named, Rhys Oxenhams, and his flawless tutorial, eveything's running normally now!
    BEFORE READING ON...make sure you backup all of you data!  I take no responsibility for anything bad that happens to your machine.  I'm providing this information because it worked for me. There's no guarantee it will work on your system.  TAKE ALL NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS BEFORE READING ON and BACKUP YOUR DATA IMMEDIATELY.
    Here's what you need to do:
    1. In the Finder menu bar, click on Go and select Computer. 2. In the window that comes up, double-click your computer's HD. For me, it's Macintosh HD. 3. From there, click on System > Library > Extensions. 4. Now look for a file called IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext. 5. Right-click on IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext and choose Show Package Contents. 6. In that new window that comes up, click on Contents > Plugins and locate ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin.kext. 7. Just like in step 5, right-click on ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin.kext and choose Show Package Contents. 8. Just like in step 6, in that new window that comes up, click on Contents > Resources and locate your Model Identifer.
         • In case you don't know what your Model ID is, click on the  in the top left of the screen and choose About This Mac     • In the window that comes up, click on More Info...     • In the next window that comes up, click on System Report     • In the very first screen, towards the top, locate the entry Model Identifier          - Write this info down on a piece of paper. You will need it. In my case, I wrote down MacBookPro8,1 9. Back in the Resources folder, locate the .plist file that has your model identifier. In my case, it was MacBookPro8,1.plist 10. You're not going to delete that file but instead move it to a differnt folder inside your home folder--doesn't matter which folder, just put it somewhere inside your home folder. 11. Restart your machine and you are good to go!
    Let me know how it turns out for you.  REMINDER: Backup your data before doing this!
