Garchdeps - Show graphical dependencies of the archlinux packages

Hello,
i have begin a new project, this project actually show the tree of a package or show sorted packages who use most data.
The name of this project is garchdeps
The package is available in https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/garchdeps-git or https://github.com/badele/garchdeps
Sample result

  • Broken dependencie for the kde packages

    Hello World !
First sorry for my poor english and probably because i'm not posting in the right section.
On a fresh installed Archlinux system, i decided to install kde desktop with this : pacman -S kde but a the end of the loading, kde didn't start and the loading screen stayed forever.
The problem was fixed by installing ttf-dejavu package so i wanted to say to the Archlinux kde package maintener that he should add this package as a kde dependencie.

    Hello.
    Nothing is broken:
    ArchWiki reads:
Note: You need to install a ttf-* package. phonon-vlc already requires ttf-freefont, but when using phonon-gstreamer you should add ttf-dejavu or another too. For more information see FS#26012.

  • Getting php + apc to work with the arch-package

    Hi,
I am trying to get APC to work with PHP. And I am wondering if it is really working.
I have installed the archlinux APC and PHP.
Then I uncommented /etc/php/conf.d/apc.ini in so:
    extension=apc.so
    When i run php_info():
there is actually a new section for APC:
    APC Support     enabled
    Version     3.0.19
    MMAP Support     Enabled
    MMAP File Mask     no value
    Locking type     pthread mutex Locks
    Revision     $Revision: 3.154.2.5 $
    Build Date     May 15 2008 19:49:30
    but,
    when i do: php-cgi -v
    PHP 5.2.9 with Suhosin-Patch 0.9.7 (cgi-fcgi) (built: Mar 25 2009 14:59:15)
Copyright (c) 1997-2009 The PHP Group
Zend Engine v2.2.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2009 Zend Technologies
shouldn't it print something at the bottom saying something like "with APC ...."
my other consern is if php actually needs to be compiled with support for APC and that is not the case with the php that comes with the
archlinux package? If I do: php-config
I can not see anything about APC.
If I try to benchmark with and without extension=apc.so I don't see any improvements, actually it is some percent slower with apc commented in.

Ok, I think it is working.
The problem was testing with a too small a php-script. The bigger a php-script the more potential for speedup from apc.
    Sorry for the confusion.

  • The following packages were added to your selection to satisfy dependencies

I'm going to install Oracle R12 and a few other things. I've applied all the required linux packages by hand previously and wanted to try the ULN to use the oracle validate package. I bought a network subscriiption, registered my server after installing OEL 5.5. It's a Dell R410.
Using the oracle_validate package does not apply all the dependent packages. What am I missing or doing wrong? I get the message I am missing dependencies no matter what I do. I thought that was the entire point of the packge to not have to apply all these packages by hand.

I think your signature is either too sarcastic, or too much in contrast with what you are posting here. A damaged database is really no big deal, and the only things that the proposed solutions attempt to do is that pacman re-installs a package (which changes close to nothing in your actual installation) and then write that update to its database.
I do not agree with your statement that the probability of a required reinstall are high. Actually, I would say they are pretty low
There is nothing sarcastic about my sig. Indeed, what would be the fun of using a system, which never breaks?
Regarding the probability of a reinstall either my opinion, or yours is irrelevant for the topic of this discussion.

  • Why the "Change Package" in Transport Connection shows "Request/Tasks"?

We want to transport our custom InfoCubes from Developement environment to Test environment:
RSA1 -> Transport Connection, select an InfoCube we created and drag it over to the right frame, group it by "In Dataflow Before and Afterwards". The Package column shows it's attached to $TMP that we would have to change it to a custom package that it can be transported over. We click the Package picture icon with a pencil trying to change the package attached from $TMP to a custom one, but can't find any custom package we created with SE80 from here and instead, in this window, the first column is "Request/Task" and the values under this column are all checkboxes. The last column is "Object Name". I wonder if the "Change Package" picture icon only lists all the request/task for the selected transport objects selected other than the packages we expect? Weird!
    Thanks

    hi Kevin,
the 'normal' way has been explained by Roberto and Siggi.
if you still want change package screen in transport connection, it will go to package change/object directory entry screen after you mark the 'request/task' and click 'V'

Hi, I've reset my 2nd generation ipod touch. However, the connect to itunes graphic appears on the screen but when I attach to my powerbook it doesn't show up either in itunes or finder. I can't be the first to have experienced this problem. please could someone advise me.

What iOS do you have on the iPod?
Did it every connect to your computer with that iOS?
The latest iOD for the 2G is 4.2.1 and that required a Mac with 10.5.8 or later.
    Have you tried:
    - another USB port and cable
    - iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Device not recognized in iTunes for Mac OS X

  • When i try to update it shows, "the path blah blah blah cannot be found. verify you have access to this location and try again, or try to find the reinstall package "itunes.msi"...?

"The path cannot be found. Verify that you have access to this location and try again, or try to find the installation package "itunes.msi" in a folder from which you can install the product itunes." this is all I see whe i tried to update or uninstall itunes. Why?

  • ASA 5505 Failed to unzip the Anyconenct Package

    There is ASA 5505:
    - 8.4(2) IOS
    - FLASH: 128 Mb
    - DRAM: 256 Mb
    Requirements for 8.4(2) are acomplished:
For the ASA 5505, only the Unlimited Hosts license and the Security Plus license with failover enabled require 512 MB; other licenses can use 256 MB.
Are installed latest AnyConnect packeges for linux, some smatphones (each 4-5 MB). But for Windoes it's 21 MB and we got error "Failed to unzip the Anyconenct Package". In prior IOS version there was command cache-fs limit, by default it was 20 Mb. As i understand ASA now dinamically determines amount of cache memory and it's not enough.
Because of the increased size of the AnyConnect package from 4MB in AnyConnect 2.5 to 21 MB in AnyConnect 3.0, you may need to upgrade the ASA flash and memory card first.
If your ASA has only the default internal flash memory size or the default DRAM size (for cache memory) you could have problems storing and loading multiple AnyConnect client packages on the ASA. Even if you have enough space on the flash to hold the package files, the ASA could run out of cache memory when it unzips and loads the client images.
So there is a question, after DRAM upgrade to 512 MB will be there enough cache memory for Anyconnect packeges with total size 35-40 Mb?

I have having the same issue on an ASA-5510 with 256MB DRAM 256MB Flash.  I do not have this issue on an ASA-5550 with 4GB DRAM 256MB Flash, so I'm guessing the issue is with the memory size.
    Also, from:  http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/vpn_client/anyconnect/anyconnect30/release/notes/anyconnect30rn.html
Flash and DRAM Requirements for Upgrade
Check for the space available before proceeding with the AnyConnect 3.0 upgrade. You can use one of the following methods to do so:
    •CLI—Enter the show memory command.
    asa3# show memory
    Free memory:       304701712 bytes (57%)
    Used memory:       232169200 bytes (43%)
    Total memory:      536870912 bytes (100%)
•ASDM—Choose Tools > File Management. The File Management window displays flash space.
Because of the increased size of the AnyConnect package from 4MB in AnyConnect 2.5 to 21 MB in AnyConnect 3.0, you may need to upgrade the ASA flash and memory card first.
Caution The minimum flash memory required is 128MB for an ASA 5505; however, we strongly recommend 256 or preferably 512 MB. To support multiple endpoint operating systems and enable logging and debugging on the ASA, you will most likely need 512 MB of flash memory.
For internal memory requirements for each ASA model, see Memory Requirements for the Cisco ASA Adaptive Security Appliances Software Version 8.3 and Later. For additional information about the ASA memory requirements and upgrading ASA memory, see the latest release notes for the Cisco ASA 5500 series.

  • Solaris 11 IPS:  How do you post multiple versions of the same package?

How do you post multiple versions of the same software package on a single IPS instance(port)? Oracle was able to do it here with versions 151 and 175 of S11:
    http://pkg.oracle.com/solaris/release/
Unfortunately, based on my searches, no where in the documentation (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/server-storage/solaris11/technologies/ips-323421.html) does it explain to the development community how this is done. The best I can do is create pkg repo instances on different ports to host each different software version.
We are trying to deploy an IPS repository for our drivers and utilities that our customers can link to and pull updates from. We have been able to post a software package to the repository using the command:
    pkgsend publish -s http://localhost:1234 -d ./ Appv1.p5m
This posts the package on the IPS repository instance at port 1234 on the server. However, we would like to post multiple versions of the package on the server at the same URL. Why the same URL? So that our customers and end-users need only point to a single URL to pull down our software rather than having to add a new URL to the publisher list each time we have an update. We want at least 5 of the previous software versions to be available on the server. Posting each version of the application or driver on a different IPS instance on a different port will require customers to add multiple URLs to their publisher list and they also will not be able to initiate remote scans for updates.
Has anybody been able to do this? Is any documentation forthcoming?
    Edited by: user13489824 on Jun 25, 2012 10:17 AM

dhduvall: Thanks for your response. Yes, one would think that as long as the version numbers are different, you should be able to accumulate multiple versions of a package in a repository. It looks like Oracle has done it in their S11 repository unfortunately, as far as I know, they have not shared the steps on how to do this. I would like to publish two versions of the same package. I.E. two different manifests with two different fmri.pkg version strings and two different binaries.
If I publish one package after another like this:
    pkgsend publish -s http://localhost:1234 Appv1.p5m
    pkgsend publish -s http://localhost:1234 Appv2.p5m
Then only the second package shows up in the repository, as if it over-wrote the first one.
Running pkgsend with two manifest, like this:
    pkgsend publish -s http://localhost:1234 Appv1.p5m Appv2.p5m
Will cause pkgsend to combine the packages and manifests as if they were a single package... not what I am trying to do.
Both approaches are complete without errors but neither achieves what I am trying to do.
alan.pae: Thank you. Unfortunately, the link didn't really help. I've read Oracle's white papers and IPS developer guide so I'm familiar with the topics covered.
Lex: Yes, I know. I specified the versions in the pkg.fmri value string.

  • Errors with Time Machine (not completing backup, and needing to erase the ".inProgress" package)

I have in a previous discussion been talking about errors with my Time Machine backup.  The errors were with a problem with Indexing a file, it fails and stops the whole backup.  Each time it attemps another backup, it fills my ".inProgress" package with a (nearly) whole backup, filling my Time Machine hard drive, and thus errasing my previous good backups.  The error occurs after about 95% completion.
In my last post of a similar disscussion, the problem was indexing the Preference Pane files and this caused the whole backup to fail.  This was my last post there:  (below in some additional info of my situation)

This time it was the Mouse.prefPane that caused the error.  I'd like to exclude the entire PreferencePanes directory.
This was my error message this time:
I just realized this was on my small Developers partition.  Perhaps there is an error with the build, OR an error with the initial restore.  I'd like to perhaps exclude the entire /Volumes/Mac OS Lion GM.  I expect that Time Machine is working fine with my main partition and the error happens when it's almost done with the Mac OS Lion GM partition.
The problem now is that I only have 265 GB of 3 TB available on my Time Machine HDD.  If attempt another backup, it'll surely erase about 410 GB of my past saved backups.  I've already lost 6 months, and I only have two months left of backups.  I need to erase the ".inProgress" package again.  That'll take time, and it's impossible to do from this main partition, even at root access.  This ".inProgress" has a total of two (nearly) full backups; it didn't cleanup the first full backup attempt while starting the second, perhaps it would have had it finished.  But I fear even if I exclude the whole "Mac OS Lion GM" partition,  It'll create a third full backup before cleanup and erase ~400 GB of previous good backups.  Then, I'll have a total of 4 (nearly) full backups!  3 TB is just enough without any past backups.
Maybe I'll just copy my documentations of my 'errasing the ".inProgress" package'  last time (from the Mac OS Lion GM partition) and do a full restore of just that partition.  Thus erasing the errors all together.  If it doesn't fix the errors then this could be a bug in the build that doesn't allow Time Machine to work.  I've always included this partition in Time Machine before, even with other Lion builds, so I suspect that it was an error in the initial restore.  (I may be answering my own questions, and that the inital restore (of the small partition) is the problem, and I just need to re-restore the small partition)
Again, I'm going to have to erase the ".inProgress" file to regain 1.53 TB of space before proceeding.
Also, I gave myself permission to read the ".Backup.345781513.887697.log", the log that was created last night when I first started Time Machine this last time.  It was interesting, but didn't show the error I could see from the console.
Right now, mds and mdworker appear to be going crazy even after I just now turned off Time Machine.  I think I'll let it go for the rest of the night.  Then I'll work on erasing the ".inProgress" package from the other partition boot up.
That was my entire last post.  To add some information, I have two OS X partitons, both Mac OS X Lion.  One is my large main partition, the other is one I don't mind testing with.  I recently replaced my internal hard drive in my iMac and restored from Time Machine both partitions.  This appeared to go smoothly.  But I have yet to create a single successful Time Machine backup since.  At first it was doing a Full Backup, which I didn't like, but now it just aborts around 95% completion.  Each, time, it tries it fills the Time Machine hard drive with duplicate (nearly) full backups errasing my older good backups.  I would like to erase the ".inProgress" file to save space.
My main question in this new discussion is does anyone know of a good way of erasing the ".inProgress" file? This is so I can preseerve my previous backups.  ACLs and other permissions seem to make it impossible to erase from this startup partition, the one I'm running Time Machine from.  Even at root level, if I give myself permission to change permissions or delete a file, it'll say Operation not Permitted instead of Permission Denied.  I have been able to delete this ".inProgress" package before when booting from the other  partition, but with great difficulty.  I have had much help from another Member in this Support Community when it comes to solving my Time Machine problems.  I think I have found the problem (indexing files in my small OS X partition), as stated in my copy& pasted post above, but I really need to delete this inProgress package first to save space before continuing!

Now I'll have to fix the small partition?  How's the best way to do this?  There could be thousands of files that won't index fine.
See if there's anything you haven't done, that applies, in the pink box of #C3 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting
Otherwise, since most (or all?) of the indexing errors are in OSX, you might want to just reinstall it.  Something may have gone wrong sometime, that damaged those files.
I reviewed #C3 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting and I have already done most of those things.  I have just learned something new though:
When I included my Main OS X partition again, I got an indexing error for the first time for that partition.  I might be interesting to note that the _spotlight process was running, and it's running again (the magnifying glass has a dot and it generically says "Indexing Tom's iMac").  mdworker, mds and backupd processes really are working hard, one moment they used over 500% of my CPU.  It's nice to know for once quad core is good for something other than video encoding.  (Now if they could just get the Finder to do more than 100.1%, only 1 thread is doing 100%, I'd like to see file size calculations 8 times quicker!)
I never got an indexing error once in the past 2 weeks for that large Mac OS X v10.7.2 main volume, and it had appeared to finish that partition backup before running into problems with my smaller test partition.  Also, I had just updated the smaller test partition with a later build of Mac OS X.  But It appears that the beta builds are clearly not the problem.  I thought I could just restore again (from the December 4th backup) the small partition and both would be fine.
I'll finish reviewing all the suggestions on Time Machine - Troubleshooting and go from there.  Hopefully, the _spotlight indexing simutaniously was the only problem.  It's strange that the indexing hasn't happened since the original restore last week untill I finally got a good clean complete partial Time Machine backup.  Why would the first Time Machine backup trigger indexing again?
For now, I'm going to exclude the Main Partition again, and let another good backup run.  And try your suggestions.  (And wait till mds, mdworker, etc. to finish!)
I have the logs of the first two sucsessful backups and the last two failed backups from the last 3 hours, if that would help.?

    Hi All,
I am facing the problem while deploying the Bussiness package. The same bussiness package has been deployed on EP 7.0 using SDM. In CE 7.1 while deploying the package we are getting error. Please check the log.
    -- Deployment Items -

Description:'1. [ERROR CODE DPL.DS.6193] Error while ; nested exception is:
com.sap.engine.services.deploy.exceptions.ServerDeploymentException: [ERROR CODE DPL.DS.5082] Exception while validating application sap.com/tc~sl.ut.content.erp.bp_erp.
No one of the [developmentserver, com.sap.security.login-modules] containers, which processed it, returned deployed component names.
The registered containers in this moment were [CTCContainer, com.sap.security.ume, developmentserver, com.sap.security.login-modules, app_libraries_container, Cache Configuration Upload, servlet_jsp, dbcontentcontainer, connector, Cluster File System, JMSConnector, MigrationContainer, Monitoring Configurator, dbschemacontainer, appclient, orpersistence, PortalRuntimeContainer, SAP-EU-GP, JDBCConnector, EJBContainer, metamodelrepository, webservices_container, scheduler~container, ConfigurationsContainer, Content Container].
    Possible reasons :
1.An AS Java service, which is providing a container, is stopped or not deployed.
2.The containers, which processed it, are not implemented correct. They deployed or started initially the application, but didn't return deployed components in the application deployment info.'.
I have checked all the services in NWA, they are all running fine but one of the service is not available com.sap.security.login-modules and also in the log file it is saying that nested exeception.
I am Basis consultant i couldnt able to get what is nested exception.
    How to undeploy the packages?
In CE there is no SDM is there any alternative tool to undeploy and deploy the Packages like SDM other JSPM.
    Please guide on this.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi,
You can undeploy using the IDE itself.
    1. Go to Deploy perspective (Window>open perpective>other-->Deploy)
    2. There u can select Deploy view or undeploy view.
