WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE ,I MEAN WHY DO WE HAVE SO WE HAVE DECIDE BETWEEN ONE OF THIS .

I'm facing an unicode issue while trying to put some data into a MS database.
The sender system is a SAP ERP 6.0 system.
When we are trying to transfer some text in polish or korean or something else, this textes are not transferred correctly.
I already checked the SAP Note 831162 FAQ: XI 3.0 / PI 7.0 / PI 7.1 JDBC Adapter
and used the url parameter sendStringParametersAsUnicode=true
Furthermore I changed my mapping to get the sql statements, so that I add the attribute hasQuot="no"
and a leading N in front of the data string as described in the Note and in some threads in SDN

but nothing solved my problem.
any ideas?
Do all the languages have to be installed on the XI system?

If I get you wright I have to test the mapping using the test functionality in message mapping (test tab).

When output this variable via system.ou.print(text); the same issue occurs, the special characters are shown as ?.

General Error Issue: FCP 7 on my Mac Book Pro 10.6.8 2.53 GHZ 4GB

I'm working on a lengthy project, multiple timelines. Out of nowhere I started getting a "General Error" message on playback in a specific area of the timeline. I trash preferences, trash render preferences (making the timeline now red), and now the "General Error" pops up everywhere on the timeline on playback and render.
After trying everything I could think of:
1. resetting scratch disks
2. trashing preferences
3. trashing render preferences
4. repairing hard drives
5. Converting to earlier saved versions of the project.
6. Re installing FCP
7. Finally, I tried creating a new project and dropping the original media in and recutting (matching timecode) and even this popped up the general error.
I'm cutting converted RED one footage and 16mm footage converted to quicktime files. I am only using about 1/2 of the harddrive space on my comp, and the scratch disks are currently set to a 2TB external G Drive with 500GB left.
This project has existed for over 9months that I've been tinkering with it and all of a sudden this issue appears. I find it strange.
I wasn't super organized in setting up the project (my first large film and first film ever on fcp), and the scratch disks have moved around a lot, etc. But, I've never moved the original clips, and it doesn't seem to be an issue of relinking the clips either. They don't seem to be offline at all.
The format of is super wide 2240 x 960 on the red footage and super square for the 16mm footage (I think 4x3)
Let me know if you have ANY thoughts/ideas/help or if you need additional info.

Windows 8.1 Pro Non-Unicode Issue: CS6 Standard

I use WIndows 8.1 Pro English, I installed the CS6 Standard in Spanish, I changed the language for the non-unicode programs to spanish but still cannot use the Illustrator, I am having issue only with the Illustrator, noting that in the installation I was prompt for Spanish(Latin America) or Just Spanish, I clicked on Spanish(Latin America), but in the non-Unicode languages there is no Spanish(non-Unicode) they have Spanish per countries.

Java JCo SAP XI RFC SAP R/3 6.C ... Unicode issue

Hello,
My scenario is very simple. I'd like to connect a Java program to a SAP R/3 (MDMP) for RFC calls (in both direction), using SAP XI (some of the RFC calls will redirected to some other systems). I use SAP JCo v2.1.8 and tried with Java 1.4.2_09 and Java 6.0.
It works well when the Java program is calling a function module, but when SAP R/3 is doing it, the returned texts looks like: S#A#P# #J#C#o# #v#2#.#1#.#8# #(#2#0#0#6#-#1#2#-#1#1#)# (the text should be SAP JCo v2.1.8).
It looks like an issue with Unicode. Although I didn't check the Unicode checkbox in the RFC sender adapter (the RFC receiver one doesn't offer the possibility to specify unicode or not).
Do anyone have a solution ? Is it a code in the Java program or something to set in SAP XI / SAP R/3 ?

This is a workaround solution. In the case of this prototype it is ok, but the final plan is to migrate a web based application. It was directly connected to one SAP R/3, but now we would like to connect it to SAP XI because a few RFC calls will be re-directed to some other systems, but the majority of them will we'll still be sent to the SAP R/3. We don't want to make development on this part for cost reason (and time). Plus on some text there are the "#" character that is legitimate.

JCo - Unicode issue

Recently, we migrated SAP to unicode version. Due to this, we are getting the below error when we try to connect from SapJCo to SAP. The version of JCo used is 2.1.6. SAP is hosted on Unix and Java applications are hosted on Windows. We tried with jco.client.codepage= 4103; we are getting different error(RFC_ERROR_LOGON_FAILURE: >> unknown RFC error, no error log found <<) when we give the codepage property.
Please let us know how to resolve the below issue:

This got resolved.
We had to make changes to the XML which is embedded in the java code of R3Connector classes. Changed the encoding type and data types in the XML. It went through.

Help: Unicode issue in Snow Leopard not in Leopard?

I've finally switched from Leopard to Snow Leopard.
I'm loving the improvements.
But, I do have one issue.
I like to keep things tidy and orderly on my computer.
In Leopard I had been using a number of characters from the Unicode Miscellaneous Symbols and Pictorgraphs block (U+1F300-1F3FF) in the names of my folders and files, to make them easy to organise and quickly identify (a book for books, a family for family, a plane for travel, etc).
Under Leopard, this system worked very well.
Under Snow Leopard, it's not working at all. Even though I've placed the correct font in the System folder (Symbola).
Is there something I can do to fix the problem?
Why did it work under Leopard and not work under Snow Leopard?
I'm including a screenshot of the problem in just one folder on my computer.
But the problem is everywhere.
Incidentally, the airplane is actually from a different Unicode block (well within the BMP).

Unicode Issue - Corrupted long texts in Plant Maintenance Work Orders

we're having an issue regarding corrupted texts in a Unicode system. here's the scenario:
- long text came from 4.5b wherein, of course, the japanese characters are viewable either in EN or JA logon
- now, this long text when viewed in our acceptance/testing system which is already, take note, already in unicode long text is garbled. both in EN and JA logon long texts are garbled. we are expecting that since the system is already in unicode it can now support code page for japanese.
(here's the tricky part -- the one seen in the field is properly displayed but when trying to view the complete long text, those that are not in the field are garbled.)
- we also have some scenarios that came from 4.5b, when viewed in the testing system while not unicoded - it's garbled in EN. this is normal since it's still non-unicoded. and of course when viewed using JA logon it's not corrupted anymore. we're expecting that this will also be the same with the issue above. but it's not.

i know it's weird.
but then i talked to a friend, she's an abaper. she said that those that can be converted or properly viewed are texts elements in database tables and those that are like free texts or comments can not. and there's no possible way for this but to manually retype everything.
makes sense right.

General Performance Issue

In the last few days I've noticed a general degradation in the on-line performance of my iMac. For example, when I select a mail message that is heavy on graphics (like a Home Depot flyer or something) the text displays and then after four or five seconds the graphics are painted. Until recently, the actions would have been simultaneous and immediate. Also, I've noticed that web sites (the first page) are taking three or four seconds to load. I have cable and I don't believe my connection is an issue on this. In the old days (prior to my born-again in the Mac world birth) I would have done some tinkering with my PC but I'm not sure where to start on my iMac. Thanks.

Sometimes the web browser cache files can get corrupted, or the hard drive gets slow reading the cache. Try emptying the cache using the function of the browser itself.
As for e-mail, it is strongly advisable you do not load HTML e-mail with e-mail programs, but instead turn off all HTML rendering in e-mail, save such messages to the desktop, and reopen with your web browser. HTML e-mail is not fully supported on any e-mail client:

Flex Mobile Unicode issue

I am building an application for android using flash builder 4.6. I am trying to display unicode character as in this xml "http://www.bbc.co.uk/hindi/index.xml" Characters are displayed correctly when run on simulator in flash builder but when installed on android, it displays square boxes [][][][][][][][][]. How can i go about resolving this issue so that font embeds correctly *

General Downloading issues

Is it just me, or does the Oracle download, and web site in general, not seem to want to work correctly?
I have been trying to download JDeveloper 10g for the last two days now and keep getting 404 errors. After looking through this forum for a few minutes, i see i am not the only one with these issues. I have also seen Oracle's database at work in an application my school uses with many problems, such as freaking out if you click the Back button. If Oracle can not even get its own software to work correctly on its own site, why will anyone else want to use it? Call me crazy, but that does not seem like good advertising.
On a more constructive note, i would suggest finding out why links do not work for so many downloads and get them fixed.

General authentication issues

I have a general issue with authenticating usernames and passwords. starting with remote desktop connection to my win 8 laptop 6 days a go i was able to connect to it from the internet with no problems, now for some reason i can't connect to it i can see the window asking for a log in info so it can see the computer but it doesn't accept my log in info, i also have win 2008 server computer on the same LAN and i can connect to it from the outside.
same thing with my FTP service i can connect to my FTP from the internet using IE but when it asks for username and password it doesn't accept them.
SAME PROBLEM WITH VPN i used to e able to connect to my LAN from the outside internet and now while it's verifying username and password for VPN it doesn't accept them.
Iam basically looking at an authentication issue not a connection because i see that i can connect to these services until authentication level then authentication doesn't work.
Any Ideas?

Normally I would use FLAC for quality but since Itunes doesn't support it I use mp3. Good albums I do both. Is there a plugin so I don't need 2 copies of my music?
You can try the Xiph plugins to play your FLAC files. Some people have reported success while others have had problems, but it would be worth trying.
When I drag the music in to the play list Itunes takes between 5-10 minutes to add the songs and do its gap less playback check, etc.. Itunes is hung the entire time and does not respond. Is this normal?
How many tracks do you have in your library? If it's really large (many thousands of tracks), the delay may be normal.
it says it's getting the artwork but it only gets the art work may be 1 out 20 albums I import. Is there a way to select the art work manually?
If you search the web for "iTunes album art" you'll find a lot of methods for getting album artwork into iTunes.

General Reporting Issue

Dear Experts,
i need your advises for an issue regarding a reporting idea, i am working in Telecom company and as you know, there is alot of reports requested daily from END users, some of these reports can be moved to discoverer to let the users generate them from their side through discoverer viewer, but there are many reports still generated from my side directly from the back end (database) because they are customized for specific data sent by the end users.
for example, some users send me a list of customers numbers and they need some information for them, so i used to load them to a temp table and join it with the query to get the needed data.
i want to ask is there a way to enable the end users to get this report from their side without returning to me, that is is there any tool that let the users load some data into temp table and generate the report for that data only?
please i need ideas?

you have to build the table prior to running it !!!
insert your logic in the V_SQL variable.
if you wish to use GTT then you do not need the truncate statement...After compiling it try to run it and see if you get data, run the following:

then select from the table to verify it is populated:

now you should register it to the discoverere administrator, after log in go to the toolbar: "tools->register PL/SQL functions"
enter the needed data (use upper case),
validate it.
then create a worksheet using Plus or Desktop, do not select any folder or any item.
create a new calculation, use the function you have just registered.
run the report and see the output, if you get OK then you can create a new worksheet that will select from your table.
Of course you need to add the table to the BA so that you will be able to use it for a report.

How can I convert HEX value to CHAR value.
The Code in non Unicode system is:
DATA: t_text LIKE tline OCCURS 0 WITH HEADER LINE.
constants: c_hex_20a5(2) TYPE x VALUE '20A5'.
t_text-tdline = 'seller of the item so listed. A legend of the Seller Code(s) is as'.
 TRANSLATE t_text-tdline USING c_hex_20a5.
The same code give error in Uni-Code system:
error is "c_hex_20a5 must be an character type object (C, N, D, T or String type)."
If anyone know, what is the solution, please let me know.

Hi,
Try declaring the Hex chars using the ABAP char utilities. This is just a sample piece of code on how to declare and use:
CLASS cl_abap_char_utilities DEFINITION LOAD.
DATA: ws_lf TYPE c VALUE cl_abap_char_utilities=>cr_lf.
data: c_newline TYPE x VALUE '0D'. [ it is zero D, for carriage return ]
ws_lf = c_newline.
 CONCATENATE it_tab-maktx
 ws_lf
 ws_template
 INTO it_notificatn-template.
