Generate buttons dynamically

Is there a way to generate buttons (or other items) dynamically (at run time) using Forms 10g? I am aware of the common technique of creating multiple items and manipulating their visibility dynamically. I'd like to know if there is a way to avoid this.
Perhaps there is a way to do it through Java plug-ins. But I am not familiar with Java, so I am mostly interested in native Forms methods.
I know there is a way to do it in Access, so perhaps Forms have it as well.

How flexible are java beans?In general, java-beans in forms are used to enhance the functionality or add some piece of UI-experience which is not standard in forms. So the question is, what functionality are you missing for a "pure" forms-solution?
perhaps you have experience with both jdeveloper and java-beansYes i do, but thats comparing apples to peaches. JDeveloper is a tool to write any kind of java-applications, java-beans in the sense of forms are "widgets" you can use inside a forms-application.
What kind of application do you want to develop? Is is data-driven, is it a graphical application?
What are the requirements for it? Does it have to be web-based, will be used in intranet and/or internet?
Do you already have forms-applications and the infrastructure you need for it (such as an application server)?
There are a lot of questions which can lead to a decision for forms or any other kind of application-architecture.
Most items on my interface will be non-database controls. They will serve mostly to enter parameters and launch stored procedures.So they are static dialogs ? Why then the need for java-beans?

I need to create Buttons dynamically Please Help

I am currently developing a card game. I represent my cards as buttons. But as the player draws more cards from the deck I have to generate buttons dynamically at run-time. I could use arrays of buttons and store new buttons inside that arrays of buttons. But the only problem is I need ActionListener for each of my buttons. How do you create ActionListener for each different dynamically created buttons? Please Help.

I am searching the user from LDAP on the basis of the first name ( eg. abc ) Entered of the user to be searched and on the click of the Search Button I have displayed the First_Name, Last_Name, & other Info also, & One Button Having the value as the "uid" for all the users having the First Name as ( abc ) in the Form inside a Table using a loop for loop. Now if there are 10 user having the First_name as abc then there are 10 Buttons which has been displayed Now I want that If I click on the Button corresponding to the 3rd User then his all the details which was displayed on the previous page will be passed in the different editable text fields.
The major problen which I am facing in this is that as I am generating all these buttons dynamically & all the buttons have same name but all the buttons have the diffrent values, I am able the generate Different names to all the buttons dynamicall & pass their reference dynamically to the Workflow in a transiction condition dynamically.

if you want some default value in LOV. you go to edit list of value wizard-> UI hint->include no selection Item checkbox -checked.use labeled item first of list- and beside that put the label. but when you try to get value, it will show null.but you can manipulate in ur java , if it default value

   I have used following code to create radio button dynamically. but it's getting dump saying that Could not find attribute STATUS.
Here STATUS is the attribute of the node in View context. But why this dump is coming.

BIND_KEY_TO_SELECT
instead you are passing KEY_TO_SELECT.

How to generate a dynamic selection-screen

I have a itab with all fields and descriptions of a database-table. Now i want to generate a selection screen dynamically. I want to create a select-option for every field of the table.
First I read all fields of a database table into my intern table:

SET PF-STATUS '100' EXCLUDING 'SOMETHING'. hides completely the button.

Sorry forgot to add something to my previous reply...
The complete steps will be as follows :
1. Create Two PF status , One with active Button and Function code and Second with Inactive Function code and Greyed button (This can be acheive by using Push Button assignment as specified in the thread)
2. Dynamically change the PF status to Second one when you want to deactivate the specified Function from the application tool bar.

Text Generator button won't work

Yes, it is a drop-down menu and when I clicked on it, nothing happened—not even the tool tip. However, I just figured out the problem. Somehow, late last night when I was working, the cat began walking on the computer desk and keyboard. In my haste to get him out of the way, I must have clicked on the choice to show my preferred transitions and such only. I had been exploring some of the menus looking for a feature I couldn't remember how to access. Once I clicked on show all just now, I was back in business. Before I did that, I couldn't see any of the transition choices or other options under Effects. Whew, that's a relief. Now, keep your fingers crossed there are enough hours left in this weekend for me to finish this project before I have to show the presentation on Monday night. Off to get more coffee. Thanks for trying to help.

Say : Sales order no & Bin no .
based on this i found some batches from database table using select query .
Now the number of buttons depends on the no of batches i found .
If I get 5 batches , then I will create 5 Push Buttons on screen .
Please let me know , How to create these buttons dynamically on screen .

Can you be little bit more specific, did you receive this error when you are designing this pacakge using BIDS
Becuase when you are designing this pacakge in BIDS, you need to manaually create a excel sheet manually for the first time you run,
are you creating excel sheet using execute sql task and excel connection with input from a variable?
Did you receive this error in validation phase or execution phase ?
Can you share your query to create table in excel ?
