Generate Message Interface for SOAP Adapter

Hi All,
I want to implement a scenario like this:
ABAP System -> RFC Adapter -> XI -> SOAP Adapter -> Web Service
Currently the WSDL of the web service is known. It is http://www.abysal.com/soap/AbysalEmail.wsdl
How can I generate the inbound message interface in XI according to the WSDL?
Thanks
Jerome

Hi Jerome,
Import the WSDL as an external definition and then you can create a inbound Message interface based on that external definition.

  • Importance of Message ID in soap adapter

    Hi
what is the importnace of message id in soap adapter ?? Are there any situations where we send it through query string or message payload ?? I know.......by default IE creates Message ID for any messages that passes through it. But still are there any chances of my said situation ??
Similarly what is the importance of GUID in case of SOAP Adapter ??

    Hi,
I never used sending messageid but it might be used
    to monitor messages
let's say in one middleware the message id is xxx-yyy-zzz
    and in XI it's ttt-yyy-uuu
and if you set mesid = xxx-yyy-zzz it should be xxx-yyy-zzz in both right ?

  • I need to secure SOAP message sent into SOAP adapter, how to?

    Hi guys,
My scenario uses SOAP and I need to secure this SOAP message sent into SOAP adapter. As I have read in the documentation, HTTPS is possible only on the SOAP receiver adapter. But my is SENDER.
COuld you help me please, how to solve it? Or post some link? Or, if you have your own approach, to let me know?
    Thanx, Peter

    Hi,
you can use SSL with the sender adapter. Please see the extract of the SOAP Adapter FAQ (Note #856597) below:
<b>Q:</b> Can I use SSL for my sender adapter?
<b>A:</b> Yes. Normally, the SOAP adapter servlet runs on the engines HTTP port. But you can activate the engine's HTTPS port so that this servlet can receive messages sent to the HTTPS port. See the documentation about the J2EE engine's security configuration.
I am afraid, I haven't yet tried this myself, so you will need to consult the J2EE documentation.

  • Enable a user for SOAP adapter

    Dear all,
I'm using XML Spy to send message to XI SOAP adapter (sender adapter). It always requires me to input the user name and password. I have a user with limited authority in the XI server. How cound I enable this user so that I can use it to communicate with the SOAP adapter?
    Thanks, Jerome

    Jerome,
ask your basis to create a sercivce userid and password . for testing you can use ur userid even though if dont many authorization.if ur user basic authorization this should work.

  • Using one Message Interface for all mappings

    Hi Folks,
I am using a BPM in which i m getting a file from file system which have system ID in it.
I am having three send Synchronous step following that.
What i need is to use the Message interface for file to be used for receiver determination based on system id in case of Synchronous interfaces.
DO i need to include this File msg. interface in each mapping, if i do so will it be possible to send req. and get response for synchronous call.
OR is there any way to to use the file msg. interface for each mapping.
we are on SP17,I also tried Extended mapping but i am having SYNCHRONOUS send steps.
    Plz help me out
    Sachin

    Bhavesh
<i>1. You receiver a file in your BPM . This has a field called SYSTEM ID?
    2. On the basis of the System ID field you need to determine the Receiver to which the Synchronous Request message has to be sent?</i>
Sorry for that...because I was confused with jai's ans.. that's why said like that
    <b>You are absolutely correct</b>
This is what i want to do.
i can't use switch step here.  my BPM looks like this
    RecFile->sync send->transformation1->transformation2->sync send2->transformation3->BLOCK
    in BLOCK
    Sync Send3->transformation4 and so on...
I am using three different Sync ABS Interface for each Sync send steps.
In receiver determination i want to get the data from respective R/3 system based on system ID i.e. logical system in File MI.
Say if it T90CLNT90 then get data from BS_SAPR3_4.6 else from BS_4.7

  • Message Archiving for the Adapter Engine

    Hi,
we have configured archiving for Integration Engine (SXMB_MONI) messages on the Production XI System. is it necessary to configure Message Archiving for the Adapter Engine also ? in which scenarios archived adapter messages are useful ? are there any other advantages/disadvantages for this(in case of errored messages on the adapter engine) ? Please share any ideas.
    Thanks
    Pavan.

    >>is it necessary to configure Message Archiving for the Adapter Engine also
Not necessary, but depends upon the scenario, lets say you are posting messages to external partner's FTP and there was some issue in connectivity due to which file was not delivered,in this case you need to send the message again.
same thing can happen in inbound messages too.
    >>in which scenarios archived adapter messages are useful ?
i would do this specifically for JDBC sender coz once you pick up the files based upon SQL query, you change the flag so that those values are not picked next time,in this case you can't re-run the old query and get same results.
this also holds for proxies and file too.
    Thanx

  • Abstract asynchronous message interface for fault (exception) messages

    Hi,
Has anyone yet discovered how to create an abstract asynchronous message interface for a fault message so that said message can be referenced in an Integration Process? I am currently at a loss as to how to reference the exception message returned by a synchronous RFC call, and how to return the fault message of a synchronous MI from a BPM.
Thanks for any help you can provide on this issue - please do not refer me to existing blogs or forum messages if they do not specifically answer this question in a positive manner. I have just been through the SAP Notes and the SDN forum and Google and while I have seen many questions about this topic I have not seen any answers.
    Stephen

    hi stephen,
never worked on this but out ofcuriosity after seeing ur question i tried to  create one:
    but i found these:
fault message types will only be used in case of synchronous messages.....if it is asynchronous the fault message type radio button it self will not seen while creating message interface..just check.
you need to create a Fault message type to use it in an interface...u can add your own fields also if u want.
in your present case you mentioned you are using synchronous RFC...try creating a synchronous abstract interface there you can give fault message type also...just check by creating one...
correct me if i am wrong...
    regards.

You are getting the exception at very first point of Pipeline Service i.e Receiver Determination, do compare the namespace, Sender Interface Name & Sender Service name with the payload you are sending from web-application, they must be exactly same.
The best way to get the test payload is suggested in above reply.

  • Do we need to create message interfaces for idocs and rfcs thatare imported

do we need to create message interfaces for idocs and rfcs thatare imported
    from sap server
in scenarios from sap system to file or vice versa
i knew that we need not create message types
do we also skip creating message interfaces

    hi,
you create an abstract message interface for IDOC only if you want to use
them in a BPM (integration process)
for more about IDOCs have a look at my book:

  • Setting interface name dynamically from client for SOAP Adapter...

    Hi,
does anyone have experience in setting the sender interface name in the HTTP-SOAP request dynamically? I have followed the instructions in "How To Use the XI 3.0 SOAP Adapter" on page 17 (see also SAP Note 856597) which say:
"If you select Use Encoded Headers and Use Query String,
[...]The sender SOAP adapter creates the XI message header according to the
information provided in the query string. [...] In the sender SOAP adapter, you can use only some of the parameters, but the first
parameter must always be the version. For example, you send from the Web service client to the following URL: http://<host>:<j2ee-port>/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=<party>:<service>:<channel>&version=3.0&Interface=http%3A
    %2F%2Fsap.com%2Ftest%5ETest
This will overwrite the default interface and namespace of the sender channel."
This is exactly what I need! However, what I actually get as a response following this description is a SOAP:Fault with a java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException: String index out of range: -1.
Has anyone got this to work properly?
    Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your input. I am using the following format for the call (with "x" standing for one letter each):
    http://xix.xxx.xx.xxx:5xx00/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:xx_xxx_xxx_xxxx:xx_xxx_x_SOAP_S&version=3.0&Interface=http%3A%2F%2Fxxxxxxxx.xx%2Fxxxxxx%2Fxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx%5Exxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Anything wrong with that? With unchecked "Use Encoded Headers" and "Use Query String" it works fine (default interface) but as soon as I set these flags I get the SOAP-Fault response.
We are on XI 3.0 SPS18.

  • PI 7.0: Message prioritisation in adapter engine for SOAP adapter.

    Hi All,
We have both high and low priority synchronous messages using the SOAP sender Channel of the Central AE.
How can we make sure that High Prio messages ALWAYS get a thread right away when entering the AE? Installing a separate AE is not an option.
When I look in RWB->Component Monitoring->Adapter Engine->Engine Status in the Queues tab, I see this:
    SOAP_http://sap.com/xi/XI/SystemCall Yes 5(5) 5
    SOAP_http://sap.com/xi/XI/SystemRqst Yes 5(5) 5
When a new High Prio message enters, it can take more than one hour before it gets processed, because there are 1000 Low Prio messages also using the same 5 available Threads...
This delay is of course unacceptable for High Prio messages.
I checked in many other threads in SDN, looks like we cannot priortise for particular messages in PI 7.0, as we can do only at adapter level, not at interface level.
I was thinking of going to the approach which was suggested by "Gr, Wout" in the below thread.
xi prioritization in adapter engine (ae, af, adapter framework, java, jca)
Creating own adapter "MYSOAP" by copying the metadata of SOAP adapter. By that we can use our own adapter "MYSOAP" for high priority interfaces.
what you think guys about this approach?
Is there any thing I need to take care going through this approach apart from copying SOAP metadata into my own adapter.?
    Thanks
